Pizza from Stoners Pizza Joint

Omg, we wanted to try something new and had high expectations based on another friends review. When we got delivery it was basically a piece of rubber with cheese. The XL pizza dough was stretched so thin and did not taste good at all. We New Yorkers are hard to please when it comes to our pizza and this time we were truly disappointed. Sorry guys but I had to take you off my list of great pla

Amazing flavor, timely, and well priced for the quality of the food. Service was quick and easy - we placed an online order and picked up in-store.

Ordered on Uber eats and the food was ready pretty quickly. The people working there were super friendly. Great experience. Good food.

Great weekday slice deals for a quick lunch. 2 medium sized slices plus a drink for around 5 bucks and it's quick. The slices are not huge but decent if looking for a quick bite.

No bathrooms for customers so that kinda sucks. Pizza is a college student kind of pizza. It tastes good but is incredibly greasy. I killed a tree blotting it with napkins. For drinks you have to buy a bottle of water or pop, boo. There is a dine in area but it was vacant when we got there. Overall, this is a solid choice. Just one I won't go out of my way to return to.

Looking for late night food after we drove to Columbia for a comedy show... and nothing in this town was open besides pizza.. we got a cheese pizza and some garlic parm wings. I will say that the pizza was really good, but the wings could have used some salt. They were good, but once I put salt on them, they were much better..

Cheesy bread

Worst customer experience ever. The door barely works, and the employees are absolutely terrible at customer service. The cashier was rude from the start, and the food is awful. To the clueless staff: learn some manners, bro. This place is trash.

This is my second time ordering delivery from Stoner's and it was just as good as my very first time. I ordered the large Nice to Meat You, such a cute name! The crust type I ordered was the NY Thin. I believe I received hand tossed this time around because I could totally tell the difference from the first time, but it was okay because it was still good! I enjoyed the very hearty amounts of cheese and meat! The sauce was a good ratio to the dough, meats, and cheese. The pizza was a really good size, the slices were good sizes, and the entire pizza is enough for about 2 to 3 people to be filled. I also ordered 10 wings with the Kickin Bourbon flavor. The wings were good! Tasted as if they were baked, and they were very saucy. The sauce was so flavorful kind of sweet with a hint of bourbon and a light kick. I put my wings back in the oven for just a little bit longer to achieve a crisp which is how I prefer my wings. I am ready for my next order and I will be ordering the wings with the same flavor to accompany the pizza!!

You feel the local love and familiar faces of those who frequent. Being off Devine, so parking, although not as bad as other areas, still is a little challenging, but it's so worth it. I went at lunch, and it was busy; however, the service was welcoming. Again, it was a feeling of comfort and nostalgia. The menu looked like it had a lot of good options. We ordered the salmon special, which came with rice and a green salad. The food didn't take too long at all. Everything looked fresh. It almost took me on a mental trip back to Greece and how fresh those ingredients were. I should have captured the after picture of the plate. I ate every drop. Everything was so delicious, from the salad to the rice with the juices and sauce from the salmon seeping throughout. The salmon was so delicious. It was like grilled yet cooked to perfection and full of flavor and extremely tasty. Even my lunch partner enjoyed every last drop of their food. Needless to say, I'll be back to enjoy more. Also, the prices were pretty decent for the portion. I was very pleased.

The tomatoes were the cheap Walmart Roma tomatoes that need at least a week of ripening before they are good to eat. The lettuce was clean and fresh but that was it, it barely had any seasoning or dressing. Horrible. We had to wait quite a bit which would not matter if the food was good. The pita bread was probably store bought or just made cheaply. I know it is Columbia, and I have given up expecting great quality restaurants, I know the standards are pretty low here, but this placemos bad. Service was really good and the waitress was nice and polite.

The food was on point! The gyro meat was seasoned to perfection. I opted to swap the rice out for their veggies and it was a great call. There were bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms in there which complimented the meat perfectly. Their tzatziki is homemade and the perfect contrast to the dish. I'll definitely be back for lunch or dinner soon!

There was also a nice roasted red pepper and black olive salad that came with it. My only criticism is that I felt like the portion of octopus was small for $21. Then I decided to try the Boeuf bourguignon. This was definitely comfort food. A very tasty beef stew, but a bit different recipe than I'm used to for this dish. Theirs has potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. But the broth tastes like they might also use a touch of tomato paste. I could be wrong. Nonetheless, it was tasty and the thick broth was yummy on the piece of crusty bread it was served with. I'm tempted to come back and order the entree size of the octopus for $32 and see what the portion size is. Service was excellent. Very attentive.

For dessert, we took the advice of our server and ordered the Ube Basque Cheesecake. Wow! (Pictured is the portion we brought home.) I'm a good cook, so when eating out, I expect to have a meal that surpasses my skills. And this most certainly did. The presentation was excellent. I don't give the ambiance a 10, but that's so secondary to the meal I just enjoyed. Thank you to Chef Emma and team!

The menu has great choices that I haven't seen elsewhere. I ordered chicken salad in a bread bowl, and it was really delicious. The bowl is topped with cheese and popped in the over, so it arrives hot. The bread bowl had a wonderfully crispy crust and tender inside, and the chicken salad was warm and tasty. I've had soup bread bowls, but not hot and crispy, and of course, not chicken salad. The sides menu is a long list; I chose onion rings. They were plentiful, crunchy, and very flavorful - as far from the heavily breaded limp onion rings most places serve as you could get. The only downside about my born day is the close proximity to Valentine's day. Which can sometimes make the planning around the commercialized love day tricky... especially when it comes to restaurant reservations.... Womp womp. Backstreets Grill said they could accommodate a party of 8. They were clearly busy and with our party size we could understand. Nonetheless, we had a very loonnngggg wait, which was frustrating and deflating. We waited 4x the time the young ladies initially told us upon arrival. However, once we were finally seated things started to turn around slightly. I say slightly because we were seated on the enclosed patio, with a portable heater but several people were cold. Just to think they kept asking us and others if we wanted to sit outside. (It's February @ night). Now the food: Some of the dishes were more favorable than others and I must admit all of my personal choices were great. Appetizers: -Mussels - White Wine (My Order) -Fried Oysters (I tried) -Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna -Lump Crab Dip (I tried) -Tomato Parmesan Soup (My Order) -Side House & Caesar Salads (I tried) I personally had the Mussels, which were perfect, and the tomato parmesan soup and both made you want to like the bowl. The broths were so good. I tried the fried oysters, they were also very good, but the presentation was a little messy. The Lump Crab Dip and the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna completely fell short and were not memorable at all and the side salads were sad. Entrées: -Cajun Chicken Pasta w/ Blackened Shrimp (My order) -Buffalo Chicken Pizza (I tried) -House-made Meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes & vegetables -Pork-chop w/ mashed potatoes & green beans -Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla w/ Fries -Ribeye w/ Truffle Parmesan Fries My sister and I both ordered the Cajun Chicken pasta, I added the blackened shrimp to my order, we were both extremely happy. The dish was not spicy but it was well balanced. The recipients of the Meatloaf, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and the Quesadilla were all also pleased with their dishes. The folks that ordered the ribeye and the two pork-chops were not impressed... the dishes were just ok. Our server Adrian, was pleasant, but you can tell he was very overwhelmed which sometimes didn't translate well. As the night went on we understood he was being pulled in multiple directions at once and he did good despite of it. Overall I enjoyed my celebration and experience @ Backstreets Grill. Just A Note: I notice that they can get busy so be ready to wait. Even smaller parties were forced to stretch their patience.
