I was in the mood for pizza so we stopped by Mod Pizza. This was our first time eating from here. We ordered the Tristan pizza, Cheese bread and Mad Dog. The Tristan Pizza was good. It had Mozzarella, Asiago, Mushrooms, Roasted Red Peppers with a Garlic Pesto Finish. I am a lover of cheese, so this was perfect for me:) My husband tried the Mad Dog. He said it was tasty and he liked the crunchy thin crust. It had Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Mild Italian Sausage, Seasoned Ground Beef and a Signature Tomato Sauce. I adored the Cheese Bread! It was light, not overbearing with cheese. I enjoyed the taste. Overall, the meal was great, and the customer service was wonderful. Looking forward to trying out something different next time we visit. read more

I love the vegan option . The restaurant was clean. Staff were friendly. Food came out fast.

Well priced personal pizzas! The cauliflower crust is pretty good and they always ask if it's and allergy or preference, which I appreciate. read more

Comes out hot. You watch them make it so you can ask for more toppings. There is not a lot of seating so if it is busy you may have to wait for a seat if dining in. Noise is moderate. Great place for family and friends. They work with local schools for fund raising. Watch the area around the register for notices of who they are working with and say to the cashier that you are with that school to help raise money for them. read more

MOD Pizza wine me over seven years ago after a bad experience at Pieology. When I want to splurge on pizza (but want to somewhat be healthy), MOD is always my go to. The decor is always full of photos and a chill crowd for a Friday night at 7. Check this place out! read more

I love the place it has good food and a nice sit down area staff are lovely as well. The prices are a bit high but worth it

Came here for good pizza and MOD Pizza delivered it to me! So many choices and combinations to fill your pizza need! The interior is modern and well done with the ingredient bar in full sight when you get ready to order. After a little bit of indecision I got the Dominic with extra chicken and black olives. Changed the tomato slices for the roasted ones and had a perfect combination. They cook them fast and it came out ready to eat! My only issue was I should have gotten it cut into squares, other than that it was perfect! Highly recommend but your points go away pretty quick read more

Double charged by the app when trying to redeem a reward. They made the order twice and when I told them that was a clear mistake they laughed in my face and said enjoy the 4 pizzas!! Clear fraud and would avoid ordering online ever. Plan to deal with corporate but obviously the teenagers there were not equipped to handle the situation appropriately. read more

I LOVE mod pizza. The choices you have are endless. I really appreciate pizza places having crust options for others. I get their mad dog pizza with cauliflower crust and with the modification it is about $13. My daughter's kid cheese pizza was about $8 I believe and with 2 drinks the total was about $30. I normally get her the regular 11" and she can eat the whole thing, when I got her the kid one, she said that's it ? that's how much she loves their pizza. They cook it perfectly every time . When we walked in, all the workers said hi or welcome at different times and one said "you guys are so uncoordinated " lol I didn't mind though. The guy making our pizzas was a little quiet and seemed to need help but he was nice. Everyone seemed very sweet and helpful. They keep their establishment fairly clean as well. I love their aesthetic as well with all the photos on the wall. I do wish they weren't so expensive but everything healthy is expensive but nonetheless I will still buy it especially because it's close to my house lol. read more

This was my first time ordering from this establishment. I ordered a cheese pizza. My order was ready on time. I was looking forward to tasting the pizza, but upon the first bite, it tasted off. The pizza tasted a bit soapy and bitter. This was not my favorite pizza. read more

Service was good. Employees were friendly and helpful. Pizza was good. Atmosphere casual. Good place to go if you want a quick bite to eat at a sit down place. Make the pizza in front of you and it's done in a few minutes. Cheap base line price but extras on pizza add up quick. read more

The pizza is amazing at MOD'S! The service is okay. You can tell there are young people, likely teenagers working. They're very scarce when it comes to the toppings. I always get my pizza to go but the ambiance is always nice there. read more

Fast food pizza sounds crazy. It might be crazy but it's also pretty awesome. On the front of the building on the sign it says "super fast" and that it was. I've never been to a MOD Pizza before. I was out of town and following my people to where they wanted to eat. I am very particular about what toppings I put on my pizza. I was happy to find out that this place has build-your-own personal pizzas. On my pizza, all I got was pepperoni and pineapple, my fave. It came out within 5 minutes. It was spectacularly fast. By the time we got our drinks and picked a table, our food was ready. Was it good though? I thought so. I ate some then and saved half for later. The personal pizza I got was 11 inches. That's pretty big to eat all at once, though I could if I was really hungry. They had a bunch of miniature pizza boxes by the drinks. I grabbed one of those and put my left over pizza in it. Very cute little pizza boxes, way too small to put a whole pizza in. However, for just a couple slices, it was perfect. It fits in the refrigerator nicely. I heard that they opened a MOD Pizza in west ashley. I'll probably be trying them out one day soon. The pizza at this location was great and so was the service. I will keep this place in mind next time I travel to Columbia and I'll make sure to try out the Charleston locations as well! read more

I love pizza! This is the only pizza I buy now. It's not greasy and every pizza is made fresh with ingredients that you pick yourself.

Really good pizza- I love when they have their Flash MOD deals. A lot of quality ingredients for the price. If the rewards program was a little more reasonable ($150 spent for a free pizza?!) would be willing to give that 5th star. read more

The fact they have gluten free crust is a plus in my opinion. I enjoy the creativity you have with your pizza.

Ordered door dash who delivered the wrong pizza. DoorDash said to call mod. I did and they said to call DoorDash. Also I could come and pick up the order. I call to resolve with door dash and on my way call mod who then Told me they threw away the order because I told them too. Which I did not. Terrible service read more

This was my first time to MOD Pizza. I got a salad while the rest of my family got pizzas. I ordered a mini-bowl and you can basically add whatever topping you want to it within the bowl. My bowl overflowed a bit and the staff wanted to put it in a bigger bowl so that it's easier to eat from (this was at the end of my order when I finished with my topping selections). However, she was instructed to only serve it in the small bowl and whatever overflowed was to be trashed. That was definitely wasteful, especially, if they do that for every customer who orders a salad. Thinking of all the food wasted past, present, and future is upsetting. read more

So--our family eats here about once a week. I'm so ashamed to write that but it's totally true. I can't think yummy, fast, inexpensive, healthish dinner without going MOD. The location is great for us, the people know us by name and are always awesome, the pizza is just fun. One thing I wanted to make sure to highlight is this. You will never run out of options at MOD because they are always changing things up. We go all the time and there are usually new ingredients and fun new items to try. It never gets old for being the same concept. They will have cauliflower rice and artichokes and then the next week it's like roasted corn and avocados and then the next week they have roasted garlic and palm hearts. #alwaysfresh #always relevant They brought in these new lava brownie cake desserts that are awesome. Just in case that pizza doesn't fill you up. I'm a MOD lover and I think they are awesome. You try it out and see what you think! DIY pizza for life is my plan though. read more

Amazing place for my first time coming here. Heard about it so decided to try it. Ordered the maddy which is a regular cheese pizza but got the MOD. The selection of choices looked fresh and appealing. The service was super quick. From start of my order to receiving it took less than 5 minutes. The pizza looked amazing and tasted great as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again. Quick Read: Gluten Free? No. We don't normally go here, but went to change up our routine. We started off feeling safe when they asked if my pizza crust was gluten-free for preference or allergy - they changed gloves right away. The glove change didn't matter when they cross-contaminated my entire pizza and placed it directly on the oven floor where previous wheat crusts were baking. Corporate clearly doesn't understand Celiac disease, and while the employees mean well, it's just not safe. I literally had to walk out and throw out my entire pizza (I wasn't about to be rude to the employees) and go elsewhere. Food allergies are no joke and I'm surprised at how careless MOD is with them. Edit in response to owner: Gluten friendly means absolutely nothing when you're cooking on surfaces filled with wheat flour. This is a misleading and dangerous marketing term that only serves people on a gluten-free diet to be trendy. read more

Ordered online for pick up for the first time for a work lunch and it was fantastic! I've never eaten here before but ordering was simple, easy, and came out perfectly. I ordered a three cheese pizza, but they have tons of options that you add to your pizza, which makes it perfect for any type of eater. I also like that the add on options don't cost extra like most places. I loved the taste and the size of the pizza so I will definitely be back for the in-house experience read more

MOD Pizza - 11-inch pizza with Red Sauce, Asiago, Mozzarella, Bacon, Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, Salami, Oregano - Pizza Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

Takeout for lunch, first time. The order was ready right on time, the staff greeted me and were very friendly. We got the 11" pizza's: mad dog and another. Perfect portion, hot and fresh. We're veterans and visit Dorn VA several time's a month (transplants from Tampa, FL). We have been to several fast food or takeout type restaurants around Columbia and were very disappointed. The restaurants have been dirty, with rude or careless staff. They made mistakes with our orders. Really gave a bad impression of Columbia. We decided to try again because we were starving and you did it. Thank you for being the first great experience for us. Will come back often. read more

I am a fan. I can't help but thank of Cosmo Kramer when I think of making your own pizza. It's not quite make your own, you get to choose toppings kind of like going to Subway, but this is with pizza. The people working there were really nice and helpful. You can pick from standards on the wall, or just come up with your own. You can also go with a standard, but alter the toppings. They offer a cauliflower crust, which I thought would be a good low carb option, but then I read later that it's still high in carbs, because of the other stuff added to make cauliflower look like a pizza crust. They asked me my reason for going with the cauliflower, which I found a bit intrusive, but then they explained they just wanted to know if I had any allergies. My wife loved her pizza, and liked mine a lot. I was a little disappointed that the cauliflower crust is a bit misleading, around 87 carbs in a whole crust, for that reason I go with 4 instead of 5, but we will be back. read more

FYI...the pizza is really good, made your way in front of you, baked to perfection, and ready fast! Everything would be perfect IF they had tables that didn't actually injure you as you sit down. Also, these tables are the exact height of your toddler's head, so please be careful read more

The service is awful. The people are so slow and have no costumer service. When making my pizza the guy stuck his hand in the cheese with no glove on...Gross. My favorite MOD in Columbia! Staff is super friendly and pizza is delicious! We order online and never a wait.

This is the first time I've experienced the sandwich-line model (Subway/Moe's) used to make pizza, and I have to admit to loving it! The number and variety of toppings (and drizzles!) is beyond reproach -- from the expected (pepperoni, sausage, mozzerella) to the upscale (asiago, gorgonzola, ricotta, artichoke hearts) to the "Why haven't I ever thought about putting this on a pizza!" (roasted cauliflower, rosemary). My wife loved the fig balsamic glaze on her custom pie. Our pizzas were transferred from the line to the oven and delivered to us within minutes. Minutes! Their salad bar looks just as scrumptious -- any toppings that can go on your pizza can go on your salad. Heck, they even have a salad pizza! I plan on trying the salads next time, but I can't pass up a gluten free crust when one appears in my dietary landscape. Our delicious meal was fully enjoyed in a clean, relaxed environment -- the brand new space they carved out across from Target is roomy and uncluttered, and decorated with images made specific to Columbia. The bathroom was even spacious and spotless. We are eager to return for another visit! read more

Wow! My first experience with MOD pizza and couldn't have asked for more. I called in a take-out order, chose the Lucy Sunshine and added arugula. Was told it would only be ten minutes. Arrived, it was ready, I was quickly served and left. Then the best part happened: I tried it. Again, wow! Such fresh ingredients. The perfect balance of the ingredients, as well. Well after reading such mixed reviews we decided to go there tonight to check it out. We were all pleasantly surprised. We all got different pizzas and we were all pleased. We mentioned several times during dinner how good they were. The place has LOTS of different toppings. All fresh and tasty. The service was good too. Pizzas came out quickly. I also tried the salad. It was good and had fresh ingredients. We will be coming back! For the people that left bad reviews for this place , I recommend they try Mod again. read more

MOD Pizza - Sorry.... The Pizza was good and I ate most of it before I remembered to take the picture. I'll do better next time. - Pizza Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

3 stars for now. MOD Pizza opened 6/28, so the employees are still "green" and have corporate trainers breathing down their necks and watching their every move... which made for a kind of awkward experience. The set up is like Moe's (they even yell "Welcome to MOD!," when you walk in). They offer 3 different sizes with "unlimited" toppings for the same price - so of course portion control is key. I felt like they were a bit stingy on the cheese... my coworker ordered more than 5 toppings and the corporate chick was watching the creation of her pizza like a hawk. After you order, you move down the line to pay, after you pay, you kinda stand around near the drink machine or wall alongside tables with people dining while you wait for your name to be called (you can also order online if you want to skip the line). I paid $8.61 for a "mod" size CYO pizza - I was hungry and it was decent. They have quite a few toppings and finishing sauces to choose from so the creations are endless. I don't think I'd want to dine in due to the set up of the place (from ordering to waiting - the line follows around along the tables and people have nothing better to do than to hover over and watch you eat, while they wait.) All staff were friendly (hoping it doesn't wear off after corporate is gone) - a few of the trainers were a bit snippy with the staff, which I'd rather not be a witness to... the process was fairly quick, I'm glad a new food option is in the area and I do look forward to trying the place again once things have settled down. read more
