With the crazy rise in popularity of compounded semaglutide, you have SO MANY OPTIONS of compounding pharmacies to use... choose ANY OTHER PHARMACY!! Takes at least 4 weeks to get a refill. This alone is not the problem, as I understand they have probably had massive growth and these things take time. The problem is the COMMUNICATION!!! There is absolutely no way to get a hold of an actual employee of this pharmacy. You can send them a text, that will sit ignored. Or you can call the CALL CENTER they've hired, that will only take your message and send it to them (the same thing that you do yourself when you text them). After going through this several times, I finally found a different compounding pharmacy that is able to keep up with the demand and actually answer their damn phones. If you can't keep up with the demand, you should stop taking on new clients. This place is an absolute scam. I have canceled my prescription days ago, still no response. Just waiting for them to still charge my card since they don't check or respond to messages. Will be disputing any future charges from this joke of a business. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever had at a pharmacy. My physician sent the medication to be compounded over on March 10. I never heard back so I went the next week and they said they didn't have it. Went back a week later and still no meds. Talked to my doctor and they said it should be there. Before you consister using this pharmacy, look at all the 1 star reviews first! I am a practitioner myself and have never experienced such a lack of concern for their patient's health as I have witnessed with this company. My pharmacist recommended I go here to save some money on an expensive rx. A lack of service and mistrust is all I've experienced. Not only did it take over a month to get my meds, the instructions came back with a notable error on it. When I called to get clarification they told me it could be up to 48 hours before they get back to me! This is for diabetics! I called a second time to explain the urgency and I thought that might merit a more expedient response! But heard nothing from them. If you tell a pharmacy there may be a critical mistake on the instructions given to their patient, wouldn't you think they would be more diligent to attempt to resolve the problem immediately? Where do I even begin with this place. My doctor sent my prescription on June 9th. After repeated calls, texts and emails that were never returned (maybe 2). They took money out of my account on June 29th. Have not heard a word from them since. Avoid this place at all costs. If your doctor wants to send your compound prescription to Stonegate, request them for a different pharmacy instead. Avoid Stonegate at all costs. This place is a disaster. Dr McGrath sent my prescription here. Every time I needed a refill, it was an exercise in patience. If you call them, no one answers. They give you a voice prompt saying submit refill requests online. I submitted online. Nothing happened. Waited for weeks then called. Finally got a hold of someone and he said, oh, I don't have your payment info. Duh! Your online refill request form doesn't have any payment option. Today I called for a refill. After a long wait time, someone answers. She says she is not able to process any refill. She is an outsourced phone agent who is not even in the pharmacy. Are you kidding me! How do I get my refill? Oh! You can email us? No thank you. I finally gave up and called Dr. McGrath office. They are sending my prescription to a different pharmacy. Thank You. Hopefully this will be the end of me dealing with Stonegate. We hear so much about independent pharmacies complaining about loss of business due to chains like Walgreens. I want to support such local businesses, but get your act together. Looks like this pharmacy has been a clown show for a while now. They have had multiple complaints and lawsuits filed against them, and multiple citations due to improper compounding. I am borderline diabetic, but not over the hump yet, so while my doctor wanted to put me on meds to prevent, insurance refused to pay. My doctor decided to try compound pharmacy - expensive but nowhere near what brand names cost option. I'll be honest, there were some bumps on the road with misunderstandings between Dr's office and Stonegate, not really sure whose fault it was. I would have given Stonegate 4 1/2 stars if there was half star option. Why I chose 5 stars? Excellent packing/shipping and excellent customer service. I would email a question and someone would call me back, answer all my questions and take their time, make me feel like they are in no rush to hang up. They taught me better ways to inject myself, made sure I felt comfortable doing it. I still need to do bloodwork to see where my A1C is after a few months on the meds, but it cured my insatiable appetite and I lost close to 40 lbs as a bonus. read more

Worst customer service. If they answer the phone, script is, "I'm forwarding your message and someone should get back to you in 48-72 hours." No one ever calls back. After waiting 30 days with no mailing confirmation, my doctor called my Rx into another compounding pharmacy. Called Stonegate to cancel my order today, 31 days after Rx faxed, and finally received a text stating, "unfortunately order cannot be canceled since it has been processed for shipping." First off the phamacist should be embarrassed but he is not . He was quite condescending and has a complete disregard for patient safety. It is unsafe for people regardless of the medication to run out. They have had my prescription for a month . Apparently for GLP1 the wait time is 3 to 4 weeks which isn't noted on the website . If you are talking a glp1 please find another pharmacy because you will run out . You can't call and text will be ignored. I am currently at the pharmacy waiting for my meds that has been in the same status for a week. When I asked to speak to the pharmacist his only response is that they were behind and I could PAY $50 to expedite it . How do you keep a prescription for a month and ignore all communication and then tell the customer that they could pay to expedite it . This pharmacy is a money grab . I would not send my prescription to this pharmacy bc you cannot call and they ignore text. The online portal is not accurate . This is a trash pharmacy and the pharmacist is a money hungry parasite. If they wanted to make this place more efficient stop taking so many orders until you have the STAFF and an additional LOCATION to facilitate the volume of customers . It is not safe to run out of your medication and even if you submit it ahead of time it still takes almost a MONTH to get the prescription . I'm very sorry to have to write this, but it's just ridiculous. I have a prescription that's supposed to last me thirty days, according to my psychiatrist. Therefore, I'm scheduled for renewal at that point- again, according to an educated professional who's been in this field since 1979, treating me for twenty years, and treating my family for thirty years. In other words: my doctor knows more than you, and you should be listening to what he tells you rather than going off what you personally think should be happening. Anyway, I'm scheduled for renewal after thirty days. The pharmacy is insisting it's a fifty day supply and refuse to fill it, which is obviously well past my refill date. My medication costs $105 a bottle. Upon being asked, they claimed it should cost $140 a bottle for fifty days, including the last so-called fifty day supply, filled last month (every other bottle has been filled after thirty days, mind you, and it's been going on for nearly a year), and thirty days would cost $105. Naturally, I was only charged $105 last month. When I explained this to the person I spoke with on the phone, he quickly backpedaled and said it should only cost $105. So which is it? To make matters even worse (and indeed, make the company itself look even worse), first my doctor's assistant called the pharmacy, explained the situation, explained her calculations and that it was indeed for thirty days, not fifty. They insisted it was for fifty. So my doctor (again, a medical professional of over forty years) called in and explained the same thing. This is an expensive medication. The least you could do is do what the prescribing doctor tells you to do. Instead, they're going against what the doctor says. I now have no choice but to take my business elsewhere, unless I want a twenty day gap in my medication availability. read more

I discovered Stonegate Pharmacy because I was looking for a specific product that is not carried at chain drug stores. I came across their website and read up on them. They are a neighborhood pharmacy founded by a UT grad who really wanted to focus on customer service. I stopped in there today and found what I was looking for and noticed they carried products other than just your typical Tylenol and Aleve. Its a small pharmacy, so I wasn't able to pick up other products like toothpaste and deodorant, like you could at a Walgreen's. But I did notice while I was in there that they seemed to know their customer's names and were having conversations with them like they were friends. (maybe they were friends, who knows?). I am reserving the 5th star until I actually deal with them filling a prescription for me to see how well they work with the insurance company. I mostly plan on using them in the future because they deliver to the surrounding neighborhoods! That is really amazing! The last thing anyone wants to do when feeling ill is drive to the pharmacy and wait for your meds to be filled. read more

I know that this is one of the only compounding pharmacies that can do the new glp1 medications IN AUSTIN. I get that they are beyond overwhelmed. Not possible to get an answer about anything. Minus that they don't tell you your price before saying they will charge your card. Then you can't get ahold of them to confirm a price. One of the last of the independent pharmacies, these folks are great. Compounded drugs are an interesting item to shop, because every pharmacy that compounds (and there are not many) charges a different price and the variance has no rhyme or reason. If you don't know what a compounded drug is, it is when the pharmacist mixes the drug from the raw ingredients. This is generally done because a different dosage is needed; of because they may need it in a different form (liquid instead of a pill, for example); the formula that is prescribed is not available in that combination from a production pharmacy; or they may need to either add or omit a certain ingredient due to things like patient allergies. I called around to price compounding a non-standard dosage of a standard drug for my dog and they were less than 50% of what People's Rx charges. The best part... they deliver compounded items for free. That's old fashioned service back to the days of black & white TV and George Bailey! I love it. My neighborhood pharmacy, S & S, was subsumed into this one a while back, so all my info and prescriptions got automatically transferred here. Every single time I've used them, they've gotten something small wrong. I call in two prescriptions, but only one gets filled. They say they'll call me when a prescription is ready, then they don't call. And so forth. Also, the complex they're in has a driveway with an enormous bump in it that you can't see as you drive up because it's level with the sidewalk. It now has big yellow signs warning drivers to slow down, but before they were put up, that bump caused $2000 worth of damage to my car. Obviously, that's not the pharmacy's fault, but it is a huge disincentive for me to continue going there (unless they want to start paying my automobills). read more
