Fun place to eat. We had the tri-tip family meal. The beef was fantastic, the breadsticks good, and the salad okay. Maybe next time we'll try the Caesar salad. Lots of take home for 3. Even 5 or 6 could share. read more

I'm a regular here, the food is always great. Their salads are amazing, good variety and very filling. The ribs are tender fall of the bone finger licking good. Really, pretty much everything tastes delicious. read more

Really people?? I question the palate of any person who gave this joint 5 stars. I will save you the bitter diatribe. You want pizza? go to the Luggage room. You Want BBQ, go to Lucille's. You want a sandwich....well you get the point. I will conclude this with YUCK!! side-note: don't order the pasta, your better off buying a box of easy mac. read more

Darn! I really wanted to like the food. Didn't happen. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a side of cowboy beans - to go. Big mistake! Had I dined in I would have sent it back. Pulled pork should never be chunks, especially chunks of fat! Pulled pork should never have one inch pieces of sharp bones. Jeez! This happens when cooks are lazy. Beans also had chunks of fat. When you bite into a big glob of fat it pretty much destroys the appetite but I was really hungry. I tried another....what the heck? Worse than the first bite. Next time I'll order...oh wait, no next time. One star because the host brought my order outside where I was standing with my dog. Nice of him. read more

Usually I don't bother writing reviews but this time I made an exception because of the quality of the food I received. I got FREE STONE inside my food, yes a STONE. What a terrible place with terrible quality of food. When I called up the manager she was clueless about the entire situation. I would never recommend anyone to go to this place ever. read more

I am very disappointed in this restaurant, got there ordered my food and the restaurant was dirty, more then half of the tables was dirty with dishes and food, we decided to eat outside and low and behold the tables outside was dirty as well. We went back inside and decided to find a table big enough for our party which we did and it took them 15minutes to have someone clean our table SMDH! Our food had arrived but the table was still dirty and it's a damn shame. I have the pictures and I took video to prove it. The manager there need to learn how to use his staff properly because most of them was in the kitchen talking instead of cleaning the restaurant. read more

Large portions! Very good food and great service! Delicious bread sticks ! Service is great!

Love this Restaurant. Why? Cost, taste, quick service. They have great lunch menu. I had a salad (5choices), a bread stick and chicken for $8. I prefer lemon pepper garlic sauce for the chicken. Beside they have the other sauce out for self service. The chicken, surprisingly, was juicy for white meat. I like their bbq chop salad and Caesar salad. If you can't decide tri-tip or chicken for the bbq chop salad, no worries, order half and half. Another plus to why I like this place so a lot, free soda water and fresh !!! read more

Stonefire Grill - Perfect lunch special size & $ - American Near Me - Pasadena, California

Ended up here on a Saturday afternoon... There was an employee standing near the door and he opened the door for us to walk in with a smile. There was no wait to place our order at the counter - and the guy was very friendly. Food came out within 15 minutes of placing the order. I absolutely LOVE the garlic bread sticks. They might be the best bread sticks anywhere! try the tri-tip .. between the tri-tip and the bread sticks, I love going back to this place! read more

Came here with my sister, her husband and their 2 kids since we were in the mood for Lucille's but nowhere near one. This place is great for groups and families! It's economical, has a balance of self-serve and service and the food is decent to boot! You order at the register when you get inside and then they get you a table, stick your number (and name) on a holder and get you any high chairs, etc. You get your own plates, drinks, utensils from a main serving area inside. The outdoors was nice and cool but it did attract medley of little insect friends that wanted to say hi. The food: pizza, salads, steaks, lots of bbq ribs and tri tip and its like kind. The portions aren't ginormous but it was more than plenty to share. I loved the family meals which run under $50 but came with a variety of meats, salads, delicious garlic breadsticks and sides. Fast, casual dining for good price and value. Plus, the food was really good! The cesar salad was flavourful and fresh, I couldn't stop eating breadsticks and the ribs were tender and drenched in yummy sauce. My BIL proclaimed the tri tip as "even better than lucille's." You're just gonna have to try this place to see if it's true. read more

Yum Yum!! The tri-tip and breadsticks are sooooo good!! I love the tri-tip salad as well. I've been there a few times and this place never disappoints. =D read more

Overall a great place with great food to boot. The Greek salad is always great, the pizza's not bad, and the tri trip and chicken breasts are so good! And the breadsicks and quinoa are bomb. The only gripes I have with Stonefire is that they don't have slings for baby carriers, so if you're a new parent with a little one in a carrier, you'll have to put him on the ground. Not ideal for new parents, and most restaurants have baby carrier slings so I don't know why Stonefire wouldn't. Also, the urinal in the men's bathroom is pretty low, so if you're peeing with sandals on in the urinal cause you don't wanna go into a dirty men's toilet, get ready to get piss on your feet as it splashes back. But other than these two issues the food is pretty darn great. The coffee was pretty good too. read more

Parking: Plenty of free strip mall parking. Interior: Modern and clean. Good place for large groups. Nice outdoor patio with plenty of tables. Service: Very friendly and attentive. But its a "self serve" concept. You order and pay up front and grab a tracker and table. The food is brought to your table. You grab your plates forks ect... the soda machine offers unlimited refills. Food: BBQ Tri tip medium rare: Was cooked properly but was a bit on the cold side. The taste was Good and the BBQ sauce was a hit. Lemon Pepper chicken: Very moist and tender but lacking in the flavor department. BBQ Ribs: Not fall off the bone but good. The seasoning was good and the BBQ sauce gave them a nice kick. Cartwheel salad: Not my cup of tea. It had to much going on and the cilantro vinaigrette over powered it. Mac & Cheese: Lacking in flavor needed to be more creamy. Cob salad: Very good. Garlic bread sticks: Garlic butter and cheese goodness. Cheese cake: Sinfully good. Carrot cake: Out of this world good. We had a great time and will be returning. read more

I've only been to Stonefire in Irvine before so when I found out there was one in Pasadena, I was shocked. After going there for the first time, I guess I can see why I've never seen it before. It's a little hidden and away from the busy streets but if you're driving up north on Rosemead, once you pass Colorado, it'll be on your left-hand side and hard to miss. I've gotten a chance to try a lot of items on their menu (once again, mostly at the Irvine location). Last night, my girlfriend and I shared a huge family meal consisting of 1/2 tri tip and full slab of ribs. It came with a medium salad and 12 breadsticks. Waaaay too much food that we ended up taking most of it home. Their tri tip and ribs are probably my favorite things to order there. The chicken is good as well with the BBQ or lemon garlic sauce, but I like my red meats more! Salads, pasta and pizza are all delicious as well. This is definitely a place to come with your family or a group of friends. I especially like this location because it's huge with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and their staff was very nice and accommodating. The person taking our order was so patient. We couldn't decide what/how to order since we wanted both ribs and tri tip. He helped us compare what would be a better deal for everything we wanted to order. I'll definitely be back here! read more

I live across the street. I keep going back hoping it will get better. It never does... This restaurant is priced way higher than the quality of their food deserves. read more

I've been here three times... Pretty good asian salad, decent tortilla soup, but the chicken & steak wasn't all there.. & they've messed up on my order before. Pretty expensive for what you're getting, and the service is pretty basic. Don't plan on coming back unless it's on someone else ;) read more

Really loved everything about this place. We decided to try this place out because it was close and the reviews seemed promising. Stonefire did not disappoint. We ordered the rack of ribs, tri-tip, and roasted lemon chicken. This also came with a huge bowl of salad and a handful of bread sticks (which were amazingly favorful and buttery). As for the meat, I am in love with the ribs. The meat was just fall off the bone delicious. The tri-tip was very tender and cooked to perfection. Although, everything was perfect, I had a problem with the chicken. It was a bit dry for my family and I, but it did not pose a major problem for us. Overall, my family was very satisfied for coming here, and it won't be our last. read more

Robins was closed so we came here. Breadsticks are off the hook! I would take the drive just for the beadsticks! Chicken tortilla soup was good. The works pizza looks beautiful so does the tri tip and ribs! The mashed potatoes had a wonderful cheesy crust. Omg the food was wonderful. The tri tip was soft and buttery we had the pepper garlic with gorgonzola butter it was so yummy! The service is great! Everyone is so nice and friendly. Can't wait to bring our family next time. The menu is perfect for sharing! One of our new favorites places! The pizza was perfect! The crust was beautiful. So happy we came for lunch :D oh and for dessert the carrot cake is one of the best I've ever had! And I Love carrot cake!!! read more

Can never go wrong with Stonefire! This place is right next to my office so I come with coworkers to pick up quick lunch to go. My go-to is the petite tri-tip and chicken with Caesar salad. On days where we have a group, we order the stimulus package and feast! Stonefire is also great for dinner and my guy loves it so win win for all. read more

6:41 pm - on my way here from the Westside and Google maps says it's all red. Yep, I travel far and wide when it comes to bdays for the homies. 7:52 pm - just got here. Made good time, all things considered. 10 to the 110 is the way to go. Plenty of parking here esp. if you go more towards the back behind Trader Joe's. 7:53 pm - ordering is counter style a la Sizzler. Mmm. Sizzler. Don't hate. Menu isn't on a big board behind the counter though. More like a "you are here" sign at the mall. Got the 1/4 chicken (lemon) and BBQ rib combo with grilled corn on the cob. Not a lot to offer in terms of sides. They have pizza though. BBQ and pizza? Who knew? Everything is self serve - drinks, plates, forks, etc. Btw they have Pepsi, not Coke. 8:00 pm - plenty of outdoor seating but it's freaking hot right now. Our big party is too big for inside though. We've got aMb here today Virginia's 31st bday. Lots of people turning 31 lately. Service is kinda weird. Sarcastic and off-putting. Are they supposed to be like that? Sense of humor is low in this bunch... maybe caught them on a bad night. 8:03 pm - so they bring you the food with numbers on the napkin holder type deal. You can order family style or solo. We are half family style, half-solo here. My Caesar salad side is typical. Breadsticks aren't bad. 8:15 pm - ok food's here, that was quick. BBQ = dirty fingers so I might have to add more to this review when I get home. Grilled white corn is good. But $2 for it is kinda steep. 8:21 pm - ribs aren't exactly falling off the bone, but their "signature" BBQ sauce is pretty good and it's all I taste. Lots of garlic on this lemon garlic chicken. Cilantro too. That's all I need. I know this will be good. 8:25 pm - I think people are starting to smell the garlic in me already. 8:41 pm - too much food, but not enough to take home and too much of a waste to leave. Down the hatch. I feel sick now. Carrot cake sounds good right now tho. All 20 of us look pretty content. Haven't seen any servers lately but I guess that happens when it's self service. How do you tip that??? 8:45 pm - that was a pretty quick meal. My trip here took longer! Overall not too bad. Decent food and good company. Will definitely come back at some point. read more

I came with three other people and we were all disappointed. We ordered a couple of chicken pesto sandwiches, a steak sandwich, and a turkey sandwich. They were all bland and flavorless. Then ambience is nice and the service was quick but the food has no redeeming value whatsoever. It doesn't taste bad it just not taste good. Not coming here again. read more

We love coming to Stone Fire! Favorite salad is Stonefire's chopped salad with chicken. The salmon meal is always good. Our son loves the chicken strips. Oh and the breadsticks are so yummy! Don't forget to try the nutty coleslaw (if you're not allergic to nuts). read more

I haven't been to their store but we ordered catering from them for our son's 1 year birthday party. The food was a hit with adults and kids. We ordered the chicken caesar salad, lemon chicken, BBQ tri tips, breadsticks, pesto pasta, and the baked rigatoni pasta. Meat was tender, the pesto pasta was especially good, and caesar dressing was nice and creamy. Placing the catering order was really easy and the delivery guy was super nice and helped set up everything with our own chaffing trays. Would definitely be open to check out the place in person when in the area. read more

My boyfriend and I came here because a lot of people said it was so good! So awesome! So everything! Being our first time here and all this HYPE about this place We had to come! I ordered the chicken tortilla soup which was whatever nothing good about it! Seemed more like it had pieces of pork! I'm not into pork! I ordered a small pizza which did not have any seasoning on it but melted cheese. At least it was hot, I guess! He ordered steak and chicken with garlic oil as a season. That was too much! Huge pieces of garlic is the least thing I had on my mind! To be honest huge pieces of garlic in our food made it look not so tasteful! It was, kid you not! Showered with huge garlic pieces! We were mistaken! Overall, I still don't know what the Hype is about this place! Sorry! But Our first time was not a great one! read more

Went for lunch. Great setup with plenty of seating. Reminds me of Panera. I got the chicken wrap lunch special. The wrap wasn't the best. The bbq chicken itself was tasty but it had A LOT of lettuce and filling. The mash potatoes were really good. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals. Descent prices and good meats. read more

I had been to Stonefire Grill once and made plans to return after all these years. The line wasn't too bad of a wait; great time to go over the menu. Once at the register, I ordered, paid, and was given a buzzer to place on the table wherever I chose to sit. The weather was nice enough to sit outside. I ordered tri-tip (medium), quartered chicken, Greek salad, farro salad, breadsticks, and a drink. There is an island with plates, silverware, to-go containers, and napkins. I didn't really need the plates since the food is served on metal platters. Every single item was flavorful and prepared well. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the customer service was great. A lady came by several times to ensure all was well, and all was. I will definitely return for lunch and/or dinner. read more

The salmon and Tri-tip were pretty good. A little drier than I'd like, but it's decent for a chain like this.

I was hesitant to give a bad review since the food is so great, but it really hit a nerve when the hostess (or the person who takes the order) disappeared on us when we were up to order. She walked away after telling us she was going check if there were any tables inside (there were plenty. No one else was even dining inside) only to see her serving tables outside. It took someone else to notice that we were waiting for a while, to finally take our order. Not sure if that's up to code to touch money, then food. Can you please train your hostess to be a hostess? read more

My son placed an order last Tuesday around 2 pm and stated to pick up around 5:45 pm. We didn't get our order until 6:30 p.m.. When we got home and there was no breadsticks. If you love salads, this is the place to go. I couldnt decide what to choose so I settled on the South of the Border with chicken and my friend got the grilled vegetables salad with kale instead of regular lettuce. The petitie and small salads are huge and we were overwhelmed when they were brought to our table. My south of the border salad was extremely good. My friends salad was not good at all but if you are on a serious diet, this will probably work. The kale is hard to chew and consume (especially since there was not enough dressing) and the grilled vegetables were not existant. The waiter immediately offered to replace the grilled vegetables when we approached him about the taste. I really like the concept of this place and will be back to try the chopped bbq. read more

We came here prior to going to a Travel Show out in LA. The food was just ok, nothing special. Interesting concept.
