Great place for groups!! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good foodd. Tri tip and ribs are my favorite here! The salad and breadsticks that come with the meal (a la carte i believe) are also delish! Not a big fan of their lemon garlic rub since I really don't taste the flavor for either...but the bbq is on point! Dipping it with extra bbq sauce on the side...you will be in bbq heaven. The chicken is a little dry in my opinion...but heard great things about the bbq chicken pizza so definitely will give that a try sometime soon. This is an awesome restaurant I came over to get some gift cards for my family for Christmas the restaurant was not open it was 10 in the morning and they're opening hours are 11 I asked one of the employees standing outside heading in to work to see if I could speak with the manager she went ask and mr. Did takeout for a graduation family event and was hugely disappointed. Arrived on time to pick up the order only to wait 10 minutes for breadsticks while the meat was ready. Needless to say when I got home all the meat was lukewarm. Too make matters worse, the tri-tip was extremely gristly and was like eating rubber. I went here after a long day of Disneyland hoping we could just sit, eat, and be served drinks. But as we walked in, it was an order at the counter, put your number on the table, refill your own drinks type of place. That wasn't a deal breaker, just not expected. This place is definitely a keeper. From what I remember about previous trips to other locations, there really isn't anything to complain about. Currently, they're running specials that can score you either a full tri tip dinner w/ pizza, salad and breasticks, or full rack of ribs for like $20. Dinner for two for 20$ here? Awkward place. You order up front then they bring you your food. So if you wanted to order anything else you'd have to go back to the front... Boyfriend and I came and had their stimulus package. All I have to say is that you must get the stimulus package if you want your money's worth. For about $20, you get a small pizza, tri-tip, salad, and breadsticks. All of this is enough to serve about 4 people. Definitely worth your money! For $25 you get: Garlic Breadsticks (8-10 pieces)- a guilty pleasure really, they are as good as breadsticks come...but beware of the grease! Salad- 1 large bowl of your choice...I always go for the ceasar Tri-tip - 1 plate of great, meaty flavor. I have to give this place a 5 star now....I was just here last night and now I'm addicted to their caesar salad! The dressing is amazing! I didn't get the Caesar the first time I was here. PLUS, after my previous review, the manager of Stonefire replied to my post and explained the chicken cooking process. They slow cooked the meats first so the cooking process makes the chicken bone pink/almost bloody. BUT he assured me that they check to make sure all meats are cooked properly and done at the right temperature several times through the cooking process. Went here with my brother and his wife and we mistakenly ordered way too much food! We ordered the 1/2 chicken and full rack of ribs family plate which came with a medium salad and 12 breadsticks and we also ordered a petite macaroni and cheese. The breaksticks are great. I could nom on those all day long. The chicken was so tender and juicy and the bbq sauce was fabulous. The rib meat fell right off the bone and I kept pulling bones off the rack and getting no meat. They were tastey and tender. I don't eat salad, but it looked like it was only lettuce and crutons with a light sprinkle of caesar dressing. Now let me explain the petite mac and cheese. First off, when you say petite and say it serves 1 person, I'm hoping you mean 1 starving person and that's all they're going to eat. That had to be the largest mac n cheese I've ever seen! I don't even want to know what the medium looks like! Jesus! With that said, it was very tastey and I'm a fan. However, if I ever order that again that's all I'm eating. Stonfire Grill is great! It is a perfect restaurant for groups that are eating together but not necessarily paying together or ordering to go food. I like it best for lunch with coworkers or a quick dinner to take home and share. One of my favorite items is the BBQ Chopped salad. It is delish and the small salad is at least two full meals. They have great fresh cooked food with a lot of choices at a good price. Today I finally convinced my office to try a new order in place for lunch. I had a menu on hand and found another online for all of my office mates to figure out what they wanted. I wasn't sure if everyone was going to like it, but there is a huge selection and great prices. For take-out they have a very easy to use special take-out counter so you don't have to wait in the dinning-in area. I would recommend trying it out! read more

I've come here so often and never have been disappointed once! It's just really good, wholesome, all-American food! The staff are also very friendly and fast. My favorite pizza is the Stonefire's Favorite but I think all the pizzas are really well made. The same for the salads! The salads are really fresh and there are so many! I've had a good amount from their menu and can't wait to try more. My favorites are the Cartwheel and Asian Chicken salads. I've also had the tri-tip and it's always very delectable! One of my favorite things is their Carrot Cake!! I like how you can see the carrots, but the frosting is a little too sweet but not overpowering. I always look forward coming here! read more

At first glance, I thought this place was some fancy steak/grill restaurant. I was wrong..this place is affordable! After checking out its website, my mouth started to salivate from the pictures. So of course I got in my car and headed over for some dinner. Glad I did because I do not regret it at all! Items I've tried: - Mesquite BBQ Tri-tip - DELICIOUS *drool* the meat was cooked to perfection. Slightly pink in the center, tender and moist. Can be sliced through with one single knife swipe. The BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet, giving it just the right amount of flavor. - Garlic Pepper Tri-tip - Average. Meat was cooked fine but missing the flavor spark. Couldn't really taste the garlic or the pepper. - Lemon Chicken - Average. Chicken was a little on the drier side and not enough flavor. - Garlic Mashed Potatoes - A little above average. Loads of garlic flavor and doesn't taste all gritty like the ones you make from the box. - Breadsticks - Average. Flavor-wise, it was good. But not enough outer crunch and inner softness that I would have expected and liked. Overall, I will definitely be back soon. The BBQ tri-tip is to die for if you don't want to break the bank. Price is decent and the meat packs a punch of flavor. The staff was nice and friendly. Food came out at a reasonable time. Was starving and wanted to try things other than the stimulus package. this is what i ordered: 1/2 chicken al la carte: decent portion but it wasn't pretty hot or warm ish, probably closing time? Pasta: meat sauce kind: warm ish but pasta wasn't the best and meat was okay. i was shocked because i had better exp here before. This is a good place for a quick work lunch. They bring the food out-POW!-fast so coming hungry is no issue. Nice menu selection to pick off. You order at the register and the staff brings your order to your table (they use a numbering system). It gets uber busy around lunch (no recession in the OC man!), but you can always get in and get to eating. read more

I always have a great experience here. Staff is super friendly, service is very quick. They even off you a water cup if you're just waiting for to go orders. :) It's a small touch, but it goes a long way. The food is abundant and delicious. Always come when visiting a particular friend in Irvine. Great place for salad, pizza, and even meat. It's kind of "family style" - get a pizza and salad to share, for example. I love that the sizes are very customizable. It's pretty casual - you order at the front and they bring the food to your table. I like that you can grab a box and pack up your own leftovers (of which there should be plenty). Also, I've done take-out and the salad was very well packed, everything ready pretty quickly. I actually really like their pizzas here, really saucy and super stringy cheese and a nice fluffy but crisp crust. Its the way I like my pizzas to be, but I know everybody has their own preferences with pizza. Their BBQ to me is mediocre, its not gross or bad, and in fact I'd be stoked if someone took me here. During a recent get together with friends we served the restaurant's Crowd Pleasers meal (enough for 6 or more) and it was a big hit. The filling meal consisted of of a whole chicken (mesquite BBQ) , tri tip, salad, bread sticks, and coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Everyone said the food was tasty and I was happy because the portions were generous and the price was right (plus I didn't have to cook-yay!). The staff was very good about explaining how long to leave it in the over before the guests arrived and about how to put everything together. Came here with a pretty large group so we grouped ourselves in 4s and got the stimulus package, which is a pretty good deal! You get a small pizza, salad, breadsticks and choice of meat, which I obviously did not indulge in although the others did love it! We ordered the tomato basil pizza because you're only allowed two toppings with this deal and the cartwheel salad which had beets garbanzo beans tortilla crisps olives red onion and a light dressing. The pizza was pretty good although I would have liked extra toppings. Breadsticks were my favorite! They were slightly crispy on the outside but soft inside, and brushed with Parmesan on top with some herbs. Also for dessert as a group we shared the carrot cake. It was one of the best I've had! It was super moist and not too sweet. The cream cheese frosting was done right as well! I think this place overall is great for groups! Bright & Clean I don't like giving reviews unless I have had the experience to visit eating establishments more than once. Stonefire Grill was a good meal overall. The environment is very much a " Chain Restaurant" type which I'm not to fond of. The tri tip was good.. I've had way better though but for the price it was good. The lemon garlic half chicken is really good and the price is worth it when you order it ala cart. They cook the chicken perfectly and the meat just comes right off the bone. The Salads are OK to pretty good and the best way to do it is order the bigger salads so you can split with family.. There are a few other menu items I still need to try however the half and whole chicken with the lemon garlic are really good. I like this place becuase there are a few ways I can order and stay on my no carb diet. This is great restaurant for the Irvine area and keeps it easy for the most part. They might not come to check on you after you get you food but overall it's a good place read more

I've been there before and had a much better experience than what I had tonight. Salmon was with swimming in a citrus sauce too acidic and with too much salt. We also ordered tri-tip that was supposed to be medium rare. Instead it was well done and was soft like has been cooked too long. The mashed potatoes were respectable, the salad average, and the tortilla soup didn't resemble anything like tortilla soup but more like a squash soup. I seriously doubt we'll be back. read more

We came here for lunch with 3 of my coworkers . I ordered the tri tip with chicken my coworker ordered he new sea bass with quinoa. Chicken was good but the tri tip was rather chewy and lacked any flavor. My coworkers Sea bass had bones in it and was rather flavorless. Quinoa was cold which was a little odd. Needless to say my coworker did not care for the dish and left most of it behind . A woman came to pick up our dishes and asked how everything was. We told her my coworker hated the dish and she noticed that most of the food was untouched. All she said was "sorry about that" and proceeded to clean the table. I had Tri tip and I have also had their chicken. The group was very happy with their food. Seating is limited for large groups unless you get there early to put tables together. Tri tip was pretty good, ribs were awful...the opposite of fall-off-the-bone. Beans were undercooked, almost firm on the middle...like it needed another 3 hours of cook time. I just had my foos delivered througb Postmates not too long ago. Breakdown: first of all where are the utensils... And no napkin? I personally do Postmates and I noticed that when j check the orders it was missing those items the couple of deliveries i had made. Baked Beans: the worst ive had...it dles nkt remotely taste of baked beans,... It tastes like chili Tri-Tip: the meat was cold not even very luke warm.. Difficult to eat due to it beinf super super chewy not very tender and easy to eat Breadsticks: not bad Salad the same Mashed : eh so so well not great either chunks kf potatoes that werenr cooked fully enough to smash it down more I live super close at the San Remo apartments there should be no reason why my food was so cold/lukewarm Really disappointed with the food overall..
