If you haven't been here before, you wouldn't know that this is a sit yourself and grab your own plate(s) utensils, napkins, and to go box kinda of restaurant. You order first, grab your utensils, find a table, then you sit and wait until your order arrives. My visit was on a Friday evening. Service was attentive. The food was warm. Could of been warmer. Food got cold within minutes. Beef ribs were great . Macaroni & Cheese was good and the pasta was okay. Overall, great dine in experience. Only complaint, was the temperature of our food. Been here several times. But this is the only time I am doing my review. Came for a friend's birthday dinner. I ordered Roasted Cauliflower for our appetizer,Rigatoni Bolognese Meat sauce. It was really good. My husband ordered Barbecue chicken and Tri tip combo,chicken is really good,so tender and flavorful and so is the tri tip. Really enjoyed it. And for dessert we had the Carrot cake,I think it was the best carrot cake I've ever had! It's highly recommended! read more

In this day and age customer service is history. But Stone Fire in Chathsworth location is the best. We ordered to go and when we picked it up there was a slight error and they graciously made sure we got a new order right away. But it was the way it was handled that will keep us coming back. Order and pay at the counter upon entering, then they bring the food to your table. Very good service, from taking the order to delivering the food very quickly to cleaning up empty plates - all perfect. I shared a 12" pizza (6 slices), half BBQ Chicken, half Roasted Veggie (no cheese - well, a tiny bit of a cheese, but that's a longer story). Cooked very well; not easy to do without cheese (based on past experiences elsewhere) . It wasn't soggy, but it also wasn't burned. I also liked the fact that the BBQ sauce was not sickly sweet as so many are. It was a bit sweet, and a bit spicy; just how I like it. Lots of white meat chicken; delicious. The roasted veggie half was equally delicious, and a nice balance to an all meat pizza. They didn't skimp on toppings, either - the pic shows how loaded the pizza was. A very good first experience. Tough to rate because they have a HUGE selection of vastly different foods, and pizza is just one out of so many. I do wish they offered more crust options than just regular white wheat, but that's about the only improvement I can think of. A 4.5* experience for me, rounded down. read more

This place has been part of the conversation when it comes to barbecue and delicious food. My family and I always crave it and will always want to come back. Due to Covid, dining in is not an option right now. So for my daughter's birthday we decided to order a plethera of different items. We called in the order by phone two days in advance and was really excited. When we got there for pick up, it was a circus show. Everyone was running around crazy. This was understandable because who doesn't want delicious food. My main concern was the lack of double checking. The lady who helped us checked our order, grabbed our food and thanked us. I was half way to my car when I realized she did not charge me. So I went back inside, just waiting for someone to help me. Stood there for at least 20 minutes when finally a manager spotted me and I asked to pay. I couldn't help but wonder how many free dinners they gave out that night. The food was still delicious, some dry. I will overlook it and hopefully it won't be the same next time we come. My son's birthday is coming up and we're looking to order again. I am very surprised that this place gave us such horrible service!!! My very first time here and my entire family was disappointed not necessarily with the food. But the cashier/manager (the name on the receipt is Michelle M.) this lady with red hair gave us the worse attitude. Sadly the place was empty and we cannot say it was because they were busy, I do consider places that are super busy and the staff gets irritated or frustrated, but this place was dead (I shouldn't say that, we were coming from a funeral). But we were the only ones there and that's when you stop and think, if I'm rude back to this lady, she may spit on our food, so we kept our cool the entire time and I was so upset!! Tri Tip quality was disappointing. I understand during COVID-19 restaurants have suffered and they are doing their best. However the quality must be contained. We have always ordered from Stonefire and I always had confidence in their quality of their food. Except this time. I did not expect that a big organization will sacrifice the quality because of COVID. My bad! The TriTip was very tough and full of fat and goo. Unlike their traditional TriTip. And we paid $30 for it. I understand that a Mom and Pop operation may compromise the food but Stonefire? The other issue is once the COVID eases and we are getting back to normal, I will be vey hesitant to order from them. Don't get these tacos. Apparently this is the norm and they looked at me crazy when I asked what happened to the rest of the meat. She said oh its in there it just moved around, I shook the plate to show her... she she said "ummm yeah there's meat in there" the other kid said " yeah do you want like more meat in there". Ordered dinner for my granddaughters birthday. Pick up was easy and food was delicious.

Holiday team lunch was held here. Works for a large group get together with the spacious patio area. However service was sorely lacking, not sure if it was understaffed or the inside tables were too busy. Oh my... be warned of the uneven tippy metal racks used for the pizza serving platter. We literally watched right before our eyes, as a whole pizza slides off and smack onto the ground - taking along a whole basket of breadsticks. Even with the loud smash and clattering noise, nobody came to our table. We had to flag down a server to come clean up the mess on the floor. And again go find someone inside to ASK to replace the food. At least they replaced the pizza but still not the breadsticks that never showed up. Oh well. Lots of parking since it's in a shopping strip corner. Overall decent place but nothing to write home about. read more

Updating my review: I came in here after the movies with my family and my bf to grab a bite to eat. I know it's a holiday and all, and the place was busy but the staff never acknowledged us when we walked in, the cashier looked like she didn't want to be there. None of the staff was friendly, I asked for a table to get wiped down outside since every table in here was full of dirty dishes. I asked a lady if she could clean one of the tables outside in the back, she rolled her eyes at me when she had to go outside and clean it. I'm sorry, didn't know I wasn't allowed to ask to get a table cleaned when I couldn't find one that was clean in the first place. Now, onto the food: I got a sandwich, which came out super quick. My sandwich was made better this time, not a whole head of lettuce like last time. It tasted really good, and I was only about half way through it when I found a hair in my sand which. (Yes.. a hair.. right there in the pesto). I didn't even bother eating the other half, since I lost my appetite right away. Another thing, my dads meal never came out. They forgot about it, we asked the waitress if she could check on it and she never came back to let us know what was going on. Finally once everyone else was done with their food, my dad finally got his meal. Needles to say, he was already agitated so he picked through the meal he should have got with the rest of us. Decided to have a steak dinner delivered to my hotel room. Ordered the trip tip and 1/4 chicken with salad and mashed potatoes. Trip tip was a little over cooked but still good. The chicken had a nice flavor as well. Side salad was nothing too fancy, but then again, it's just a side salad. The mashed potatoes seemed a little dry (remember it was delivery) so maybe they are better in house. Terrible experience. Put in a phone order for curbside pickup at 12:30pm. Arrived at 12:33 and went to the pick up area to put my name down with the employee with the checklist. By 12:54, I'm still waiting in my car and I see the car next to me - who arrived after - get their order. I stand outside my car on my driver side and ask the employee, who is on the opposite side of my car, who handed them their food about the order of distributing food. He said: "They put in a curbside order". I said "So did I". He then said "Well I didn't pick up the phone for you!" in an extremely sarcastic fashion. No doubt about his tone. I asked: "Why are you giving me attitude?" He said "Because you're yelling at me". I said "I'm actually not, I am speaking louder because I have a mask on". Not to mention he was about 10 to 12 feet away from me. He then proceeded to just walk away and ignore me as I was asking for actual help in getting my food. Anyhow, I go back in to my car hoping he doesn't spit in my food. It's now 1:06pm and I still haven't gotten my food. Yet I see people going to the pick up door and getting theirs right away. So I go to the pick up door myself and apparently my food had been sitting there the entire time and they hand it to me. I get it and my pizza is ice cold but I didn't want to waste any more time and just left. Unfortunately Horrible customer experience. Cold food. We always go to the Chatsworth location for lunch at once a week. The service is good and prompt. The food is consistent from visit to visit. There's a gentleman by the name of Sal who works there and who always makes sure our order is right and if there's something wrong, he fixes it. I always recommend the Tri-Tip meals with the Caesar salad which is a favorite. Overall, a visit to the Stonefire location in Chatsworth is a good experience. read more

My friend has two boys who love coming here, and since I've never been she said I had to have the experience and I would not regret it. First and foremost, this restuarant is all about affordable prices for family size meals. A large tomesto pasta was $15, and that is several meals worth of food, or can by itself feed 2+ people. And it was absolutely delicious! Half pesto + half tomato pasta, it tasted amazing when we mixed it. The mac and cheese was also incredible and affordable at only $15 for a large. It was cooked with a combination of cheeses that turns into a taste better than the mac I grew upon- so not your traditional mac & cheese. We also ordered the tri-tip meal for my friend's sons, which came with salad and a side of mashed potatoes and bread sticks. We were 4 people and our total came out to $65, and we had like 3 boxes of leftovers! It was just so much quality food for a more than reasonable price. The place was clean inside the food was good but the service was horrible for the fact that we pre- ordered food a couple days ago for a pick up time at 11 because we were having a get together at our house for 12 and we live about 30 minutes away . We went to pick up our order and they said it was not ready they are running a few minute's late . Ok not a problem right now... well wrong they did not get us our food until 20 minutes later and then they did not have everything in the order so my husband asked for what we were missing and it took them another 10 minutes to get that and that item was just a dressing . This used to be a good restaurant but has fallen in recent times. We went to Stonefire Grill today. The Sign said dine in or takeout so we decided to dine in. You would expect someone to wait on you at your table, but not here. We had to order at the register and the order taker, Sal was not very helpful at all. Sal didn't seem to care if we ordered or walked out. He was not very helpful explaining any of the items in the menu but all that aside we ordered. When we got our food, the food runner asked if we needed anything else, "yes pepper." There was no pepper in the table or in any other tables because I had gotten up earlier and looked. Nobody ever came back with the pepper. I have high blood pressure and edema and salt is the last thing I need and the food was in desperate need of something because it was flavorless and bland. I did not see one table with pepper on it so I got up and asked Sal for some. I told him there was no pepper in the table or on any others as far as I could see. Then I asked him had the price of pepper gone up that it was no longer affordable? Sal went to the one table that had pepper. Since the food runner never returned , I had to get up and go ask Sal for a doggie bag. He pointed to a closed cabinet and said go get one from there - really? a bit unprofessional. The restaurant was not kept very well and nobody who appeared to be an employee seemed to care much about their job, if they did they would have cleared the dishes off of the table that we walked past when we first arrived but didn't. Nor did anybody pick up the used napkin on the floor regardless how many times they walked by it. I wouldn't even use the bathroom in this establishment because if this is how they keep the dining part of the restaurant I was certain squalor awaits. Now let me make one more complaint - I ordered a shareable BBQ chopped salad with chicken and tri tip. The salad was $15.49 with the chicken but an additional $22.28 was charged for the tri tip - a little outrageous because obviously I was charged for a second salad but want given the extra lettuce and etc. This place is the kind of place I'd worry about some food related illness from employees not washing their hands. Went to stone fire grill yesterday and we ordered a shareable size bbq chicken salad. The bowl it came in was so tiny. It was the size of a standard (small) mixing bowl. We asked the waiters is this the shareable size? The waiter replied and said yes. My fiancé and I reluctantly ate the food. It was full of fat and we couldn't bite through the meat. The entire piece of meat came along when we would make a bite into the sandwich and we had to pull it from our mouths. Having eaten at this Stonefire and the one on Fallbrook many times, this meal changes my opinion totally. In the past I've not been bowled over with delight but never a disappointed like this. Takeout order included the "Baked" Rigatoni. The menu picture looks meaty and saucy and baked. What I got was in a plastic takeout container (as expected) but looked and tasted like microwaved leftovers. I know what microwaved leftovers look and taste like. First DINE IN dinner we had in awhile and it was a huge disappointment. We went there last night 2/03/2021 for dinner. Before coming, I called and was told that it was actually their first day opening with dine in. We got there around 6pm. There wasn't a wait as it wasn't that packed. I kept on asking what he was saying and he didn't seem that friendly. The outdoor dining was spacious and not crowded because not many people dined in. We sat next to the exist. During our whole dinner, I noticed two different employees checking up on all the tables twice but just ignored our table. That's so rude! We ordered the tri tip (half garlic butter and half bbq), pizza with mushroom and basil, pesto pasta, Caesar salad, and breadsticks. I don't know what happened but the food all tasted bland. The pesto pasta just tasted like boiled penne, not worth how much I paid for it. The salad almost had no taste and the portion was smaller than it used to be. The tri tip had a lot of fat. I was very excited about the bbq sauce but it was too salty. The pizza and breadsticks was good.
