If you're looking for an alternative to the normal grilling method of KBBQ, check this spot out. The meats can be cooked on a scorching stone! I got the Chef's Table so try the variety of meats but substituted out the Tri-Tips for Shrimp. The Galbi's and the Strip were fantastic and fresh. Even if you don't want KBBQ, their Korean dishes are fantastic. I recommend the Spicy Tofu soup and the Seafood Pa-Jeon which is similar to a fried savory pancake, so good! I know they advertise their Mandu's (dumplings) as a must try, but you can skip it. Not really that good. I've had better options from a grocery store. Aside from that, we will be back to try the other Korean dishes.

This was a very cool place. The staff was extremely friendly. The decor was really nice inside. The food was a different experience of Korean barbecue than I've had before-cooking on a stone instead of a grill. I didn't take any pictures of the rice bowls, but they had a different selection and the kimchi one was really good if you want a different expense for Korean barbecue check this place out.

This place is a real gem! Everything we had was amazing! The soups, the meats (we had pot belly and beef) the salad with sesame dressing was my absolute favorite and the kimchi was so good!! Service was great very attentive and the ambiance was awesome and so cozy. Cannot wait to go again

WOW!! We wanted to find a quality korean bbq place and this definitely met our expectations. It is a pretty expensive experience; however, I do think it is worth it for every once in a while!! The server was great and helped us with our choices for what to order. For appetizers, we got the gochujang fried shrimp, which was DELICIOUS. The shrimps were crunchy and HUGE. The sauce was a little spicy and sweet and perfect with the shrimp. I'd definitely get this dish again! The sotteok was equally as yummy but not as unique so I would only get it if I was craving it. The seafood pancake was super crispy and full of seafood! I always get seafood pancake with korwan bbq, and I'd get this one again. Now onto the star of the show, the meats! Since this was our first time, we got the chef's table which came with 4 preselected meats and 2 sides. We got the corn cheese and kimchi, which were both decent. Out of the 4 meats, our favorite was the unmarinated kalbi, which was probably the best kbbq kalbi I've ever had. It was soooo tender and delicious with all of the sauces included! We got 2 more half servings of it just because it was sooooo good. I'll be dreaming of this meat :-) The pork belly was also super goood as well and a nice contrast from the beef. All in all, I'd just get the unmarinated kalbo and pork belly next time if I were to go back, which I definitely will. Cooking on the stone is a fun experience but it does cool down quite quickly. We only changed it once during our meal but probably could have changed it once more since at the end our meat was cooking slowly and thus wasn't as hot and charred. Overall a cool experience and can't wait to go back!

Came in for a quick lunch with a friend. It was pretty quiet during early afternoon. Really great lunch options with affordable pricing. Service was great, swapping out our hot stone when needed. Always a pleasure dining here

Absolutely Amazing! A Hidden Gem of Authentic Korean BBQ! We just visited StoneAge Korean BBQ restaurant, and I had to leave a review because this place deserves all the love and more! As Koreans, we have high expectations when it comes to Korean food--and this place blew us away. First of all, the meat quality is outstanding. You can taste the difference--premium cuts, beautifully marbled, and the yangnyeom (marinade) was spot-on. Full of flavor without overpowering the natural taste of the meat. Every bite was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Even the side dishes (banchan) were done just right--marinated and balanced with that authentic Korean home-cooked flavor. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and nothing tasted like it was rushed or pre-prepared. It honestly felt like a meal made with heart. What really made this experience special, though, was the service. The couple running this place are so hardworking, kind, and welcoming. You can tell they really care--not just about the food, but about every customer who walks in. If you're looking for real Korean BBQ with top-tier ingredients, amazing service, and authentic flavors, you NEED to try Stone Age. We'll absolutely be coming back for sure and bringing friends!

Didn't like the egg but rice and meat were good.

I've been wanting to try a new type of Korean bbq, and liked the hot stone concept. Like the location, restaurant is nice inside and staff was friendly and helpful. We got the combo for 2 with garlic shrimp and pork belly. Seasame dressing salad , good. Bimbipap, average. Spicy edamame, awful. Kimichi, awful. Potato salad, no thanks. Chicken skewers, not good. Pork belly, delicious. Garlic shrimp, didn't taste garlicy at all, average Sauces on the side, good. We didn't get to try any of their soups or apps. Overall, if I came back again, I would only do the meat and stone, that part was good and maybe try one of their soups. But I will say, the prices for the meats a la carte are pricey. $45 for a plate of galbi is crazy, considering there are so many AYCE korean bbq restaurants for way less per person. If you go just for the experience, I'd suggest stick with meats a la carte and try the other options on your own.

    Combo meat meal for 2

First time eating at StoneAge as we were driving through Houston. The meat and sauces were amazing.. The sauces are what made the difference, Including the salad dressing. We did the stone grill shareable combo meal to get to try four different proteins. Christian did a great Job explaining everything to us and gave us a great recommendation on which salad dressing to get. We will be back!!

I took my GF here for her birthday and I couldn't be happier. They were very welcoming and even had a lil happy birthday sign and flowers decorating the table. This was our very first time trying Korean BBQ and from start to finish it was a great experience. Our waitress was nice, personable and also gave us a lil cooking lesson. I honestly felt like we were having like a 10 course meal. The food was great, ( cooked by yours truly ) and survived to eat another day. The meatballs were my absolute favorite, I never had anything like this before. I could honestly sit down and eat at least 37 of them. All in all it was a great experience, something about cooking over an 800 degree stone that just ties it all together.

Absolutely amazing food and service, came with my niece and daughter and my friend and the atmosphere is great and I would totally recommend and come back for more!

This place has a really nice concept but it felt like a nice place that I'd go once for the experience and picture then never go again. The food was good but I decided on the rating because I could get better food for the price. Service: 4 We went right when it open so it may be different during rush hour but it was nice how the staff was attentive and would check in on us. However, I did wish that they explained how to prepare the stone for the meat. Food: 3.5 When the sotteok came and was amazing I had high hopes for everything else. However, it was the highlight of the meal. While components of the meal were good. There were small things that made the meal feel incomplete which left me disappointed at the end. Sotteok: 5 This was my favorite! The rice cakes were cooked perfectly so they were crispy and soft! Plus the sauce blended perfectly with the sausage/rice cake combo! Seafood Pa Jeon: 2.5 I was really shocked when it came out because there were large parts that were burned. Especially because older Asians and especially Koreans don't eat things that are burned to that extent since they believe it could cause cancer. Unfortunately I didn't ask for it to be recooked since I thought it a new concept that was suppose to add something to the pancake so I ended up just eating the pancake and tasting the char which overwhelmed the actual pancake. $10 wasn't bad for a seafood Jeon but it was half the size of one from other Korean restaurants and it had less seafood Stone grill NY strip: 3 Basically just Unami flavors and pinches of saltiness. If you are a meat eater this is probably perfect for you! While the cut of meat itself was worth 5 stars. The issue was that there weren't component of a normal Korean BBQ which caused the meal to be one dimensional since there was no complexity. For example, I would normally put pickled radish or some type of side to help cut that Unami taste to make it more lighter and so it would balance out the lettuce. However, there were no traditional side dishes provided and the lettuce wrap kit was very basic compared to what you could do with the side dishes at other places. Also, they didn't explain how the meat should be cooked but luckily the meat didn't stick to the stone without the oil that was provided in the side. I appreciated that they gave us rice even if we didn't pick it as one of the two sides! Korean fried chicken fried rice: 3.5 The fried chicken itself was good but it was mediocre compared to other Korean fried chicken I had.

A very nice Korean restaurant in Katy. They are known for Korean BBQ but on hot stone. The service was really attentive, even the owner chef Choi came out and walked around and check on the customers. It's nice to have a fancy Korean BBQ restaurant in Katy. So people who lives in Katy or further west don't need to drive too far for good Korean food. But it's still worth the drive if you live in Houston for this place.

Must try. Had a reservation for 3 for 6 pm on a Friday night. The parking can be taxing if you come later bc there are so many restaurants in this plaza. We opted for the stone age set for 2-4 people for $79 which included: Wings (4) House salad Spicy edamame Potato salad Kimchi Rice (2) Lettuce kit (wrap the meat) Bibimbap C.A.B flat iron top blade Pork belly Also ordered the japchae (cause it's my fave) The stone comes out hot. The pork belly is partially cooked (it's a thick cut of meat) and you cook it through on the stone. It was really tender, juicy and delicious. The top blade was silky and good. Everything was really good. The japchae and bibimbap were well so very good. There is also toppings like garlic cloves, peppers and dipping sauces like sesame oil + blk pepper and ssamjang. The service was top knotch. Our waittress.(don't remember her name) but was knowledgeable about the food and gave us great drink suggestions. She was also pretty and gave us some kbeauty product recommendations. There was also a guy name Ryo that was so nice and attentive. Before we even left, we all agreed that we'd def come back again even if it's a drive for us. Worth it!.

What a great dining experience! This was my first time here. I was heading into heavy rush-hour…read moretraffic, so I decided to avoid it and stop to have a good meal before heading home. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

While we completely understand wanting to protect expensive furniture, the tone and delivery came across as rude and made our entire table feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. On the other hand, I want to recognize our waiter, who was excellent throughout the meal. Raymond was attentive, friendly, and did his best to make us feel comfortable again after the interaction with the manager. His professionalism and kindness were the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food also fell short of expectations. In particular, I would not recommend the mussels. The flavor was unpleasant and left a very bad aftertaste, making them one of the least enjoyable dishes we ordered. Good customer service isn't just about enforcing rules--it's about how those rules are communicated. Unfortunately, the manager's approach, combined with the disappointing food, overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

Tables are well spaced plenty of room eight crisp environment really just a very comfortable ambience. The services superlative from the moment you walk in in which you are immediately accommodated to the server who takes an order and then the servers who serve the food which is not necessarily one in the same. It's simply a very efficient service system and very pleasant if you're a customer. You get warm food. In my case I had hollandaise with Salman underlying it, which was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hollandaise not by any means obnoxious but a very deliberate Irving and a wonderful salad, which both underlines the egg and is served as a side with the eggs, which were perfectly poached. In so far as the buzz is concerned, there are wines and beer available and really quite an extensive menu in both. I enjoyed a beer with mine, which I know it sounds like an odd combination, but it worked quite well for me. Really this is a wonderful addition to Katy options for breakfast or brunch.

They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.

To address the 4 star, part of the knock on the star comes from little things throughout the night. First, we waited quite a bit to be served. To no fault of our waitress it looked like she had been pulled to handle other things. The hostess ended up taking our order for sandy and then she took it from there. Also, another waitress Jada stepped in as well to help and made sure we were good. This was very nice of them. Again, our waitress was not a problem, but logistically if she had tables you could see her physically having to handle other things so its not like she just went missing. The restaurant has a great vibe. There was a pianist playing and the lights were intimately low. The chef also came over and introduced himself which is pretty cool. On to the food: The oyster Rockefeller first course was delicious. Creamy, spinach, oyster with a bit of a zing from the sauce Next we had the heritage tasting plate and the oxtail tacos. The oxtail tacos had a bit too much lettuce for my liking but my fiancee enjoyed it. Savory, hers didnt have as much lettuce as mine, so if youre not a lettuce fan you could he rolling the dice here. The heritage tasting plate was good. Camel, kangaroo, and rabbit. I loved the kangaroo a ton. Who knew? The camel was very good too it had a ground turkey type if texture. The kangaroo tasted like stewed beef roast. Very good. Finally, the rabbit, as I've had this before, was good rabbit. Its like a chicken ish flavor to it. For the next course we had the lamb chops and suya ribeye. The lamb chops were flavorful and the green beans on both dishes were good and tender. The suya ribeye had good suya flavor. We barely touched the mashed potatoes and jollof because we were so full. The bite of jollof that I did have was traditional flavored jollof. Pretty good. We got the peri peri shrimp with the lamb chops and they were ok, but not anything to write home about. We were expecting that peri peri burst of flavor like the lamb chops had. To finish off the meal we both got the creme brulee. Id say this missed a bit. The brulee didnt have your traditional hard top of bruleed sugar. The sugary portion tasted a bit burnt. Not the traditional brulee burnt but a stronger burnt sugar flavor. All in all a great experience and we would go back and do this again.

Exceptional Dining Experience - Chance Provided World-Class Service!…read moreWe had a fantastic evening at Perry's Steakhouse! From the warm, inviting atmosphere to the incredible food, everything was top-tier--but what truly elevated our night was our server, Chance. From the moment we sat down, Chance was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. He timed every course perfectly, made spot-on recommendations from the menu and drink list, and made sure our water glasses and glasses were never empty without ever feeling intrusive. It's rare to find service that strikes such a seamless balance between highly professional and warm and personable, but Chance nailed it. Beautiful 20 year wedding anniversary.

Our server came over right away with water and asked if we wanted to order drinks. My dad got red wine. They provide bread and butter which was a nice snack. We ordered the pork chop bites for an app. They're tasty but very small. For mains we got the ribeye with grilled vegetables (not included w ribeye you buy them separately). Definitely enough for 2-3 people to share. We also got the filet Perry 6oz $59 which comes with crab and asparagus - was totally delicious cooked perfectly. We also got the chicken that also comes with crab on top and a creamy sauce. Everything was so delicious! We will definitely be back!

The hostess and server were both great, service was quick and the meal portions were both big as well as satisfying. The goat cheese fondue was overwhelmingly salty with the Kalamata olives. They completely overpowered the goat cheese, garlic bread, everything The worst part was the burgers. Not one of the burgers came out at the right temperature. If you're going to ask us how we would like our burgers cooked the kitchen needs to make sure they cook the burgers properly. Anyway, I didn't even take two bites of my burger. My guests ate about half of each of theirs. The fries were kind of limp but tasty would be nice for them to be a little crispy. They have the ability to be great, but I would say epic fail on the food, but great job on Service and ambience
