A lot of bad reviews here and I was concerned when I saw Home Depot used them, but my experience was very good with them. They were professional and did a great job. I think people are quick to leave bad reviews but less motivated to leave good ones. I'm very happy with the work they did and the price was a little lower than I was quoted at other providers. We purchased a White Antico granite countertop from Stone Systems and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall. Communication was generally responsive, but customer service could sometimes feel defensive instead of helpful. The installation itself was fast and efficient. The biggest issue was that nobody informed us beforehand that White Antico is a very porous granite that stains extremely easily. Right after installation, even a small drop of liquid would penetrate the surface and leave dark stains. When we contacted customer service, we were told that the granite had already been sealed and that "this is how granite works." Their recommendation was simply to wipe all spills immediately - something unrealistic in a busy kitchen with children or during gatherings. After doing my own research about sealers, I eventually contacted Sir Grout. They professionally applied a penetrating sealer, and that completely solved the problem. It was a simple solution that Stone Systems never offered or even recommended. I wish we had been properly informed from the beginning about the maintenance of this particular granite. It took them several weeks to get the stone in and cut. Then another few weeks to schedule an install. They sent 2 men who could not speak English that were sub -contracted and had to speak into phone in order to communicate. They broke a back splash in 3 places and epoxied it together without telling me and installed it. They cracked the main piece where the sink is placed and cut my cabinets in order to simply sit the sink in. Left me no place to anchor the sink up front while seating it myself. Had to call and have supervisor come out not just once to verify problem but then alone to replace and install replacement back splash. Jason did well and was honest to let me know that the grain of cut was not in the direction he told them at warehouse to cut it. Was glad to just have it done even if not what we call the "right way." Would not recommend to anyone. Go with someone for quality work. read more

Stone Systems installed silestone in the kitchen through Lowes. Four years later, 2 hairline cracks appeared. They sent out their representative and after performing his tests, he concluded it was not from abuse or misuse. Cosentino, the company that supposedly offers a 25 year warranty for Silestone, would not warranty the damage . They stated in their letter "improper fabrication and installation or cracks in the surface after installation" were not related to manufacturer's defect. Stone Systems also would not warranty the cracks. WARNING!!!! There is no warranty for Silestone's product or Stone Systems' installation. read more

My experience with Stone Systems was frustrating from beginning to end. It required 5 trips to my home to complete the job. That's 5 days I should be working but instead, I'm left to babysit a crew of full grown children that are incapable of installing 8 pieces of countertop without destroying my home. The quality of product supplied is unacceptable and the craftsmanship, or lack thereof, the install crew performed is going to cost me more time and more money to correct. The first trip was missing 2 tops and my oversize top (up charge) was damaged. On Trip 2, they took the oversized top back to the shop. Trip 3, they brought back the oversize top, it still looks like garbage. On Trip 4, a production manager came out to look at the oversize top and we agreed that they would replace it with new material. He even pointed out more issues in the top. After finally coming to a mutual agreement with Kelly and Daniel and a trip to my home from a production manager, I got a call from another manager, Chris from San Antonio, attempting to gaslight me into keeping the damaged countertop. This countertop is an oversized top (with an upcharge) that looked like it was sanded with 80 grip sandpaper and a metal grinder on the first delivery and just 80 grit sandpaper on the second delivery (Trip #4). Trip #4 is when they realized the measurement on one of the tops that was forgotten on trip 1 was short by 1 1/2" . On the fifth trip, they replaced the entire top with one that still has problems. When the installer left, he asked me to sign a blank piece of paper with only my name on it. I refused. read more

I should have read these reviews when Home Depot assigned Stone Systems for my project. I would echo a number of complaints listed in the numerous reviews below 1. Measure was held up because of internal confusion about a seam, number of phone calls to resolve 2. Terrible follow up - required multiple calls (including to Home Depot) to get then to schedule install 3. Never showed up for the appointment (no enough people for the job?) - no follow up 4. Made the cut out for the slide in stove too small (I think they should know this considering it's their day job) 5. Multiple calls (including to home depot) to even set up a rework appointment 6. Despite clear instruction to use plastic sheeting to isolate job site - did not do it - LEFT WITHOUT CLEANING UP 7. Scratched brand new floors during rework I'm still cleaning up my clothes and valuables because of all the dust left behind. ASK HOME DEPOT TO GIVE YOU ANOTHER CONTRACTOR. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have never had such a horrible experience with a company. Had I known that Home Depot in Bastrop was going to outsource the project to them, I would not have made the purchase. Communication with them was non-existent. I had to do all of the calling, trying to get any information. When they finally came out to install, the installer was putting my solid surface in without any blocking, despite the measurer telling me they would be putting plywood down under the countertop. Without the support, the counter was bowing. I told him to fix it and add the supports. He refused saying he did not have any 1/2" plywood. I had to get the wood myself and put it down. He would have actually left it like that. Then, for some bizarre reason, he decided to put shims under my farmhouse sink, even though it was flush with the cabinet and perfectly level. This caused a gap under the sink and then forced the solid surface counter to bend up at the sink. This then caused the seam to crack. I have been fighting to get it fixed ever since. I was told they were coming out on Thursday - no show. Today they were supposed to come out between 9am - 12n. Didn't show up. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I don't understand how they even stay in business, unless it's because Home Depot doesn't care about the final product, just the sale. Buyer beware. read more

We paid for new countertops at Home Depot on December 1. On December 7, 2018 they came out to measure countertops. On January 18, 2019 the countertops were supposed to be installed but they could not remove the plastic that had bonded to the Dekton countertops. They used a variety of unmarked chemicals in bottles and WD-40. WD-40 is highly toxic if ingested. It will cause asphyxiation. Pretty scary considering my history of oxygen use. They took the countertops back. I insisted that they make me new countertops due to the risk of asphyxiation but Tiffanie Edge the manager of Stone Systems would not. I was without a kitchen sink, dishwasher and countertops for almost 3 weeks. The installer returned with the same countertops with the plastic removed on January 31. As they were installing the countertops, I noticed some imperfections. I told the installer who is over 6 ft tall about them. He became confrontational to the point I was scared so I kept to myself for the remainder of the installation because I did not want him to become angry again as I was home alone and feared him. After the installer left, I inspected the countertops. The seams had big gaps and most of the edges are chipped. There is glue all over my new sink. A few weeks later one of my friends was over who always has her two-year-old next to her. She had put her hand on the countertop to reach a glass high up in the cabinet and it lifted up. We discovered that the countertop piece that is next to the refrigerator is not glued down. Fortunately, she was able to stop it from falling off completely with her hips and legs. I immediately contacted Home Depot and the counter top people did come out with a Home Depot manager and it was determined that the countertops would have to be remade and replaced due to Stone Systems own admission they were unable to properly cut the slab of Dekton resulting in the substandard joinery and edges. We agreed to installation of inferior product under the basis that the inferior material would be installed for a heavily discounted price to reflect the inferior material being utilized. Silestone in pietra was installed mid-March. We choose Silestone because we needed kitchen countertops and we were assured that Stone Systems was able to cut and install the product without chipping of edges and clean seams. The even though it is an inferior product, the new countertops are beautiful with no chipping on edges and seams meet up properly. We did add a waterfall edge that Stone Systems kept on telling us they could not do. We had to contact Home Depot corporate to get them to make it. We also added backsplash with added 15.46 sqft of countertops. Now Stone systems along with Home Depot in Temple is charging me $95/sqft for Silestone when it is currently $68/sqft. At most it would be $76/sqft with no discount. Aaron store manager of the Temple, TX Home Depot store has offered me a $850.00 credit for everything. He said the store is consuming $3373.00 from the cost of Silestone. This is not acceptable. Home Depot along with Stone systems is trying to make money off of their gross negligence. They are even charging $645.84 for removal of the Dekton countertop and said it measured 71.76 sqft the size of the new countertops with waterfall edge. This is about 20sqft more than the Formica countertops we removed ourselves prior to the installation of the Dekton. read more

I was really skeptical to finish my countertop order through Lowe's as I checked out the reviews of the company here. The pics posted were terrifying! But I think they subcontract their workers so I took a gamble. I love our countertops and I think all the guys did a great job! I wasn't going to take anything less than great anyways, but I think the job was phenomenal. I had a special waterfall island (paid extra for the oversized piece) edges look great. Seams by sink look good. They also shimmied my farmhouse sink so everything was 'seamline.' We had Stone Systems install our kitchen countertops through Home Depot. The ordering of the countertops was easy - we had our cabinet designer at Home Depot pre-order the slab, so it was in stock before we even had our cabinets installed. The installation itself went smoothly and looks great - father/daughter team came and installed them in a few hours one afternoon and did a fine job. What I didn't like is I had to hound them to schedule the installation date. They never made contact with me, I was always the one calling them. But in the end, we got our counters installed in a reasonable amount of time, and they look good. If you go through Home Depot and Stone Systems gets contracted out to do your install, just stay ON IT and pester them every day until they get you on the schedule, and then call them to confirm your install date a couple times too. read more

Oh my lord....purchased new granite counters from Home Depot. They subcontracted to Stone Systems. First the installers tried to tell me that I couldn't have my sprayer in my new faucet. After 20 mins on the phone with the plumber, we engineered a solution. Come to find out the hole for our drop in sink was cut way too large so there was a good inch of granite missing from the back. Then we see gouges in the edges as well as a chunk missing from where there would be a seam. I run a home daycare and cannot be without a functioning kitchen for however long they take to recut my granite! I have no water in my kitchen either. Home Depot can't get the stone systems manager on the phone. After calling him every few minutes I finally got him on the phone. He said "let me make a few phone calls and get back to you." Completely unacceptable! Update 1: Bo, the installation manager, seems like he could care less. I had to keep calling him to get info. He never returned any of our calls. They found a way to get us water while we wait for new stone to be cut. But that means I have to pay for plumbing to connect and disconnect twice. Home Depot was great and gave us cash to pay the plumber. They are also getting HD corporate involved. read more

I'm having a similar issue that just happened yesterday and I'll post my results/follow up. They were timely enough for us but once the product arrived I was appalled at the workmanship. Corner cuts which are supposed to be 45 deg angles are way off and slightly rounded on one side to try n cover up the mistake. They also made my kitchen sink counter two feet too short and took that piece back so now we cant use our kitchen. They also installed a bathroom countertop waaaay off center and theres a huge gouge on one side of the other bathroom countertop. At this point I'm ready to back out. If they remake the countertops correctly in a timely manner at no charge, we'll be good. I'll let you know how it turns out. Update 1 Countertops were installed Saturday, they got someone out to check on the pieces in question on tuesday. (Today) He said the corners "are made by hand and aren't going to be perfect." o_O Being someone who's served in the Army's ceremonial unit in DC, I DO NOT accept that an an excuse. I Anyway, the gentleman who came out was nice, friendly, said he'd be here to oversee the install (of the part that never got installed) personally, and that if there was anything else I needed to be sure n call him. The woman I spoke to on the phone was pretty pleasant too but I haven't been hostile towards anyone. It really does make a difference; treating people with respect. I hope our interactions remain as positive as they have been. It'll be interesting to see the technique involved in fixing this. I pray they can make this right because I really don't want to turn this into a big nasty ordeal. I added a star because they've been so nice to deal with thus far, despite complication. Update 2 HUGE IMPROVEMENTS!!! Well the made me a fan. Today they had not just one boss but two bosses along w the tecs making sure everything was being done right and even pitching to help as well. The corners still aren't micrometer perfect but they made them look a whole hell of a lot better than they did. Better yet, they made them look better than something I could have done myself which really is what most of us are after. They got everything fixed and it looks like a million bucks. Beware of this company. I ordered granite countertop through Home Depot. Installation was supposed to be between 2-6 p.m. Friday with a 30 minute ETA call. At 1 p.m. I called to confirm they were coming. It was. At 5:30 I called again. The office had closed at 4:30 - no number to call to find out what was going on. The installer never showed. He then had the audacity to call my husband at 9 p.m. on Saturday night and hung up on my husband when he found out my husband could not speak Spanish. Nothing. By Sunday, I spoke in person with the Home Depot manager, who did her best to get these people moving and even got a Spanish speaker on the phone with the installer, who first tried to claim he had installed the counter and then admitted it was still on his truck and that he had run out of time. He wouldn't complete the install and said he was going to take the granite back. On Monday, I was texted by Tabitha, the manager, at 8 a.m. stating that I would get an installation later that day. The HD manager called right after that and said I should actually speak to her. I called Tabitha. An appointment was set for 2 p.m. Well - the reason I am giving this review - it is 2:19 p.m. No show and talk about a rude and unhelpful "customer service" rep. We shall see if I ever get this granite in and whether it will even be a good install. Let's hope with all the transit time, it has not been damaged. In the meantime, my advice: Buy local and direct - it will be worth the extra time and money. read more

The counters were cut to perfection so a big thank you also to the guy who came out to measure. I went through Lowe's for my purchase. Now I'm scared. Had I seen these poor reviews of SS on Yelp, I would have insisted that HD give me someone else. I experienced the EXACT scenario Eric G from La Grange did. However, my ordeal isn't over yet; I still don't have my countertops, so I'm hoping I can come to a clean/tidy resolution. And SOON, since my kitchen is still torn up waiting for them. Ordered Dekton from Lorraine Philips with Home Depot in Cedar Park TX. Guy from SS came out to measure within 1 day of ordering. Nice guy; prompt, and quick. His measurements and mine were off, so I owed HD some money. but Lorraine failed to notify me of what the diff was. So after one week after not hearing from her or anyone at HD for that matter, I called Lorraine, described the scenario and that I needed to true-up on cost, and she FINALLY put my order in one week later. SO..... four weeks after trueing-up (6 weeks after making the initial purchase), I get a call from SS that my counters are in. So we schedule a time for them to be delivered. I'm told delivery will be on Monday between 2 and 4. For this material, they need my temp countertops removed, the sink/plumbing disconnected, and the stove top out. So we do all that. At 3:30 on Monday, I get a call from SS that the drill bit they use to drill the faucet hole on-site had broken earlier that day while doing another job, and they have to get a new drill bit. It's 3:30 mind you, and he said that drill bit broke earlier that day .... if they had called me when that drill bit broke, then I may not have disassembled my kitchen; I may still have a usable kitchen with the temp counters and plumbing intact. Nonetheless, SS says that they have to order another drill bit online, but that they're going to overnight it. That was Monday. This is now Wednesday, and they still haven't ordered the drill bit! Lord knows WHEN they'll get off their duff and do so. Meanwhile, my kitchen is still disassembled. I struggled with the plumbing taking my sink out, but I now have to go through the effort of re-assembling my kitchen - WHO KNOWS when they'll get around to getting that drill bit and delivering my counters, and I need a usable kitchen with plumbing that I can feed my family from. I feel bent over a barrel. I spent $6K on these Dekton countertops, and it's not like I can go with another sub-contractor. I'm stuck with SS and their lack of communication/action. The only way out is forward. Let's hope they get their act together. I'll update my review and share how this unfolds. Hopefully, it has a quick and happy ending. read more

We ordered SIlestone countertops through Lowe's and they subcontract through this company. We were quoted that it would take up to 4 weeks after they came out and measured for our countertops to arrive. It took almost that long (which is a torturous wait). When the countertops were ready, they called and scheduled a time and did show up within that window. It took a while to do the install and then they left. It took us a day to realize that they never glued down the slab on our kitchen island. Then the next day when the tile people came to do the backsplash, they pulled the oven away from the wall and the strip of countertop behind the oven FELL OFF. We called the company to come fix these issues and it took a while for them to get back to us. They scheduled a time to return and fix it, and then DIDNT SHOW UP at that time. We called again.... they finally came and fixed the issues and all is well now, but it has been a few weeks since the initial install. Their work can be sloppy, I recommend you oversee what they are doing and make sure nothing is forgotten and that they aren't getting the adhesive everywhere (on your countertops, cabinets, walls, etc). read more

We had 2 houses built last year and this company couldn't get our counter tops to fit the shape of our sinks. As we were trying to schedule a time for them to pass by and pick them up to replace the tops, they eventually showed up without proper notice and took one of the sinks away. We told them to come back asap, give our sink back as we needed it, and to show up a week later as we would be out of town. They passed by and picked up the sink in order to use it as a template for cutting the counter tops. We also scheduled a time 3 days later for them to drop the new tops off and install them. The day before they were supposed to come, I followed up and they confirmed they'd be there sometime between 11 and 1. At 12:50, I called the Sales Manager I had been in touch with, he said the delivery was still on for 1pm. Then called someone who had been copied in the scheduling emails and he didn't bother responding to me or just calling me back. Finally called the guy who took the sink away in the 1st place and he said he could be there at 3pm (so, 2 hours late) as they were not done cutting the counter tops. I left as I was busy. But they called back and showed up 1 hour earlier than their latest announced time (you follow?) I quickly met with the guy who was there to deliver and put our stuff back together. I made him promise he would call me when done as I needed to make sure the house was clean and that the house was locked (we had tenants moving in a couple hours later). As he forgot to let me know he was done, I had to follow up and check on him. He said that the sinks were "ok" and that the place was clean. However, see below: - he left a wet towel hanging on a lampshade (not sure what happened here...) - toilet bowl was very dirty (meaning that he couldn't even flush after using the toilets...) - sinks were not connected to pipes, so unusable, and the person said "I'm no plumber". Well, y'all were plumbers when you took the sink away. Even funny that I asked the question "are our sinks usable?" Ha. Ha, of course not. Anyway, a lot of great companies around, save your money and don't try this one out. I'll gladly update this review if I get any response to my voicemail and emails. read more

Hi, I recently hired this company to install new handmade countertops in my parents home. I called on a Monday, and they came out to measure on Friday. The customer service lady I spoke with was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on exactly how long it would take to get the counter tops in, and then how long after when they could install. Overall it took about 3 weeks before the countertops were hand crafted. The customer service lady I spoke with called me as soon as they got in. I scheduled an appointment for a week later, and they came to install on time. The workers they sent were very respectful, and cautious about getting my parents carpet dirty on the way in and out. The workmanship was beautiful and done perfectly in an afternoons work. I love the countertops, and so do my parents. These counter tops were exactly what my parents needed to modernize their kitchen. I'd recommend this company to anyone looking for a one of a kind, easy experience, with beautiful countertops. read more

He came out to the house twice (three if you include grabbing our sink measurements), and worked with us in every way possible. He was also instrumental in getting someone out to fix an issue we had. Five stars for the gorgeous silestone countertops. So thrilled! Two stars for once an issue was uncovered, the lack of follow up and communication. I resorted to calling Josh who got someone to call me. They eventually came out and fixed the issue, but there seems some communication and organizational issues there. Its hard to even know where to begin with this, since it has been such a freakin nightmare. My adventure with Stone Systems began in Oct of last year when we ordered new cabinets and countertops from Lowes. A couple of weeks after ordering, I got a call from the measurer for the countertops wanting to come out and measure. I explained to him that I didn't even have the cabinets yet and assured him that I would call him as soon as I did. Over the next few weeks he called several more times wanting to come out and measure. Finally I explained to him that I certainly did not want to live without countertops any longer than I had to, and to stop calling me, I would call him the day the cabinets were installed. Fast forward several more weeks to the install day of the cabinets. I called the measurer and let him know that the cabinets were in and it was ready to be measured. He then explained that he was swamped, and was about to leave on vacation. So, that my measuring would be at least 3 weeks out. Naturally I asked if there was someone else who could come out and measure, to which he replied that he was assigned to measure mine, so no, I would need to wait until he got back. Once we hung up, I immediately called Stone Systems who assigned a different measurer for the following Monday. Sunday evening that measurer called to let me know that he thought he was coming down with the flu, so he wasn't going to make it. Monday I was back on the phone to Stone Systems looking for another measurer. Several days later, we finally got the measurer out, and it was actually the original guy. At this point we had lived with plywood countertops for about 3 weeks. Finally the counters were in production, or so I thought. It took another week before the materials were finally ordered and cut, at which point they finally called and scheduled the installation. Now this is where things went even further sideways. The installers arrived, late of course, but they did arrive. They began working on the installation only to realize that the production team had cut on of the corners wrong. So, they attempted to cut it onsite, the entire time of which I had to listen to the leader of this installation crew (Freddie) tell me about how they had cut it wrong but that they were doing their best to make it right. Once they had it how they wanted it, the went on with the installation. I have 2 seams on my Silestone counters, one straight and one that has a turn in it. Once they had bonded these two seams together, they looked terrible. The color was off and the seam with the angle just looked ragged. I decided to wait a day or so to see if the color got closer after the bonding agent cured. Not only didn't it, but the straight seam got worse when one edge of the counter raised up about 1/8th of an inch. I called Stone Systems and they sent out Jon, a manager. Jon noted that they had not properly leveled and secured one side of that seam, and that the bonding agent had not hardened on either seam, so out comes Freddie again. After 1 missed appointment, he came out a couple of hours late to fix these seams. He re-leveled the straight one and it now looks fine. The curved one looked good immediately after fixing it, but after 2 days we wiped down the counter top and the bonding agent simply wiped out of the ragged curve. I contacted Jon who said he was going to come out and fix that, but before he could, a bigger disaster happened. I was talking to a tile setter about the backsplash and I leaned on the counter, when I did "POP" the curved seam completely blew open. The we were all shocked. The tile setter (who also does countertops), grabbed the counter on one side and wobbled it up and down. He stated that the seam would have never held because they didn't even secure the counter to the cabinet. He also noted the strong smell of the bonding agent, which indicated that it once again had never hardened. So now I have what you see in the picture, and once again Freddie is coming out to try and get it right. In fact, he just called to let me know that he once again is going to be late. As a last note, please consider that this all started back in Oct. Granted, Stone Systems didn't really get involved until December, but that's still nearly 3 months that I have been dealing with this. read more

My worst nightmare was yesterday. Stone Systems measure person named Jesse assured me the seam would not be noticeable. Sorry these seams are noticeable and they carried in the countertop in pieces. Jason was probably the rudest installer I have ever met. If they want to send him to your residence just say "NO!" It would take me all day to write this epistle, but I refused to sign the paper at the end of the job as it is a WAIVER absolving them of any responsibility and then stating the job was "completed and approved." Jason's parting comments to me were that he "got paid" regardless of whether the customer was happy or not. STAY AWAY AND DON'T SIGN ANYTHING! read more

We worked through HomeDepot (HD) in Bastrop and Stone Systems (SS) was their subcontractor for this install. New counter tops & bar, tear away and remove the old ones. This occurred on or about the 15-Mar. I was told the end-to-end process would take about 4 weeks. I heard from the SS and the guy who does the measurements came out and took care of that within a week. A day or 2 later i had a bill for the difference between my estimates and SS revisions (and i wasn't that far off.. great start so far).Once we settled up, i didn't hear from HD nor SS for over 2 weeks.. and then i got another bill from HD for another $40. I called HD and they said it was for a second visit for measurements. I let them know there had been no second visit and i'd like to know when i can expect my counter tops as i was told it'd be about a 4 week process. I was asked to call S and find out.. BUT, isn't that what HD is there for?? CUSTOMER SERVICE??? Well, lesson learned. I called SS and was put through to scheduling.. seemed my counter tops were fab'd and ready to install. So i scheduled for the earliest possible which was about 2 weeks out. OK, so 6 weeks vs 4 weeks.. but whatever, right??? Then comes the day before the install, zero call to confirm, zero call the day of. Nothing! Now mind you, i had to take out my stove, sink, dishwasher, and clean everything off my counter tops the day before so that they can get their work done... but zero confirmation! Well, i went on faith.. and then come noon day of (they were scheduled to be here between 2 & 4PM) and still no confirmation. So, i called them. I was told, yeah they're still planning to be there today depending on how their job before mine runs. I reiterated to them that this HAS to be done today as my kitchen is torn all apart waiting for these counter tops. Luckily, they did arrive promptly at 2PM. I found the installer (Ryan) pleasant and his work on the countertops to be very good. I did not find any issues with their workmanship or issues with the stone. However...There was a major piece missing from my bar. Ryan did all he could do (counter tops) and said he'd follow up the next business day (as this was Friday). In a brilliant flash of customer service which Stone Systems and HD could learn from, I got a call from him first thing Monday morning noting that the piece was completely missing and needed to be re-manufactured. While this could be used to highlight some obvious gaps in Stone Systems quality control process(es), i very much appreciate the timely and clear communication from their installer. A very bright spot in an otherwise less than desirable experience. Bar install day finally comes (about a week or so later). There was a challenge to cut the bar around a beam and that proved to be a significant issue. IMO the stone was cut badly and had a HUGE gap between the bar and the beam. we're talking on the magnitude of 3/4" to 1"! The corbels i paid for also wasn't installed and i've been told I don't need them. I'm still waiting on HD to refund my $$$. I called SS and complained. They sent out one of their guys John G. to look it over. John was an expert. This guy starting looking at angles to fix this and had multiple suggestions: 1) replace the stone piece, 2) adapt some stone along the wall to cover the crack, Molding/trim, etc. This guy literally knew what he was talking about. In the end, we opted to have him do some stone work to save the piece and add some customization to the bar. Install day came and John showed up promptly and spent hours tending to the job (which i had expected to take an hour or so tops). This guy was meticulous! After he was finished i was very impressed with his work, his experience, and would HIGHLY recommend him for all work. This guy was amazing and did an unbelievable job! In the end, I am very unimpressed with the level of customer service from either HD or Stone Systems. HD should own this process and ensure customer satisfaction, be on top of their contractors, ensure timelines promised are realistic, and manage the process. THEY DID NOT! Stone Systems needs to improve their customer service processes and ensure they are communicating timeline and reliably with the customer and/or HD (assuming HD were to own this process). Stone Systems could also do with a little review of their quality control process as you should not be in the middle of a job to recognize a piece is missing. This should have been noted at multiple other steps in this process. Regardless, this type of experience only impacts the customer and cannot possibly reflect well on the reputation of HD and Stone Systems. Based on this experience, i will never use either of these parties in any further remodeling of my home. I would use John G. again in a heartbeat and couldn't praise him enough; however, he was the lone bright spot in this whole process. I'd give John 5 stars, but the whole of SS left a lot to be desired! read more

I ordered Silestone from Home Depot and they contracted my installation through Stone Systems of Central Texas. Initially I was nervous because of the reviews on Yelp. However, all that I could humbly say would definitely not be enough for the superb installation that I received!!! Jason and his assistant Mr. Ruhe were phenomenal!!! They removed the old Formica counter tops without ANY damage to my cabinets, moulding, or tile! Jason was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and went above and beyond in answering my questions, providing consistent direction to his assistant, and superbly installing my counter tops. Also, Jason was gracious enough to install a small piece of drywall that the builder missed. Furthermore, he installed the corbels immaculately around the moulding as if the moulding was installed around the corbels! During and after they were finished, they vacuumed the area and left after shining my Silestone. My counter tops looked as if I installed the Silestone and subsequently installed the tile. Jason can definitely write a book and teach classes in how to properly remove counter tops and install Silestone flawlessly! Kudos to Stone Systems for having such dedicated, professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable employees. read more

I don't know why the other reviews are not favorable-perhaps it was a "B" team?? Let me tell you about out experience. Awesome. Two guys expertly put in our quartz counter top in a way that did not create a big mess. I didn't even have to swifer after they finished. They demo'd the old counter top and backslash. These were good guys-one was from the Czech Republic. They too were teamed up with Home Depot and I can't say enough how the whole experience was really fantastic! Everyone was on time (shocker) and cool. So all paws up and thanks to these folks! Shout out to Josh! read more
