We reached out to Isaac initially when we were preparing to put our home on the market. We were…read morelooking for a full service company to help us with a variety of repairs, and after reading several good reviews, we emailed for an estimate. Isaac responded immediately and offered to come take a look a couple days later. We had had problems with communication with several other vendors, so this was already a great improvement. He showed up on time and we had a written quote within a week for fence repairs, deck repair and painting, cabinet painting and hardware installation, and a few other small painting/patching jobs. We got 3 other estimates (none of which could do all of the different things I Renovate was able to do) and I Renovate's price was by far the best. The deck and fence work started immediately and were completed in a timely manner and turned out great. Isaac made an effort to stay in communication with us to check in and make sure we were on the same page about the interior work we were waiting to do after we moved out. During and after we moved out, we discovered several other minor repairs that needed to be addressed. Isaac worked with us to accommodate the extra work at a very fair price and stayed until everything we added was completed. He and his team were friendly and professional, and their work was quality. Here's where I Renovate really went above and beyond. While painting cabinets in the kitchen they discovered the water line that connected to the refrigerator was leaking. This has nothing to do with the work they were doing, but instead of just letting us know, Isaac went to Home Depot to try and replace the cap and fix the leak to save us the trouble of having to call a plumber. In the end the line had to be replaced, and we did have a plumber out, but we so appreciated Isaac's efforts to save us time and money. Not to mention, how much damage the leak could have caused had they not noticed it! Isaac's team replaced and painted the dry wall that had to me removed by the plumber, and at the end of the day you couldn't tell there had ever been a problem. I would recommend I Renovate to anyone. They know how to communicate with customers and don't cut corners. They are skilled in a lot of different areas, which eliminates the need to have multiple vendors (which is a huge headache). We plan on having them build an interior wall in our new house to create an office space soon. So glad we found I Renovate!

He was the most thorough, provided ideas that no one else did, and spent over 2 hours, unpaid, speaking with us about our project. After speaking with him, we knew without question that we wanted to hire him. Since our kitchen remodel, Isaac has done several other projects for us. He's redone our garage, bathroom, and closets, replaced flooring in our entire house, and remodeled our bathrooms as well. He always took time, even on weekends, to answer my calls or texts in a very timely manner for every single project. He was a wealth of knowledge and knew what suggestions to make based on our style preferences. His attention to detail has been evident in every project. Most importantly, he ensures everything is done correctly because he genuinely cares about providing high quality, professional work. We have made him our go-to contractor and point person for any project we undertake, and this is because of his dependability, qualifications, workmanship, comprehensiveness, meticulousness, and honesty. We HIGHLY recommend I-Renovate and Isaac for any remodeling! Because of him, our house has become a functional and beautiful home that we absolutely love!!

We requested a few estimates actually, we were interested in how much it we would save by laying the decking boards ourselves, and how much it would be if we skipped the roof. They were quick to reply with a detailed estimate for all of the variations we asked for. We ended up having them only do the deck framing and they did a fantastic job! I appreciated the fact that they cleaned up their work area every day before they left, never leaving a mess when they were done. I was particularly impressed with the effort that they took to answer all the questions I had while they worked, even making a point to give me various tips and details that would be helpful when I went to lay the decking boards later. Their advice was invaluable! I have the strong impression that they care about both the quality of their work and reputation and were invested in the final product being as good as possible even though I wasn't paying them to do the entire job. We will definitely use them again if the need arises. Highly recommended!

I try to avoid writing very negative reviews but this one is deserved and I'm out $1500…read more In Summer of 2013 I purchased an Angie's List "Big Deal" from Green Castle for "four days of labor" for $1500 (35 hours). I intended to use it for sheetrock repair and patching throughout my house. Upon inspection of the job, they indicated it should not be a problem to complete the repairs in the alloted time. -The worker came on three different days for three to four hours at a time (according to my neighbors.) He arrived generally between 10 and 11 a.m. and left between 2 and 3 p.m. -After working for two partial days, he disappeared for 10 days. The next time he came back, he indicated his wife had been ill. I told him it was not a problem but to let me know if he wasn't coming on a particular day, which never happened. -After the second day he told me he didn't have a ladder or a way to transport one - even though he had been to the house and knew that the bulk of the repairs were around ceilings and door frames. I had to borrow one from my neighbor for him to use. If that fact had come up the first day, it would have been helpful. -One day upon leaving in the early afternoon, he texted and told me that his helper who used to work with him had gone into catering so it was taking longer for him to do the work alone. -On a day I expected him to arrive, he texted me and said that Home Depot was out of 2x2 sheetrock so he'd have to come back after he found some ... -The third time he came back was the week before Christmas. He indicated that he planned to return once his boss stopped putting him on other jobs. He never said anything about the 35 hours being used up. I called Henry the owner in the middle of last week and asked when they were going to finish the work. He acted surprised "He didn't finish???" Henry didn't say anything about the time being used up but that he would call the worker and find out what was up. I never heard back from him. My next two calls to Henry went to voice mail, and today I have received a text from the worker guy saying "Henry told me to text you and let you know that the 35 hours of work was done, anything else that needs to be done that's past the 35 hours cost extra" and "I was told once I hit 35 hours to stop what I am doing and leave" Apparently the fact that less than half of the project which was supposedly doable in 35 hours was completed was irrelevant. If, by some magical warp in time, he did spend 35 hours working at my house (he didn't) why did no one ever bring that fact up in response to my numerous calls, texts and e-mails between December and now? In fact, why did the worker guy indicate that he was planning to come back? Why won't the owner, Henry, return my phone calls or e-mails but instead has his employee text me that the work is done? It's clear that I am an unhappy customer and instead of finding out my side of the story, he's avoiding me. Is it acceptable that they did NOT do the top priority repairs (taping and floating the large areas of damage, and instead did the minor work (and that inconsistently)? I was very clear with Henry and the worker during the inspection that the big stuff was most important. In the end, NONE of those repairs were made.

I called Scott today to come out and take a look at a small job I need completed. He was very…read morefriendly and honest on the phone, saying he didn't think I needed a general contractor based on the job description (I have a small section of brick facade sliding off the outside of my home, which Scott said would be more appropriate for a mason), but he'd be happy to come by and take a look. He gave me a time estimate for when he thought he'd by, and then called to let me know he'd be over shortly -- so his communication and timeliness were very good at the outset. When he came to my home, he took a thorough look at the problem and gave me multiple suggestions for how to tackle it for the lowest cost -- none of which involved paying him to do it. It was definitely refreshing to have a contractor looking at a problem for a potential client with the best interest of the client in mind. While he was over, we also discussed some other projects my wife and I have been thinking about, and he gave us some very good advice there as well, and did not try to sell us on his services. The only selling he did was to leave us his card. Finally, about 10 minutes after he'd left, he called back from his car with a suggestion for how to talk about the sliding brick issue with the builder of our home and possible recourse we might have. The only reason I give Scott 4 stars instead of 5 is that we never had him do any actual work for us, though that will change, as we will definitely be calling him back if we are in need of a general contractor in the future.

I'll start by acknowledging I am a perfectionist. That said, Jeff and his team did a very good job…read more We needed paint touch ups throughout the house i.e.: baseboards, cabinets, a few walls that show natural wear/scuff marks and some light texture work. Jeff came out same day to provide an estimate which I really appreciated. After some negotiation we landed on a fair price. Most of their work was very good. We had an area in the bathroom that needed to be retextured then painted. This was most challenging of the work and it was completed to perfection. There were also a few patches in the garage (same idea) that were done very well by the same painter (the most talented of the crew). In the kitchen were a few baseboards (made of MDF) that needed to be filled and on his 2nd visit Jeff went out of his way to pickup some caulk and touch up. I do VERY much appreciate the effort to fix... that said, from a process standpoint I wish the fill had been addressed on the first visit noting you'd ideally have the caulk dry for some time before painting over it. Again, its not perfect but it does look better than before. Our kitchen island needed a few touch ups on the bottom as well. While the chips have been painted over it does look like more sanding was required for a smoother finish. Ok result not great. Lastly, a wall in our guest room had a mirror hanging on it. My assumption was the painters would remove the mirror to paint the area. Unfortunately, they just painted around it. As a result, we have uneven paint. Jeff repainted some spots they had missed but there is still a noticeable line when the mirror is removed from the wall. It likely won't be an issue when hanging but from a perfectionists standpoint, I don't like knowing the discoloration/ visible line exists under the mirror. Overall, fair pricing, pleasant crew and good work. Would very much recommend but would also encourage clear communication on requested work and desired expectations. Thanks again to Jeff!!
