After having my foundation fixed I had them repaired the brick on the side of my home that had along crack in it. Cleaned up the cracks and recoated the skirting. They did two plumbing jobs for me. One was correcting the poor work another local plumbing company did a year before. They did an awsome job replacing my front entry door with a new one that required a lot of extra work. They added concrete to extend the floor for the door to sit on. Finally they replaced all the rotten trim on my home around the windows and corners joints on my home. Matterhorn came recommended from my wife's boss, and that put them over the edge as far as hiring them. They demoed our old kitchen, removed soffits and outfitted the kitchen for new cabinets. They demoed our old tile floor and installed the new vinyl plank flooring. Then after our cabinets and counters were installed, they assisted us with our appliance outfitting. As with any home renovation project, there are snags and problems along the way, and they worked through them with ease. I've heard so many horror stories of people having nightmare experiences with contractors during home renovation projects, but I can safely say you won't with Matterhorn. Do your research and read the reviews - and hire Matterhorn for your next project. We will be having them back to do our bathrooms here in the next year or so.

We initially reached out to GIS because my engagement party was being held at my family's home, and we needed the interior repainted. We also decided to replace the outlets for a fresher look. Tony and Mark were the ones who came out to get everything started, and the inside looks absolutely beautiful now! After the party, we decided to take things a step further and have the wood flooring in our living room replaced to match the rest of the house. Once again, Tony, Mark, and their team were incredible, fast, detail-oriented, and so professional. The attention to detail during both the removal and installation of the flooring really stood out. During that project, my grandmother mentioned a few floorboards in her bedroom that had started to buckle. When Mark came to inspect, he discovered moisture beneath the boards and immediately walked us through all possible scenarios. Together with Tony, he helped us find a solution and identified that the issue came from a window that hadn't been properly sealed, allowing water to leak inside. While that was unexpected, we were so thankful for their honesty and transparency throughout the process. Once the window, wall, and flooring were repaired, her room has never looked better! We also had the inside and outside of our fireplace redone, which looks amazing, along with refreshed caulking in both bathrooms that really gave the spaces a clean, updated look. Every project completed by Tony, Mark, and the rest of the GIS team has been superb. They're incredibly communicative, always keeping us updated on progress, timelines, and next steps. Contractors & Small Businesses -- Read This Before Working With GIS Contracting LLC…read more My HVAC company was subcontracted by GIS Contracting LLC, owned by Tony Gomez, to do the mechanical work at the Williamson County Bagel Shop. We completed the job in full, on time, and under a signed contract. After the work was done, Tony Gomez and GIS Contracting LLC refused to pay the remaining $13,600 they owe us. Repeated invoices, calls, and emails have been ignored thill this day 08/14/25. This is not just bad business -- it's a breach of trust that hurts local contractors who show up, do the work, and expect to be paid what was promised. If you're a contractor, supplier, or business owner, think twice before working with GIS Contracting LLC or Tony Gomez. Get every protection in writing, and be prepared to enforce it. Learn from my experience before it becomes yours. PS: GIS will comment under here saying the matter has been resolved but in fact nothing was ever resolved.

We worked with local, family-owned CG&S on an exterior renovation - updating our 1940s home to…read moreCraftsman style. Our home had no original details, but did have a lot of the original exterior materials. The team had to meticulously remove our particle board siding in sections and reseal as there were no exterior walls/wrap and our insulation was just under the siding; shim the roof level while regarding interior drywall as we don't have attic space; shim walls to align with varying depths of windows hung by another company; re-run electrical; and then add wood siding, two new decks with detailed craftsman woodwork, a custom front door, and other finishes. Working on our older home was harder than starting fresh and they handled it with care. Handling permitting was also in their remit and we were glad it was. Our architect handled forms for historical buildings/neighborhoods, city arborists, easements, and other zoning debacles. When we were limited by the city's requirements for expanding our porch, our architect adjusted our plans as best she could to still have a beautiful outcome. We also appreciated most of the subcontractors selected for the job. While the budget was hard to talk about up front, we didn't have any change orders due to surprises - unlike our interior reno project. With any long term renovation project it was important to stay in communication, keep notes, and ask questions and most stressful moments were quickly addressed by the team. The CG&S owners still invite us to their annual tamale dinner and treat us like family. We hope to do another project with them some day!
