Jeff painted our "new to us" home from top to bottom. We had him do the ceilings, trim, doors, built ins and kitchen cabinets. We are extremely pleased with the job he did. He and his entire team were professional, prompt, detail oriented and helpful. If I had a concern, he was very kind and receptive about getting it taken care of. He also took it upon himself to try and work with our tile guy to try and shave a few days off our remodel process. The kitchen cabinets he painted had a few defective hinges, and he found exact replacements after visiting several stores throughout the Austin area. I can't say enough about the job he did and I will gladly use him again in the future. read more

I'll start by acknowledging I am a perfectionist. That said, Jeff and his team did a very good job. We needed paint touch ups throughout the house i.e.: baseboards, cabinets, a few walls that show natural wear/scuff marks and some light texture work. Jeff came out same day to provide an estimate which I really appreciated. After some negotiation we landed on a fair price. Most of their work was very good. We had an area in the bathroom that needed to be retextured then painted. This was most challenging of the work and it was completed to perfection. There were also a few patches in the garage (same idea) that were done very well by the same painter (the most talented of the crew). In the kitchen were a few baseboards (made of MDF) that needed to be filled and on his 2nd visit Jeff went out of his way to pickup some caulk and touch up. I do VERY much appreciate the effort to fix... that said, from a process standpoint I wish the fill had been addressed on the first visit noting you'd ideally have the caulk dry for some time before painting over it. Again, its not perfect but it does look better than before. Our kitchen island needed a few touch ups on the bottom as well. While the chips have been painted over it does look like more sanding was required for a smoother finish. Ok result not great. Lastly, a wall in our guest room had a mirror hanging on it. My assumption was the painters would remove the mirror to paint the area. Unfortunately, they just painted around it. As a result, we have uneven paint. Jeff repainted some spots they had missed but there is still a noticeable line when the mirror is removed from the wall. It likely won't be an issue when hanging but from a perfectionists standpoint, I don't like knowing the discoloration/ visible line exists under the mirror. Overall, fair pricing, pleasant crew and good work. Would very much recommend but would also encourage clear communication on requested work and desired expectations. Thanks again to Jeff!! read more

Matchless Interior Painting - Painters Near Me - Dripping Springs, Texas

Jeff was great - he did a top notch job on our interior walls at a very competitive price. He was quick to get us an estimate as well as to get us on his schedule. Jeff was flexible and worked over a weekend to ensure our business hours wouldn't be negatively impacted. We highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to call on him again if we have more painting projects. read more

I was given the number for Jason Stevens, owner of this business, from another favorably-reviewed painter listed on Yelp who was booked solid. I called Jason on a Sunday morning with a desperate need to have some interior painting done at a rental home I own. It involved painting a difficult-access 2 story stairwell and several other rooms. Based on my description, Jason gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone (which he honored to the dollar after actually visiting the house), and agreed to meet me the following day at the job location. After reviewing the job description on-site, Jason committed to doing the job just 2 days later. Sure enough, like clockwork, he showed up on the job at the exact scheduled time, and amazingly powered out the entire project in a day's time. I have to say Jason's work was absolutely flawless. Not a drop of paint anywhere, the walls all nicely covered, all woodwork and trim were carefully masked off. And when the job was complete, all his materials were removed and the house was ready for occupancy. I was so impressed I then contracted with him for an exterior trim painting job at another location, again a difficult 2 story house. Again, the job was done exactly on the date promised, and absolutely without fault. In this day and age when it's near impossible to get a craftsman to even show up at the appointed time to give an estimate, it is refreshing to see a young man (albeit 14 years experience in this business) who takes pride in meeting his commitments, and in the quality of his work. I'll be using him many more times in the future! read more

I can't recommend Jason enough if you need interior painting done. He did all the painting and prep himself and is an all-around pleasant and considerate person. His work ethic is nuts, I don't think he ever even took a break for lunch. He got my place done in 2 days even with all the trim, detailing and some ceiling work. The results are immaculate, especially on the edges and trim which take a perfectionist to get right. He uses the newest super fancy high quality VOC paint and there were pretty much no fumes, unlike my experience with Behr paints back when I did this myself at another place. I can also say that having painted an apartment myself, hiring Jason was worth every penny. Another thing I really appreciated was that he gave me an estimate over the phone so I could get a dollar figure right away without feeling obligated. The first company I called first (also highly rated on Yelp) pushed me to change my paint color choices (Hah! I'm a designer and artist so bad idea) and quoted me almost twice as much, after spending 2 hours with me at my home. My place ended up needing more coats of paint than Jason's original phone estimate but he still stuck to the quote, which I appreciate. read more

Holy cow- Matchless is seriously amazing. We had serious reservations about hiring painters. It's something we've always done ourselves, but our new landlord required that we have professionals paint if we wanted color so we bit the bullet. And it was a HUGE bullet. We had major budget constraints and every bid we got was waaaay over our budget. AND THEN...there came Jason. He couldn't get all the way down to our budget, but he was very willing to help us find a middle ground. Not only that, but he also used No VOC paint, which was a requirement for us since we have a little one. He got everything color matched to the paint swatches we wanted (different brand) and it looks absolutely amazing. Furthermore, he had said the job would take 2 days for him and his assistant, Lee, to get done. Unfortunately Jason was called out on a family emergency so we only had Lee. We got a little worried that it'd take longer since it was just one guy--but it only took 1 1/2 days!! Not only that, but Lee was so nice and communicative with us during the whole thing. Jason seriously scored with his assistant! Lastly, there was a small drip that happened onto one of our sets of blinds. Without a moments hesitation, Lee contacted us and told us about it and had already researched where the former owner had bought the blinds, which exact blinds they were, and had them ordered! He came back and installed them as soon as they came in. I can not recommend this team enough. They were extremely professional and were just the nicest guys to work with. read more

Bottom line: if you need a painter in the Austin area, Jason Stevens is the man to call. In my case, he painted the interior of both floors of my 1700 sq. foot house and they look fantastic. His attention to detail, professionalism and great attitude far outshine the competition. He's prompt to return calls, proactive about letting you know what's going on with the project, and charges a fair price. If you need an in-person reference, feel free to contact me. read more

I had a very nice experience working with Jason and his Matchless Interior Painting team. Jason and team repainted the entire interior of my home, top to bottom, as well as my front door and exterior brick at the front of my home. I have never hired a professional team to do painting work for me, so I was a bit nervous to say the least. This was a big job that I really didn't want to go wrong. I was not disappointed, however. Jason responded to my first email right away and came by my home shortly after to discuss the job and my options. We agreed to a plan that evening and a contract was underway. I felt completely at ease working with Jason and I felt confident that I had made the right decision in choosing Matchless to do my painting job. I absolutely love the new colors in my home and have already received several compliments. I never could have done this on my own, and I am so grateful for the work that Jason and his team did. Everything looks great! Don't hesitate in choosing Matchless to do your paint job. The price is good, Jason and team are great and easy to work with, and the work is top quality. read more

Thanks to Yelp, I gave Jason a shot... And couldn't be happier. Jason is a one man show and you truly get the care of someone who is running the company. He was very prompt with phone calls and work times. He was able to set an appointment only about a week out and stuck to his estimate. His work is clean and precise. Jason's background is in painting cars, which is about 100x harder than painting homes. We had him repaint three bedrooms, one ceiling, a front door and shutters. He repaired minor bumps and bruises in the drywall before-hand and the finished result is excellent. The downside to this is any spots he didn't paint (crown molding, ceiling, baseboard trim) looks worse. You might want to hire him for the entire house! Bottom line: Jason's work is top notch, his prices cannot be beat, and I trust him in my home even if I am not there. read more

Professional perfection! When I called Jason to get a quote he gave me a quote over the phone and scheduled my job within a few days. When they arrived they were on time and very friendly! Jason was there supervising and helping the whole time which made me feel very at ease. The guys did a great job and were in and out in a few hours, leaving the place just as clean as they found it and with a beautiful newly painted accent wall! Will definitely be using Jason again for my next project and recommending him to anyone who needs a painter! Thank you Jason and team! read more

I was looking for a company to do some accent walls in our office. I sent in a request via email and not more than 5 mins I got a call from Jason. I told him what I wanted and he provided a light quote over the phone. He was arrived at my office in 30 mins from the call to get a better look. With such a reasonable price, friendly service, and many swatches to select colors from, we sealed the deal for a paint job 5 days later. Jason & the team arrived on time, worked quietly around employees, and was diligent about ensuring the paint job was outstanding along the wall line, outlets, and etc. Very pleased with the job and would recommend them to anyone. If I ever need a paint job in the future, I've already got my painters picked out. =) read more

So it is nice to see that Yelp really does direct you to some great places. We were looking for some major interior repainting for a couple big rooms plus some baseboard repainting. Jason and Lee were so incredibly awesome I don't even know where to begin except to say that you should defintely call them! Jason came over in a reasonable time frame and gave me a quick estimate on the spot whereas I had to wait a couple of days for another company to provide me with estimate. He had some great ideas for color options and I was very happy to see that their wall paint was 0 VOC and the baseboard paints were low VOC, which was important since we were still planning on being in house and have little ones. The crew showed up on time and were so polite, neat and friendly. They worked quickly and efficiently. Jason estimated a day and a half and that is exactly what it took, maybe a little less. The costs were reasonable and the work superior, at least to my eyes. They have a busy schedule so the only downside is they are so popular, it may be difficult for them to fit you in but we lucked into a 2 day opening he had so we had our rooms painted 2 weeks from the date of estimate! Just can't emphasize that these guys are nice, professional, and very educated and careful in their work! read more

I am so pleased with how the rooms in my home have turned out! Matchless is wonderful! The owner, Jason, was direct and highly punctual when estimates were being generated and during all meetings. It didn't matter what time of day or night you contacted him through e-mail; he was always quick to respond. His estimates were fair, and he went over all details thoroughly with you. Jason even went out of his way to make sure he could paint my home within my rushed needs. The matchless team was courteous, efficient, talented, and tidy. They were a pleasure and were careful not to be in my way while at home. The team painting a few rooms in my home with high ceilings (top to bottom). They also sanded and painted a large bookshelf. Everything is crisp and beautiful! When the job was finished, there were no erroneous splatters leftover and all trash was carried out. Matchless took care of everything. Jason painted my condo about a year ago. My only regret is not writing this review sooner. He and his team are honest, hard working, service-oriented, friendly, efficient and do excellent work. I had just moved to Austin and my schedule was pretty hectic. Jason was very accomodating when booking my appointment. He even called as soon as he finished one job and came over to my place to start the job early. He finished under the quoted time and the place looked fabulous. He even refused part of my tip as being too generous and asked my to call him if I had any questions, concerns or complaints. He followed up with me a couple weeks after the fact just to make sure everything was ok. I decided to paint one more room in my condo about a month after the initial job. I was happy to book Matchless again. Jason's work was as quick and seamless as the first time. He touched up a few places in the first job, free of charge, that had fallen victim to my sniff- and scratch-happy dog. A year later, my condo still looks bright and beauftil and I couldn't be happier with his work. Worth every penny of his reasonable pricing. Thanks to former Yelp reviewers for leading me to Matchless, and thank you Matchless and Jason for helping make my condo a home. read more

I so wish we could recommend Jeff and his services. He came to our house initially and gave an estimate that seemed affordable, and aside from the job taking longer than expected, he and his crew did a good job painting the rooms we hired them for. That said, during the painting job, Jeff threw a lit cigarette into our front lawn and set the mulch on fire (he's a smoker). This resulted in extensive damage to the lawn that has grown over time. We requested a refund, but Jeff wouldn't give it to us and instead offered to replace the plants. After several weeks of asking when he was going to do this, he finally came and planted several small shrubs that, it turns out, aren't supposed to be in our yard because they aren't meant for this area or a lawn this size and will suffocate other plants in the yard. In addition, several large bushes died in the ensuing months, creating an eyesore on our front lawn that now needs to be fixed by a professional because the bushes are so large that we can't remove them. Jeff asked us to pay $1200 for three rooms of our house. He requested we pay in cash and gave a discount, which we obliged. However, he gave us no invoice for his services and because we didn't use a credit card, we now can't contact our own credit card company for assistance. In addition, we are now faced with $800 worth of damage to the lawn--2/3 of what we paid for the rooms themselves. I find it ironic that matches (or at least matches that were used to light cigarettes) caused such extensive damage to our lawn from a company called Matchless. I wish I could report that this company is indeed matchless, especially because I hate posting Yelp reviews for small businesses. That said, I cannot recommend this company in good conscience given the lack of respect Jeff showed to our house and to us and the damage that we are now having to fix. read more

We just finished a major home remodel and had plenty of experience with people who weren't able to show up on time, weren't professional and didn't do their best work. It's just the nature of the business. In fact, I got so fed up with the painter we used for that project that I decided to contact Jason at Matchless when I wasn't happy with the color I chose for a bedroom and wanted to change it. The old painter was STILL at my house fixing his countless screw-ups so he could have easily done it, but I'd had enough. Jason was courteous and responsive on email, called me twice to confirm, showed up on time, was super polite to my husband, and did a great job for a reasonable price. You'd think this would be common practice but unfortunately it isn't. All I know is I will be using Matchless in the future for all my painting needs. Highly recommend read more

Jeff came and bid my small house 1000 square feet and 4 rooms at 1100. I supplied the paint. Who showed up at my house was teenagers and it was clear that they did not know how to paint. The cut ins are sloppy and paint runs all over my walls. When I hired this company I thought it was Jeff that was going to paint, but he sent over all his flunkies. It was definately a bait and switch. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Terrible job. read more

I am so very pleased with the painting of my condo. Jason and his assistant were always on time, even when I asked them to get here early! The quality of work was excellent. Jason found my colors in great paint that produced no toxic gases, I didn't even know that was possible. I have a bedroom door that is very close to the side of the room. I chose to use an accent color on the wall with the door. That meant one very narrow strip of wall needed the accent color. So, there's the door trim, the accent color and the new wall color all beautifully executed in about an inch of vertical space. When I realized what I'd asked them to do, and they delivered, I was even more impressed with the level of skill and attention to detail. Jason went above and beyond the scope of painting: my door to the laundry area was not closing easily, and they replaced the part that was causing the problem when they re-hung the door. I was amazed and pleased. I'd hired them again in a minute! Thank you, Jason...my cats and I have moved back in and are loving every minute! read more

Jeff and his crew painted my home last year and they did an excellent job. Jeff was honest about timing, expectation and level of service. His crew was very respectful and courteous. They were in my home painting every wall, ceiling, door and trim. They had to paint a lighter color over a much darker color and they were very particular about getting it done right. I like clean lines on creases and trim and that was done expertly. I have recommended Jeff to many friends and clients because of his and his crew's service. Job well done! read more

Cannot say enough about Jason and his business. Great guy, great price and gave me a discount with cash payment. The quality of work was great and him and his assistant paid great attention to the trim and detail in the room since there was a lot of it. edit on 12/19/16: our experience with Jeff and his crew was so positive in our clinic that we had them out to paint the interior of our home last month. They did a fantastic job, made it as smooth as it could possibly be, did terrific work and at an exceptional price. These guys rock, will absolutely use them again. Yeah, what everyone else says here? It's the truth. We moved our clinic (we do exercise-based posture therapy for people in pain) into a new office space and while the painting in the space looked ok, once we got into the space, the walls where we do therapy became a mess in a hurry. Every touch of the wall left a mark and the walls became a mess. The construction crew used the wrong finish of paint on the walls in the therapy area, not enough of a sheen, and they used a crappy paint. Had Jason come in and take a look and he put together a plan. Matched the colors perfectly, then he and Lee came in and kicked butt. Showed up at 5pm and got to work, and when we came in the next morning, everything was perfect. And because he used no-VOC paint, there was zero paint smell. And the walls look GREAT! I'm so impressed I'll be getting bids on some stuff for our home. Bottom line, if you need painting done, do yourself a favor and let Jason bid on the job. They do it right. read more

I hired Matchless to paint my living room, hallway, and kitchen before I moved in to my new house. The quality was fine, not superb, but fine. I figured I'd hire them again to paint the rest of my house after I moved in and decided on colors. When that time came, I e-mailed them for an estimate. It took several days (I think almost a week), so while I was waiting, I figured I should do the adult thing and get a second estimate. I contacted Great Works Painting the same way I had found Matchless--through Yelp. Jose came out, and I could tell that his work would be better than Matchless'. (He told me to find out what color paint the ceilings had been painted and that he'd touch up the spots where the previous owners had used paint that didn't quite match--I hadn't even noticed it. He said he'd do it for only the cost of the paint.) Because he seemed to have a high standard for quality, I figured he'd also be more expensive. Turns out, his estimate was HALF of what Matchless was going to charge. I went with him, and I was right: His work is better. As I said, Matchless is fine. But if you want better work for less cost, check out Great Works Painting. read more
