His estimate was very reasonable, he showed up when he said he would, and he finished the job in under 4 hours. I still need to do the paint, but Daren's stucco work was excellent, you can't tell work was done! After 30 years of wanting this done, I was so happy with the result that I paid a little extra. I will definitely hire Daren for my next handyman job, he's a straight shooter.

In…read moreaddition, I had a prior contractor move a pass through door and subsequently made it way too narrow, so narrow that only a skinny adult or small child could squeeze through. My poor shoulders literally got scratched walking through. Daren and Dave performed the following projects: widened the small doorway and fixed shoddy prior work, patched 8 electrical cut out boxes (old cable/lan lines/tv hidden wire boxes), ceiling light move hole patched, big 10x20" cutout from a plumbing project, float out old drywall repair that had a big vertical seam. He was highly skilled and at all of the patches, the framing and sheetrock installation/mudding/taping/texture spraying. I appreciated how quickly Daren worked and the quality of every job. A lot of the work was detailed but also technical in terms of fixing that doorway. He nailed it. In addition, he arrived promptly at 7:00am each day as promised, did an immaculate job taping and containing the areas in plastic to ensure no overspray got on my stuff. He also did a wonderful job cleaning up! I recommend giving him a call if you need work done.

I'm so happy that I hired Veteran Handyman Services. From the very first call, the experience and…read morecommunication was excellent. I called on a Tuesday morning, Alan answered right away. He listened carefully to what I needed done and gave me an accurate quote over the phone. Due to having a sense of urgency in getting the project done, Alan got me scheduled the very next morning at 8:30 AM. Alan and Josh installed 3 ceiling fans and 5 crystal chandelier light fixtures. They showed up right on time, friendly, professional, and fully prepared with the proper tools and gear. I did not ask and did not expect, but they wore booties to protect my floors. They were extremely polite, careful, respectful and yet personable. Their attention to detail was outstanding. They precisely lined up three chandeliers in my main entrance hallway with precision, perfect spacing, and alignment. Josh even wore white gloves while carefully hanging each crystal one by one, which showed the level of care they put into their work. The ceiling fans, dimmer switches, and ceiling medallions were installed beautifully and created the dramatic, elegant look I was hoping for. What really stood out was their professionalism, communication, and honesty. The price Alan quoted over the phone remained exactly the same when the job was completed. The only increase was due to additional work I requested. They explained everything clearly before and after the work, which gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind. Any last-minute adjustments I requested were handled immediately, with no hesitation and always with a smile. They truly went above and beyond the original scope of work to make sure everything was perfect, and that level of service made me trust them and feel confident using them again for future projects. Working as a two-man team, they were efficient, knowledgeable, and supportive of each other to make sure everything was done correctly and on time. They clearly take pride in their work and offer top-notch handyman services at a very reasonable price. If you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy, prompt, and skilled handyman team, Alan and Josh are your guys! They can handle far more than just ceiling fans and chandeliers, and I will absolutely be hiring them again for future projects. Thank you again, Alan and Josh - You guys are the best!

I had some handyman projects, so I went online to search for highly rated handymen in my area. I…read morefound 5 of them -- two of them never responded to my inquiries, but three did. All three were responsive to my requests and all the pricing was pretty much in the same range. Veteran (Alan) was in the middle regarding the price he quoted, but I had a feeling that would be the best for us. I was obviously right. He was responsive to my multiple changing SOWs and on the day of the install, he showed up right on time with his son as his helper. The first day, he needed his son to help since I had an 85" TV to hang and also some pretty heavy wall mounted laundry room cabinets. He hung two TVs and installed the mounting brackets for me, and also installed 4 wall cabinets and 4 floor cabinets, along with a sink unit with plumbing. His estimate of time was spot on, and he took exactly the time he thought he might need to do the job. He was fast, efficient, courteous, cleaned-up after the job, and even took away the mountain of cardboard and packing materials that all the cabinetry and other stuff came in. I am a stickler for good customer service and for good work that you pay for, so if I say this guy is good, you can take that to the bank!! Postscript: I cannot believe he was so few reviews. I would think that everyone he works with would give him a good review. Also, as of this writing, he has two Yelp reviews that are not recommended. Why?? Those two reviews are 5-star reviews too and seem accurate and appropriate for what they say.

He assured me he had worked with this product before and was confident he could do the job. When it rained, after his installation, water came pouring through the two holes where the light and ceiling fan work was done and the light shorted out and tripped the breaker. I sent Mark a text on august 8th, with a video showing the water coming though, and got no response. I called about a month later (we were on vacation) and he didn't answer but on September 18th he sent me the following text: "Good Morning Sir. I am currently in a psychiatric hospital and have been for a couple of months. I just got to see my phone. I will return your call when I am permitted to do so. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause". I then found the company who originally installed the patio cover and had a rep. come out to see if he can fix the problem caused by Mark. Mark had created two holes on top of the patio cover and ran a wire up one hole and down the other. He did not put the wire in conduit, leaving it exposed to the elements, and he did not even attempt to caulk the holes. I'm now having to bring in another electrician to correct Marks terrible work. In addition, Mark installed a 50 amp plug in my garage for my Tesla charging cord and now I am receiving a message indicating the wall plug temperature is high and I need to have the plug and the wiring inspected.
