After reading several negative reviews, I was a little wary about having lunch at the Stone Harbor bar and Grill. Our experience was just fine. Service by Angie was very good. She was friendly and attentive throughout the lunch. The steak size onion rings appetizer was very good. The Reuben sandwich was huge so we split it. The meat was slightly dried out and it could've used more Russian dressing, but the flavor was very good all in all. It also came with fantastic homemade chips. read more

I placed a take order for the taco salad and a soup, simple enough. Paid to park and walked inside. Staff were friendly but evidently a little forgetful. The restaurant has a cool vibe located in a little mall area. Returned to where I was staying to find no utensils, no dressing for my salad and the soup was wrong. I would have gone back but parking is a pain in the ass and who wanted to pay again for parking. Went to WaWa and picked up utensils and dressing. Food was decent. Nothing to where I would have posted anything about it. read more

The atmosphere was really nice, clean, and welcoming. Our server was very nice, and the staff was flexible when we asked to switch from a high-top to a booth. They also have chocolates when you walk in, which was a nice touch! There's also a bar area with football games playing. The food was just okay. The iced tea wasn't great, and while the nachos came with a lot of food, there wasn't much cheese and the beef was very plain. The cheesesteak was okay, but the fries were not good, and the cheese was kind of just lopped into the middle instead of being spread over the top. Overall, a nice place with a good atmosphere and service, but the food could be better. read more

This place is a staple in Stone Harbor: a great place to grab a quick meal, or just sit at the windows with a drink and people-watch. They have just completed a million-dollar renovation, and the entire place looks amazing. I especially love the iridescent tiled wall and the map over the bar. Hubby and I shared the cheese steak egg rolls, and they were delicious. The cheese sauce was great to dip them in. Xavier was a wonderful bartender, and managed to chat a bit, even though the bar was quite crowded. Definitely recommend a stop (at least one) here during your Shore vacation! read more

Highly disappointed. We ordered the Pub, Cuban and Reuben. They all came with homemade chips The sandwiches were bad. The pub had a gravy sauce that looked like brown sludge. The Cuban used focaccia and the pressing was non-existent. The Reuben had no flavor. Service was good, but the food was one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. read more

One of the worst burgers and fries I've ever had. I ordered a medium burger which came out ice cold, extremely dry, and overcooked. The fries were the same - cold and hard. We also waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to be seated, even though there were many empty tables inside. My fiancée enjoyed her cheeseburger flatbread, otherwise I would have rated this place 1 star. read more

This restaurant has a new chef, who has truly turned around their kitchen. Food is good. HOWEVER, please work on your hostess stand. Every restaurant owner should know that your hostesses are the first impression of your experience, and this one did not begin well...and we were just getting takeout! The hostess in charge was extremely grumpy; it couldn't hurt to smile. After food being 20 minutes later than promised and the girls not even keeping an eye/ear out for our food to be ready (we had to keep asking, and they seemed shocked each time we prompted), there was not even a "thank you" or "have a goodnight". I'll go back and sit with bartenders, give them my money, to avoid interacting with their supposed "greeters". read more

We used to love this place and ate here several times during our week long trip as part of our regular routine. However since the remodel, it's too noisy with new stereo system. (Over 100 decibels) The food prices have increased .. we ordered the new scallops appetizer and we're excited to try it to find that for $24 we had scallops the size of a dime! Only four of them on the appetizer platter. Very expensive! The wings are not as good as they used to be. Overall, the atmosphere is incredibly noisy now and difficult to have conversation with friends and family. We were so disappointed during this last visit. We won't be keeping this into our routine any longer. read more

The chicken was dry and tasteful. I have previously had a chicken cutlet on my trip and was really turned off by that dryness so I specifically asked our waitress if it was a chicken breast or chicken cutlet. If it was a chicken breast, it sure did not have any flavor or moisture. My salad also was supposed to have pistachios on it. It did not. In my opinion if you were going to serve a meat salad, it should have more than one beat maybe some onions very unimpressed with that. it's funny as we sat down to a table in a very lively area. We love that someone walked by and said oh I heard that the restaurant above is so much better. Let's go there.. after my meal I agree read more

Stone Harbor Bar was a complete disappointment. Our server, Angie, was flat-out rude, disrespectful, and had a terrible attitude from the moment we sat down. She was pushy while we tried to order and made the whole experience uncomfortable. We ordered four sodas -- $17 for just that -- and because of her behaviour, we decided to cancel our food order entirely and walk out. When a server treats customers this poorly, it ruins the whole restaurant. Terrible service, outrageous prices, and zero respect for customers. I will never go back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

This is our go to place! The food never disappoints, all the staff go above & beyond and the place looks & feels amazing since the renovations. 10/10 no notes. Great vibe read more

The Reuben was delicious. The cheesesteak was amazing. The wings come breaded which is a bummer but they were still pretty good. Worth stopping here for the sandwiches and quick service. read more

This is one of our favorite spots. They've renovated since we were here last summer, and there's now a beautiful hostess area along with upgrades throughout the first floor. The variety and food is always good for our group, and the staff is consistently attentive and friendly. The magician who is regularly there is awesome! Your kids will have a fun night if he's there. read more

Best Habanero Mango wings I've ever had. Awesome cheeseteaks and club sandwiches as well. Our waitress Taylor was an absolute sweetheart. Nice ambience. Very clean. The only con is they have Guinnes tap but no pint Guinness glasses. Other than that really good read more

Good service, not the best ambiance or food tbh. Prices are jacked up - seems like it being owned by the Reeds ruined a good go-to spot for the summer. Back deck and location is literally the only reason why this isn't a 1/5. Hate to say it. read more

Have a drink at the bar, and eat elsewhere. Service was haphazard, and the food looked better than it tasted. The steamed clams were FILLED with sand and when I advised our server, she just shrugged and walked away. Cheesesteak was dry with hardly any cheese, turkey burger and chicken tenders were likewise very dry. Lobster bisque had no sherry in it and tasted like canned tomato soup with two little pieces of lobster. Wings and tuna bites were good. The day we were there the beer taps weren't working but not a big selection of drafts in any event. read more

I left a 5 star review about this place a few years ago. Been coming here 2-3 times a year since 2013 on our visits to Avalon. Still like the atmosphere, bartenders and food, but I must downgrade to a 3 star review for the outrageous drink prices. $15 for a simple Tito's Vodka and club soda and $14 for a very small decaf coffee with Baileys?? You got to be kidding me. And both drinks were a very weak pour. Yes I know Stone Harbor isn't cheap, but Fred's Tavern right down the street charges $7.50 for the same Tito's and club and they have live entertainment to boot. Our bill was well over $100 for 2 chicken cheesesteaks and 4 drinks. We may have to re-think our choices next Stone Harbor Visit. Sad. read more

Stopped by for dinner while in town. The place got decently busy. We opted for a chicken cheesesteak, cheesesteak, and the spiked peanut butter milkshake. The subs were decent. The in house chips didn't have much flavor, I left those pretty much untouched. Now the spiked peanut butter milkshake was absolutely delicious. 100% recommend giving that a go. Our server Anthony was great! read more

Service was fine. Food was just very below average. It's a cute spot but you need to know what to order, food-wise. Don't get the taco salad, roast beef or pub grill. Those are what we overpaid for. I'll keep going back because it's a great location in SH. Maybe the nachos or burger would be ok! read more

I like this place and the service was very good. The burger was really good and the seeded roll was a nice change. Nice 8 oz patty cooked medium with sautéed onions, mushrooms and bacon. The 96 th street burger is its name , recommend. The crab cake sandwich was also very good on the seeded roll. They claim to have Atlantic City rolls do I need to come back soon. Nachos were decent, standard bar nachos but the salsa was excellent! Salad was good s as bad the shrimp was really good. read more

I was there tonight for drinks and appetizers. The bartender was awesome and the reviews I've seen are unfounded as far as I can tell. It's definitely a bar and grill, but the food was decent and the service was terrific at the bar. I'm actually leaving this review because of all the bad ones before mine because I think this establishment has gotten a bad rap. Is it a gourmet restaurant... No, of course not. But if you want a good burger or some lettuce wraps and watch a game and some drinks, this is the place to go. read more

I recently dined here and my experience was quite underwhelming. Despite its prime location and inviting atmosphere, the food left much to be desired. We ordered The Pub, the City Grille, and the Taco Salad. Unfortunately, none of these dishes impressed us. The Pub and the City Grille, in particular, were disappointing. The Taco Salad was mediocre at best. Also, it's a bit wild to pay extra for fries but may have been worth it because the chips were not great. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was the loaded fries. They were good and easily the highlight of our visit. Given the high prices and the overall quality of the food, I cannot recommend for the food we ordered, but we had a lovely server and quick service. I would also have loved to see more fun beers on tap! read more

Went in for lunch, it was not very busy. Service was on the slow side. Ordered appetizer and lunch at the same time. It took a fairly long time for the app to come out. The appetizer was Ahi Tuna Bites. They were incredibly good, however, very pricey. $19 for 4 pieces. I would say it should be closer to $10 or put in at least 8 pieces for $19. Ross Rueben was very good along with the 96th Street Salad. We would go back again, but probably wouldn't get any apps, as they are all priced high $$. read more

We were really excited to try this place after the positive reviews and the varied menu. We ended up getting seated ahead of the predicted time which was nice. Now i understand restaurants are short staffed, and this is probably the busiest time of year. The amount of time it took to get our food was not okay. First, it took forever to first order with our server and then 1 hour and 15 minutes for us to get our food which is absurd. No apologies given, no comps for the inconvenience. The clientele needs to be better managed so people aren't waiting so long. Maybe turn some people away if there is not adequate staff to cook, serve. Also, the air conditioning was blasting directly on us. You could tell other tables near us were also cold. We asked if it could be lowered and were told no the manager doesn't let the staff touch it. . Despite the long wait, the food was very very good and the portions were a nice size, which made the experience a little better. read more

Been coming here over the years on occasion, through the change of hands. Enjoyed a delicious hot roast turkey on toasted rye with thousand island dressing on a breezy coolish day for lunch. Our seat had a pub atmosphere mixed with an outdoor patio type feel because we sat at the open window ledge over looking the shops, which was fun! Cole slaw would have been a nice addition to this sandwich though!! The potato chips were the brown burnt kind I don't particularly care for but on occasion I don't mind and worked with this sandwich; the pickles were nice and crisp which is VERY important to me, loll! read more

Located in the center of town, the Stone Harbor Bar and Grill are the king of wings in this locals eyes. The wings have a wonderful crunch to them and are offered in a variety of flavors. The Grill offers seating inside and out and large friendly bar as well as counter to people watch. The drinks are delicious, and no skimping on the liquor. Service is quick and efficient. They offer a large menu, with something for everyone. Try the cheesesteak egg rolls, or the pot stickers both will set the vibe to a wonderful time whether traveling alone or with family and friends. The people that work there are absolutely miserable! The food was decent but the service ruined the experience Edit: tried again in aug 2022 and it was as bad as it was the first time. We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite and watch some college football after spending the entire day drinking, and came across Stone Harbor Bar & Grill. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two friendly employees at the host stand. The restaurant was fairly crowded, but they told us they will do their best to get us seated right away. A few minutes later, we were seated at a high top in the bar area. The restaurant has a ton of TVs and definitely has a casual, sports bar atmosphere. The draft list is pretty decent and there is a cocktail menu as well. For food, we started off with the coconut shrimp appetizer. Although it only came with 4 shrimp, they were pretty big so it was a good portion for an app. The app also came with some kind of sweet chili sauce for the shrimp and that's what really made the dish. We decided to just do chicken cutlet subs for our meal and I got the chicken parm. It was just okay..the sauce kind of tasted like it was straight out of the jar, but the roll it came on was good! Don't really know why there are so many bad reviews of this spot because we had a good time and we'd definitely come back! read more
