I've been going to Jen Anderson for a couple years and she's always done AMAZING things for my hair. She does what's in the best interest for me and my hair health. I like more warm toned and natural colors (see the pics) and she always does exactly what I ask for. Same with the cut, I've tried several different hair styles with her! You know those horror stories where it's like, "Oh I asked the hair dresser to take 1 inch off and the person took of 3 inches" lol? That does not happen with Jen, she does exactly what I asked for. And she's super sweet too. I had some health issues where I lost some hair and it was really thin and brittle, and she helped me through that as well so that we could keep my hair as healthy as possible. She also does my mom's hair and she has short, ear length hair with blonde highlights and auburn lowlights! We came here on a Monday after going to two other salons and both being closed. I was looking to get a haircut for my 8yr old, they had picture day at school the following day. It was a last minute decision my daughter was getting her 2nd haircut ever after 4 years! She was so excited but soon that took a twist when both salons were closed! I was googling Modesto top salons and ran into stone fox I saw it said -kid friendly so that was a plus to me and didn't hesitate plus they have 4+ rating stars When we got to the salon Jen was there, luckily !!!! To our coincidence she was there to cut her sons hair for picture day, she explained to me they were not open because they didn't have any appointments that day and she was just dropping in to cut her sons hair. We exchanged conversation and she offered to cut my daughters hair before doing her sons! That was so sweet and thoughtful especially with a super busy momma. After a careful search of area salons to find one that was clean, organized, with a highly-experienced and knowledgeable staff, I chose Stone Fox, and it certainly did not disappoint. I found this establishment to be very clean, well-organized, with a relaxing, mellow atmosphere, and Tricia did a FANTASTIC job from color to cut to styling. She listened thoughtfully and attentively to my desires and concerns, and proceeded to skillfully work her magic...the result? Imperceptibly natural-looking highlights to brighten up my tresses, a sleek cut, and lessons on how to style it smooth or wavy, with brilliant shine. Jeni went above and beyond for my family. I called on a last minute whim, and got a call back from Jeni! She accommodated the time I needed and was so easy to talk to! My daughter is very sensitive about her hair, as she has lost it 3 times due to cancer. It's been a struggle to find someone who can connect with her and help her gain trust. From the moment we walked in the door, Jeni was joking with my kids and building that relationship. She took time to educate, laugh and really listen to what she had to say. My daughter left more confident than I have ever seen her! She also took time to cut my own hair! She gave me top notch service, suggested products that would work for both of our hair and made sure to show us exactly how to use them for the absolute best looking hair! My schedule is very hectic. It is difficult to find time to get into a salon. I was in desperate need of a haircut and had an unexpected day off. I contacted Stone Fox Salon based on their great reviews and their availability on Mondays which was wonderful because most salons are closed on Mondays! A hairdresser named Megan contacted me right away and was able to see me that same day! The salon is super cute and has a great feel to it Megan was awesome! She gave me the haircut I have been trying to achieve for over a year! She is very knowledgeable about hair and does an amazing job! She really wanted to make sure I loved my hair and gave me her contact number and told me to contact her if I needed anything about my haircut changed. I definitely don't need anything changed but I will be contacting her again for color if you are looking for a great new stylist I highly recommend Megan! read more

Let me just start by saying that Jenni is an amazing hair stylist and knows what shes doing. I have had many Bad experiences with hair salons but she definitely took all my worries away as soon as I sat down in that chair. She is very straightforward and will tell you the best route to take and she is very informative with every move she makes to your hair. I cannot believe that she made my hair look the way that it does. After getting my hair done by her I will never go to another hair salon again. Overall she is a pleasure to meet and does very good work. She definitely gained a client today, I am very happy with the services she provided. I LOVE everything about this salon! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and warmth, you feel so welcome...not to mention the decor is just divine. Tricia is AMAZING and has been doing my hair for years and I've never been disappointed. Tricia is great at everything (cut, color, style, conversation) and is so fun to bounce style ideas off of. I usually get several colors put in my hair and it turns out fantastic. Jen May has some major talent. Very skilled at what she does. Throughout the process of coloring and cutting my hair, she kept checking on me to be sure it was what I was wanting and how I was feeling about it. Even when I was fine, she said come back if you feel it should be lighter. She asked me to be very honest about my needs and if I was satisfied. I have gone to Stone Fox Salon three times now with Alec and I am beyond thrilled each time I leave. Alec is JUST what I have been looking for in a stylist. He is amazingly flexible with helps SO much since I am a mother of two small children. Stone Fox salon and especially KarRen, is the most amazing salon I have ever been to. The entire staff is phenomenal and friendly and I could never express how amazing our experiences were. Let me tell you how happy I am everytime I leave Alec's chair!!!!! Recently I decided to dye my hair dark brown because my blonde roots where growing out and I trusted no one on the east coast except Alec. So a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
