As soon as I saw that they had pool tables they had me hooked because I've been traveling for work and all I have been wanting to do is play pool so it was nice to go into an actual billiards for once and play pool people wanna play pool I didn't try the food, but I saw the food coming out and it looked goodthe ambience was nice. The pool tables were nice. The bar was nice. It's a very big bar so you can walk around and get

So disappointed! Stopped and got a chef's salad to go, got home and ended up with a ROTTEN EGG in my salad

New Mexican Pastrami with fries- Loved it!

Great food, good service! Enjoyed a quick lunch with friends. I had the New Mexico Pastrami sandwich. It was big! The bread was toasted nicely, pastrami was juicy and a lot of it. Came with a side- I chose fries. Hot and crispy. Great meal.

Nachos have size on their side.

My first time, can you believe that? Was it as clumsy and quick as my first time with..., well, no, but close! Look, from this rookie to the next, you'll dig the decor! You'll most likely dig the food! You'll definitely dig all of the TV's to watch your chosen game on, but a las, you'll not dig the service much. Oh, and to clarify, the nachos are humongous! We ordered a half and it sure looked like most full-size nachos at other joints. However, in a personal attempt to cut down on beef we ordered chicken, and unfortunately it was absolutely tasteless. Zero flavor! Here's an extremely annoying glitch: they charge extra for just about everything. Yet they don't tell you that going in. When asked if we wanted jalapeños we kind of hemmed and hawed about it because neither of us are huge jalapeño fans, so the gal said we could have them on the side. After the bill came we understood everything. The jalapeños that we really didn't even want in the first place was put on the bill as an extra. Guess what? Not only were the jalapeños extra, so was absolutely everything it seemed all the way down to the buffalo sauce that we ordered on the side rather than being served soaked on our wings. Reading the bill was akin to reading "War and Peace." Here's another extremely annoying glitch: not a single glass or plate was cleared from our table as we emptied them. They were Johnny on spot up-selling us everything they could to get that bill as high as possible (management is clearly pleased with that part), but when it came to the required work that makes the customer feel more comfortable and actually want to come back, they utterly failed! To be honest, I'm not sure what type of joint they want to be and who they want to appeal to. The place seems to cater to an older crowd of folks in their 40's and on up, which is nice, but the waitresses dress like tramps looking to swindle dimwits out of extra tips under the guise of a potential "Hookup." Don't get me wrong, I enjoy looking at scantily dressed women like any other man, however, the ruse is as old as the Bible! Men tip a slutty looking woman more than a conservative looking woman. Statistics prove this, so I get it. However, is that the goal here? To lure in single (and married) naive men who throw their money around aimlessly? Or establish an environment where customers feel like they got their money's worth and want to come back? Because if it's not the latter, aren't their strip joints men can go to for the same treatment? Maybe it was an off night for the staff on this visit, and other nights it's not like this, IDK. However, I'm not sure I'm willing to find out. If you other newbs want to give 'em a go, I highly suggest you make up your own mind. And when doing so, please weigh in. Cheers!

We came here on the recommendation of a worker at Sandia Peak Tram. I have to say that we were not impressed with the food we ordered. I got the enchiladas with Spanish rice and beans. The shedded beef was not seasoned at all. The green chile sauce did not help the taste. I didn't like the rice and beans. The fish and chips meal was not that great. I got a bite of the fish and it didn't please me either. Was more like frozen fish you could buy at the grocery store.

Staff are friendly and the environment is fun. Ordered enchiladas the first time I went, but won't do that again because there are many better places for those. Salads here are good and would also recommend the green chile soup. One friend ordered a cocktail but said it was weak. The billiards area in the back is nice, clean, and quiet. Went with a group early on Saturday night. The main room where drinks and food are served was packed by the time we left at 9:30pm. Seems to be a popular hangout.

    Bikini Wednesday...

Stoneface Tavern is a very interesting and large bar. On one level it's kind of like a Biker bar but it also has several sand beach volleyball courts and play a wide range of music including Tori Amos, which I can't see bikers listening to Tori Amos. They might but it just seems interesting if they do. There's an outside patio, inside bar, and another bar that's in between outside and inside. Beer is the main alcohol selection here however they do offer other kinds of liquor as well. Because I don't drink beer I often get a mixed drink. Each time I've been here, my mixed drink has been pretty weak and not very strong. The food here is pretty good and the portions are pretty large. Also the prices aren't bad. A couple of my co-workers came here and ordered salads which were huge while I had the classic burger and fries, which was very well prepared and tasted delicious. Another co-worker also said that they liked the fish and chips. Wednesdays are bikini Wednesdays with my inner feminist hates that however it is Tastefully done so ladies , you won't feel uncomfortable there. This is definitely a bar that can attract regulars and once you come you may become a regular too.

Sunday Lunch at O'Neil's - Ticket #27…read more Our Sunday lunch at O'Neil's started promisingly but unfortunately fell short on service follow-through. We were seated quickly at 12:05, and our server promptly took our order and brought water, noting that our food would be "out right away." That seemed reasonable, as both items we ordered -- the corned beef and the turkey jack sandwich -- are typically straightforward and quick to prepare. However, the timing unfolded quite differently. By 12:20, one of our glasses was empty, and no straw had been provided despite an earlier request. When the server checked in, I asked again for a water refill and the straw; both were finally delivered, along with another assurance that our food was "coming right out." At 12:30 -- twenty-five minutes after ordering -- the server again repeated that phrase, only this time adding that "some things take longer than others," even though tables seated after us were already eating. Our meals finally arrived at 12:45 -- nearly forty minutes after ordering. To the restaurant's credit, both dishes were excellent: the corned beef was tender and juicy, and the turkey jack sandwich tasted freshly made and served hot. But while the kitchen clearly delivered on quality, the front-of-house experience did not match that same care. The repeated "right away" comments, the lack of proactive attention, and the absence of even a brief apology for the delay made the experience feel inattentive.O'Neil's has great food potential, but stronger time management and more genuine communication from servers would make a world of difference.

Not that a pub doesn't serve food, but it's not a pub and feels more like a heartless corporate pub too. Like an airport lounge. With a patio... a peaceful patio against the street... The stranded bartender alone behind the bar looks to you panicked, as you enter the restaurant area looking past the two and four tops to the bar stools. First, I have gone to this place off and on for several years. I find it a nice change of pace from the rest of the world. Second, it is a little funky, even for Albuquerque. The owners seem to want to be "Austin like." In a funny sort of way, I think it gets there. It reminds me of the All-Good Cafe in Dallas. Maybe if there was some live music ala All Good, it would seal the deal. Food was good. It was served hot. Everyone got their orders around the same time. Two in the group are vegetarians. The menu had options for them to choose from. I had the Klasic Kosmic Burger with cheese and bacon and a side salad. The salad was big enough to share or have as an entrée. The burger was a little overcooked but good. Lots of bacon!! Next time I will split the order with my wife. My wife had the fish and chips. She could not eat the whole meal and brought some home. The spudnik fries were terrific - hot with a crunchy outside. Two in the group had the afghan rice. They thought the dish was good. Beer and wine is served. Parking is easy and plentiful. The place has patio - I look forward to summer afternoons on the porch. Overall: good choice. Lot of good feedback from the Loungers.

The one knock on the place was the service. It was friendly enough. There just wasn't enough of it. Every time we needed something, it was around a 10-min wait in line. To order, to close out, etc. Not really because it was overly crowded. It just took a really long time for those in front of us to be helped by the one person tending bar at the time. Oh well.
