We had dinner to celebrate our daughter's graduation from nursing school. They greeted us with a congratulatory card for her. The ambiance is wonderful, cozy, and comfortable but not too loud. Our server was attentive and knew the menu inside and out. The food was delicious and beautiful. We had the Parker House rolls hot from the oven with an amazing onion butter with chives. We shared the beets with whipped brie and had Red Snapper, Pork Belly, and Jaegersnitzel with a side of potatoes. The wine and beer lists were excellent. The portions were not huge but the quality of the ingredients and flavors were outstanding. read more

Such a great experience! The hostess seated us, party of 9, right away (and had our reservation, always a plus). The service was on point throughout our 3 courses and no one ran out of a beverage. The atmosphere is so cute, perfect lighting and very clean. The food was excellent...everyone loved their selection and we had almost everything on the menu. Small bar for those that want to come enjoy a cocktail, too. Love the simplicity of their menu too...every dish is done beautifully! Highly recommend! read more

How the heck did we not know about this place? We absolutely love farm to table restaurants, a favorite is Abejas in Golden and now we found Stone Cellar.. it was just a wonderful evening. We started with the Foie Gras.. melt in your mouth deliciousness.. followed by the lettuces.. a perfect combination of buttery lettuce with peppery lettuce accents, creamy blue and tart/sweet apples. I had the cod entree.. need I say I could bathe in the beurre-blanc.. but the creme de la creme was the duck entree. It was one of the best duck preparations I have ever tasted.... a perfect medley of salt, fat and acid... a lovely dish... but alas.. it was not my entree and my partner was fine with sharing a bite or two... next time.. I will order the duck. The generous serving of buttermilk ice cream topped off one of the best meals I have enjoyed in the Denver area. The service was top notch too.. and the wine selections were good. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will be back!! read more

The drinks are good and the atmosphere is beautiful. We did not eat apps - nothing drew me in with 2 beet options and other odd... The entre's were all $30 or so which I felt were very expensive. We left and tried another Old Town restaurant which was delicious read more

Fabulous dinner. Trout amazing. So fresh farm to table. Definitely recommend!!! So glad that Olde Town has this fine dining option.

We stumbled in on a Friday evening at 7:30, the restaurant was full, asking the hostess hey do you have a table for three without a reservation? Panic ensued on her face, as she said one moment, running over to the bar and setting us up with a three top on the corner. This was very much appreciated and not at all expected. For being so new, it was a shock to see how busy it was and the casual atmosphere present for what I thought incorrectly to be a pretentious atmosphere. The staff were knowledgeable, passionate and attentive. The food was what appeared to be locally sourced and attentive to detail, and the bar had a nice selection of craft cocktails and beverage selections. All in all, it was affordably priced and a great experience. Come show this new local restaurant some love! read more

As residents of Arvada, we like to support local businesses and especially new ones such as the Stone Celler Bistro. Initial reviews were 4 to five stars so we went there for dinner last night. We were seated promptly and our waitress was both very helpful and friendly. The menu was limited but interesting and creative so was the choice of wines. We decided to share an appetizer and have two main entres. Appetizers: Most of the appetizers had sweetness to it which we are not fond of; so we chose Baba ganoush with pita bread since we love Lebanese cuisine and there are a couple of MiddleEastern Restaurants in Golden which have authentic recipes. Sadly the version here had no resemblence to the real thing; was bland and barely saved by stewed tomatoes and pickled cucumber (but not Lebanese style). Main Entres: My wife had trout and I had chicken breast. While my chicken breast portions were good size and it came with some orange and white sauce with grated pistachio; chicken well-cooked but bland as were the sauces. The trout was nicely cooked but was a small portion with broiled small onions. Again, very little flavor and lack of use of fresh herbs. Wine: While limited choice of wines, the prices were all on highside but it was pleasant. Dessert: We decided to try and chose Coconut Cheesecake with a side sorbet. Sorbet was nice and Cheesecake was OK except it was largely bland. Conclusion: I hope this will inspire the chef and owner to diversify the menu and if offering international cuisine, please learn to do it right. The total bill of over $150 was pricey considering the food was not great. read more

Stone Cellar Bistro - Foie Gras!! - New American Near Me - Arvada, Colorado

Fine dining menu. Fine dining prices. Not fine dining atmosphere. Crowded-in seating and noisy. Took my wife here for our anniversary and we could barely hear each other when we spoke. Nothing against people partying, I was just expecting a much different vibe. Food was just OK and we constantly had to shoo away flies from our table and food. As long-time Arvadans, we wanted to go local but our dinner was a big disappointment. read more

The food was amazing. Nice combination of small plates and entrees. Service was friendly and attentive. Page, our server, was a delight. Ambiance is smart but casual. Also the signature cocktails are definitely worth it! read more

FINALLY!! A great restaurant in Arvada! The food was amazing. Our party of 6 ordered the fried chicken, snapper, roasted chicken, and pork as well as several salads and the foie gras. Every dish was outstanding.the desserts were also delicious. The only criticism I can find was that the cocktails need some work. Can't wait to go back! read more

Amazing food and friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommend for any special occasion or just to spoil yourself.

New spot in Old Town Arvada! Pros: Rotating chef developed menu which is a treat! From the appetizers to the in house pastry chef you can't go wrong with anything you pick off the menu. Charcuterie is a solid appetizer start with selected cheeses, meats and the most amazing house made mustard. Experienced mixologists behind the bar creating craft cocktails and ambiance. Nicholas is happy to take your likes and make you a personalized cocktail. Staff culture... they stand behind their craft and want you to have the best foodie experience. Cons: None...beyond excited to have them here. read more

The company I work for is located in Arvada, so we frequent Olde Town Arvada when we come to town. This restaurant is not to be missed. I took some clients that were visiting and we had one of the best meals ever. The menu does change, and everything is sourced locally. We started with the Foie Gras Parfait (Highly recommend this), Stone Cellar Crispy Fried Chicken (Its really good from someone that lives in the southeast US), and charcuterie board. Everything was outstanding. For the main course some had the chicken breast, steelhead trout, and I had the NY Strip. Our table enjoyed everything we ordered. It was so good. Do not skip dessert! We had a selection of the nightly desserts and OMG. They had one that is the adult candy bar, 3 layers of varying mousse with sour cream ice cream. Yes I said sour cream ice cream. It was soooo good. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff was incredible, we even met the owner and dessert/pastry chef who was willing to share a recipe. read more

Stone Cellar Bistro - Charcuterie Board and Crispy Fried Chicken - New American Near Me - Arvada, Colorado

Went out with two of my woman friends to try this new restaurant in Old Town Arvada and couldn't let it rest about the unattentive and arrogance of our server (Rob). Our server told us he would take good care of us and make sure our first dining experience at Stone Cellar would be amazing. One thing that was amazing was the food! Gourmet all the way, however, for the price and it is pricey there, the portions were small, including the pours of wine that start out at $15/glass. Despite the price, my friend's wine order was screwed up twice, yet when Ron swirled and sniffed all of our glasses of wine he adamantly stood by his claim that the pallet changes taste when eating new foods with wine. We all tasted each other's wine, criticized the color being different than another friend's wine who ordered the same type, and when the hostess heard us talking she turned and asked if she could help and provided my friend with the correct type of wine, nice gesture, Rob should have fixed the problem given it was the 2nd time it had happened. Needless to say, the hostess should have at least poured a half a glass of wine, instead the new glass she poured amounted to about a 1/4 of a cup! That is just cheap and not a good way to build your customer base. Rob clearly had his attention on other tables and customers. Rarely checking in on us, when we asked for pepper it took him way too long as our salads sat and we waited for him to return, he filled our water once at the very end of our dining experience. When we decided to order two additional apps, he said the kitchen might have closed, but he said he'd check, how about a little notice like our kitchen we be closing in such and such a time, can I order anything else for you? What felt like I'm going to take care of you, sit, relax, and enjoy, we were basically rushed out of the restaurant. I've lived in Arvada almost 30 years, witnessed businesses come and go in Old Town before it's current rise in popularity, and one thing Stone Cellar should realize is that as a new high end restaurant in Old Town they better get service right! Never were we asked if there was anything the restaurant could do to adjust the bill or offer a complimentary dessert. Our bill came to $215, this included a 5% fee to pay the back kitchen staff + tax. We had 6 glasses of wine and shared 7 appetizers + one dessert. We all tipped 20%, but I can't say I'll go back when there are so many other options for fine dining in the area. Kudos to the chefs, but management needs to work on making sure customers leave feeling satisfied and willing to come back. For gals like us in our 60s who have money and are looking for a fine dining outing, sorry Stone Cellar you blew it! read more

This is a really wonderful restaurant. The food selection is out of this world!! I've enjoyed happy hour, dinner and brunch and I can say that it is without a doubt the best restaurant in Olde Town Arvada!!! Great place to share with good friends. read more

The food is spectacular. We tried every entree and each was amazing. Red Snapper currently featured is the perfect crisp refreshing summer dish. Charcuterie plate was excellent- don't shy away from the mustard and berry puree, both are scrumptious. They have an Argentinian Malbec by the glass right now that is quite stunning. We'll be back very soon. Good service as well. Keep up the good work. We've needed a fine dining option in olde town for a long time, and now we have one. read more

Best restaurant in Olde Town, hands down. Service is top notch. Food is crazy good. Nice wine list as well. The crispy chicken is seriously the best I've had. The black pepper crackers are like miniature croissants. Don't pass up this opportunity. read more

Good addition to olde town Arvada. Staff was excellent. The peach appetizer was great.

We were headed to another restaurant when we walked past this place. Looked at the perfect 5 star rating and said we'd try it next time. After getting chips and salsa from another restaurant and not liking them, or the atmosphere, at all, we decided to close out the tab and come to the Stone Cellar. In short, it was the right decision. Both my wife and I thought it was the best meal we ever had. We got the rolls to start. They were excellent and came with a beautiful green butter. I got the fried chicken and chips. The fried chicken had such a beautiful crispy skin with an amazing cayenne hinted seasoning. The chips were light with a perfect crunch that I was not expecting, but were incredible. My wife got the roasted chicken breast with veggies. The chicken breast also had a perfectly crisp skin on it and amazing flavor. We finished with the peanut butter pie, which the owner described as if a peanut butter cup went to college lol. It was a perfect analogy and was, well, also amazing. The pie came with a dollop of whipped cream and ice cream. The ice cream was not very sweet and the three together created the perfect flavor profile. Again, we both thought it was the best meal we ever had, and the service was excellent. There is a large window overlooking the kitchen which is very clean. You can see the entire staff working together with a positive energy. Go try this place! You won't regret it. read more
