We were ignored upon arrival,no friendly greeting and stood there awkwardly while the girls finished a riveting conversation and one absentmindedly fumbled for a few menus and mumbled without eye contact "table or booth ok?" We said table was fine and she dropped menus at first table she came to and spun on her heel and the waitress promptly asked for our drink order. The waitress was nice and gave us good service .She said she was new.Shes the only reason the place gets 2 stars. She returned with drinks promptly and took our order .Husband orders a NY steak with o ion rings and salad bar.I ordered lasagne with salad bar. Salad bars can be dicey but this one was well done and everything looked ok.i also tried some chicken rice soup...it was tepid ,mushy and flavorless. The eggs were on salad bar were mushy.Spinach was getting slimy .Croutons were actually good!As was cheese. Steak arrived rare not Medium as ordered .Onion rings good.Dinner roll stale. To my horror the lunch size lasagne arrived in a bowl swimming in orange grease.Flavorless and mushy.Noodles were mush.It was awful. It was the meaning of despair and broken dreams.i gave it a few bites but couldn't do it.I munched on some crackers and the waitress took it away admitted it looks awful and removed it from our bill which was appreciated. We paid our bill , which you apparently do at the hostess table like a fast food place sort of?tipped her 25 percent and she offered us to go drinks which we declined since it was a short trip home. If I could leave a half a star. or even barely a star I would. This is the most horrible managed,…read moreworst attitudes by employees I've ever seen call themselves a McDonald's. 3 years and I've yet to get a thank you after I got my order, let alone they don't even look you in the face! just horrible attitudes. every promo literally barely lasts a week and you have to drive to the town just to partake in the promo item. like what's the point?! they ran out of the grinch stuff in literally not even 2 weeks in and was so rude about the situation they hand written signs saying they aren't coming back they are out.. like why leave the promo signs up then? now.. they bring the McRib back and they can't even keep those in stock! like what in the absolute hell is going on with this place? to add.. I ordered a sandwich and added a tomato. it was like 20-40 extra cents more and the tomato wasn't even the size of my thumb nail.. ordered a McRib and I've ordered those since I was a child I know what comes on them.. 3 pickles and 3 onions. these idiots put one pickle on it and it's so tiny you don't even taste it. the onions look and taste like they been sitting there all day. and it's slivers.. and they can't even base the meat correctly.. how the fuck you mess up a McRib? u twirl a piece of meat in a pan. you put it on the bun (not sideways) and u add pickle and onion and wrap it up.. not hard. the manager of this establishment needs replaced and FAST your employees and their attitudes reflect back on how they are taught to be towards their guest. morning, mid, nights it's all Ass. I wouldn't care if they shut the entire place down entirely until they can hire people who fit the standards of a restaurant who is the face of the Ronald McDonald house. these sorry excuses of "employees" and poorly lead managers give every thing this company stands for outside their food a very bad name. And for fuck sake how hard is it to throw a straw in the bag and change the damn syrup in ur drinks? take pride in what you do for Christ sakes. literally the absolute worst McDonald's I've ever been to and I'm sadly forced to only have this shit hole as a option as it's the only one in our area close to home. Gonna have shitty food atleast have good customer service. can't have both.

Food is *always* on time, the ambience is calm, almost serene, and the service is ***unrivaled***.read more

Howdy folks. How's everyone on Planet Yelp doing? Well, I'm not quite sure how to even begin this…read morereview as I wasn't even sure if the place that I'm going to write about even existed anymore. I'm talking about the good ol' American country roadside bar. So put on your helmets and strap on your safety belts cuz we're about to blast off and head into the deep south. I was actually in Tennessee visiting a friend of mine, fellow 1st Amendment Activist Silent Citizen. For whatever reason we decided to drive to Kentucky and ended up in a little town called Scottsville. Unbeknownst to us, we were actually in a dry county. So unable to find a bar there, we headed back towards Tennessee and that's when we discovered the Sugar Grove Tavern in Westermoreland. If we hadn't of been paying attention we probably would have missed it. It's located just a little more than a minute beyond the state line and I ain't joking when I say that this is about as backwoods and rednecky as it gets. So let me tell you all about it right now. From the outside the Sugar Grove Tavern reminded me of that biker bar in Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure. That's the scene where Pee Wee Herman entertains this motorcycle gang by dancing to the song "Tequila." That's exactly what this place reminded me of. Although I didn't have any plans of doing any dancing here. The first thing I noticed when walking inside was an array of Confederate flags hanging from the ceiling. See I told you this place was rednecky. That really didn't bother me. After all, I was a huge fan of the television show The Dukes Of Hazzard growing up. So if you can be a fan of the TV show where the main characters drive a car called the General Lee that sports a Confederate flag painted on the roof, then who really cares. I mean after all, we ain't in Yankeeland anymore. So Silent Citizen and I walk up to the bar where we are greeted by the bartender. She wasn't Daisy Duke. But she was a nice country gal none the less. I planned on going with my usual, which is a margarita on the rocks. But unfortunately I was informed that they don't serve hard liquor in this place. Oh darn it. I guess no margaritas for Nasty Nathanial tonight. So I ended up going with the next best thing. A Seagram's Escape Pina Colada flavor. What a manly drink. After paying for a drinks, we decide to go outside and admire the scenery. We ended up making friends with some of the locals, which included a dog named Bruce, who were hanging out on this cool Friday night. That's when I knew that I had really landed my rear on another planet. Everything from the way these local country boys talked to the things that they were talking about, was so different and foreign to me. But I don't mean that in a bad way. They were all super nice and welcoming and treated us as if we were one of the good ol' boys. One of them was this heavyset guy with a hat and a beard who reminded me of Cooter from The Dukes Of Hazzard. Yes I loved watching that show. But this guy really did remind me of Cooter. He was going on about all the women he gets which I had my doubts about. But hey, it's not like I've been on a roll in the men's department lately if you know what I mean. Wink, wink. So what do I know? At one point, I started to mention something to my friend about my latest flame, Silence Boy 1st Amendment. That's when he had to quickly remind me that if we were going to be talking about those kind of things, we would probably have to get step to steppin' soon. I decided to take my friends advice and put Silence Boy back in the closet of my mind. But eventually we would have to get to steppin' and get back on the road. I was almost kind of sad to leave. I know some of you reading this may think that I'm being facetious. But I really did dig this place. Even though it was backwards and rednecky, the people here really did seem genuinely happy and seeing that brought me back to a different point in my life. At least in my mind. That, or maybe it was the Seagrams. Well, I don't think so. Those things aren't that strong. So I think I'm going to wrap this review up by saying that if you ever find yourself in Westermoreland, Tennessee and want to have you a cold one before you hit that dry county across the state line, I suggest you check out the Sugar Grove Tavern. You won't be disappointed. If you are, then get to steppin' over to Kid Rick's overpriced crappy bar in Nashville. Until next time, may the country be country and the bar serve margaritas. We were not bothered by that but some people may certainly be bothered by it. The waitress came to the table and asked if we needed a menu, she brought silverware and asked us what we wanted to drink. It appeared there was one waitress and one cook. We brought our drinks and asked what we wanted to eat and I said I wanted to pancakes with bacon and the I said are you sure are pancakes are really large as she motioned to about the size of a plate. I said yes I want two of them and I could have done without the eye roll at not taking her suggestion. The hubby ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns, and sausage. She brought out our meal and asked if we needed more coffee or tea. It was a good breakfast and there was plenty of food to eat. We left there satisfied and I am sure when we are back in the Celina, Tennessee area we will stop in here again.
