First and last visit to the Grecian yesterday afternoon for lunch.It was a quiet afternoon and fully staffed .Large parking lot on both sides,meh decor with a few weird greek like statues above the salad bar,tvs playing football games.Tables were clean .Bathroom needs some work it was ok I've seen worse.The kitchen is behind the salad bar. We were ignored upon arrival,no friendly greeting and stood there awkwardly while the girls finished a riveting conversation and one absentmindedly fumbled for a few menus and mumbled without eye contact "table or booth ok?" We said table was fine and she dropped menus at first table she came to and spun on her heel and the waitress promptly asked for our drink order.The waitress was nice and gave us good service .She said she was new.Shes the only reason the place gets 2 stars. She returned with drinks promptly and took our order .Husband orders a NY steak with o ion rings and salad bar.I ordered lasagne with salad bar. Salad bars can be dicey but this one was well done and everything looked ok.i also tried some chicken rice soup...it was tepid ,mushy and flavorless.The eggs were on salad bar were mushy.Spinach was getting slimy .Croutons were actually good!As was cheese. Steak arrived rare not Medium as ordered .Onion rings good.Dinner roll stale. To my horror the lunch size lasagne arrived in a bowl swimming in orange grease.Flavorless and mushy.Noodles were mush.It was awful.It was the meaning of despair and broken dreams.i gave it a few bites but couldn't do it.I munched on some crackers and the waitress took it away admitted it looks awful and removed it from our bill which was appreciated. We paid our bill , which you apparently do at the hostess table like a fast food place sort of?tipped her 25 percent and she offered us to go drinks which we declined since it was a short trip home. This concluded our experience at The Grecian.Or so I thought until 1 am and it got its revenge until 4 am.Hard pass on this one! read more

We went to dinner with friends and the food was good and service was good we enjoyed ourselves.. we will definitely return ..

We cruised over from Lebanon, just out for a drive and looking for something that was not Mexican food. The Yelp rating was at 2.5 stars and we were a little hesitant to try it. I am so glad we did. The steaks were great and our server, Lilly, was phenomenal. The salad bar was well stocked and fresh, it was just missing blue cheese dressing. Yes the interior is a little dated, and it does not have the ambiance of a five star Nashville restaurant, but it doesn't have the prices either. The food was good, the prices were reasonable and the people were great. We would come back, and definitely think they should be in the 3.4-4 star range, and not where they were. read more

Too often, the food is really not good... They got rid of the buffet and get rude when asked about it. The decor is dated and faded. I am not sure why the quality dropped so badly but between rude staff and hit or miss food... It is quiet sad. read more

We love eating here. The seafood buffet (available on Friday and Saturday nights) is a big hit, as are the chicken strips and the teriyaki chicken. The salad bar is good, except they have a habit of not keeping fresh lettuce out. The restaurant is clean with several tables and booths available. They also have high chairs when needed. The prices are reasonable, and the majority of the staff are friendly. There is one tall lady (I don't recall her name but I believe she is part of the management) who has been a bit snappy both with the customers and her coworkers in the past, but it's not disruptive enough to stop us from going back. The place is a local restaurant for home cooking, and calling it a "steak house" is a little off. Stick to down home favorites - burgers, cheese steak, the club sandwich - and you'll have a nice little meal. I go there fairly regularly when I visit Lafayette and I've never had a bad meal there. But if you go there expecting "steak house" quality, you're going to be disappointed. Not exactly why it is named "Grecian Steak House" but the food isn't terrible and I can't figure out if these negative reviews here are honest ones or not - maybe they are from people who came in with really high expectations instead of merely looking for a local family restaurant. read more

The food is very mediocre and the wait staff that I've ever had is lazy and rude. I have no idea how this place is still open.

The 2nd worst place I have been in Lafayette. The ribs were terrible. My Mom said , "You know you're in trouble when you can't tell the meat from the bone." Even the mashed potatoes were horrendous. Dry and not enough milk or butter in them. Corn overdone. The salad bar was standard. The cake on it was dry And no frosting. The waittress in back kept yelling over to our waittress. Totally unprofessional People were complaining at the table behind us. We told the waittress and all she said was sorry. No manager. No ambiance. Don't waste your money or time. read more

Poor food an very poor service took forever to get our food an it was over cooked an had no flavor what so ever.

I have eaten here quite a few times. It is an eighty mile round trip and I am happy to make the run. Good steaks, great spaghetti and the Sunday Buffet is well worth the money. Time to go back !!!! I see some complaints here and I am not familiar with the business they are complaining about. Doesn't resemble The Grecian I go to in Lafayette. read more

They are the best stake house, they are experts in what they do, lasagna one of my favorites

The food is bad. I mean really bad. Never eat the plastic shrimp on the buffet! I have no idea why it's called Grecian. There was nothing Greek or good on the menu. read more
