Food is consistently good. Huge serving of red beans and rice with good flavor! The Cajun club is a great go-to. The Shrimp Poboy is always packed with plenty of shrimp.

What a positively enchanting establishment! The atmosphere crackles with charm, the service is delightfully attentive, and every moment feels carefully orchestrated for one's enjoyment. It's a rare pleasure to find a venue that understands the art of hospitality so thoroughly. The food is also exquisite! arrived with modest expectations and departed thoroughly impressed. Five stars, without question. I'd recommend it to anyone with an appreciation for quality, refinement, and a touch of spectacle!

Roux's Creole brings the flavors of New Orleans to Gallatin through an extensive list of po-boys (sandwiches). We stopped in for a quick dinner bite, and as much as I enjoyed the food, I will focus on eating lunch here. The red beans and rice flavors were well developed. The bread of the muffaletta was amazing, crunchy crust and fluffy insides. Great sandwich.

I went here a few times, and the food is so good! I like coming here with my family. The employees are always nice. Sometimes you have to wait for your food, but it's worth it because it comes out nice and fresh. I also like the New Orleans vibe; it's pretty cool and fun. I recommend coming here for sure.

    Shrimp gumbo

$8 shrimp gumbo with 2 tiny shrimp ... Yelp said it was closed but they were opened, we thought we'd try it. Very disappointed. The andouille sausage is more like kielbasa ...

Great Cajun food. The beignets remind me of Cafe du Monde. But I still miss du Monde. Plus, they do not have an LSU flag.

If you're going to put "Burgers" front and center on the sign at M. L. Rose Neighborhood Pub,…read moreyou're basically planting a flag. You're saying, this is our thing. This is what we do. Bold move. So I walk in thinking, alright, these folks have chosen their lane and they're cruising in it. Server comes over and asks how I want my burger cooked. Not prompted. Their question. I say rare. Now we're in business. Expectations go up. Burger hits the table. I build it out, get everything lined up, take the ceremonial first cut... Brown. All the way through. Not a hint of pink. Not even a rumor. This burger wasn't rare, it wasn't medium, it wasn't even medium-well. This thing had been thoroughly introduced to fire and then reintroduced just to be sure. I'm sitting there deciding if I just accept my fate when the server steps in, sees it, and shuts it down. Credit where it's due, she wasn't letting that slide. Manager comes over, apologizes, and asks again if I want it cooked through or with pink. Again, their question. I stick with rare. Let's run it back. Second burger arrives. At this point I'm less diner, more detective. Cut into it... and somehow, impressively, we have achieved the exact same result. Brown. Uniform. Committed. If consistency is the goal, congratulations, mission accomplished. Manager sees it this time. Offers a third try. I decline. I'm not here for a burger trilogy. I tell her I'll eat it as-is and we can all move forward with our lives. But wait, there's more. My colleague orders the bacon cheeseburger. Key word here being bacon. Not implied. Not optional. Literally in the name. Burger shows up... no bacon. At this point I'm starting to think the menu is more of a suggestion than a contract. Look, I don't get it. If you're going to ask how a burger should be cooked, cook it that way. If a burger has bacon in the name, maybe... include the bacon. Just a thought. Now to be fair, the fries were actually good. Crispy, seasoned, showed up and did their job like professionals. And the front of house staff tried. You could see the effort. They cared, they responded, they did everything they could to fix what was coming out of the kitchen. So here's where I land. Three stars overall for service, effort, and fries that understood the assignment. The kitchen gets one star. Not because they failed once, but because they proved, twice, that they can consistently ignore both temperature requests and basic burger ingredients.

It has the right feel and appearance now, and the young country boys who staff the joint are friendly, helpful and attentive. The place is well lilt and there is ample parking. Due to the location on the eastern edge of Gallatin, they're distanced from competition and thus the prices are a little higher than what you'll find in Hville or Nashville, but nothing outrageous. Part of the renovation was the inclusion of cigars and a walk-in humidor, but on this portion I think they underperformed. The humidor is small, the selection limited and the prices high. I'll still give them a try because the discount tobacco store a few miles away often has dried out cigars, but I found the $3 a cigar premium offensive. What is most disappointing to me about this location is the background music selection. Every time I visit they are playing gangster rap style music. I've complained about it. I mean, this is redneck central. This isn't even the hipster side of Gallatin. There are more trucks than minivans on this side of town, more tractors than you can count, and you're more likely to see the Stars and Bars being flown from a Ford F-150 than than the Yankee flag, and yet the staff tells me the owner insists on playing music that would be apropos in Bordeaux or Memphis. It's a minor thing, but indicates to me the management doesn't understand their demographic. I've asked the staff about it and they say the prefer Hank Williams or Johnny Cash, but the owner insists. So, note to owner: fix your music selection. Granted, the ghetto is geographically close, but your 'other' clients spend more per visit.
