Service was slow. A girl in her early 20s with tattoos on her hands threaten to spit in our food.

Staff is very friendly and the food is good. Great fried catfish and reasonable prices.

Wonderful people who serve wonderful comfort food. I enjoy this place everytime I go in. The catfish is the best you can find anywhere.

Honest review: The…read morefood here is great--no complaints at all. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadows the experience. On our visit, we had to wait far too long for basic things like drink refills, napkins, and chips and salsa. To top it off, our server literally threw the bill on the table and said, "have a nice day." This wasn't our first visit, which made the experience even more surprising. Hoping it was just a bad day, we came back the very next day for lunch. That's when things got worse. We were told that as repeat customers, we were "taking advantage" of the chips and salsa and were limited to three bowls--even when dining with a group and spending over $150 on a meal. When we spoke to the manager, he dismissed our concerns and even commented that my husband eats too much salsa. That was honestly one of the most unprofessional responses I've ever heard. Great food, but the service and attitude toward loyal customers are extremely disappointing.

This unique Mexican restaurant is inside the American Legion Post 62. Apparently, they rent the…read morespace from the Post, and everything still has a cool Veterans (military) vibe. It was kind of odd because it was country music on the radio and not even a hint of normal Mexican restaurant decor. The chips and salsa was very, very good! Salsa tasted so fresh, and chips must be made as needed because they were so warm and flaky. The food was really good and inexpensive. They offered lunch specials; I had the #4 (1 taco, 1 enchilada, and beans and rice). My wife had the #1 Chicken Chimichanga. Our friends shared and enjoyed the Grande Quesadilla. All in all, we were very pleased. Just a random stop along our travels with a surprisingly good ending.
