This is the best Thai-Laos restaurant in the DFW area! They have a second location at Cityline Richardson but we go to the Murphy location. We love to order Tom Kha and crab fried rice. You can't go wrong ordering anything from the menu. The service is very quick and they are very well known for their to-go service. I recommend calling them directly and placing your order. They have a lot of parking and there is usually no wait if you want to dine-in. This is a mom-and-pop shop so I would recommend this place for a family dinner because of their quick service. They are very family friendly and they have large tables for big groups and ample lighting.

    Goodness I.

We had a great experience here! Unfortunately one meal had to be remade due to the rice being burned...but they handled it very well. The restaurant was pretty empty and service was good! I'd come back and try something different!

Sticky rice is a local staple for my family. It is so close to our house and they always serve consistently good Thai food. The service is always good here. We ordered chicken pad kee mao, tamarind shrimp, Panang salmon, spicy catfish, and ginger shrimp. The pad kee mao was loaded and I liked how they sauces the noodles. This was my first time trying the tamarind shrimp, it has a good crunch and the tamarind sauce was good as well. The shrimp is huge also. The panang salmon was really tender and accompanied by a flavorful curry with pieces of avocado. The spicy catfish is one of our favorites, we order it every single time. The fish filets are almost fall apart good, especially coated in curry. I love pouring the curries over my rice and eating the bell peppers and onions too. This is one of the best restaurants in Murphy

Yummmm!!! I had the combo Pad See Ew and a salt and pepper squid + shrimp. Absolutely delicious and a big portion that leaves leftovers for dinner! Win win for me.

Ambiance here is kinda average "strip mall" stuff. Not great, but not bad. The concrete floor and high metal ceiling make it a bit loud when busy. Service is good. They could do better at clearing the table toward the end but I was able to do that myself as the adjoining table was empty. We were having a bit of a family gathering as our son and his fiancé had been on a trip to the Dominican Republic and wanted to do a show and tell. A table full of dirty dishes was not desirable. Now for the food. It's some of my favorite Thai food anywhere. It may run just a very close second to Noodle Wave, but doesn't have the issue of being halal, so you have more choices on the menu with the addition of pork. I had a spicy catfish dish that I have had before, and it's just fantastic. Spice levels are true to what I imagine is a "Thai heat" scale: 1-5. 3 was very spicy!

Always yummy! A cold day and mom was craving pho - pleasantly surprised! The beef dishes (Mongolian beef and garlic beef) were good, fried rice was yummy but spicy! Service was good but they're always busy so takes a second to get the food out that's all.

Yum yum!! First time visiting Sticky Rice and most definitely not my last. We ordered herb pineapple fried rice, the chicken pad Thai (both meals with extra egg, bc why the heck not), dinner portions. When I say these sizes will FILL you up! I've already had some of my leftover noodles, gave some to my one year old and husband, and STILL have enough for another meal now waiting for me safely in the fridge. Only thing I would change is the heat level. I went with mild today. I have no idea why. I grew up eating injera, I know spice. I'm bumping up to like a level 4 or 5 next time. The mild was a bit bland but nothing a little bit of sriracha and soy sauce didn't fix. Lovely customer service for a takeout order and the inside is quaint and intimate. The Thai Tea is sweet sweet sweet, I had to water it down a bit but wow was it delicious. Next time I return I'm getting the tom yum soup. And more kick in my noodles. Peace!

Honestly this place was pretty mid. The box of pad Thai was all spilled everywhere. It also had kinda a weird taste. Drunken noodles were pretty good. Nothing crazy but nothing bad. HUGE PORTIONS which is definitely a plus; considering how expensive it is, I'm glad they were this big. Crab Rangoon's were a miss. They are like egg rolls but not crispy enough that we threw most of them away. I'd probably recommend Tahn Thai over this place.

Made a 45 min drive to try their food. Ordered the food one my way there and was told the wait time is 45 mins and it took close to an hour. They were busy with dine in and to go orders Ordered 1. Curry fried rice with tofu spice level 5: Extremely dry fried rice, zero soy/salt made it all the more difficult to eat. We had to stir fry again with soy sauce to eat 2. Pad Ke Mow with Tofu Spice level 5 : This was decent extremely spicy. Will try the level 4 next time. 3. Herbal Chicken Fried Rice Spice Level 5: This was the best item we ordered. I enjoyed it. Not worth the drive and wait, might give it another shot if I am in the area

It's tucked away and attached to a small Lao grocery store, which honestly made it feel even more authentic. The moment we walked in, it felt like we were about to get a home-cooked meal. We ordered the organ soup with sticky rice, beef lahp, and nam khao, and everything was absolutely delicious. The broth in the organ soup was rich, clean, and deeply flavorful, exactly how it's supposed to taste. The sticky rice came out warm and perfectly chewy. The beef lahp was bright and herbaceous with the right amount of spice and lime, super fresh, and tasted just like what we've had in Laos/at family gatherings. And the nam khao was crispy, tangy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they don't cut corners on ingredients here. What I appreciated most is the authenticity. A lot of other reviewers mentioned that this is one of the few places in Texas where the food tastes "just like home," and I completely agree. Multiple people also mentioned the friendly staff and how the market side carries essentials and hard-to-find Lao/Thai items. We felt the same way, everyone was kind, and the grocery section is a nice bonus for anyone looking for snacks or specialty ingredients. Portions were solid, prices were fair, and the quality was amazing. This is exactly the kind of spot you hope to find when traveling. If you want real Lao food, skip the trendy places and come here instead. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Texas. Highly, highly recommend.

I ordered the basil fried rice (spice level 2) and the pork fried crispy rolls. The spice level 2 gave the rice a subtle kick - noticeable but not overwhelming - which is just the way I like it. The basil fried rice was packed with egg, bamboo shoots, baby corn, mushrooms, bell peppers, white onions, fresh basil, and garlic. The flavors were balanced, and the portion size was VERY generous - this was way more than single meal for me. The crispy pork rolls were also very good. They were filled with pork, green onions, glass noodles, carrots, white onions, and cabbage, and served with a thin sweet & sour sauce that complemented them nicely without being too heavy. Even though I ordered them as an appetizer, they arrived midway through my meal, so not the best timing. The fountain machine wasn't working, so drinks were $2.50 for a can of soda with no refills. That felt a bit steep for a canned drink. I count that as a downside of the visit. Overall, the food was flavorful and generously portioned. With small improvements on the drink situation and meal timing, it could easily be a 5-star experience.
