Upon two visits some fairly extensive culinary satisfaction has been realized. Both times I eagerly enjoyed the Pad Thai while dining in, along with a couple of chicken eggrolls. Each time I also ordered their pineapple fried rice to go. I added chicken and shrimp to both of these dishes even though the Pad Thai comes with tofu. These portions are large. So even though my bill is around $40, I can take home and eat up to four times for that money. Now days that's not bad. Service and ambiance are good. read more

There was no spice whatsoever, no tamarind, no peanuts, no green onion. Bland, gummy noodles piled with bean sprouts and tofu on top, gelatinous on the bottom. This place is amazingly good and delicious. We came in right before the dinner rush but kept ordering so much food that we ended up leaving after many other families. The Tom Kha soup was the perfect meal as both me and my boyfriend were coming down with a little stuffy nose. We asked for 0 spicy level and it was great. Honestly, just the soup and rice would have been plenty for us (rice is extra). We got shrimp blankets as an appetizer and they came out pipping hot. The fried rice was also really good but a little too spicy for me (we got 2-3 spicy level). I've tried numerous curries, noodle dishes, appetizers and desserts over the years from Sticky Rice. I enjoyed the experience, as it was the first time I have been introduced to the cuisine. I find the fried rice entrees to be very spicy when ordering a little spicy, and the curries to be only a little spicy when ordering a little spicy. That isn't a problem for me, though, but just something new customers may want to be wary of, which is to be on the safe side if they do not like spicy food. read more

Food is ok, specifically the Pad Kee Mow and Pad See Ew have decreased in quality recently. Very oily compared to how it was before. The service however is terrible. I have specifically had terrible interactions with Tiffany at the front. It seems like anything you ask is a bother, even if it's just a side dish you wanted to add to an order. read more

Food is pretty good but service is always shotty. Waiters will look at you like they're questioning why you're dining here, and do such infrequent passes to check on you, even when it's not too busy. Even when coming in with 40 minutes before closing, All chairs are on the table. Asked them if they were still open and all the hostess could say was "Uhhh...." until a waitress put down a couple chairs and served us. Gave us the check within 5 minutes of food on the table. Go for lunch hours before closing or apparently you won't feel welcome here! read more

Sticky Rice is a definite monthly go to spot for dinner! The food is authentic, well seasoned and DELICIOUS! There's no need to add any additional sauce to the food. Extra chili oil if you want more of a kick to it. The portions are large and worth every penny you pay. Our favorites are chicken or beef pad thai, beef pad see ew and pineapple fried rice. We can feed a family of 5-6 people with these 3 orders. Level 2 (mild-medium) is a good spice level. Level 3 spice is - so if you can't handle spicy, stick to level 1-2. I recommend calling in and placing your order. There's usually a wait of 30-45 minutes for pick-up, but we don't mind it for good food and service. The restaurant recently reopened the dining area for dine-in. Very clean and friendly staff. Great spot in Murphy,TX for Thai food. Give it a try if you haven't! read more

I called for 2 orders of crab fried rice. The rice was not fully cooked and raw. I called the restaurant and they agreed to make another one but I had to bring back one order that I have not touched. Anyway, they replaced ONE order even though I paid $35 for 2 orders. Going home again with the re-made fried rice , it was the same thing (rice is still not fully cooked). This is ridiculous. Really Great food! My all time favorite is the Herb Fried Chicken. Comes with fried rice and chicken pieces that have been breaded and fried. I like spicy so I order it hot level 3 and afd hot oil or level 4 and its plenty hot enough! I usually get 2 meals out of it unless I'm really starving then i eat it all and am miseribly over full for hours. The portion is large. I was disappointed the Dining Room was still closed. We were out of town for several months and came back to find their dining room is still closed. They mentioned they might be opening the DINE-IN again sometime possibibly in September. read more

It wasn't bad and it wasn't the greatest. The broth was tasty and that is why I'm giving 3 stars. Cause of the Pho. Would I return?? Likely not. Beware: the serving sizes are large. 2 plus servings per entree. Even the Tom Yum soup was more than enough for 3 to 4 servings. Or order was delivered and it arrived as promised. The Crispy Rolls appetizers are well done. I had the pork and my wife had chicken. Both were full of flavor. The Pad Thai with chicken was full of flavor as was my Pad Kee Mow. Hands down the BEST thai food in the DFW area. I came across this restaurant a couple of years ago around their opening, and the quality has not deterred one bit. My go to orders would be the Pad Kee Mow and the Herb Chicken Fried Rice. Pad Kee Mow is my usual order at Thai restaurants, but none have been able to compare to Sticky Rice's. The fried chicken that comes with the Herb Chicken Fried Rice is pretty unique and adds a good twist to an otherwise traditional fried rice. I would be cautious with the spice levels, as a 5 on the Pad Kee Mow is quite spicy while a 5 on the fried rice considerably mild. This time around I went ahead and tried the Pineapple Fried Rice with Tofu and Pad Kee Mow with tofu. When the dishes came out they had a lot of tofu compared to when ordered with meat. Nonetheless, both dishes still tasted fantastic. I believe everyone that even remotely enjoys Thai food should try this place out, you will not regret it. read more

I used to love this restaurant. It was the closet thing we had to Thai food in Wylie/Murphy. Covid came and nearly out this (and many other) restaurant out of business. They went takeout/delivery only. Finally, this year, they opened up for dining in again. Great! Today, though, my wife and I dined in for lunch. The crispy egg rolls were okay, but the sauce they served with it was overly sweet, like it had a lot of HFCS in it. Otherwise, they were good. Our main courses arrived, and they looked... different. Keep in mind, these were the same entrees we get frequently. The green curry looked a bit odd, but to my taste it was okay but not as good as it used to be. I am vegetarian, so sometimes it is hard to find Thai food that fits my dietary needs. However, the employees at Sticky Rice were accommodating and friendly with the modifications I wanted. Came here while on a trip to see family. I had been craving fried rice. I love pineapple fried rice. Ordered online, which was amazing. Wish more places offered this service. I arrived and the food was ready. Don't have any comments on customer service due to the fact that they simply asked my name and handed me my food. Food was okay. The rice could have had more meat and less cashews and raisins. I wish I could give this place more stars but the food gave me an upset stomach for 6-7 hours. For dessert the sticky rice with mango. Every single thing we ordered was fantastic.
