If you're looking into a dealership that is very pushy and does not respect your communication, then this is definitely a place for you. I was in the market to look for a new vehicle & I came across this dealership online. They did have a car that I was interested in, so I set up an appointment. On my way to my appointment, my car broke down from the freeway. Also, I was coming from close to 50 miles away. I informed the dealership about my situation and I had 2 different salesmen messaging me: Noah & Cesar. My car actually had broke down on the side of the freeway where steam was coming out of my car. I understand that Noah desperately wants to me a sale but he would not respect or understand my situation. He only wants to make sure he put money in his pocket. That being said, it's completely up to you if you want to work with them. I haven't even step foot into that dealership & I definitely know I will never do so after this experience.

1 Star - Stay away from STG Auto Group Bought an Acura RDX here on 3/13/26 and it was hands down the worst car-buying experience I've ever had. They lied about add-ons being mandatory, claiming we needed them to get a lower interest rate. That's not true. I even found paperwork during signing that clearly said the add-ons were optional. When I questioned it, the salesperson literally admitted he doesn't like working there because of how they do business. They also told me dealers can't mark up interest rates in California anymore, which is false. Later, someone from their team accidentally confirmed the bank approved me at a LOWER rate than what I was given. We put $5,000 down ($2,700 cash), and they refused to give a receipt for the cash. The car had a brake issue the SAME DAY we drove it home (braking on its own + warning light). It's now been in their shop for almost 3 weeks with: no updates conflicting stories constant runaround I was hung up on by their finance manager and even dealt with someone who gave me info and later turned out they have me a name of someone that did not even work there. This place has zero integrity. Just pressure tactics, lies, and terrible service after the sale. Save yourself the headache--go somewhere else. These guys are scammers: Sales: Georgio (should be how you spell it) Sales Manager: Anthony (bald with tattoos on his neck) Financial Manager: Chris A. (Very childish when speaking to you, over talks you and hangs up on you mid conversation) Fake guy: Tony Suarez

I had my Porsche Boxster S for sale on auto trader for 52k. Jackson who works in the office offered me 48k and we agreed on 49,750. Lie number 1. Because we agreed on that price I took my car to sell it to them driving 30 minutes each way to get there. They kept me there 2 hours and came back to offer me 47,500. So right off the bat I was LIED to again. Then they offered me 48k and I left. I hate liars. So two hours later I get a call from the manager Klaus, saying the reason they changed the offer was because the transmission had a leak. Funny there's NEVER been a puddle under my car. Then they said the two back tires were different, big deal, they're expensive speed rated tires, a chip on the windshield (another LIE), and "many costly repairs" All total garbage to get the offer low. Jackson wouldn't even come out to talk to me. I was told that the repairs will cost too much to do so they're just going to sell it AS IS. What a crock of shite. This is classic bait and switch. I brought my car back the next day and sold it to them because I didn't want a hefty repair on the transmission which is very suspect. They low ball and lie. NO ONE came out to talk to me, not even Klaus. I'd call that UNPROFESSIONAL... BAD customer relations. I brought an important document of MINE for them to COPY not KEEP, instead Sammy kept it. I need that back by the way. Will I get it? Probably NOT. Fits in with the rest of my experience here. I would say, BUYER BEWARE. I read other reviews before going and they're very bad, (good thing I wasn't buying anything). I can see why. The best customer service there was their free soda. They have nice cars and a LOT of vultures, sales people, on the lot. When I got home I had a text asking me to remove my bad reviews. So I changed them with brevity in mind. I am waiting for the check to clear the bank. I don't trust LIARS. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone because I was lied to. Look at the other reviews to see how they treat buyers and decide for yourself. I feel sorry for the person who buys the Porsche because they said they're not going to fix anything they had issues with. AS IS BUYER BEWARE. Shame on you STG for your shady business practices. I would NEVER buy a car from you. This is based on my experience and their bad reviews. I've owned a lot of cars in my long life and STG ranks up in my top 3 WORST auto dealers. My suggestions: better customer service and less time on your computer, dress professionally, don't walk around VAPING, stay with your customer during the transaction and don't lie to customers. I'll never return. Now they're selling my car as is with all the issues. BEWARE OF THESE CROOKS. IT DOESN'T HAVE A SECOND KEY because I lost it and look at the damage on the bumper and wheel they didn't fix. Mismatched tires still there? Ya.

Do not bother trying to sell here, they will waste your time. Had my wife come in at 11:30 and told her it would take a hour, ended up being much longer. When she got there they made her wait for their lunch break to end, and then had her run to different parts of the building to get help and still had to wait another 30+ minutes on top of that. She took time off of work to come in just to lowball us on very minor cosmetic that would be expected with a car at 98k miles when we had said the major issue over the phone which was a small chip in the windshield and still had a agreed upon price before agreeing to come out to avoid this exact situation. She asked for the inspection report and told her they sent it to me and sent her on her way, all I received was an updated offer with the new lower price. Unprofessional and rude to my 9month pregnant wife. (UPDATE: so after blowing my phone up trying to get a deal done they finally offer a additional $200 for disrespecting my wife/wasting her time and so we agree upon the price and they ask for my wife's number to call to confirm. They call her and they sit there on the phone with her ranting getting upset with her for 5-10minutes just to say they won't go over 11k again. Thanks for wasting our time even further)

Ok so this place is awesome if you want to sell your car to them. I was approached by Mohammed and Hazem over text for $21k on a car with 91k miles. The interaction with them even before walking in was super respectful and they were very patient because I couldn't sell right away. But even though they weren't there when I walked in, their colleague Danny helped me out with the deal and he was as great as Mohammed and Hazem. They do real inspections of the car. And when they come back, they show you pictures of the problem. And they tell you an offer. I asked if they can do more and they did budge a bit more but couldn't get close to the original $21k offer due to two issues I wasn't aware of (so that's very respectable). they also didn't significantly drop their offer NOR did they make it sound like you had a trashy car , just because of the two issues (one with the tire and leaking axel ). The process is easy. 45 min inspection. Paperwork took another 30 mins, negotiating can increase your time there. You sign all the documents to allow them to do the dmv paperwork. And don't worry if you have a lien on your car, they do the math and cut you the check based on what you owe and they handle it with your lender. They are very friendly and super nice. The facility is super clean and welcoming. They had the TVs set to the World Cup matches. read more

I've had an oil change scheduled for about three months. I arrive and have been told it'll be a two hour wait. (what's the point of having an appointment?) I try to get the manager to prioritize my vehicle due to an appointment, she got frustrated and irritated with me. This is the service department. So if I were you skip the free oil change and pay at Jiffy Lube. Save yourself two hours read more

Just for an oil change, I waited over 3 hours with little to no communication unless I asked for an update. Every time I've made an appointment here, I'm never actually seen at my scheduled time. I'm a very understanding and patient customer, but when it's consistently hours past your appointment, it becomes frustrating. I'd say if you schedule any service here, don't plan anything else for the day because you'll likely be waiting a long time. It's better to come expecting a full-day wait. The staff is nice, and I do appreciate the service advisors, but I'm just being honest about the wait times. read more

It's really no surprise that at this time they have a 2.6 star rating. The car buying experience is great. It's after you leave that they are no longer accommodating. We were promised a bumper repair upon purchasing the vehicle. Vehicle was purchased in January and we have yet to be able to get a hold of anyone to schedule repairs. It is frustrating to be sent a text saying "what can we help you with" and when I respond, that is the end of it. When I call, I am on hold for no end. Even that our salesman hasn't followed up once to even see how we're liking the car is unfortunate. Makes me reconsider recommending it to others. Please listen to your reviews and make it right. read more

They can improve by not lying. The price of the vehicle goes up as soon as you sit down. They added $10,000 onto the price. They wanted to charge extra for the wheels, tires, gps and more. I refused it all. When they finally agreed to not charge me for it. They said they use one bank to finance. I filled out an application and my credit alert texts when crazy. 8 credit inquiries in a few minutes. I walked out on them and they called for days. I had to block them. read more

I recently purchased a Porsche, and this was, without a doubt, the best car-buying experience I've ever had. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and incredibly efficient. Christian and Rene, the manager, went above and beyond to make everything easy and enjoyable. Their positive energy, honesty, and knowledge immediately stood out. There was never any pressure--just genuine guidance, transparent communication, and exceptional customer service. They respected my time, answered every question, and made the entire experience seamless. It's rare to find a dealership team that truly cares about its customers, and Christian and Rene exceeded every expectation. They made buying my dream car an exciting and memorable experience. I couldn't be happier with my new Porsche, and I highly recommend working with Christian and Rene if you're in the market for a vehicle. I'll absolutely be back for my next purchase and will be referring my friends, family, and clients to them. Thank you both for an outstanding experience! read more

WORST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH!!! They gave me a guaranteed offer on my trade in and they wouldn't make a deal for the new car over the phone they were insistent that if I come in they will do what they have to do to earn my business so I drove 2 hours to get there just for them to pull out on the deal last minute. They had me there for 3 hours negotiating cause they wouldn't honor the offer and they kept manipulating the contract acting like they were going to give me better deal when really they were just moving money around from one fee to the next like I wouldn't notice so in reality it was never a better deal. I recently called about getting an oil change (today on June 9th 2026) and the next available date for an oil change, nothing more, is on July 15th, 2026. Thats well over a month without being seen. This place is absolute TRASH. The lady I spoke to over the phone was eating the whole time, literally, who does that?? Customer service is a dumpster fire.... I was better off paying thousands more at an actual dealer. At least the buying experience and maintenance would've been better and faster. After 1 week of ownership I come to find I had BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS, FAILED WATER PUMP, AND BENT CONTROL ARMS. SHADY SALES TACTICS, NO PRE INSPECTION OF AUCTION PURCHASED VEHICLES. AVOID RAMY AND STG AUTO. I don't see how this "dealer" has any reviews higher than 1 star. I purchase a 2018 ford explorer with very good mileage back in 2023. I really wish I would have read the real reviews, but I did not. This dealers tactic to bring you in to see the car is a below market value price tag online: once you get to the dealer the price is marked up anywhere from 3-5k in dealer ad ons. Absolutely unnecessary. When I went, they said the car was on the lot. Well, it wasn't! It was at a different location and I waited 3 hours for it to supposedly arrive but actually never did. Then they asked if I wanted to go in and talk numbers while it supposedly was on its way. After talking numbers and learning that the price was not as advertised, I almost took my business elsewhere after not willing to pay for fake ads ons that weren't even on the vehicle yet. Well let's get to the next important part : Dealer agreed to drop price so I moved forward, upon arrival on the vehicle which was the next day inspected and found a lot of hidden small damage to the car. They said they would fix it which they never did, the also said the vehicle would arrive detailed because of my wait and it was actually very dirty inside and out. It felt like a big mind game going on with this salesmen and dealer. Because I got the car to my price and I liked the vehicle I decided to purchase it and go forward on my own financing which they pushed against. AFTER 1 WEEK WITH THE CAR I COME TO FINE OUT IT HAS BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS, PARTIALLY TORN SERPENTINE BELT, BENT CONTROL ARM, and a DAMM FAILED WATER PUMP. After further investigation I learned that this car was purchased from an auction and then sold. So what comes to mind is that STG MONTCLAIR never inspected the car before selling and did any necessary repairs that were needed. Thankfully I had purchased a warranty from an actual ford dealer separately which covered my costs. What did STG do for me? Nothing. They basically told me that was too bad and the car was sold as is. Guys, on top of that as I was originally getting an uber to this location my uber driver told me he bought a car from stg and it was a lemon that had nothing but problems. The signs were there before I even went to this dealer and my experience matches countless others. Avoid this place at all costs. I had a disappointing experience with this dealership. Shortly after purchasing my vehicle, I noticed that the engine did not appear to be in good condition, and the car began leaking oil on the very first day I brought it home. These issues raised serious concerns about the vehicle's safety and whether it had been thoroughly inspected before being sold. When I contacted the dealership and returned to discuss the problems, I was told that repairs would require additional charges. I attempted to follow up multiple times through calls and messages, but many of my concerns went unanswered. I was also very concerned by my interactions with the manager, Fernando. In my experience, I was told that my vehicle would not be repaired unless I removed my negative review. I felt pressured to take down the review in order to receive assistance with the problems I reported. As a customer, I believe vehicle concerns should be addressed based on the condition of the vehicle rather than whether a review is posted online. I am sharing my experience so that other potential buyers can make an informed decision. I hope the dealership improves its customer service, communication, and vehicle inspection process for future customers. read more

Completely dishonest and Renee the manager is a FLAKE AND A TERRIBLE MANAGER!!!!! They tell you everything you want and as soon as they make the sale it's crickets. They lie about the listed price, try too add things on, and then never follow through with what they tell you at the sale. I had to have the car shipped to me, ($2k delivery) the driver showed up after being called and given a heads up a day before and then the morning of and the driver showed up and no one could find the keys! I had to reschedule the driver and got the completed run around from these clowns. Now the car shows up and there's no temp tag now they're saying I couldnt register it on your state?!? The dealer is required to issue you a temp plate! AVOID THE HEADACHE AND AVOID STG read more

This place has such crappy service. We all know that car dealerships purposefully leave you waiting for hours so that you can get tired and not have the energy to negotiate a price on a vehicle. But this place seriously sucks. We came to purchase a car and we noticed that there was a sound that was made when shifting, they said they would fix it for us. So we took it to a mechanic after to ensure everything was OK and guess what? It had still $800-$1000 in repairs that still needed to be done. We tried to ask them to do it and they said yes but only if you guys pay 50%. So we asked them to knock off the $1000 from the price we paid and that we just leave and have it redone somewhere else. They countered and said they would only give us a couple hundred back. Would not recommend this place. To anybody. Not even if you live across the street lol My thing is, respect people's time. Just tell us straight up from the get-go what it is. "Yes, there are some issues with the car that need to be repaired, but we're only willing to meet you at $$$." Point made, we can all move on with our lives... Such a waste of time. read more

They'll say just about anything to get you through the door. They offered significantly more for my car than seemed realistic, only for me to arrive for my appointment and wait over 40 minutes. If you're curious, ask the people sitting in the lobby about their experience. Several mentioned what felt like bait-and-switch tactics. Once I realized what was happening, I took my car and left. Since then, they've been calling and texting me nonstop, even increasing the already unrealistic offer and insisting it would only be honored if I came back that same night. When I declined, they told me I was being unreasonable. The constant pressure felt very pushy and unprofessional. Even the manager called me personally. He asked how often I'd been contacted, then immediately tried to negotiate and asked what the lowest price I'd take for my car was. It was clear the high initial offer was just meant to get me in the door. Overall, the experience felt sketchy, overly aggressive, and not somewhere I'd recommend doing business. read more

This is a text response from someone I was dealing with at this company after I asked for them to be professional: Sure, so i tried to be friendly as much as I can but you want it professional. Alright, professinaly the numbers aren't helping to offer the same I'm doing since December. So YOU need to be professional and start the process that you requested. It won't need anything from you except uploading some paperwork that will be on your phone. So you can still make it abroad even. So that's not an excuse. Professionally, my offer has expired. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. My girlfriend and I came in to look at a car that was listed online at a specific price. They sat us in a room and made us wait while the salesperson did the classic "let me talk to my manager" routine. The manager came in, made small talk to build rapport, then told the salesperson to "give us a good deal." After more waiting, the salesperson came back with a breakdown that was just the same online listed price with a bunch of add-ons tacked on, no discount at all despite the whole performance. When we pointed out that this wasn't actually a deal and said we still wanted to look at other options before deciding, the salesperson literally got up, took the paper off the table, and walked away from us. We asked him to give us the sheet back and he kept walking and basically hid from us. We just left. Classic high-pressure sales tactics from start to finish. If you're not ready to overpay on the spot, they don't want to deal with you. Plenty of other dealerships out there that will treat you with basic respect. read more

The reason for the one star is the bait and switch tactics by this dealership. I understand dealerships need to make money on cars they buy. STG made me a very generous offer of 15,000 over the phone. I even verified whether my vehicle would be subject to reappraisal after inspection. I was told no, that it was "guaranteed," which led me to believe 15k was what I would get (lie #1). I made the one hour drive to Montclair and waited another hour for my vehicle to be inspected. I was then offered 14,700 due to a leaking shock, which I was unaware of, and brakes that needed to be replaced (lie #2). I know this was not accurate because I had the tires replaced less than 1,000 miles ago and was told I had 30 to 40 percent brake life remaining. At that point, I asked for my keys so I could leave. The inspector said he would speak to the manager. He returned 15 minutes later and said 14,700 was the best offer. I took my keys and left. Before I even reached the freeway, the manager called me. He explained why I should take 14,700 and said it was a fantastic offer, which I agreed it was. He talked over me and was very pushy until I told him to stop and let me speak. I explained that my issue was with the principle of the deal. He then went into a speech about how he is honest (lie #3) and trying to get me the best deal possible. We both explained our positions. I told him I understood he needed to make money and said, "after you fix the car, you're probably going to list it for 16 to 17k," based on similar cars on the lot. He responded that if he sold it for 17k he would make a huge commission, but claimed he was listing it for 15,500 and that there would be no profit after repairs. He continued to push, and I continued to decline the 14,700 offer based on principle. He eventually said he was not the one who texted me the offer, claiming he is just the inventory guy and does not deal with sales (lie #4). I pointed out that if he earns commission on a sale, then he clearly does deal with sales. I told him the statement was not honest and that it was fine we did not make a deal. Overall, I would not recommend this dealership as they wasted my time and fuel. They will find issues with your vehicle, and a "guaranteed" offer over text can change. just something to beware of when selling with STG. read more

I got an offer on the phone and we both agreed after back-and-forth conversation. I then decided to drive a couple hours for the offer and after 5 hours, inspection is done and the manager said I need four new tires. I showed the manager the paperwork from the dealer service that all four tires are good, but then he ignored it and decided to stick with the outcome. I ask him can you please show me how this is check. The car inspector came out and check with his tire checker. We check 2 tires. When he check it it was marginally on yellow and green. But when I push it, it was on green. tire thread checker need to be pressed firmly and since he was testing it on the side of the tire instead of the top, it's not accurate. I also ask him if he have another tire checker to verify just to double check his tire checker is not defective, but he never came back. Since I drove 2 hours and have been there for 5 hours, I had no choice but to take the offer which he significantly reduces the amount the was originally offer to cover for all 4 tires. If I ever have to do it again to sell my car, I would not sell it to them and just sell to Carvana. My car only has 6000 miles 2025 Almost new and tires need to be replace? From my experience, I would definitely not go through this hassle and selling my car there based on what I've experienced. Have your car check and tires check by tire place and bring your paperwork with you because they will try to find ways to reduce the offer. read more

I would not recommend relying on offers from STG Auto Group in Southern California, even when the offer is provided in writing. We drove approximately two hours after receiving a written/text offer of $24,000 for my Tesla Model 3. The vehicle is a one-owner, garage-kept car with low mileage, a clean vehicle history report, and no accidents or damage reported. It also has a professionally installed satin 3M wrap, which was clearly visible and part of the vehicle's condition before we came in. Before we made the drive, Klaus called me and confirmed that the $24,000 offer took into consideration the scratches and dings that had already been disclosed in the listing/photos. Based on that written offer and conversation, we made the trip. After we arrived and they completed their inspection, they suddenly said the wrap was an issue and lowered the offer to $21,000 -- a $3,000 reduction from the amount that got us to drive there. Klaus then stopped responding to my texts and calls while we were at the dealership. This felt like a lowball tactic after getting us in the door. It wasted hours of our time and was extremely frustrating. The customer service while you're there is excellent BUT once you drive off the lot it's a whole different story. Got my car on Sunday night Monday morning it wouldn't start the battery was dead, both of my key fobs were dead. Reached out to the salesman and he told me that these things happen! Service department had to have the car towed to them so they could replace the battery. Not even a week later I find out that the vehicle has a recall for the electric battery that could and may catch fire! Clearly they do not inspect the vehicles, they do not service them and they are selling them and putting peoples lives at risk for whatever commission is that they are making off of the buyers. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a lawsuit coming or already have some read more

We had a great experience selling our car to STG Group. Danny was fantastic throughout the entire process--professional, responsive, and easy to work with. When the initial offer came back lower than we were hoping for, Danny went to bat for us and was able to get a price we were happy with. The whole process was fast, easy, and stress-free. We really appreciated his effort and excellent customer service. Highly recommend Danny and STG Group if you're looking to sell your vehicle! read more

Awful place to buy a car. Not even a month after purchasing a car 2 service lights came on. I'm currently sitting in their service department going on 4 1/5 hours. Reception desk very lazy. I literally had to roam around the office to try to find a employee named April and then after I came back around to the service department, the girl was like oh it's in the back they're still running a diagnostic. I may be a women, but I know it does not take hours to run a diagnostic test. I had an appointment and watched people come and go all day and sat as patiently as I could and just waited. Don't waste your time or money here. So looking forward to whatever BS they are going to try and tell me. read more

Very sketchy place. Had us sitting in waiting room for 3 hours after taking our car keys and not providing the check. I believe it was due to the manager not wanting the check they were issuing to be cashed before 4pm. All they had to do was ask (it was a large check). Instead they kept stalling. Lots of odd people. Never going back. read more

I have bought 4 cars from STG Auto since 2024, and they have honestly been a staple dealership for my family. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall quality control have severely declined over time. This complaint is mainly about the condition vehicles are presented in at sale and the lack of follow-through afterward. When I purchased my Tesla, it was at night, and I will take accountability for not specifically requesting a test drive -- but one was also never offered. The car was delivered with scratched rims, empty brown coffee cups left inside, and despite keeping me waiting an additional 45 minutes for "detailing," the vehicle still felt rushed and poorly prepared. The car also creaks while driving, which I chose to overlook. What really pushed me to write this review is the license plate situation. STG taped paper plates onto the vehicle but failed to include the proper Tesla front license plate bracket required to legally mount the plates. I was told by the salesperson to simply contact the service department and they would "handle it." I scheduled a service appointment, drove out there, and then was told they did not even have the parts available and would need to order them. My question is: why was the appointment confirmed if nobody reviewed what the appointment was actually for? Customers should not be sent away because the dealership failed to prepare for its own scheduled service appointments. Now, over a month later, I am still being told the part has not even been ordered yet because they are "waiting on accounts payable." Meanwhile, California law requires proper display of license plates, and I am the one driving around stressed about expired temporary tags and improper plate display because the dealership failed to complete something that should have been handled before delivery. At minimum, consumers expect a vehicle sold by a dealership to be road-ready and legally compliant. I have continued giving STG chances because of my family's long history here, but this experience has honestly been disappointing and frustrating. read more

Just like everyone else. Scam. It's been a while since a dealership caught me this off guard. Called about car. Said it was there. Confirmed for my son, drove in. Someone called and texted while in route to Montclair. We arrived & no car. No apologies. We left. A wasted trip. Truly unprofessional. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Please read and listen to the other bad reviews this place will scam you. I purchased a car with them I told them I wanted to finance with schools first they said okay we can do that. I sign all the papers and they come back and mention that they don't have the title it can take a month or two to get it so schools first might not finance the loan. They said I can pay and get the title expedited. I said no I'll wait I want to finance with schools first (I have an audio recording of this BTW). They come back (and lie) and say their manager is going to pay out of pocket and get it expedited cool right. Two weeks pass I get two letters one from Global Credit Union and one from Schools First both of them congratulating me on my auto loan. I had two auto loans. How you may ask? The dealership flat out LIED TO MY FACE. They looked me dead in the eyes and lied with no remorse. That's who you're buying a car from if you come here. Now I'm left with the mess of trying to untangle my TWO LOANS. The most upsetting lie about all of this. I called global credit union asking if they received the title of the car from the dealership and when... they received it the day I signed the papers for the car. THAT MEANS THEY TRIED TO STEAL MONEY FROM ME "PAYING" TO EXPEDITE A TITLE THEY ALREADY POSSESSED. If you don't want to be lied to and robbed go to literally any other dealership. Attached is a transcript of the audio recording where DANIEL was told clearly that I wanted to finance with schools first NO OTHER CREDIT UNION. Either he doesn't understand what words mean or he's just a slimy piece of shit. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with STG Auto Group due to misleading communication. I was contacted regarding a 2020 Subaru Outback Touring that was advertised online. Before agreeing to come in, I clearly explained multiple times in writing that I live over an hour away, do not have a second vehicle, and would need to take a rideshare. I specifically asked not to come in unless the vehicle was available and my financing had been reviewed. STG Auto Group confirmed in writing that: * The vehicle was available * My credit had been reviewed * I was pre-approved * I should come in that day I also received an appointment confirmation from a sales manager. Relying on these assurances, I traveled with my 7-year-old child, spending about $180 on Lyft rides. After arriving and waiting for nearly an hour, I was told the vehicle had already been sold. I was then shown other, more expensive vehicles. I was never notified beforehand that the car was at risk of being sold, even while I was en route and in active communication. I understand first-come, first-served sales. The issue is confirming availability and approval in writing, knowing a customer will incur significant costs to get there, and then failing to update them. I have documentation of the text messages and appointment confirmations. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting everything in writing and confirming availability immediately before traveling, especially if you're coming from far away. read more

Came in to check out a used BMW M4 Competition at STG and the experience was underwhelming. No one greeted me when I walked in, and staff at the front seemed more focused on their phones than customers. I was also told I couldn't test drive the car without first completing a credit application, which felt unnecessary just for viewing the vehicle. During my visit, I inspected the car mostly on my own while the salesperson remained disengaged. The M4 itself also had more cosmetic wear than expected for its year and mileage, including exterior and interior flaws. Overall, the visit didn't reflect the level of professionalism or quality I would expect when shopping for a performance vehicle, so I decided to leave. read more

Bought a car from them. Had some service issues that were to be fixed. Services was supposed to call. Never did. So I called service they put me on hold every time I called and never answered the call. Continued to put the call on hold without so much as a word. Sat on hold 20 minutes each time I called. Then tried to contact the salesman and manager and no one answers their page, phone calls, texts or messages asking to be contacted. This has gone on for 2 days as of now. Beware of STG Auto Group Montclair - Dishonest and Unprofessional I purchased a 2022 Nissan from STG Montclair in August 2025. From day one, the car has been leaking fluid under the engine every single day. When I bought the car, there were already small issues (scratches, noise, not properly cleaned). The sales promised me: "Close the deal first, bring it back anytime, and we'll fix all the small problems right away." Once the deal was closed, they stopped responding. The manager never returned calls. They only replied when I left negative reviews, and even threatened me to remove the reviews before helping. Customer service asked me to pay extra, even though these were problems they promised to fix when I bought the car. It's been over a month and the issue is still not resolved. I spent hours calling, waiting on hold for over 1 hour with no answer. If you value honesty and after-sale service, do NOT trust STG Montclair. They only chase you before closing the deal. After you pay, they ignore you. I'm now filing complaints with BBB and California DMV for their dishonest business practices. read more

I don't give out 1 star reviews often, but when I do, they are deserved. Our original salesperson was friendly and forthcoming, but every person after that was rude, unfriendly, and dismissive with every negotiation concern or question we raised. Went to check out a truck listed for 37,000 online, they tried to say it was 56,000 instead, trying to charge us for all of the aftermarket items the previous seller put on it. Remy, the manager, tried to talk down to us and was the most unpleasant individual I have ever dealt with, never wanted to make a deal. Rude, incompetent salespeople. Don't buy a car from these crooks, they will rob you blind and fiddle while your family's life burns. Will never buy a car from these people, and advise you not to either!! read more

So I had initially left a review here, a negative one. I came back to add more to it about how much more negative its turning out to be, and it some how seems like they had my review removed. So now I'll go into it with detail, because that just proves more dishonesty and deceit on their behalf. While reading all this, keep in mind this is my second and last purchase from them. So I'm not just some "first time hater" or anything like that. I actually spoke very highly about STG prior to this experience. Also keep in mind that my first purchase was at their other location, so maybe just this one has the "crooked" management. We came in to buy a Porsche from them (Maybe they were able to get it removed because I didn't say what kind of car exactly?). The initial disappointment is that the were told, and had "written proof" that they said the price is "EXTREMELY NEGOTIABLE." Once we got in the door, suddenly they even wanted to not only negotiate, but they wanted to RAISE THE PRICE. So for get any negotiation... we pretty much had to fight to pretty much just get sticker price.. (Which was still over priced.) After we agreed on sticker price after hours of negotiation, (What?! Who has to spend hours negotiating for sticker price?!) We were completely disrespected by the Manager Javier, I'm not sure which department he manages since we were bounced from one to another, but his lack of "customer service" and his lack of respect toward other people is what really left the mark. We're not here to speak badly of Javier but his behavior was just extremely unprofessional. Honestly, if this was just some kind of Honda or Ford or something like that, we would have been out the door and not made a purchase. The only reason we went through with the purchase is because we had been looking for this particular Porsche in this particular color scheme for such a long time, as a personal preference. Aside from all of that, we had to spend more time "negotiating" the fact that they now wanted to charge us more AGAIN for "additional features the car comes with." So after "negotiating that for hours again to try to claim that sticker price should mean what ever is already on the car should come with it and that they should have told us if they want to charge us more for any of it... after we finally agreed on them to not charge us, they suddenly wanted to remove it all from the car now. This is not how you're supposed to sell a car... You dont sell a car and then remove things from it. It's not like the features we're so detremental at that point, it was just the principle behind the fact that if they say this is the car, here it is, this is the price, don't try and go and charge more for things that have already been on it, and don't try to remove them either it... Honestly this was such a head ache I just wanted to buy the dang car and get out of there already... and not because they have done anything great... just because I've been looking for this dang car for so long and that they have made the experience so unpleasant... ANYWAYS, moving on... now I had came back to add to my review and I see that it was taken off some how... What I was going to add now is that, now I'm getting bombarded with phone calls and texts for me to bring the car back for this or for that, all in a suspicious manner. The first one started happening right after I left my first review saying "We need you to bring the car down here because we have a due bill for a detail" Really? Now you want to charge me for detailing the car before you sold it to me? I'm glad I made sure to get that in writing from them that it was free. "We need you to bring the car here so we can put it in our shop for our smog shop to look at it because we need the vin." First of all thats BS. It is ILLEGAL for them to have their OWN SMOG SHOP THERE. That is a conflict of interest and the Department of Motor Vehicles would not allow them to have that business along side a dealership. I don't think I need to explain why, but allow me to explain. The reason is because they can just buy cars that don't pass smog, and just give them a passing certificate anyways since they own the smog shop. Well the DMV isn't stupid and knows this is a conflict of interest, so thats how I know they're LYING. How can they want me to bring it into their smog shop at the dealership when that cannot EXIST. So I don't want to be difficult and argue with them about this (Because I've already thought I was done dealing with their BS and arguing with them.. I simply offered " I'll give you the Vin number right now give me one second" Suddenly they jumped to say " Oh no no we need the actually car here in the smog shop physically to get the VIN" Hmm... interesting, I wonder what they want my car back there for so suspiciously.. and it cant be because they "forgot to smog it" Because they've already had it registered to me, which implies it has been smogged. So theres that now too, Wtf read more

Removed Content: Classic Tale of Buyer's Remorse This is my opinion from my experience from STG Ontario. So, In my opinion: (and others report same in these reviews) The finance manager, Mandoe Riad, misrepresented things while trying to intimidate us to sign paperwork - and it worked - you should see his Mercedes!! BEWARE: Tactic - Never leave you alone to really think about the deal you are being pushed into. In the fluorescent-lit tiny interrogation office, with uncomfortable chairs, Robert showed us one car that seemed a good price... (not the interior I wanted but $8,800, 2016 Nissan, not bad) then Robert can't find it on either lot. So we look online in the office and there is Nissan Sentra 2014, 22,000 miles, $10,880. We can test drive to see if the Nissan is an option. We arrived wanting an Accord, Camry or similar around 2008, something for about $250/mo. So we test drive the car. Without realizing until later that evening, the salesman, Robert, shadowed us so we essentially had no privacy to discuss our apprehensions. See: Dave Ramsey 6 Tactics of Used Car Salesmen (see below) BEWARE: On the test drive, If the gas tank is empty don't fall for this trick to take a very short test drive. OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THE SAME TACTIC!!! No gas for a test drive. This tactic might be ripe for a real consumer legal action. BEWARE: We were REQUIRED to pay for the GPS. It's on the invoice without prior notice. They wore us down, the salesperson will never leave you alone with your spouse, finally, we succumbed to the pressure and ready to sign. OOPS, there is a $710 fee for GPS. We bought a car at another d and the GPS was in the sticker price. Then, the finance guy will tell you how awesome STG is for adding GPS and how it's not an option. Finance guy will also do his best to push for you to pay more down. We insisted, "We only have $1,000" he responds "don't you want to invest in your new car?" With all my due-diligence I still ended up paying $1,710 more than I realized once we reviewed the yellow contract in the privacy of my home. In my opinion, I should have gotten more car for $10,800 + the $710 mandatory GPS. Finally deal, $10,880, +710 GPS (mandatory) 71 months, 20% interest, 22,000 miles. $290/mo. 2014 Nissan Sentra (consumer reports "worst car"). BEWARE: The 30-day warranty boasted is 50% parts 50% labor. BEWARE: (No plates, no floor mats, no owner's manual, no gas - fuel warning light on) When I was about to leave, with my 2014 Nissan Sentra, after five hours of back and forth there was still no gas in the tank, no floor mats, no dealer license plates (just an empty space on front and back). Finally, they found one for the front after realizing they didn't have any more they took from a car in inventory). But they weren't going to put a license plate on the front. Stating to me that it wasn't necessary. But I protested because I recently got a $197 ticket for that. So they went and got another plate off of another car. Once papers are signed you will get a text from STG to do your review. They verbal say "please give us a 5 Star review and mention us by name." I believe these good reviews are often done by people for whom reality has not yet set in or they truly have no other option. Next day, sounds like CV joints are making that dreaded noise when I make the turn out of my driveway (tighter than any turn on the "test drive"). We bought another car on W. Holt Ave. 2004 Infinity, no credit check, 21% interest, $1,500 down,150,000 miles, $6,400 at $210/month for 42 months.30-day warranty. We were allowed to have our mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection ($65). The car dealer fixed those items without even a frown. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * read more

There is a reason for the 3 star review for STG and I even told sales associate Albert I had seen / read the bad reviews on Yelp the first day (6/12/18) and he still managed to help all the bad reviews come true...let's begin. I was spammed by 5 different sales associate as soon as I requested more information from the website. By the way they claim to be an internet dealer so you would think they would care about their internet and YELP reviews but that's only a small piece of the backwards BS associated with this place. Ok...so I ignore the emails and go see the car because proof is in the pudding and I believe none of what I hear and 1/2 of what I see. Never test drove the car. Was given a decent trade-in price for my car. Went home got pre-approval by my credit union because I will be buying a car but I am extremely selective and detail oriented. So...I get phone calls the following day from Albert and an email from Tony, Joey, and Joseph. I call Albert back... not available asked to speak with Tony the owner...nope not available and I still don't know who the eff is Joey or Joseph or why they keep hitting me up! The BS...6/14/18...Albert calls says he could make a trip to LA so my husband can sign the contract... on a car I DID NOT test drive nor did I see in the light but he is sure to tell me his appraisal team wants to see my trade-in in the light so now my effing intelligence is insulted. To make matters worse my husband told him clearly I WAS BUYIN THE CAR. Next Slimy Albert ask who is my co-signer?!?! Im big league sweetheart and don't need a co-signer in fact, I am pre-approved by my bank...so then I say how much are you discounting the car...there are 3 of them just like yours in neighboring cities. Slimyass Albert gets his manager Liarass Khal who tells me that the car is already blue booked at the price listed. They send me a BS blue book. I Kelley blue book myself and find its 1200 over the MEDIAN blue book price. Their response....wait for it...wait for it..."Oh it's because the car is white and we are in California so we get to go higher than the blue book high.!" Ok Im a real idiot now! So then between amateur Albert and LiarTalkOutYourAsshole Khal they tell me they can get me a lower interest rate to offset the price of the car!!! WTF lower than 3.7 and booboo the bank and my credit score control the interest rate not your effed up dealership and what u FAILED mention was that you would have shopped my good name and social security number a bunch of times with ur fingers crossed dropping my credit score for too many inquires. Amateur, antiquated, idiots! So now I'm...agitated and my time is money so Albert calls me again 6/16/17 with the bull and point blank I say are you gonna drop the price or not if not stop calling me I already test drove/driven one of the other Jeeps and they are both at dealerships so the only thing your Jeep has going is the decals which I can put on after market. He tells me he's not authorized to drop price....WELL what the duck get me someone who is and get off my phone!!!! Ok wrapping it up. I get an email on Father's Day from Joseph about my 11am appointment to see the car right along with an alert from CarGurus that the car is sold...WTF I'm done! Please leave me the eff alone. Reviews by Gloria B., Kenny C., Margaret S., and some guy name Dan were all truthful people please use Carfax and Cargurus and buy from a dealer not these clowns! Save your time, money, and piece of mind. read more

Short story at top and detailed story will be below. If possible I would give zero stars. Worst experience ever with a company. This dealership is extremely rude, unprofessional, and proved on several occasions they could care less about the customer and only want the money. They sold us a vehicle that was deemed unsafe to operate and had zero empathy about the problem. Never again will we deal with this dealership and strongly urge anyone looking for a vehicle to do the same. My wife and I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Elantra with low mileage. We were given a car fax report that showed no accidents and no salvaged title reported, as well as documentation that STG "inspected" the car and confirmed everything was good and safe to sell. The next day after taking the vehicle home we noticed pooling of fluid on the garage floor and a lot of oil around varies areas under the front of the car. We were told to bring it in to the shop for inspection. The vehicle was turned in and we were given the run around as far as what is wrong with it then we were told we are not releasing the car to you call the finance manager Michael and talk to him. We were pretty much told there is issues and come get a different car or money back but was not told what was wrong. After several phones which were mostly either we were hung up on, placed on hold for up to 30-40 mins, and countless transfers we were told come in to get your car and the keys will be left up front. We drive from Apple valley on a Friday only to be told nobody knows where the keys were and to come back Saturday for them. We went in on Saturday and was given the same response then finally after getting upset we were finally told someone lied on the paperwork and the vehicle needs a new transmission and there is "severe frame damage and is unsafe to be driven." We then called the dealer on Monday to try to get personal items from the car and once again was told keys are gone and the lead mechanic would call us back shortly which did not happen. After advising them we will have to get law enforcement involved we were magically told to come down to get out stuff, and the key had somehow appeared out of thin air. We asked for documentation about the repairs showing what the problems were and they refused. We asked them to show us the damage on the vehicle and once again they refused to do that and said everything on that was sent to Bellflower and they would give us that over there. We then had to drive from Montclair STG auto to Bellflower STG auto where the vehicle was purchased to try to get a refund. After waiting over 2 hours from them to decided to get paperwork going and everything was signed we were then told that's it and we we told the transaction would magically disappear. We asked for receipts to show our deposits would be refunded we were pretty much told we have nothing to give you and your original receipts from the purchase were somehow or receipts showing the return of the vehicle. Once again after arguing and speaking to the finance manager Michael, who was rude about the whole thing and had no empathy about the situation, finally gave us a copy of the dmv transfer paperwork and said the refund would be given in 2 days which still has not happened. We were also told they would not give us documentation about the damage or repairs because this "reversed the transaction" and the deal never happened. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place at all costs. read more

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding my visit to STG Montclair on 1/26/25. As a returning customer who has leased three vehicles from your location, I expected the same professionalism and care I have experienced in the past. Unfortunately, my recent experience was anything but satisfactory. I initially met with Kevin to discuss trading in my 2018 Mazda CX5, which I leased from STG two years ago, for a 2022 Mazda CX30. After discussing the numbers, I explained that I could not afford the $4,000 down payment or a $700 monthly payment. Kevin assured me he could help, which led to a drawn-out, 6-hour process. Eventually, I was offered a deal with no money down, using my trade-in, for a $680 monthly payment. I agreed and began signing the paperwork. Kevin informed me that the CX30 was at the Bellflower location and was on its way to Montclair. While I waited, I started moving my belongings out of my CX5. However, shortly after, another finance associate approached me and stated there was a mistake: my trade-in would not be accepted. He abruptly told me that I would have to take the CX30 without trading in my current vehicle. I was shocked and frustrated, as this was not the agreement I had just signed. When I raised my concerns, Kevin claimed he had informed me about the trade-in not being accepted, which was untrue. I repeatedly stated that taking on two car payments was not feasible for me, but I was met with rude behavior and dismissive responses. Ultimately, I was told to leave without signing anything to void the contract. Both Kevin and the finance associate assured me that no further action was needed since I never took possession of the vehicle, test-drove it, or finalized the transaction. The lack of professionalism and clear communication was appalling. As a returning customer, I expected better treatment and transparency. To make matters worse, I called the office the following morning at 9:15 AM to speak with a manager, only to be told that no manager was available. I was unable to get any clarity or peace of mind regarding the contract. I am now deeply concerned about the status of this transaction. My signature, as well as my mother's, is on the contract. I need assurance that I am not legally bound to a vehicle I do not possess and cannot afford. I cannot risk receiving a welcome letter from a finance company or a payment notice for $680 a month. I have also reached out to Anthony via text to explain the situation, but I have not received a response. The lack of communication and professionalism at STG Montclair is unacceptable, and I am considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if this matter is not resolved promptly. I request immediate confirmation that the contract has been voided and that I am not responsible for any financial obligations regarding the CX30. I sincerely hope STG Montclair addresses this situation and prevents similar issues from happening to other customers. read more

I'll never return. read more

OMG...I'm floored by the customer service I received here. Freddy Melik was very personable and helpful. We walked on the lot just to check out the 2 Kia Sorento's they had advertised and nicely priced at 7pm. I signed my contract and was back home by 10:30pm. The only reason I couldn't take my truck home was because the banks were closed and I couldn't get enough money out of the ATM for the down payment. I hadn't planned to buy a vehicle that day so I went unprepared. But that didn't keep them from getting me financed in the SUV, with all the features I wanted, I had been looking for. A little back story for you: I had gone to a Kia dealer with pre approved financing. Because they priced the SUV wrong I was forced to jump thru hoops to try to get it. After 3 hours on the lot and multiple phone conversations I finally threw up my hands and called it quits. Since I wouldn't accept their terms, Kia decided to run my credit thru any and every lender they had. This affected my credit score adversely so I worried about receiving a ridiculous rate and payment if I tried again. Especially as a woman and first time buyer. Fast forward to STG! I was totally pessimistic and only went to be able to tell my fiancé, "I told you so!" But that was far from my experience! There was no haggling on the advertised price...There was no question on interest rate or payment... My down payment was even less than I budgeted for. I had been looking for a 2014 or newer Kia Sorento that was black, black interior, & 3rd row; this car had it all. Freddy simply said, "No worries about Kia, let's get you your truck!" That's exactly what he did! The guys are very knowledgable about their cars, different type of customers, and lenders. They only shopped my application to the lender they were confident would accept the terms of the loan as being outlined. I received a welcome call from that finance company just hours before I went to pick up my truck. The only hoops that were jumped threw were theirs as my insurance company needed, it seemed like, a million pictures of the vehicle to switch coverage. I'm very confident in recommending this company. Please ask for Freddy Melik, he'll take care of you. He capped off my goodbye with a hug so I felt more like family than just a customer. Oh, can't forget Mondo (finance manager) who made sure I fit the criteria for the right lender without just throwing my application to anyone they use. I'm very appreciative and I love my 2015 Kia Sorento! I'm apart of the STG family and very proud! read more

STG Auto Group of Montclair at 10324 Central Ave, Montclair, CA 91763, PLEASE BE AWARE FOR THE UPSELL OF SALES AND FINANCE MANAGER I am writing to who concern after trying today given the lack of a suitable response in relation to my earlier query. While I am not happy with the Sales Person(Mo Elalami) & finance manager Rene Escobar- BEWARE, I believe that the service I received from STG when purchasing my 2017 Lexus CT200h on March 17 2023, was inadequate. To be fair, I liked the car, but I was mis-sold several features and options which I never intended on paying for it. Upon closer inspection of the contract, it is clear that I was charged for tinted windows, patrol theft protection and full detail, NONE of which were APPROVED by myself. I include here an itemized account of the extras I paid for and not happy with this upsell: 1. Detailing of the car: $1,655 - pending 2. Tinted windows: $1,590 They did partially 3. Theft Patrol: $1,995, didn't work for a month 4. Parts pending. I sincerely believe that I have paid for items that I stated clearly were not suitable for me, and that it should be possible to honor this request in order to resolve my query. If someone had clearly explained to me that I was signing a contract which would lead to a bill for detail on the car and tinted windows, I would surely have refused to sign. There are numerous examples of dissatisfied customers who have had the displeasure of using your services (https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/montclair/profile/used-car-dealers/stg-auto-group-1066-100003842), and I urge you to take note of these in order to avoid reviews of this nature in future. I do not wish to be another dissatisfied customer. It will be clear by now that I am very concerned about this situation and sincerely hope that the CEO or a real General Manager can be the driving force behind finding a satisfactory solution for all parties. I am looking for a partial reimbursement on the $5,240 I paid for the car. I understand that people are busy there, especially after you buy a car, no ones like to help a person, I therefore urge you (to CEO) to take action and work together with me in order to solve this problem. I will be happy to post positive reviews on various online platforms upon the satisfactory conclusion of this issue. Overall: Bad Practices, Sales People with lack of process and Upsells without respect you and mentioned you before purchase the car read more

"MY WORD IS MY SIGNATURE" STG (Montclair) has a 45.83% Negative Yelp reviews in December 2017 and January 2018 combined. At this point, STG has 24 Yelp Reviews in December 2017 and January 2018 combined. 11 Reviews are Negative and 13 reviews are Positive, which gives a 45.83% Negative and a 54.17 Positive I am a businessman, Realtor, Property Manager, Leasing Consultant. When I do business with my clients and give them my word, I keep my verbal commitment and I honor my word. My word is my signature and it will give me positive word of mouth advertisement. I found a beautiful vehicle on STG's website, a Mazda6. The car was beautiful, it had low miles and the price was unbeatable. I was sold the minute I found it. I contacted STG, and right away Mr. Valentine Ganzhur attended me, he was very courteous and gave me all the info that I needed. I scheduled an appointment for Sunday between 1:00PM and 3:00PM, I was out of town Saturday. He e-mailed me (A total of 11 e-mails were exchanged) and I even got a text from his Assistant Alissa, a courtesy follow up and a reminder of my appointment. I said to myself, these people are very professional and really take care of their clients, I was very impressed. Sunday I got in my car, wife was excited, kids were thrilled, and we headed to the car dealer (cash on hand, didn't need financing, "Easy Transaction, Easy-Commission for the Salesman ") My mobile phone rings: Yes, it was Mr. Ganzhur and he said: I want to give you heads up, the car you want, I sold it 3 hours ago, but we have other cars that you can see. Let's begin. There is Law and there is Ethics, Valentine didn't break the law but he was unethical, he didn't care to honor his word, or to show some degree of respect for his clients, all he cared about was to make a sale and collect his commission. Mr. Ganzhur for future reference, honor your word and respect your clients, if you schedule an appointment and someone else shows up, at least have the courtesy to give your original client a phone call before you sell the vehicle to someone else and have them go through all the trouble just find out you sold their car to someone else. STG train your staff better and stress to them "CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KING" Word of mouth is important, it might increase your ratings and your 45.83% Negative might change. P.S. I bought a beautiful Mazda6 somewhere else. read more

If I could rate them NEGATIVE 5 stars, I would! They do shady, unlawful business. -They listed a vehicle on CarGurus for $30,038 -Verbally confirmed this price/vehicle and set an appointment -Salesperson wasn't there for the appointment and another, Rene, told us the vehicle was sold and that they called and told us and text us -Rene became combative when we denied the phone conversation and texts and even upon him realizing he hadn't and had mixed up another customer, he still would not own up to the fault and continued to be combative -Then told us he could sell us the vehicle because the other buyer wasn't locked in -Then told us the vehicle wouldn't be able to go home today because it hadn't been inspected. Even though on the phone previously we had discussed with the other salesperson, Cole, and confirmed that inspection was done and we would be able to drive off the lot with the vehicle if we wanted it at the appointment time. -There were 8 recalls on this vehicle's year/make/model/trim and we were told they would do the research to make sure this particular vehicle wasn't in need of recall repairs or that they had been done, but that information was not available at our appointment like it was discussed to be -They unlawfully bait and switched from the advertised/listed price to what they wrote up as a quote ($38,555 cash price $49,050.18 after add ons that we had previously discussed as optional, but now they were saying we're not) -When called out about the bait and switch they denied it, but we pulled up the ad (which conveniently had been deleted in the time that we arrived) but we had screenshot it and were able to show them -They said it was a misprint on CarGurus' part and admitted that another potential customer had come to them about this previously, but they didn't change the ad and continued to deny any responsibility to that price even though they had verbally confirmed the listed price on the phone. -When we called local dealerships to inquire about their inventory and mentioned that we were likely being scammed by a local dealership they immediately asked if it was STG and that they heard this a lot 10/10 would NOT recommend doing business here. read more

Wasted 3-4 hours of my time.. I would try to avoid this dealership (both locations). After multiple exchanges with the sales person Brandt, my offer of 26,400 was finally accepted over SMS messaging. I later received a phone call from Walid stating he could not lower the price under 28,000. I told Walid that my offer of 26,400 was already accepted by Brandt. Walid then asked if I could send him screenshots of the text messages (which I did). After a few minutes, Walid called again and stated he spoke with his manager and that he could accept the offer. I warned Walid that if I go, it was to sign documents not be surprised by any packages or preinstalled accessories. Walid assured me that would not be the case and that he would prepare all the paperwork. I showed up to STG with my co-signer at around 7:30 PM. We were greeted by the STG staff and JD assisted us with the paperwork. My co-signer notified JD to provide the paperwork first prior to the credit check. JD assured us it was no problem. Once we received the paperwork, we saw that the sale price was at 28,000 and that our credit had already been run. I notified JD that Walid and Brandt accepted my offer of 26,400 and that he should have not run the credit check until we saw the final price. After 3-4 hours of scrambling, we were finally told by the manager that he apologizes for the mistake of his employees. He stated that no one gave authorization to his employees to accept the offer of 26,400. He continued apologizing until we decided to leave. The manager apologized again and stated he would talk to his supervisor 1st thing in the morning and call us if he could honor the intial offer since his employees were at fault. It is 2:47PM and still no phone call. I understand that business is business, but this wasted almost 4 hours not including the waste of gas. Nice folks, but not responsible for any dishonesty or errors. 3 Errors Made Total: 1. Brandt accepted the 26,400 offer. 2. Walid confirmed the offer and assured his manager honored the quote. 3. credit check was run before showing the final price of the car (which we were assured would not happen). read more

Summary: My experience at STG was the worst car buying ordeal I've ever encountered. From overhearing a salesperson touting an exorbitant loan rate to dealing with deceitful tactics and unreasonable fees, it was a nightmare from start to finish. If you value honesty and fair pricing, steer clear of this dealership. Experience: To set the tone for this review, it's crucial to mention an incident that occurred at STG. We overheard a salesperson next door boasting about securing a "great" loan rate of 16.99% for a family. To me, that's more akin to credit card rates than auto loans. Initially, our experience seemed promising with Sales Manager Renee being helpful and arranging a viewing for a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. However, the facade quickly crumbled. After a brief wait for Renee, another salesperson, Paul, took over. Although friendly, it became evident that we were being set up for a classic bait and switch. The dealership claimed to accept trade-ins at KBB value, but their offer was significantly lower than other dealerships, Carmax, and KBB itself. When negotiations stalled, they brought in their so-called "Trade-in Specialist," Anthony. His tactics were nothing short of deceitful, trying to undermine my understanding of trade-in values and resorting to lies to close the deal. The real shock came with the fees. A car listed at $39,990 ballooned to $52,000 with their added charges. Anthony even had the audacity to defend an $800 charge for window tinting, despite the Carfax report showing it was done by the previous owner in Arizona. When we challenged the absurdity of raising our trade-in value by $2,000 to offset $13,000 in unjustifiable fees, Anthony's true colors showed. He became defensive and refused to return our keys and license, effectively holding our car hostage. It took a major outburst and the involvement of two other employees to get our possessions back. In conclusion, STG is a place to avoid if you don't want to be swindled by $10,000+ in fees and deal with unscrupulous individuals. It's worth paying a bit more at a reputable dealer than enduring the underhanded tactics at STG. read more

If you're considering doing business with STG Auto, do yourself a favor and run the other way. I had the misfortune of interacting with them recently, and it was an exercise in frustration and deceit that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. First off, they use AI chatbots to interact with potential buyers on various online apps. Sounds efficient, right? Wrong. These bots are programmed to lead you on a wild goose chase. I received an offer that seemed reasonable, so I decided to engage. Big mistake. What followed was a series of senseless chats, vague responses, and empty promises. The AI would constantly transfer me to different "agents," each more clueless than the last. It felt like a never-ending loop of incompetence and insincerity. Hoping it was just a one-off experience, I did some digging. A quick look at Yelp confirmed my suspicions. It turns out, this dealership has a history of using these distasteful tactics. Multiple reviews echoed my experience: AI chatbots leading customers in circles, bait-and-switch offers, and a general lack of transparency. One reviewer mentioned driving over an hour after being assured the car they wanted was available, only to arrive and be told it had "just been sold." Conveniently, they were then pressured to look at more expensive options. Another customer was promised financing options that mysteriously evaporated once they were on the lot. This dealership thrives on wasting your time and playing mind games. They seem to have zero regard for customer satisfaction or honesty. Instead, they rely on shady tactics to lure you in and then try to manipulate you into a bad deal. BUYER BEWARE: If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of this place. They will screw with you, waste your time, and then laugh all the way to the bank. There are plenty of reputable dealerships out there--this is not one of them. Save yourself the headache and avoid STG Auto like the plague. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. read more

CAUTION: Before you buy. 1. My credit report was hit 3 times by STG finance department by Mandoe Riad. Finance departments typically pull a credit report and shop those specs to multiple lenders. My wife and I had never heard of such a sketchy tactic as this. 2. We were required to sign over 5 credit applications before we could be offered a finance option. I protested over the identity security nature of this but was told: "do it or else can't help you". This was three hours into trying to find a car. We are still trying to get those applications returned to us. 3. Test drive - the car had no gas. The gas warning light was on. Had enough gas to go around a short city block; approximately .25 miles. Our salesperson Robert said he would get gas put into the car and we could drive on the interstate as I had requested. The car had mechanical issues we did not know until we drove it the next day. 4. GPS - Mandoe Riad required me to pay $710 on top of the car price at the moment we were signing finance agreement. I was NOT told of this before the credit was pulled. It was in the final moments and I had to ask, "What is this $710." 5. Carfax history was not given to us until we were actually driving away with the car to go home. It reported several major repairs in the last year. For many reasons, I and others are frequently put into these compromising situations. After a person spends 4 to 6 hours at a car dealership you are tired, hungry and confused from all the negotiating and different car models. I was NOT left alone with my wife for more than, maybe, 10 minutes. You don't realize the tactics until it's over and you see the pattern of behavior for what it is. Once you have a moment to reflect you see that you were skillfully herded into an agreement you could not back out of. We had to have a car the next day or risk losing our jobs. We did not think it would be this bad. read more

On Sunday I had called because I saw a rav4 posted and I wanted to see if it was still there. Fady answered and said he had the keys in hand but was looking on the lot for it. I live in Huntington Beach and said that I would be there in 50 min. When I got there they still hadn't found the car. My dad and I waited over an HOUR for them to tell us that it was just parked in the back... He said they would bring it up front and then 30 minutes later my dad got sick of waiting and went to talk to the manager. The manager walked us back to the car. It was in no way ready to be bought that day and taken home, which was fine. I took it on a test drive and ended up saying I wanted it. Fast forward to another hour later.. finally agreed on a price and they said it would take 20 minutes to fill out the paperwork. It took over another hour!! I am almost 8 months pregnant and it was ridiculous to be waiting around that much. They wanted my check that day even though I wouldn't be leaving with the car (they had to keep it to detail clean it, give it an oil change and send to a body shop to get minor dents out). I was so over waiting around. I called Wednesday to follow up on how much longer my car would take and nobody ever got back to me. I kept calling and finally on Thursday they said I need to come pick it up, I told them I couldn't come until the weekend. Saturday morning I called and said I would be coming later that evening to get the car and to have it ready. I got there around 4:30 and they said they were going to the back to get my car. Over ANOTHER hour went by and they finally pulled my car up, the inside had oil all over the dash and they poorly detail cleaned the inside. They also had taken out the floor mats that were in there before and proceeded to tell me that they were probably in another rav4 now. Don't waste your time here. Go to an actual dealership read more

Would give a 0 if it was available I retuned To the dealership last night 10/27/16 with my wife to purchase a 2016 CHEV Tahoe 37k this was 2 weeks after I had had purchased a CHEV truck for 36k I was dealing with Jose and Robert. We picked one out met with Robert price haggle back and forth said he couldn't do anything on the price of the Tahoe mind you repeat customer within 2 weeks back and forth no type of customer appreciation like if the first purchase didn't exist finally after back and forth mgr etc same devious sales for dealers lots game playing and wasting my time got a set of wheels and tires used from another. Tahoe to the one we wanted after and was paying full pop as advertised we were very tired by then Then the trade in was appraised and Jose came to me I asked was the trade he said he siding want to offend me said 4500 for a 2008 CHEV suburban I got very upset because it's all about them Kelly blue book was 10-12 k dealer trade in I was insulted and they tried to play me like an idiot asking how much I wanted? Car: 2014 Dodge Charger 5.7 RT $22,600 Purchased the car/miles : 5/27/16 33,000 Extended service contract: $2,999 Gps tracker theft patrol: $1,500 Issues: Window chip First automotive service contract 60 months/60,000 miles expires When purchased the sales person told me my service contract will last additional to the current mileage's, pretty much when one pays for the car up to 5 years ideal the contract should last that long. However since my car has 66,000 miles now they told me they can't do nothing about it and pretty much gave that motto speech "too bad the contract says it's expired" I automatically get warranty from manufacturer 60,000 or less, I don't need to pay a service contract when I'm getting it free. It's been 2 years and technically it was supposed to last another 3 years ($1,788). I ask to get my partial money that was meant to last 3 more years and they said NO! They offer me to pay them $1,200 for another 3 years! That's insane. Plus before I saw the car a month before I purchased it has a nickel size chip on the driver said eye level which is annoying. Then when bought they didn't want to replace it after I spend $28,000 with my bank and yet they wanted me to pay their copay to replace my windshield. Like come on! After spending that much and gps tracker, service contract and yet they still want to continue banging me in the ass. The only difference on what they are offering is they charging me to pay for the dam lubricant while they screwing me over! Lot of dealership will tell you "too bad you sign the contracts, it's meets legal requirements". Man fuck your bullshit minimum requirements. This guys are chumps! We the people come and buy with that peace of mind that we can trust them!!! No professional courtesy whatsoever! Don't get fooled by the good prices! NO MORALS NO ETHICS read more

I completely back the girl below that states, "Lack of integrity and unethical." You know its a sad day when someone buys a car from somewhere and leaves a bad review about the service. This is our second and last purchase from them. Long story short, I might come back and edit in the whole story but for now... The only reason we bought the car and took it home was because of the fact that We've been looking for this particular car for a long time now and they're fairly hard to come across. Again, I back the girls comment that said "Lack of integrity and unethical." The amount of times we caught a lie in them or something dishonest... they even mislead us to get us in the door by giving us a price and saying its extremely negotiable and then when we get there they didn't even move a penny on the price (but thats not where the issue arose) and even tried adding on more things to bump the price up more and more and so on... I guess thats expected at a Car Dealership but we thought STG was the one that was different. This list goes on... We bought another car from them a few years ago, at the other STG branch and it was a pleasant experience and we dealt with the owner Tony there. We always spoke highly of STG following our first purchase and its unfortunate that it had to change. Maybe its just this branch you should stay away from. I believe the sales manager or finance manager, "Javier" acted very disrespectful and unprofessional at times. He should really learn to treat customers or just people in general, with more respect. The only thing that made this experience pleasant was a gentleman that worked there by the name "Freddy Malik" and another by the name "Joseph Isaak" These two seemed very genuine, positive, and honest for the most part. Outstanding individuals. Anyways, enjoy the coffee... read more

I had been searching for a specific car for at least a month. I ended up at STG Auto in Montclair on a Saturday with no intention to make a decision that day as I was being very patient with my search and taking my time. I had never heard of STG nor read any reviews however, upon arrival the cars looked to be in great condition, they seemed to be very popular, and the waiting room was very comfortable and full of refreshments. I was not able to speak with the original salesman I was set up with which raised a red flag however, I was set up with Freddy Melik who was ultimately very helpful and prompt with the whole situation. Although the vehicle was in another lot, Freddy got us there quick and allowed a test drive back to the main dealership. I liked what I saw and immediately went inside to discuss price. At first it didn't seem like I was going to walk out with the car and I had every intention to go look at another vehicle as I was in no rush. After some back and forth it really seemed like they wanted to work with me however much they could to let me leave with the vehicle at a price I was comfortable with and at the end of the day I ended up walking out with the car at a price I feel was great for both parties. Freddy was not only nice enough to include a fix for the tint on the vehicle via a quick phone call appointment, he was also kind enough to offer an uber from my house as I needed to head back to pick up my original vehicle I drove there in that I left at their dealership. Paperwork was seamless, carfax was provided, and hardly any run-around was given. Overall I am happy with the price I paid as well as the service and commitment I received from the staff. I would recommend a family or friend to purchase from this specific STG as well as return to look at vehicles myself as well. read more
