Date of car sale

Sold my car on December 23 2025. Changer my card for supercharging before selling it. Didn't remove my access from the car so I was able to see the car's location and was able to control it after it was bought and removed myself

Buyer Beware: My Disappointing Experience with STG Dealership This review is based on my experience with STG's deceitful, dishonest, and unreliable business practices, along with their rude and unprofessional customer service -- from the front desk receptionist to the service department staff (Marina, in particular). This was my second time purchasing a vehicle from STG, and unfortunately, history repeated itself. The first time, they lied about services they promised to uphold. Because I didn't ensure it was written in the contract, they refused to honor their word. I let it go at the time since I was able to resolve the issue elsewhere without much hassle. Fast-forward to this past month -- I returned to STG because of their wide vehicle selection and seemingly reasonable prices. I'm now kicking myself for not choosing a reputable dealership. The Sales Experience I dealt with Carlos, Ramy, Anthony (sales manager), and others at their Montclair location. The car I purchased wasn't actually there; instead, I got a message from Anthony at their Bellflower location saying the car was being transported. That was around 9 a.m., so I drove down to Montclair -- only to end up waiting over four hours for it to arrive. During that time, Ramy had me sign all the paperwork while the car was still in transit. He kept assuring me, "You're going to love the car -- it's a great car." Foolishly, I trusted his word and didn't inspect the vehicle before signing. When the car finally arrived, I immediately noticed numerous scratches, deep dings, and a rough interior that clearly needed a professional detailing. I pointed these issues out, and they assured me everything would be fixed. We shook hands, and I believed them. Broken Promises I made an appointment with their service department, where I was attended by Marina. She immediately told me they wouldn't repair anything because it wasn't listed on their "due bill." I explained that Ramy had promised the fixes verbally, but she refused to honor it. I left the vehicle with them for nearly a week, and when I picked it up, it was in worse condition than when I dropped it off. None of the promised work had been done. When I tried to reach out for resolution, I was constantly given the runaround. Anthony (sales manager) even hung up on me, and neither Carlos nor Ramy would return my calls. Deceptive Add-Ons and Overcharges On top of everything else, they tried to charge me $900 for window tinting and another $900 for door bumper guards -- both outrageously overpriced. After some haggling, I got the price lowered, but the tint job had bubbles, and the car still had visible scratches. Final Thoughts This dealership will say anything to make a sale and get you out the door, but once they have your money, you're on your own. If you're considering buying from STG, learn from my mistake: Get everything in writing. Make sure all promises are clearly listed on your due bill. Don't pay for overpriced extras like tint, door guards, or GPS add-ons. And most importantly, take your business to a reputable dealership that values honesty and customer satisfaction. Buyer beware -- once you drive off their lot, STG stops caring.

Zip ties holding the bumper
Daniel G.

Selling better vehicles would be ideal they sold my wife and her mom this car a little bit over a month ago I'm pretty sure that they knew the bumper would fall off at some point now that 30 days is up they definitely would not want to help if they do please reach out and help because this is unacceptable she almost had a car accident when the bumper fell off and cracked it's a brand new 2022 and we are definitely can I figure out a way to get a lawyer and see what we can do because after all these reviews I have read I'm pretty sure they're not gonna help us sell better vehicle vehicles ! When she was driving down the road the bumper fell off in the freeway and almost caused a big accident imagine it would've been our fault because of your faulty bumper or because you guys didn't put it on right I'm gonna reach out to a lawyer as soon as I can if you guys don't reach out to me or my wife

Unfortunately, I didn't have a key to unlock my SUV or lock/unlock my glove box. After a month and a half, I emailed my salesperson to see what could be done about this. After 1 week of haggling with him & managers through emails, I got the dealership to approve a Dodge key fob with a key cut for my SUV. When I arrived at the dealership, Elliott was my service advisor. He greeted me warmly and asked how he could help me. I told him that I was here to get a Dodge key fob made for my SUV, that was approved by management. I was there for about an hour, Elliott made sure I was comfortable, offered me soft drinks, & a massage chair. After an hour, Elliott checked my new key fob to make sure it worked. He showed me how to remote start my vehicle with the key fob, and he locked & unlocked my SUV with the cut new key. Elliott also checked with me to see if I wanted my throttle body serviced & my brake fluid reservoir checked. I declined those services, but I got Elliott's phone number to set up those services he offered at a later date. When I do return back to Knight Claremont Dodge Jeep Ram, I will be asking for Elliott every time!

PLEASE READ I…read morehaven't written a Yelp review since 2020 , you can look at my profile. But after my experience today, I felt like I had to write one to warn others. All of the recent reviews you see on Yelp from people describing this dealership and its pricing practices as dishonest are 110% accurate. Unfortunately, today I experienced exactly what everyone else has been warning about. Before driving down, I called the dealership and spoke with my salesperson, Louis, who was actually a nice guy. I genuinely felt bad for him because I know he was just trying to make a sale. I specifically told him, "I live an hour and a half away with traffic. Before I drive all the way there on a Friday, is the price advertised online actually the price? Are there any gimmicks, mandatory add-ons, or other BS charges that are going to suddenly be added to the advertised price?" I made it very clear that if my wife liked the car, I was prepared to pay the advertised price plus tax and license. Louis told me yes. The only thing he disclosed was an additional $1,500 because I didn't have a trade-in. He explained that customers with a trade-in were receiving an additional $1,500 discount. I said fine. At least I knew about that before making the drive. After our test drive, I told him, "We want the car. Let's go inside and get the paperwork going." That's when all of a sudden he said, "Well, it's my job to go over something with you quickly." He then started explaining that the car had an additional $5,000 package they call the "Knight Package." And this is where the whole experience changed. This so-called $5,000 Knight Package consisted of a bunch of add-ons and BS services that we never asked for, didn't want, and honestly provided absolutely no benefit to us as consumers or as owners of the car. Things like ceramic coating, tire-related products, and other unnecessary add-ons that we had zero interest in purchasing. In my opinion, this Knight Package is a complete scam. It felt like nothing more than a way to add another $5,000 onto the advertised price after getting you through the door. What made it even worse was learning that any warranty or coverage connected to this Knight Package has to be handled through their dealership. It is not something you can simply take to another Chrysler dealership and have honored. So you're being asked to pay thousands of dollars for a package you may not even want, and then you're tied back to this dealership if you ever need to use it. So now, after I specifically called ahead and asked about gimmicks and additional charges, drove an hour and a half in Friday traffic, test drove the car, and told them we were ready to buy it, suddenly another $5,000 appears. I also asked the manager a very simple question: why isn't this so-called "Knight Package" disclosed in the AutoTrader listing? His response was, "That's a third-party company. We don't control what they write." That explanation made absolutely no sense to me. The dealership is the one providing the vehicle information and posting the listing. These sites give dealerships space to describe the vehicle, pricing, conditions, and additional information. If there is a mandatory $5,000 package attached to the purchase, then disclose it in the listing. I told him directly that they should go back and clearly state that there are additional mandatory add-ons. At least then consumers can make an informed decision before driving all the way there. Instead, the advertised price gets your attention, and the extra $5,000 only comes up once you're there and ready to buy. In my opinion, that is extremely misleading and dishonest. And this is exactly what so many other people on Yelp have complained about. When I said, "Fine, then remove those items because I don't want them," I was basically told they couldn't because they would be losing money on the car. My response is simple: then don't advertise the car at that price. The overall experience also felt very low-class. On a scorching hot day, no one even offered us a bottle of water. I finally went over to the refrigerator and grabbed one myself. It may sound like a small thing, but it says a lot about the level of customer service. I wish I had read the reviews before I drove down. Their AutoTrader ad listed the car at $31,821. I was already told to add another $1,500 because we didn't have a trade-in, bringing the price to $33,321 before tax and registrations which is fine. (LOOK AT THE PICTURE UPLOADED) Then the manager came back with a piece of paper showing the car at around $41,800. LOL Seriously? A car advertised at $31,821 somehow turns into roughly $42,000 by the time you're sitting at the dealership ready to buy it. What a joke. BUYER BEWARE.

Once of the best choices I have ever made was going here. I have taken some time to write this…read morebecause I did not want to write a review that was without merit or value. In other words I truly wanted this review to be full of truth of experience and worth. Couple of things I was worried about. Buying a Car off Holt. Lets be honest there are not a lot of things that I have known that are good to buy off Holt other than street tacos. Not exactly the place I would think I would have an amazing customer service experience with great people and great product. Steve, and the Team here is what I would call Magnificent. I was not exactly what you would call an easy sale. I was also a bit strangely organized financially because of my type of business so I proved to be a bit of a challenge for them. Calm and collected they were never worried. Only me. I left this place driving an excellent car with great milage and what I would call no buyer remorse. Mostly because of the experience which I thought would or could get salted over time but it has not. There were a few issues with my purchase that involved the navigation and control module. Steve assured me he would help me take care of it and another minor issue was that the lights are so fogged up they hardly look they are on. Once I get to a place where I can drop this car off I will have it handled but either way I can say this. There is reason why this organization is 5 Stars. They do everything right. They have the cars you are looking for and more importantly the attitude needed to make a good experience. In sales its about the CAN DO attitude. I was frustrated and felt a bit hopeless and they made me feel like I mattered. Steve Knows Sales and the Finance Guy not only knew finances but also computers. It feels good to be treated with respect. This is going to be the place my entire family and friends get their cars from. Here are the reasons. GREAT PEOPLE GREAT PRICES STAND MY THEIR SALES AFTER SALES AND AFTER SALES CARE WORK WITH YOU TO MAKE WHATEVER THEY CAN HAPPEN THEY GO THE EXTRA MILE. THEY WORK WITH BAD CREDIT / ISSUES WITH CREDIT THEY WILL DO WHAT IS IN THEIR POWER TO MAKE THINGS WORK I won't share what Steve did for me as I closed the sale with him and took my new used car home but it was very kind and I think he does it for alot of people. A Little bit counts and goes a long way. I am thankful and grateful for LA COSTA Sales and look forward to more reviews and my family buys their next cars here. There is NOTHING and I do mean nothing that could have done better. Excellent work guys. Sorry for the delay but I really wanted this review to be full of truth, reflection and longevity. CONS: Holt Ave is not somewhere you want to be late at night. CONS: A Little Stuffy in the Sales Room CONS: Issues with Car / PRO - Not an issue for a team of people who want your experience to be a good one. They know what to do, how to do it and where to go if anything does come up. Used Cars are not exactly iron clad anything can happen but they seem to have most of the things you need covered or can handle any minor issues you need to take care of or the direction to point you to. 30 Years + Years of Business and Integrity and Experience makes this place a no brainer to shop for your next used car. If you are going to buy a used car and have no choice the good part is the choice of where to buy it has already been made up. Reviews like this for a car dealership like this is unheard of. Truly A Diamond in the Rough. BUY YOUR CAR here!

The 2 Lacosta brothers running this business are the most honest and trustworthy salesmen you can find in the area. They specialize in affordable used cars! Come here to buy, sell or trade! My family has been coming here since our struggling origins. When I say struggles, I mean, we were a ONE CAR household. My dad would drop my mom off at work in the mornings and either he or my aunt would pick my mom up from work. We had a humble living and even with one car, we couldn't afford anything too new. The La Costa brothers were there to provide their automotive knowledge and extremely reliable recommendations. The cars we purchased from them throughout the years had no headaches. When it was time to afford to budget a second car into our household, it was legendary. We felt extremely blessed and fulfilled to have what others would imagine to be basic necessities. La Costa Auto Sales was a major factor in making that transition possible for their reasonable rates and reliability. I will always always feel grateful that they were able to be there for us during tough times. Pass forward to the present, we are blessed to afford to buy newer cars from the Honda dealership, but that leaves us with an "old" car on hand. Honda offered quite an insulting value, and my dad immediately said No thank you! We knew selling it to La Costa Auto Sales would be an honest amount, whatever the offer would be. We saw Steve, and he did a thorough inspection and pulled up the car's official reports, and gave us his professional opinion. We knew it wouldn't be much, but we definitely trusted and appreciated any "value". That car has been good to our family for two decades, and it was really hard to let go. We trust that it will be good to its' new owner, and still keep the car in our prayers. As a family who has bought, traded and sold cars with La Costa Auto Sales for nearly three decades, I can in all honestly give them the ultimate seal of approval. When we have relatives or friends who are just starting out, need a used car for a beginning driver, or looking for a reliable used car, we would always direct them here and trust that a positive transaction would take place for both parties.

This was my first experience with Metro Acura, and the difference in customer service was noticeable from the moment I arrived. Before visiting Metro Acura, I had stopped at another Acura dealership in Covina. From the moment I arrived, the team was attentive, professional, and focused on helping me find exactly what I was looking for. They quickly understood the vehicle I wanted, made the entire process straightforward, and within about an hour I was driving away in my new Acura. From my salesperson, to the management team, and finally the finance manager, everyone made the experience smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. There was no unnecessary pressure or wasted time, just excellent customer service from beginning to end. I've spent time and effort trying to get my car serviced at a Mercedes dealership, bothering their service department and my personal mechanic because (Jimmy Thompson) told me I had to service at a Mercedes dealership. My mechanic identified car can only be serviced at Metro Honda. I have zero confidence in them. I was offered a plan refund and asked for an appt to sign. Not possible, I have to walk in and wait as long as needed. Jimmy was bitter, acerbic, sarcastic and very rude when I challenged him on the misinformation given. 30 days to get a refund. No electronic deposit. He's an unhappy, nasty man. I never want to set foot in there again. Armando was supposed to give me info about the plan. I waited 2. days to call again. Called next 3 days in a row, left voice mails. Now my car is 1700 miles past due service. I started trying to get it serviced when it was 800 miles past due. I drove it out of state and needed to drive back since I had a maintenance plan! It took 9 months for metro to fix tears in the leather on the seat and a cosmetic flaw, both present at time of purchase. I asked and asked, after months I didn't know how to get help. It took me a month to do something I would never ordinarily do. I called John Hawkins (owner) and asked whom I should speak to. He was so kind and proactive. I was so sorry to bother him. John Lane replied (quickly) and was angry and rude. He said John was old and retired and hinted I hadn't kept previous appointments for repairs. Not true! As soon as scheduled, I arranged to be there. When we spoke after 5 days , (Armando) I asked if he received my messages. He said, "just the one today". The receptionist confirmed he was working the other days, "but was with a client". I keep my car maintained when due.I felt my only recourse was to call John Hawkins. I HATED DOING THAT!!! I asked whom should I talk to? Gus called within 10 mins. Suddenly have the soonest appt with a loaner. . That was never offered before. When I bought the car I asked Angel twice, if the car needed premium fuel. That would have been a deal breaker for me.Both times, "no, just regular gas" When I went home the day of sale, my tank was so empty that I could barely roll into an Arco before it died. Under the gas cap it said, PREMIUM FUEL ONLY. I mentioned it would have been considerate to let me know I would imminently need gas. Jimmy was quick to assert, "we couldn't fill it because it needs premium fuel and we don't carry that" The finance guy knew that, but not my sales guy? Again, (literally 2.3 miles) Reluctantly I was refunded $275 from price of maintenance plan, to be fair. At current gas prices, driving 10k/year, math shows it costs me about $700/year more for premium gas. My car has depreciated $9k in 10 months. Depreciation happens, but after the fact research factoring OTD pricing with its taxes and fees tells me I paid $5k over market value. Mr. Hawkins (owner) was present at my arrival and introduced me to his team and senior managers, instructing them to "treat me like family" I was lulled into a false sense of security and I just trusted. Mr. J. Hawkins is the owner and a family friend. I grew up with his daughters. He is getting older, but couldn't be sharper! I've known him for years. He is honest, kind, intelligent, and has an energetic vibe that is infectious. When I bought my car the dealership was being put back in order from their Christmas party from the night before. It was apparent it had been extremely beautiful and elegant. Staff were commenting on what a great time they had! John and family live out of state, and I don't know to what degree he's "retired" as John Lane sputtered at me, but he happened to fly in the day I went in, I sat in his large and tasteful office, the sr. management team all came immediately to greet him and meet me. It's the only time in my life I felt like a princess! I expected the best experience ever! I've bought cars at KIA Covina, KIA Citrus Valley, Claremont Toyota and Carmax in Ontario. This by far has been my worst experience. It hurts me to say that about Mr. Hawkins' company, I have the deepest respect for him. He's not there on the daily and I know he would not be happy with my experience. I can't be the only one. This am at 3:55 Emily Garcia texted me from Metro Honda asking if it was ok to text. Not at 3:55 am!! I don't silence my notifications, I have kids. That wakes me up. Around 8 I got another text, a person asking if I was ready to come in and look at inventory. I never indicated I wanted that! It's the last place I'd go! Her reply re: the 3:55 am text? It was AI. No taking responsibility. Are humans still in control over what AI does? Apparently not at Metro Honda of Montclair, CA.

After verifying that with toyota about this specific Highlander. I was so willing to get this vehicle, but I wanted it to be discounted for the price of the repairs that I was going to do on it within a week because of the mileage that required it to be done at that time. As we approached the lobby, a gentleman looked at the three of us and the very first thing he said was, "Do you need somebody that speaks Spanish?" He didn't even say hello or greet us in any way. His first interaction with us was to make an assumption about whether we needed someone who spoke Spanish, which immediately made us feel uncomfortable and judged. I explained that I did not need anyone to speak Spanish and that we were there to see a specific vehicle I had already called about. It then took approximately 35-40 minutes for them to even bring the car out. We eventually test-drove the vehicle, and when it was time to discuss the numbers, we were passed around to three different people. We waited nearly another hour before we were finally able to sit down and actually discuss pricing. Unfortunately, each interaction became more frustrating because the people we dealt with were extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. During the price discussion, one of the people who identified himself as a manager received a phone call. While sitting there with us, he was yelling at and speaking extremely rudely to the person on the other end of the phone. It was so unprofessional that I actually felt bad for the person he was speaking to. The entire experience was exhausting and completely unnecessary. Buying a car should not feel like you are being treated as an inconvenience or being judged before you even have a chance to speak. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership and will definitely take my business elsewhere.
