I was so excited when I thought I found a gem. That was until I looked around to relogious verses on most every wall, which is fine, to each their own. Then I found "house rules" really rubbed me wrong. Rules regarding faith to God, and prohibited talking items. Wait time during a mid day work week was pretty busy. We waited about 20 min. The location is ideal and the place itself is very cute. I didn't really like that you have to wait in line to order your food then it's brought out to you. The food itself was very good. One big complaint... you get cold syrup and cold butter for your waffle. I asked their server for warm butter and said she only had packets so I asked if she could bring warm syrup and she said she wasn't able to. . Not exactly great service! Also, if you are paying with a credit card and want to leave a tip you must leave it when you order before you even get your order. Lesson learned, always have cash for tip so you can tip accordingly for the service you get. read more

My Husband and I saw pictures of Stewart's in one of the neighborhood post sites and thought we would try them. They look like they took great care to wear face coverings, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc. We have not eaten out much because we were not sure if restaurants taking the precautions seriously. We we were not disappointed. My husband got a Sunrise special and a vanilla latte. We loved the sticker and the care that they took to bring it out to the car while we waited for breakfast. My daughter and I got croissant sandwiches. I had bacon and egg and she had sausage, egg, and cheese. They were so big and tasty. We will be back. You should try them as well. read more

We stopped here right before the holiday to grab breakfast. The staff were so accommodating and the food was excellent. Great variety of flavored coffee and lattes and a great menu selection. The only things that could make it better would be an option to tip on the payment screen and online ordering to make grabbing breakfast on your way to work a breeze! read more

The reviews were right...this is a great breakfast spot. We came on a Saturday morning around 9, before my grand nephews' soccer games and it was already busy. It's a small little place (with a good bit of lot parking though) and there were about 15 of us in line...but the tables were cleared quickly and we all somehow were miraculously seated right after we ordered. The lady taking our orders (assumed it was the owner) was soooo friendly and helpful. We told her it was out first time, though it was highly recommended by my nephew and his wife. We ordered a fried chicken and cheese biscuit with sausage gravy on the side, a big breakfast with bacon and another big breakfast with pork chop. She gave us complimentary drinks as first timers (and my husband's coffee was at our table immediately as we were seated!). I ordered my coconut latte to go (for the game) and it was the BEST I've ever had. It was not too coconutty flavored (some have obnoxiously too much coconut) and it was also not too sweet ---perfect! My chicken biscuit was great on its own, but then paired with the sausage gravy---YOWZA! My husband loved his bacon big breakfast and LOVED his potatoes. He is not a real biscuit eater but he ate all of these, commenting they were moist and flaky and not dry like many others. My sister enjoyed her big breakfast too, though didn't care too much for the porkchop. It was HUGE, but was more of a pork patty and not an actual pork chop...so we wouldn't necessarily recommend the fried pork. The place is cute and the service is excellently friendly and expedient. They have just the right number of staff to service everyone. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering. This is a definite spot to catch a great home cooked meal with very good coffees. Although we did not feel rushed, it may not be a good place if you are wanting to lounge and linger. $17 for $8.99 breakfast. Ordered the sunrise special Supreme with sausage home fries and eggs over easy. The eggs are fried over medium and the sausage had little to no taste and the pancake definitely was a box mix, no other way to describe it. Coffee was okay and used to be better. I make better at home. I hate to be so negative but what happened to the great food and prices. Way out of line for the quality and quantity. Is Stewart's under new ownership or has the spirit left the restaurant for good service and food. In the past I got four stars and wants five stars. Won't be back. $17 wasted. read more

I found this place on yelp. So I called my sister up and asked her if she wanted to join me for breakfast. We arrived to a small, quaint restaurant with a clean country feel. By my surprise, the restaurant feel was only the first. The customer service was superior. After finding a table in a comfy corner- our food arrived in little time. The owners were so involved & intentional about making sure their guest were comfortable. Brad & his wife were super nice and intentional about getting to know us. It wasn't a sales pitch. We honestly felt sooo comfortable there. Also, by our surprise- they bought us two lattes to the table to test! We overstayed our visit lol but will be back. My sister mentioned the potatoes remind her of our late grandfather as well as the homemade biscuits . Ahhhhhh we can not wait to return. I've been to Stewart's Bistro a bunch of times over the past two years and I have to say, I just don't care for the food. Don't let the two stars make you think you should avoid this spot, you shouldn't. There are lots of great things about it; the coffee is excellent, the decor is cozy, and the staff is always working hard and providing excellent service. Stewart's is a great place to have coffee, meet a friend and hang out with a book. I've eaten here several times and I am always disappointed. My first experience was chicken and waffle with a frozen-from-the-bag piece of chicken on top of a flavorless waffle. It was so sad. Today I ordered a create-your-own breakfast sandwich; turkey sausage, cheese on a croissant. The turkey sausage was small links, stacked up on the croissant with shredded cheese that had been melted to the point that it was actually rock hard and dissolving. It was impossible to eat without a knife and fork. I ate one link and passed on the rest. Stewart's has a good thing. They have a great location and are one of the only breakfast options in the area. And based on the high rating on Yelp, I'm an outlier with my opinion. I just wish the food was better and that they used better ingredients. read more

This is probably my new favorite place! As a new mom, I get really nervous going to restaurants and cafes because I wonder if it will be kid friendly. Almost immediately upon entering, the owner approached us and asked us our preference on seating and how we wanted to seat our baby. We felt so welcomed! Service the entire time was amazing. It was a busy Saturday afternoon but the servers were quick, friendly and so approachable. The coffee was extremely fresh and tasty. Everything on the menu sounded so good! I can't wait to go back and try everything. We ordered the roast beef and Swiss panini and french toast and both were so good! But seriously, it was so hard to choose! I can't believe I've never given this wonderful restaurant and coffee shop a review. I have been a patron and fan of Stewart's since they opened. Breakfast and lunch food is fantastic and plentiful, and the coffee is excellent. However, what makes this my favorite spot in the Triangle are the people, both owners and staff, who make Stewart's a community treasure. This is a small business that is a very real labor of love and investment in our community. We're brand new to the area from California and this was such an exciting find! We were just planning to pop into the Harris Teeter for some Starbucks for a caffeine fix and noticed how busy this cute bistro was, and if it's one thing we know- if a place is hoppin' the food's gotta be good! There are so many reasons why I LOVE this place. First, the atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you instantly have that home town coffee spot feel. Plus the owner Leanne and her husband are always around greeting people and making everyone feel welcome. Second, the coffee ! I love being able to support this local business. Their food is typically very good but the potatoes leave something to be desired. I wish they were a bit crispier and with some more seasoning. Also for their coffees to go, it's rather small. For $4.50 for my latte it's a small cup. I can go down to coffee lodge and get a much bigger cup for the same price. The price for bacon is rather ridiculous as well but I pay it because my son loves bacon. I'll continue supporting them but wish I could get more value for my money. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I used to work for Leanne before she opened her own restaurant, so I already know she's a phenomenal manager. She and her husband have infused their warm personalities into Stewart's space and the classic breakfast and lunch menu. They are the definition of good people, and everyone will feel welcome as soon as they walk in the door. When you enter the restaurant, you'll order at the counter first and then select your seat. There's almost always a line, but it moves very quickly. I've had breakfast and lunch here, and everything I've eaten was always delicious. The coffee is also superior to anything else you can get in the area. It's always bustling, so if you're looking for a "quiet" coffee shop to work or study this may not be it. However, the tables turn over quickly so you can usually find a place to sit, and there's free WiFi if you're like me and you enjoy working with the background noise. read more
