Yesterday, I was about to sell a Thinkpad, but when I plugged it in, it overheated! I had to ask the buyer to wait til I could get it looked at, and luckily he agreed. I took it over to Steve's at 2pm on a Saturday. Not only was the shop open, he helped me personally, He told me if it's an easy fix he'll do it immediately and I can take it home. If it was more complicated, I'd have to wait for the diagnosis Mon or Tues. I knew there was a bios setting that might fix the problem. Steve got in fast and fixed it. I took it home and plugged it in... PROBLEM SOLVED! This allowed me to sell the laptop the same day! AND he waived the $85 diagnostic fee! I was happy to learn they work on Macs (my daily driver), PCs or Linux machines. They do all sorts of repair, recovery, upgrades and new builds. When I was there, they were working on 2 seriously tricked out gaming PCs. It's hard to keep a small business running, and it's hard to find honest independent computer repair shops. I'm glad that Steve has succeeded at both... staying in business and serving our community. I hope we continue to keep him in business. *** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED *** read more

Steve is an awesome guy! I recently returned to San Antonio from Austin and forgot to pack my power cable for my PC along. After explaining my issue he generously offered a free cord and thanked me for my service (Military). Without this cord I would be out a night's worth of productivity for work and school. The shop itself was very tidy and professional. The other employees were hard at work on other projects and the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. All of this hospitality and it was nearly closing. Kudos to this team, this is how you run a business! If I ever need any repairs, Steve's Computer Repair is where I'm coming. read more

There's not much to say other than these guys (Steve & Mike) were very welcoming & understanding of my situation. The hard drive to my laptop went out & they did what they could to retrieve as much data as possible & put it on a portable memory bank for me. They also put a new hard drive in my laptop & got it running, all within a 3 day time span. I had over 300 gigabytes of music & tons of pics/docs. They did what they could & I couldn't be more grateful. Their prices were reasonable .... Like Steve said, "we're not the cheapest or the most expensive". He let me know upfront that there was plenty of more options/repair shops around. There was no pressure from them & they accepted payments. They have a showroom for new or refurbished laptops. I would recommend these guys for your pc needs. read more

The only place I'll go to in San Antonio for computer repairs. Steve saved my thousand dollar gaming PC multiple times. He answers his phone when you call, texts you status updates on your computer, and provides top notch, reliable, experienced computer service. Simple things that put him miles ahead of any other computer shop. Go here! Thanks Steve! read more

Steve's PC Repair is located in the Northeast near IH35 and Thousand Oaks. I have watched this location grow and improve over the years. The techs here know what they are doing and offer repairs and service for any PC. Very quick turnaround time for most repairs. I have consistently received an honest and accurate diagnosis on my computer and found his prices for service and hardware to be extremely fair. Thank you, Steve, for all your work! read more

I took my security camera dvr hard drive to be replaced on Friday afternoon. Steve told me it would be around $110 to install a new hard drive. He said he would call me Monday. Didn't hear from anyone so I called Tuesday after 5. Steve told me he couldn't retrieve the info from my hard drive (I didn't request that because I knew it crashed). He said it would cost $230 to replace the hard drive. I declined and went to pick it up. I went to Best Buy & bought the hard drive for $75 (tax included) & $50 for Geek-squad to install it. I was hoping this would be place I could count on but I guess not. read more

I needed my computer cleaned out because it was about 4 years old and I don't know anything about cleaning it. It was so slow that when I would have a zoom conference, I'd have to start checking in 30 minutes to an hour before just to get online. Steve was fast to get it all cleaned out and my computer acts like a brand new one now. I would take my computer there again! Very friendly! read more

Steve and his staff are amazing. I had a USB flash drive that broke and I was desperate to get the data off it. They were able to help me. I also had an old external hard drive from desktop that was damaged and needed the data from that too. Again, they worked a miracle and were able to get the data I needed. This was going to a few other computer repair places in town and was told in both cases the data was lost and unrecoverable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Steve was extremely helpful! He assisted in diagnosing the issue with my laptop and instead of trying to charge me he told me if I have a warranty for it then go through the warranty company. He saved me money and was honest!! That is very rare in this day and age, which I appreciate it greatly I will be back and will always refer Steve! read more

I have a two year old Dell laptop that would not turn on. Steve had it up and running in a couple of minutes. He then diagnosed it and gave me several options for how to recover my files, at no cost. He was very thorough, knowledgable, nice and honest. If I ever have anymore computer issues, I will most definitely come back and see him. read more

Needed to get my laptop repaired after dropping it on concrete while in S.A for business and saw this shop. The owner explained everything that was wrong and what would need to be done. (i was beyond upset at this point) He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the hardware and software. Prices are beyond reasonable and my laptop is working better than ever. I was still mad but he did a quality job and treated me better than GeekSquad. Thanks Steve. read more

Incredibly helpful and restored our computer desktop within the timeline quoted. I am truly impressed. Thank you!

I dropped off my computer three weeks ago and still don't have it back. Steve will not call me with updates on his own. I've driven there twice and find locked doors. I call all the time. Stay away from here. Seemed like a cool guy, but he could not care less it seems. read more
