So they said would check it. It sat for another 4-5 days until we finally called to see if it was done. They told us they wanted to give it a tune up and sharpen the blade. My husband had already done a tune up and we needed the blade bent back into place. He went to pick it up and they charged him $30 and said it was fine. I just tried to mow a strip of my lawn and it was dying the whole time. Then it just completely died. It won't start again. So, they didn't help us at all. Now we just need to buy a new lawnmower Very disappointing that our lawnmower sat there for 2 weeks while our lawn looks terrible and now we don't even have a lawn mower.

This place is a certified Murray lawn mower repair shop. When first coming here the place looks a…read morebit run down. It's like they've just remodel an old barn, but didn't really pain over the outside. The service department is behind the main entrance. They would ask you to bring your car around to drop off and pick up your lawn mower. Totally recommend back up, because if you drive up and then reverse back out it is a hassle. There is a bit of a hill, so I totally recommending securing your lawn mower before driving off or else it can roll off or even hit your back wind shield. They timeline they give you when you first drop off your lawn mower isn't accurate at all. When I dropped off my lawn mower they told me that they will do some diagnostics and get back to me by Monday or Tuesday. Well Thursday rolled around and I haven't heard from them. I had to call to ask them what was wrong and apparently they haven't gotten to it yet. The guy who answered the phone made me felt like I was stupid...I called to asked for an update and the guy said "obviously we didn't get to it yet, but let me check". I was a bit thrown off by that response. Well right after my call with them they did manage to get to my lawn mower and fixed it quickly. They called me back like 3 hours after to tell me my lawn mower was fixed. They are opened really weird hours, esp on Saturday. They are only open 9-2. Before the Yelp page had that they opened from 9-4. That threw me off and I went around three only to find out it was closed. When I finally got my lawn mower back, the repair price wasn't that bad. It cost me around $70. Quick service, horrible customer service, and a decent price. Well what can I say, they do get the job done.

Observed this with my needs and with other customers. Made a large power tool purchase. Was pleased with price. Very pleased with sales staff and learning how to use new equipment. Received nice tips on proper use and how to get most from new toys. Highly recommend this shop and its staff members.

I've had it in for their "major tune up" service twice, after two mows. Both times, they tell me a list of things wrong with it which they've fixed, and both times they've told me, with much attitude, I'm somehow using the mower wrong. What I'm doing wrong: Mowed weeds (yes, I have a dandelion here or there); put deck too low (I guess the mower is designed with more positions that can be safely used?); put in too much oil (uh... you guys put in the oil); mowed on a hill or slope (yes, my yard has a gentle slope); mowed when the bag was too full and/or mulched (I empty the bag, duh, and, guys, it's called the "Recycler" mulching mower?). I've been mowing my lawn weekly for 23 years with three or four mowers and never had a problem like this, so whatever I'm doing "wrong" is only wrong with the mower they sold me. They finally suggested that I sell the mower as used equipment in the local market and then buy a new one. Because this one, brand new, apparently has nothing wrong with it. Except it overheats after 20 minutes of use. Instead of trying to help me out, they urge me to pass the problem to somebody else? I can go to Wal*Mart and (a) get a cheaper mower, (b) better customer service, and (c) a functional return/replace policy. Which is sad, to say the least. Especially for a place that does only one thing and cheerfully tells you they are the best at doing it. Do yourself a big favor and skip this place entirely. They are long on excuses and dismissive attitude, but short on everything else.
