Kyson diagnosed and repaired a "head scratcher" problem with my 20+ year old Toro lawnmower. After setting up a time for him to come to my home, Kyson called prior to the appointed time saying that he was on was his way. Upon arrival, I mentioned to him that I had a lawnmower that wouldn't start and that I had checked all the usual "suspects" - spark plug, air filter, oil & gas. I had a Troy Bilt push mower that had been sitting under a tarp all winter after moving to Utah from North Carolina, and come spring time I needed to mow my lawn. I put fresh gas in it, changed the spark plug and oil, but it still wouldn't start. I called these guys after being referred by family and Rich came out and did an awesome job tuning up my machine and getting it dialed and ready for a season of use. I feel like he went above and beyond by doing a complete work up instead of just a quick carb clean. He adjusted the rpm settings to maximize output, sharpened the blade and air hoses out everything. After one stellar mow job I snapped the cable after catching it on my chain link fence and these guys came in for the rescue again. I texted them a picture of my model number, they got the right cable and came back within days. Now I'm back at it and couldn't be happier with the performance of my mower! Disappointed! Disappointed! Disappointed! Asked to have them come fix my lawn mower. Technician came to my home, 10 minutes later he left. My 28 year old son was home and watched him look at it and leave. The Technician emails me, charging me 71.93 And Didn't Fix My Lawn Mower. He tells me I need a carburetor which will be 40 bucks, plus ANOTHER SERVICE FEE of 71.93 to come back out. 183.86 total. Dang! I could buy a new lawnmower for that. Go elsewhere . read more

My fiancé and I recently moved to Salt Lake. We're renting a house, and there was a lawnmower provided for us to take care of the lawn. I got it out on Saturday, and put some gas in it (after I had to go to Sears to get a replacement gas cap, with which the asshats who lived here previously either absconded or otherwise destroyed) and pulled the cord -- started like a charm. We had other things planned for the day, and I just wanted to see if it would start, so I turned it off and returned it to the shed to pursue the plans for the day we'd otherwise had: baking ourselves for 8 hours in the sun doing other yard-related labor. So, the next day, I pull the rig out, bring it out front and give 'er another go: Yank. Nothing. Yank. Nothing. Yank. Nothing. Prime-prime-prime. Yan-SNAP! The bloody cord snapped. Upon further inspection, it looked like the last guy to fix it used grandma's old clothes line to replace the pull cord. So, we call the property management company, to see what can be done about getting this bugger fixed or replaced. We were advised to get someone to come and look at it, and bill them directly. Great -- sounded good to us! I turns out that there aren't as many house-call-making lawnmower repair outfits as you'd assume. We were starting to think we were going to have to chuck the blasted thing in the back of our hatchback and take it somewhere... until I found Crowell's Flying Wrench (imagine that was accompanied by court-of-the-king-grade fanfare) on here. Thanks to the distinctive stylings of Mr. Stuart M., I learned that they travel. So we call them. As it turns out, the outfit is helmed by owner-operator, Kyson. Will you come fix our lawnmower? Yes? Can you bill our property management company directly? Yes?!? When can you get here??? Kyson was able to get here today, and had the lawnmower fixed up and purring like a kitten in no time. He was very nice and courteous, ready with a handshake and a smile. I can't speak to prices, as we're not paying for his services ourselves, but as Stuart mentions, it's $45 for him to come out, which is actually a pretty standard minimum charge for such service and covers the first hour's labor -- should he need that much time to fix what ails your equipment. We'll certainly be calling Kyson again, should we need assistance in the future, and I urge you to do the same! read more

The best part is they come to you. You don't have to load your lawnmower and leave it someplace for weeks at a time. They were on time and quick to fix/diagnose my 25 year old lawnmower. They got me back up and running with a sharpened blade for under $75. They had the part that was needed in their service van and were done with everything in about 30 minutes. A thick buried fallen branch got into my snowblower and broke the shear pins. I called and they said they were very busy but made an appt in about a week. Came right on time and got it fixed promptly, tested it out, and charged a reasonable price. He (Kyson?) is very friendly and helpful. He indicated that the engine was running a bit rough but said he didn't think it was bad enough to warrant the cost of a carburetor tune-up.. I called Sears to have them come out and fix my craftsman snowblower. They told me that it would be $100 for them to just come look at it but not even fix it. I have a large snowblower and I wasn't looking forward to hauling it into a repair store somewhere. (With mowers, this includes changing oil, new spark plugs, new air filter, new oil filter, sharpen blades, level mower deck, tighten cables.) He is fantastic.
