Was looking to replace my 25 yr old Toro lawnmower which was still operating pretty well. Had done considerable research on options including battery powered. Had looked online and at big box but wanted to give Jordan a shot. Mellisa helped me both times I visited. Kept it very simple but answered all my questions. When I came back to purchase that was simple too. Came assembled and she filled it with gas plus price was very competitive. I've used it all summer and very happy. Bought mod 21565 21" super recycle. Mulches & bags great. Self propelled is big improvement. I was leaning battery but saw a lot of models that were only lasting a few years and especially batteries not lasting. Seems to defeat the purpose of going away from gas. So much waste to landfill etc. if I can get 20 years out of this one I think it's the right choice. Would highly recommend you stop into Jordan if in market for new lawnmower. I got the mower described in previous post out for the first real mow of the season. Anticipating no issues I was disappointed to find the mower was under powered. I started checking around and it was over filled with oil a bit. As I siphoned some off I noted the oil did not look new. It appeared to me they had not actually drained all the old oil out. It still lacked power. I took the air cover off and the air filter was missing! I took it back and expressed my disappointment in their service. To their credit without complaint and hesitation they fixed these issues in a timely manner and did not try to charge me. The said some spring was not connected that was causing the power issue. So in the end I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it was not them trying to cheat me into buying a new mower but rather it was incompetence on someone's part. Hopefully that person that did the initial service has been now properly trained or no longer works there. I am cheering for the small businesses in general but you need superior service to compete. read more

Have an old commercial mower where the old Honda engine finally blew. Everything else about my mower still worked great. Came here to ask about simply replacing the engine. Guys said no problem and suggested a few motors that would work with my mower. I decided to stick with Honda as the previous one lasted so long. Had my mower back in less than a week and for a lot cheaper than buying a whole new mower. read more

I did some research and decided to purchase a Stihl weed eater. I first went to CAL Ranch Store and I approached an associate and told him I what model I wanted and he told me they were out of stock. The employee didn't even look up from him clipboard. I then drove to ACE hardware and the floor model was the only one in stock. Since I was going to pay over 300 bucks I didn't want the floor model. They were slightly more helpful then CAL but not by much. I then drove to Jordan Mower. I got helped once I walked through the door. After I decided to purchase the weed eater. The owner filled up the gas and started it up for me. He showed me the basic operations and even showed me how to wrap the spooling for the head of the weed eater. I was so shocked at the level of service I received. At the end of the purchase the owner told me if I had any questions on the stuff we covered to call me. He then told me to come in if I had any issues. Highly recommend! read more

Jordan Mower is awesome. I have bought several lawn mowers and snow blowers from them in the past 10 years. I have also had them do service on all of my equipment. I just took my snowblower in as it would not stay started. They went out of their way to get it serviced and I was amazed how fast they got it done. Horrible customer service. They are hesitant to sell you parts; "Are you sure you know what you are doing?" Then when the parts arrived they stated they couldn't find them....without looking. I just stood there and waited. It was late, they wanted to close, so the parts I had already paid for the week before miraculously appeared. read more

I took in a blade for my wood chipper to be sharpened. I was happy with the turn-around time of one day. Although I didn't get a call to let me know it was done, I showed up at the end of the day just hoping. I will just say that the quality of the job was only as good as I could have done myself free-hand with a grinder. I spent 15 minutes finishing it up myself. And the price was higher than I was lead to believe it would be by twice. Also only about 1 in 5 employees were wearing a face mask and they had several elderly customers (who weren't wearing face masks either.) Today Covid19 is going very bad in Utah with over 900 cases a day and climbing. I won't be going back. read more

Do not use them. They say parts are bad and give you parts that were not even on your machine. They charge an arm and a leg and don't clear the work with you. Not to mention it took them for ever. I would never use the cheats again. read more

One of our employees took our mower in for repair. My wife went into check on it and they did the repairs without our approval and now want to charge us $250. She asked whu did they call to verify the charges they said they were too busy to call us. They said its a $400 mower so they just thought we would want it done. She then asked what would they give us for the mower as a trade-in...they said $50. NEVER take anything to this company for repair. read more

We stopped in just to see what a new Stihl 170 chain saw might cost me.  I was looking at replacing a 20+ year old Poulan that I let sit for too long and now needed work.  (A VERY inexpensive saw to begin with.)  So, I thought it might be better to just replace it, rather than put more money into it.  The goober shown in the above photos immediately (and VERY loudly) asked us why we were there, and my wife said: "We are looking at a Stihl MS 170 to cut down some trees at our property in Indianola".  He then replied: "that saw wont work, too high of altitude".  I told him that the property is only at 6600' and it should be fine.  He insisted that "the 170 is a "home owners" saw only, and is only made to work in the Salt Lake Valley".  I asked if the carburetor was adjustable?  He said yes, but it wouldn't make any difference.  He then proceeded to try to up sale me to a $1600 professional saw.  I stopped talking to him after realizing the situation.  But, my wife continued to argue with the bozo.  We then just left.  Long story short, I had my old Poulin's carb cleaned out, (elsewhere) and rebuilt, for less than half of what I "WOULD HAVE SPENT" on the Stihl.  And it runs like a champ now even at our 6600' elevation property.  I also purchased another brand new Poulan that I found on sale elsewhere that works just fine at the same altitude.  That new Poulan is basically the Poulan equivalent of the Stihl that I was going to buy.  Whoever actually owns this shop needs to know that this guy is costing them business! read more

This has got to be the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time!!! An employee wouldn't sell me a part that I wanted. I pointed and told him I have that exact mower. He told me he's worked there for 24 years. And I said I'll take the replacement part and I'll take the chance, even though I know what mower I own. He said no, and asked me where I work? I answered and he replied I don't go to your work and tell you how to do your job! Wow!!! I will never bring or recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!!! Go to Pearsons!! read more

Took my mower in well of 3 weeks ago for a tune up told me it would be 2 weeks called last Monday to see when it would be ready they Thursday or Friday and they would call us... called today they said it now would be Wednesday... went and got my mower there is no Communication amongst their staff...would not recommend.. read more

Took my New pressure washer in to be fixed, as they are the Authorized Service Center for the warranty work. they told me it would be 2 weeks, I called after 3 weeks only to be told it needed a pump, I said sure what ever it is under warranty. They were bothered that I asked for it to be fixed? said they would look into it and give me a call back, again after 2 weeks I called to check on it and they said it was finished. showing up to pick it up they were EXTREMLY RUDE and told me what a POS it is.... Having been very disappointed with the quality of service of a couple of other mower tuneup businesses I decided to try Jordan Mower for my 20+ year Snapper's tuneup. The personnel including the mechanic were to the point, thorough and friendly. I was given ten days out for completion time. I received a completed call within seven days. The price was not that of some "back yard" mechanic but reasonable and fair. The old Snapper starts and runs a good as it did when it was new. I'll be back! read more
