They are an EGO dealer and supplier and that's why I was here, to get a replacement part. I previously ordered a part for my EGO snowblower online and got it for cheap and it came in a timely manner. This time I went directly to the store because I needed the part today. Was pleasantly surprised to see how complete their inventory is. The service was friendly. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I have had a still chainsaw MS 391 for years that I have always struggled to start. Danny, the girl at the counter is an expert at still chainsaw! She shared a great tack with the saw. I went into to get help from Seth from Cutler's. He wasn't there, and my hopes dropped; however, he ran out to see me as I was fixing the lawnmower. He lifted my lawnmower up with his shoe, told me how to unbolt it, and then helped me assemble everything all back together again. While I was there, I thought I better look and see if he could if it was self-propelled or not. When I tried to start it up, I realized that I was completely out of gas. Seth brought me some gas. Then, he told me so much great information about what to do with the lawnmower. He suggested that I didn't need to fix the front tire until next year. He could have earned Cutler's some money, but he wanted to be very careful with my finances and only do the repairs that I needed and wanted to do. He was so helpful in going through everything and helping me see the order of the different items I should fix. At the end, he helped me put the lawnmower back into my van. 6 minutes ago I would have given this place a 5 star rating especially after looking at all the reviews but I'm not so impressed anymore. My husband took our mower in about 3 weeks ago (yes it takes that long because apparently there are very few "good" lawn mower repair places around the Provo, Orem area. Our mower had been sputtering and refusing to start up. Looking the problem up on several different sites on the internet it could have been a dirty carburetor, burnt out spark plug or dirty filter or contaminated gas. Not to hard to fix and should not cost me very much, WRONG!!!! We had changed the oil before coming in so that was not the problem. When I picked it up it cost me over $85.02, $59.50 of it was for labor. Well, ok... steep but as long as it works. We got it home (this was on this last Saturday). My son started it up. The engine start up was really weak and barely able to start cutting the front lawn. He makes a couple of passes and the engine dies. He tries starting it again and it sputters and won't start. This is what it did when we 1st brought it in. When I looked at the receipt again it said they changed the oil (it was new oil), cleaned up the underside ( it wasn't that dirty), changed the filter (that was dirty) changed the spark plug which wasn't burnt and sharpened the blades. This is a fairly new Troy bilt. The carburetor was not cleaned at all. I called them and left a voice mail. I was nice about it, things happen. No one returned my call. Called yesterday and was on hold for over 30 minutes and hung up. Called again, this time left another voice mail...so far no one has called back. I understand their bread and butter comes from new mower and out door equipment sales, but to blow off people who are just trying to get a repair done quickly and correctly so they don't get fined by the city....my husband just had a stroke while all of this has been going on. All I asked for was just a reliable place to get our mower taken care of quickly and reliably is that to much to ask for? 1 read more

I walked into a cutlers (a Suzuki dealership) to see if they could get my bike started after sitting for a couple months during winter. Dave told me yes, but they wont work on modified motorcycles. I said okay... my bike just has an after market exhaust... would that work? He said yes. I needed it to be picked up and he would call to schedule it in a couple days (was snowing at the time). He never called.... A couple weeks later I had a friend help load my bike and took it down there myself. they took it In, great. A week later I get a call, Dave seemed a little pissed and said "hey you need to come pick up your bike, you have a power commander on the bike. We lifted up the seat and there's wires everywhere and it's a mess ect ect." I told him okay but that's not a power commander, it's just LED lights hooked up to the battery, which I forgot to mention because it's still not a modification to the engine and can be removed in a couple minutes... anyways, they tried to then charge me 50 dollars for a diagnostic which he (Dave) repeated twice saying, "that once he lifted the seat and saw the wires he freaked".... So when I talked to the owner, I told him that's really disappointed that you're a Suzuki dealership, you won't help me fix a 2011 bike that is pretty much stock... you want to charge me 50 dollars for a diagnostic where your man Dave already told you that all his tech did was lift the seat... like what? Anyways... I'm extremely disappointed with this company, the owner, the service department manager Dave or whatever his name is (like who confuses a LED light for a power commander ‍ , come on man), the techs who can't work on a 10 year old suzuki motorcycle... I was warned about Cutler's value(price compared to work performed) when I asked a friend, about getting my edger serviced here. I ignored my friend's advice, and still took it in. I was told 3 weeks from the time of dropoff, by 2 different associates. I did not pay attention to the estimated "date" when I initialed for the service, which is absolutely my own fault. I own that part! I trusted both employees' assertion that it would be done within the 3-week window. I called after 2 weeks to make sure that it would be done by that 3-week date. I was told by that service rep that "you may have been told 3 weeks, but the paperwork says June 16th". I did the math for that person and let them know that is actually 4 weeks. She said "I understand, we will see what we can do!" I now realize that was to simply get me off the phone, with no intention of moving that June 16th date up to help me out. I then called in when the 3 weeks were up. I again was told that it says June 16th and that the notes from the previous call with the rep told me that....nothing in the notes about trying to get it done sooner. The previous rep clearly left out the part about trying to work with me for the misunderstanding. I asked the rep on today's call if it could be done by this Friday, which is beyond the 3 weeks. I was told by that rep "I am not gonna work on it. you can come and pick it up!" When I got there, I was shown by the original employee who told me 3 weeks, that I had initialed next to June 16th. I told him "that is clearly my fault for not paying attention to the date printed, but that does not change the fact that YOU told me 3 weeks! Can you please own what you told me?" His response, "I am not gonna argue with you!" Tells me all I need to know about customer service....TOO PROUD TO ADMIT THEIR OWN ERROR!! I had gotten over the price, which is why I went there in the first place. Being deceived, or flat out lied to, is completely unacceptable. I refused to leave my edger there for another week out of principle! I will never go to Cutler's again and will discourage anyone who asks to do so. Great products, lousy service. I hate to be this negative I don't like to go off on companies with Evan has a bad day but today I had my second very negative experience with their customer service. The first time they were almost 2 weeks late getting a repair done and then when they did they didn't replace the part they bent it back into place. Gratefully the manager later on apologize for this after I'd left it sent us a $75 gift certificate to make up for the poor customer service. Today I went and stand stood in front of the customer service area where he was helping a customer for 10 minutes and he never acknowledge me until I left and headed out the door they hear the word sir. I don't know what was taking so long and why I was so engrossed on his computer, maybe he was quitting is on JavaScript, or the program he was looking at was written in Japanese and he was having to use Google translate to understand what he's looking at...But that's just the point he made no acknowledgment of me being there standing 3 feet away from him holding a chainsaw I was helping this other customer for 10 minutes. "hey I'll be about five minutes this is in take a while do you want to come back later"...After my patients was exhausted of waiting for 10 minutes I left and that's only when I heard him say "sir". I assume this location employees more than one person to help customers, perhaps they were on all on their lunch break I could hear Two or three employees through the open door laughing and enjoying themselves while I was waiting. The point is customer service should be about serving the customers needs, communicating with the customer, I assume they wanted my money apparently I was wrong. I've been happy with my product that I purchased at this location I just really dislike their approach with customers. I will not take my Stihl saws anywhere else, they are hands down the best Stihl repair/maintenance shop in Utah. I can do 90% of all my repairs on my own, but when I really need something complicated done there is no other place to go! Yes they are busy, yes sometimes it takes a few minutes to get helped, but they are worth the wait. Every lawnmower, weed whacker, and saw I have brought here has been fixed right the first time and they stand behind their work! The gentleman I worked with was extremely nice and he didn't just get me a spark plug and ring me up, he explained how to know the right one to get and was very knowledgeable and nice. Been coming to Cutlers for 20+ years since I ran a very small lawn mowing business in my neighborhood. The Cutler family and employees have always been knowledgeable, fair and professional. Within the past year we have bought a small/fun cub cadet ride lawn mower, a Stihl blower, a Stihl hedge trimmer, a Honda walk behind mower and recently a Honda snow blower and karcher pressure washer. All have been perfect except the pressure washer has a manufacturers defect that Cutlers identified before I even took it home for the first time. I feel at times I pay a little more and wait a hair longer than I might at a big box store but I know at Cutlers I'm getting a better product, getting better service and it takes time and effort for each of their customers to get that touch not offered elsewhere. read more

My lawn mower was under warranty and it wouldn't start . They said the fuel looked dirty and would need a carburetor cleaning but a new carburetor replacement would be the same price as a cleaning . I told them well the mower isn't any good to me if it won't start so replace the carburetor . Two weeks later I went to pick it up and they said their was a recall on my lawn mower . The automatic chokes all needed replacement they were faulty and so it was done too. When a automatic choke goes bad any lawn mower won't start . I called after 3 weeks and was told it had not been started yet but it was next on the list. So I got it back in 3 1/2 weeks. I have been a Cutler's customer for almost 15 years. They carry great equipment and have always treated me fair. They have even serviced things for me that they don't carry and done it fast and efficiently. They have always given honest assessments of my equipment and twice shown me how the cost to repair was not in my favor. They were right, so I ran them until they died and sold them as scrap metal. I read some reviews complaining that they take too long for repairs. I have noticed that there are a few times like right when mowing season starts, they get so much work that they can barely keep up. The service guys also get interrupted to do an initial service on things that they sell. They always caution me that they are swamped and give me the option to leave it now or come back in a few weeks when things aren't so busy. I think that is very fair. I also appreciate how knowledgable they are on equipment and how they don't try to pressure me into buying something. I bought a new Walker mower from them last year, but I had been asking questions about it for several years before I bought it. They always treated me like a "good customer" and not an "old tire kicker" that just asks questions and never buys. When it's busy you may have to wait for someone, and service does take longer than I would like. But in all fairness, so would any other shop in town. In fact, if that shop wasn't busy too, you should really wonder why. Bottom line, they are always my first choice and "go to store" for service and sales. read more
