Had my bike repaired at Monarch after I got rear-ended. The repair went smoothly, but when I picked up the bike, they pointed out that the rear fender was damaged and still needed to be replaced and that they would submit another claim to the insurance. A couple weeks later, Monarch told me that insurance had paid for the fender and the service fee and that the fender was at Monarch ready to be installed. Since it was now winter, I let them know that I had winterized my bike and wasn't likely to get back down there until the Spring. They said that was perfectly alright and that the part would be there whenever I was ready. Fast forward to the Spring, and I call to make sure the fender is there. Alex confirms it was paid for and that I can come pick it up and just do the install myself. I send my son to get the fender, but when he gets there, the story changes. Alex now says that my part was 'forfeited' after 30 days and that if I want a new one that I'll have to pay for it. So, Monarch was paid for both the part and the install fee, never told me about the 30-day forfeiture policy, and in fact told me there was no issue with waiting until Spring, and is now giving me the stiff arm as their final answer. Not cool! Be careful with Monarch! Update: After the review was posted, I was contacted and told that they would provide the fender, so rating upgraded from 1 to 4. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MONARCH!!! I have purchased 2 Honda motorcycles, and was going to purchase a 3rd, but the salesman lied to me about a Riders Advantage service contract. He stated I would be better off getting the contract at $1200.00 than paying for each service individually. He NEVER stated there was a 24 month use or lose on it. I have 2 services completed, and when I went for my 3rd, I was told my service contract expired. I spent exactly $559.29 of my service contract, and was now told sorry you can't use it, you need to pay for future service. You can see my frustration I was ripped off $640.71. I asked to speak with the owner. He called me and was incredibly condescending. Stating it was MY fault for not riding more in 24 months. I was beyond pissed. he told me he would find a solution, and would call back. He never called back. Instead he had his service manager call ( Rudy ) great guy BTW. Rudy said they would do a full service on my bike at no charge. Well, my bike didn't need it, all it needed was an oil change. Regardless I had the work done. In total it was $433.43. I am now upside down over $207.28. The owner did not care, the salesman lied for commission, and now this place has lost my business. Not going to buy the motorcycle there I plan on buying for my son, no more gear, batteries, oil changes nothing. All this could have easily been resolved with a calm demeaner from the owner, a solution of holding up their end of the bargain and an apology. If the owner calls me and resolves this one way or another I will delete this review, until then, I will make sure anyone I know into power sports is made aware to stay away from Monarch. read more

No stars. Sons bike quit running so we had Monarch pick it up for us. 2-1/2 weeks later they told me they ran it and can't find any problems. Charged me $270 to change the oil and coolant (at least they told me they did). Son picked up the bike and got 5 miles away from Monarch and it sputtered to a stop. Wasted time and money to have anything done at Monarch PowerSports. Not sure how the rest of the departments are but the PowerSports team is worthless. read more

Great experience buying a Honda HSS1332ATD snowblower (the monster 32" model that can fire snow over your neighbor's house :). They were super busy and I could see them scrambling but they made the effort to assure I was squared away. Showed me how to operate this snow beast, filled it with oil and fresh gas and loaded it up in my truck for me. The attitude of the employees was pretty awesome, you can tell they liked being there, at least the ones that helped me. It was an upbeat place and I'd make the drive to work with them again. read more

Bought a 450 in 2017 from here and took it back to get 40 hr inspection and clutch fixed. Bought new clutch FROM MONARCH. They gave me the wrong springs and it broke my clutch basket inside the case. Took it back to have them fix it and they just charged me for an hour of "diagnostic" work while taking all my shit apart, and giving it back in bags. Definitely not paying these guys to tear an engine apart for $3000. Also dropped off a CR125 with no spark. Tech told me it wouldn't even start cause it's not the right carb Obviously that tech doesn't know about electricity or circuits. Took both bikes apart and I received them back in pieces. Charged me $300+ just to tell me what I already knew and lost my shit. Told them I'd sell all my bikes and find a new hobby before I returned here. -10/10 Buying a bike from here is easy. Getting them to fix it is worth then pulling teeth. Honda has such great bikes but the shittiest STEALerships in Utah. Monarch Honda and Honda World are rip offs. Buy a KTM. read more

After dealing with 2 other Honda dealers who one couldn't get the bike I wanted and one sold it out from under me after I put money down (Honda World) I came to Monarch when this should of been my first stop. Kevin help me with getting the first CRF450WE and promised it was mine. Couple weeks later Rob the GM followed up letting me know bike had come in, got it done and in the back of my truck same day and I'm now a very happy owner of Honda CRF450R. I called in to get a price on some tire changes. The guy told me it would be 50 for the front and 55 for the rear plus tax. I booked it and took it in. When dropping off, the front desk guy told me that the price is going to be 120 plus tax. They called me and said that the tech broke his hex driver trying to pull of the exhaust bolt. Send me this picture telling me my stainless steel bolt broke their tool! They told me they may not be able to get to it by end of day, then said they would try and fix it. I then got a call telling me that it was fixed and ready to pick up (never communicating that it would cost more to fix their mess up!). So I head to the shop, the guy gives me the bill and it came to 165.00 I never agreed to paying more for someone taking extra time to fix their broken tool. Specially if the picture he sent me shows a possible incorrect hex driver jammed in my bolt. I argued that I shouldn't have to pay for their tool breaking and he kept saying it was due to my rusty bolt a stainless exhaust bolt may look tan in color due to heating up and cooling down and gets discolored but one things for sure, stainless doesn't rust!!! Anyway, they blamed my bike for the break. I told them if the bolt was bad, it would've broke my bolt right! Another issue was that I took my old tires with me and they still charged me for disposal! In the end, they wouldn't do anything about it and keep looking at me like they were right and the customer was wrong! I had my first and hopefully last encounter with Monarch. The sales man are typical promise the world to you and then look at you like you're a liar when you bring it up at closing. They also have horrible communication skills. Is it really that hard to call or text someone to tell them your bike is sold. I had them sell a motorcycle for me and I had to call them to find out they sold it. Then it took 6 days of me calling them to get them to take the check to the bank. The experience taught me a lot about how naïve I was thinking a dealer would be great to work with. read more

I have been and could (potentially) be a good customer. However ..., the kind of attitude demonstrated by Brandon today just confirms (once again), how poor the Service Department continues to treat it's customers. This has been going on for years now. What's up with Monarch? You guys did a great remodel of your showroom and Parts Department recently! Now, work on training and hiring employees who can help you gain and retain your customers. I would love to continue doing business with Monarch, especially since I live so close. But almost every time I try and do business with the Service Dept. someone over always seems to disappoint me with either an immature or otherwise cocky attitude. We bought scooters here a few years back and took them in for maintenance, tune up, battery work--general fix-it-stuff to make them run dependably. The work has introduced us to Rob, Chris, and Solomon specifically, but my positive review is directed at their overall company culture: respect and attentiveness that makes us happy to interact with them. In the old days, it wasn't called customer service, but was simply an expected relationship between humans in a friendly business transaction. Now a days, I find it exceedingly rare, yet at Monarch, it's pervasive! We have never encountered anyone who isn't cheerful, knowledgeable, helpful, and reassuring. There is the normal give and take but through it all, they have communicated, quoted honest prices, worked to correct mistakes, and gone out of their way to build trust and loyalty. Everyone from the owner, to the service tech, to the clerk, to the pick up/delivery guy is fully invested in customer care. I enjoy dealing with them. That means a lot to me. read more

They've always been friendly, negotiated a fair price, are never hard to get in contact with if you need them and they remember who their customers are. I recently had the privilege of working with Monarch Honda and the ownership there. I was preparing to run the Baja 1000 with my 14 year old son and was in need of help with titling of a used Honda motorcycle I had purchased on KSL. The owner of Monarch Honda in Orem spent unpaid time with me and worked to get my title issue resolved even though it did not bring any compensation to his company. April, 2021. I took my brand new Honda road bike in for it's first service (600 miles). I usually do all maintenance myself on all my vehicle. The service required an oil change and a visual inspection. I made an appointment, then took the bike in. At the end of the day I called to see if I could pick up the bike, they said they probably could not get to it because all the bikes that came in for the day. I reminded them I made an appointment and I just did not show up. They then said they would have it completed at closing time. The bike was dripping with oil and the engine oil caps were barely hanging on. The bike had grease and hand prints on it. While checking the oil level, the oil was completely full. Way past the high mark, the whole sight glass was full. The tech said it was only slight residual oil leaking. I placed my hand under the cowling to find the bottom of the bike completely saturated with oil. I told them that this was completely unacceptable. I left it overnight again and picked it up the following day, I took the bike home and decided to check the oil level again. I found that it was full, well above the full mark. I took the bike back again and waited while a different tech drained the right amount of oil out of the bike. I could have easily done this myself but I paid them $130 for the service and felt like they needed to correct the problem. So, in summary, I paid them high dollar for the worst service I have ever received. The management made no attempt to make anything right, in fact they made excuses and did the bare minimum to get me out of there. I would not take any vehicle to Monarch Honda in Orem, Utah. I gave them one star, they really deserve zero stars. Beware of this dealership. read more

I really wanted to buy a certain motorcycle from here. I did my research, had the cash, got my license, and went in only to find out they won't let me test drive it. I understand them being cautious of a new driver, but a flat out, discourteous no isn't the best way to go about it. If you're scared...make me sign a full liability waiver, check my credit, offer a tandem ride, limit me to the parking lot, etc. But telling me "it's not that I don't trust you, I just don't want you to ride my bike" is not a cool way to go about it. It doesn't do much to promote confidence nor a helpful attitude. I've been in there 3 times now and I don't feel like anyone actually wants to help. I recommend taking your money elsewhere to someone willing to work hard for it. There's certainly better deals, and undoubtedly better customer service to be had elsewhere. read more

The worst experience I have ever had. Took my 2002 Goldwing in on July 7. They said they needed to schedule a whole day to do diagnostics on it and the first day they would have would be July 31. I left the bike there because they said they may be able to get to it sooner. On July 30 I get a phone call from them asking me if I'm going to come in for my July 31 appointment. I was confused. And told them they've had my bike since July 7. They apologized and said they should've looked at the notes. That was a Thursday. I never heard from them at all that Friday. So Saturday morning I called them to ask about my bike. The shop manager said that he was just going to call me to get permission to do two hours worth of diagnostics on it. I was upset because they had me sign permission on July 7th to do that work. Monarch didn't even look at my bike on July 31 which was my scheduled appointment. Three whole weeks just sitting there. Now on Saturday a few hours late they call me to tell me they can't find anything and that it will be another $2000 just to find the problem, not fix it but find it. Originally when I took it and he said if they had to redo the whole engine would be around $2500. Now they're saying will be 2000 just to try and find the problem. I told them to put the bike back together I would take it somewhere else. I never heard from them all week so today Saturday I going to pick the bike up and it is still on the rack not put together. I can't believe these guys. I would not go there if you need any serious work. They don't seem to want it or don't know how to do it. Either way look for someone else. read more

TL;DR: They seem to have an issue with telling the whole truth. Now for the review: They have a good selection of parts and accessories. If they don't have a part they can get it in pretty quick. The reason I give one star is because of the lies I have been told. I bought a motorcycle off of a friend who said they always had it serviced at Monarch Honda. I went in to see what had recently been done to the bike and they wouldn't let me have a copy of the service history. That's not the issue because I can understand if he would have told me that it was their policy, but what I don't understand is why he told me it was due to the PATRIOT act which has nothing to do with businesses and customers. They did let me know some of the work that had been done on it, which was nice, but they didn't have to lie and tell me that I couldn't have a written or printed copy of the history due to an unrelated act of congress. - The worst though was on a different occasion when I was looking into getting a replacement regulator/rectifier for my bike. They told me that the aftermarket option for this part had no warranty and that I should go with the OEM option which is twice as expensive, but has a six month warranty. That didn't sound quite right to me, so when I went home I continued my research and found that the manufacturer of the same aftermarket part said on the product page that the part comes with a 1 year warranty even if purchased through a local dealer or other website. So, unless they're sourcing their parts from a shady third party, the parts they sell should be covered by that warranty. - I could see both of these issues as coming from ignorance. Maybe the tech didn't really know why he wasn't supposed to give me a printout of the service history. Maybe he could have, but thought that he couldn't. I'm not sure of the real reason. Maybe the person working at the parts counter didn't know that the aftermarket part really had a better warranty than the OEM part. However, I would prefer that if I'm going to pay for work to be done on my bike I want the truth and not some half-cocked response that turns out to be a lie. I would much rather hear "I don't know, but I can find out" or "I'm not sure" than be given some untruth through ignorance or not. read more

Scratched motorcycle ! I had debated where to take my 2005 because of a carburetor problem . I have heard bad reviews and person experiences from people about the way monarch does business with no up front prices and over charging in the end . But I did decided to take my motorcycle there because it's a Honda right ! Bike was there for about 3 weeks and the price quoted was reasonable . Picked up the bike ran great and the price was as quoted ! Except for the fact the giant scratch all the way to the metal by the carb on the gas tank ! When asked about this they would not own up to it bounced me around to every manager ! In the end they told me there is nothing we will do for you it's not there problem and they didn't do it and the only way to try to solve the problem is attorney and court ! read more

Worst dealership ever! I bought a new bike from them in May. The bike leaks gas everywhere. They don't know whats wrong, cant fix it, wont replace or refund the bike. Every time the bike has been in the shop, something has come back ruined or installed incorrectly. This dealership doesn't even deserve 1 star! Do not purchase ANYTHING from this dealership. They are the only dealership in Utah County and clearly the lack of competition has caused their customer support and service department to become completely incompetent! It was the first brand new car or ATV i had ever bought, I save up for two years and I ordered a brand new honda ATV from Monarch, it was the first model in the State of Utah and when i came down to pick it up, it had 6 hours on the dash and covered in mud. They had been using my "NEW" ATV to allow potential ATV buyers to try out this new model. When I complained, they ONLY offered me $200 off the price to make up for issue. It was now a used ATV, I had waited 60 days for the ATV and needed it for a hunt or I would have not taken the money. THESE GUYS ARE DISHONEST as the day is long, avoid like them the plague. read more
