Do not have work done here. Brought bmw x3 in with coolant leak . I told them I could feel it leaking from bottom of bottom of reservoir. They told me they would have to do a pressure check. Next day they called me said coolant tank needed to be replaced, gave total cost of over $1100. Said cost for part alone was $224. I bought the coolant tank on amazon for $40 and had a honest auto repair in Corcoran replace it for $215. I had to pay Steve's Auto World $175 for pressure check, not sure this was needed as you could see it was leaking from coolant tank. I hope this post will help other people from being overcharged and always get a second opinion read more

First photo was taken after I noticed my car had paint rubbed off the Driver left side. I notified staff and they directed me to the Owner. After discussing with owner, he told me that he took measurements and nothing would do this damage to my car by going through the wash. Second photo was when I took my car through the was again after it was repainted a week later and it left a bigger scratch - which I thought it was okay to do because they did do the measurements with the assisted guide rails and it would not touch or scratch paint off my car when going in. Knowing this I took it to get a simple wash, to which I ended up with this catastrophe. We were in the area of Steve's on a Monday when the car started acting up. We left it there for them to look at. They said they'd get to it "Tomorrow sometime." Called toward end of day Tuesday. They hadn't looked yet, but "hopefully tomorrow morning." Texted on Wednesday -- same story. Called Thursday -- same story. Called Friday -- same story. So I went and picked it up Friday and took it somewhere else. As is turns out it was very dangerous to do so, as the wheel literally almost fell off (broken studs and missing lug nuts). The other place had us on our way in a few hours. I can't blame them for being backed up. But it really, really screwed us over that they kept telling us it would be soon. Despite having an appointment, my vehicle was there all day and overnight before I received any meaningful information. At first, I was told they couldn't hear anything unusual. The next day, after I called for an update, I was told the timing belt had failed and that repairs would cost around $3,000. This was surprising because the timing belt had been replaced at this same shop only two years ago at a cost of approximately $2,000-$3,000. When I spoke with the manager, the conversation was disappointing. He claimed the timing belt failure was my fault because of an oil leak. However, the leak was so minor that I had previously been advised by their staff that it wasn't worth repairing and that simply topping off the oil was the better option. The manager also stated that they wouldn't know the exact cause until they took everything apart. If that's the case, how could they confidently quote a $3,000 repair before knowing what was actually wrong? All I wanted was a professional, civil conversation and a clear explanation of the diagnosis. Instead, I was left wondering whether they were guessing at the problem or whether previous work had failed prematurely. Either possibility is concerning. Needed a car inspection for a car i was looking to buy, got an appointment next day, went there and the car wasn't in so i talked to the person at the front desk and they said that they got backed up and were sorry. Immediately after they started bringing it in! Told me all the problems with the car and gave me a relative quote for the fixes on the car! The car check was quick. So after getting the papers i talked with the seller and within minutes he proved half of the stuff they said on the report was wrong, one key one being they said the transmission fluid was dark and burnt, so we pulled it out and checked the stick, boom decently clean transmission fluid ( still red but lots of miles so needs a change) and was not burnt whatsoever. I'm glad it was cheap because it doesn't do much, basically wasting time and money. read more

I noticed a screw in my tire on my way into work, called and was able to get in right away. Took about 45 minutes for the guys to remove the screw, patch the tire and send me on my way. My son called to schedule a car repair. He said a guy named Howard was very rude. I called back to check on the appointment time and get an estimate. Howard had never scheduled the appointment. Brought the car in an hour prior to rescheduled appointment and didn't hear back from them four hours later. Called them and Howard said they said they hadn't got to it and probably wouldn't get to it that day. When I asked what the appointment was for and they said that it was first come first serve repair. Service desk Howard has rude and condescending personality and should not be allowed to talk to customers. Also, terrible at scheduling appointments and it's not worth bothering. Howard wasn't just having a bad day, I've worked with him a few times prior, and he has always been very rude read more

Unfortunately this place screwed me. I had a cylinder misfiring so I brought it in to them, they said they'd check it out and call me before doing anything. They called a few hours later and said an ignition coil had gone bad and it'd be $215. I gave them the go ahead to do it, went to pick it up, they said to put the card in the card reader and I got the paperwork. I had just paid $363. There was a $140 diagnostic fee they declined to tell me about at any time: not when I dropped it off, not when they called me, not when they took my credit card. The sad thing is I've changed ignition coils before; diagnosing a misfiring cylinder is a pain but replacing a coil is an easy 15 minute job. It's the first thing you see when you take the plastic cover off and it's just held in by a screw and clip. The part runs anywhere from $35 to $100 depending on whether it's OE. And it's kind of telling when there's no wait or no appointment needed to get your car in, and nobody ever sitting in the waiting room. They also quoted me $1500 to replace all my brakes just because one of the $35-$100 calipers was sticking. Service advisor was Dennis Moorhead. read more

I personally had a terrible experience with Steve's Auto World. It's wild, because Nate's business came with such glowing recommendations from others, that I was willing to give my first interaction with them a pass. My first interaction with them was on a Suburu that we own - I dropped the car off on a Saturday and heard nothing from Nate (owner), gave them a call Sunday and was told I'd hear back Monday. Got a call Monday and said, go ahead and do the repairs. Thursday, heard nothing, so I gave them a call, at which point they'd never got owner authorization, which I had given Monday. Dennis assured me they'd get started. They rushed it and it was done same day. This is all fine, and I go back with my 2013 Chevy because once again, glowing recommendations from others. It's at this point that things go off the rails. Over the next 1,300 miles, I have to bring my Chevy to Steve's five different times for ~$5k of repairs, one of which those times they didn't attach an air hose properly. I was assured by Nate and by Dennis that there would be no further issues after problems with the Turbo (massive repair of $3k), throttle body, and spark plugs/coils melting. Finally, I end my adventure with Howard, who tells me that the engine type has issues with seals blowing and it'll keep blowing seals unless I get a new engine, an issue that is well known issue with the make. Mind you, this car has 90k miles. Both Nate and Dennis have neglected throughout this whole adventure to mention this before selling a $3k repair and $2k in smaller (last one, we promise) repairs on a car that's worth $4k. It's possible I'm a fool, or it's possible that Steve's Auto World doesn't know how to act with integrity. Probably a bit of both. I caution you before using them to service your vehicle outside of a routine oil change. read more

WHAT A SCAM! Are your technicians even certified? I brought my fiancée's car in for an oil change and tire rotation on 7/3 as it was due, and we had a coupon in the mail for a free oil change. While there, Adam, the receptionist, came in excitedly after the technician had pulled the car into the shop and informed me that the car needed front brakes. He provided a quote for the brake job, stating the front brakes were at 1-2 mm and needed immediate replacement costing around $500. He also mentioned the rear brakes were about half-life and could wait 6-12 months, costing a similar amount. Given my fiancée drives about 100 miles a day, replacing brakes seemed reasonable. On 7/9, my fiancée decided to take her car to the dealership where she purchased it to get the brakes replaced, benefiting from a discount. After dropping off the car, the dealership called and informed us that the brakes were in excellent condition: the fronts measured 6mm and the rears were around 4mm. Surprisingly, the fronts were even in better shape than the rears. Upon my fiancée's return home on 7/9, I called Steve's Auto World seeking an explanation for the significant discrepancy between their assessment and the dealership's findings. Adam answered the phone but had no explanation for why the technician had reported the brakes as 1-2 mm. He attributed it to the technician's error. I requested to speak with the manager or owner to understand the situation better. Adam informed me that Nate, the owner, works from 7am to 2pm and assured me that Nate would call me the next day. However, as of 7/11, I have not received any communication from Nate or Adam. This experience has been costly and inconvenient. We wasted time going to the dealership, were without a car for a day, and had to pay $55.00 for a brake inspection that was unnecessary had Steve's Auto World's assessment been accurate. It concerns me that their technicians, who appear quite young, may not be certified. Despite its proximity and convenience to our house, I'll be taking our cars elsewhere in the future, even if it means paying more. I advise others to seek a second opinion before accepting recommendations from Steve's Auto World or taking your car to another shop altogether. read more

We dropped off our vehicle for an oil change and the staff gave us a list of things that needed to be fixed on the vehicle. The mechanic kept in good contact with us in case we wanted them to do the repairs. We could tell they looked over the car instead of just saying everything was ok without looking. Horrible!! Don't trust these people. Been going here for years. They don't know how to install anything. Have had to get 3 AC compressors installed because they can't install them right. Every other auto shop I've talked to says there's absolutely no reason there should still be a problem if they would've installed it right. Waited 2 days for my car that they sat in the lot and didn't fix it after they said it would be done same day. Don't get me started on the front desk guy who is sexist and talks down to and laughs at women. He won't let you finish a sentence and talks over you every chance he gets. If you are expecting a loner car because they want to keep your car overnight good luck! They never have them! They take forever even though their mechanics sit in the garage talking and eating Doritos instead of working on your car. No I'm not exaggerating I've watched this happen. This place is my go to whenever I need an oil change or any type of service. All of the employees are super friendly and very knowledgeable. I've never had a bad experience. They fixed an air conditioning issue and didn't even charge me (put the hose back in from where it came out of) and were completely honest about it where many other places would have just charged you and not did anything. Last fall I needed tires and after calling around to tires plus, Goodyear, and discount tires, who were all booked out 4 or 5 days, I called Steve's. They got me in the same night and replaced my truck tires before the big snowstorm. It was fast and I love my new Yokohama tires! Ever since, I have brought my wife's car and my kids cars there. I was in a bind on my way to work , I had forgotten my wallet at home. I stopped in and asked the cashier if I could pump $5 in gas and leave him something much more valuable then the $5. He said no and I said I understood, so I went out to my truck and I grabbed a $80 torque wrench and walked over to the mechanics shop. This facility is a Godsend!! While returning to Michigan from North Dakota, on Saturday May 11th,2019, after attending our sons college graduation, our transmission completely died. Knowing virtually no one in the area, the gentlemen at this facility went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were also traveling with our dog and they allowed us to bring him inside because of how long it was going to take for repairs. Not only were they able to locate a suitable replacement transmission, they picked it up the same day AND stayed late to finish the job so that we could head back to Michigan the next day! The staff went out of their way to locate a hotel and provided transportation for my family and I both there and back to their shop when they realized they wouldn't be done by closing time! Steve, Terry and the rest of their employees should be very proud of themselves. Poor experience with Car wash- I bought a code and proceeded to the wash. After entering the code. The 'wait' light turned on. The instructions on the wall read wait for the attendant. Several minutes passed and no attendant showed up. Finally, I called the location from my car and the lady from the cash register came by. When I started to ask her if I was supposed to wait as per the instructions, she ignored my question and asked if I had paid for the service. After I replied in the affirmative, I asked her again what the right process for this car wash was. Once again, she ignored me and started the wash and the conveyor while my window was still down (trying to speak to her), and my car was on park (which I had to hurriedly turn to neutral to avoid damage). It doesn't seem like they know yet what they are doing with their newly opened large auto center. read more

This is the worst place. Once I came here and bought a car wash. The wash wasn't working. Ok. Fine. That happens. Then I go in and just ask for my $$ back. I'm told I can't get my $$ back. That there is nobody there that can give it. But I can come back tomorrow for my car wash. Which I'm not driving all the way here for a car wash tomorrow that I want that night. So the lady I sista the wash isn't broken and goes out there with me. Tries to start it. Has no idea what she's doing. Tells me to pull in. I'm hesitant but I nose in. She sprays soap all over my car and then realizes she doesn't know what she's doing. Then tells me to drive through. The wash is a conveyer. The brushes are already spinning. She has no idea. I tell her I'm not doing that and she says, "I wouldn't either." Then she goes back I. The store. Leaving me to back out now I'm a car covered in soap. Next time i come through I get gas. Get a wash. Wash works. But there is a guy parked at the end in a tow truck nowhere to be found. Can't get through. He comes out and says I should squeeze through....maybe a inch to get through if I turn exactly right. This place sucks. read more

I brought my car in to have tires put on rims for the summer. I let them know that there are two different size bolts for the rims. Longer in the back and shorter in the front. This last week I notice one of my lug bolts was missing off the rear wheel. I was pissed but I didn't know if Steve's Auto World had anything to do with it. This week, I went to swap my summer tires with my winter tires and noticed a mix of short and long lug bolts on all my tires. The short ones barely grabbed the hub. Can you say safety issue. Also, and this pissed me off the most, they did not torque the bolts down. I assume the just rammed them in with an impact. On max pressure. Because I had to use a breaker bar to some of the bolts out. 3-4 of the I had to put all my weight on it to get them to move and I am around 240 lbs. One bolt was soo tight that I thought that I was going to break my breaker bar. My impact wrench could not loosen the bolt. I ended up having to heat the bolt and then I was able to get it out. I have gone to them a couple times putting on tires on rims. The first time I had to bring them back because they put the weights on so close to my brake calipers that it started chipping the paint on the calipers and making a thud thud thud noise when I drove. Now, when I brought it to their attention, they did replace the weights for free. Which is why I went back to them the second time. But, after this, I will never go back to them. They are not up to the quality that I would expect. read more
