They correctly diagnosed the problem using one of their fancy shop grade OBD car engine error reading tools. The fix was reasonably priced. A 30 minute fix took 2 1/2 hours though otherwise it would be 5 stars. read more

Awesome service! Excellent prices! I got estimates from other shops for a muffler... even other Midas shops. Mike gave me the best price of all. When I went in though, I was told I had an "aftermarket tail pipe" and that it would cost more than quoted to replace it. Originally, I wasn't thrilled, but he worked with me on the price so that by the time I walked out the door, I was one HAPPY customer!!! FRAUD!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! They're crooks! We took are car here because it was close where we were staying. They told us it was the Cadillac converter sensor that needed to be replaced. In order to do this they would have to replace the whole Cadillac converter. So we had them did the work. It cost us $1,780.00. After a few days our car was still a ti So we took it back into them. This time they said the throttle body sensor went out and that's e had to replace the whole throttle body to fix it. They gave us a printed estimate for $650.00. I went else where and got the throttle body replaced for $278.00. A master mechanic fix it for us. He also rand a code check and found out that the Cadillac converter sensor code came back up. So now we have to have it fixed again. We have filed a complaint and are waiting to speak to a regional manger. These guys are crooks!! They are cashing in on your stupidity. We never saw the old parts and weren't allowed to look at anything that was taken off the car. I am telling this story so it may save others from getting screwed over like they did us. UPDATE: I reached out to the district manager Patrick and he helped me get my car fixed. I took the car to another local Midas and that shop fixed my car. They put on a better Cadillac converter. This one will help get my car to pass inspection. The first one that was put on by Maple Grove, would have kept my car from passing emissions test. The owner of the Maple Grove shop never told me this and he put a part on my car that would have ended up costing me down the road. I can not say this enough. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP!!!! read more

They are honest and will tell you what needs to be done now, what can wait and how long, and the cost so you can budget. Mike and Dennis work the front and are friendly and the customers love them. Brought my car in before moving out of state to get an oil change and have the fluids checked. They forgot to put my coolant cap back on and my car ended up overheating twice during the trip because all of it leaked out on the way. I will of course check it myself from now on but I really thought I could trust the "professionals". Paid over $130 to have it fixed. Do not recommend. read more

I had an appointment set up but when I came in they only did one of the services that I had requested so I had to come back to them. After getting my second service done they told me I needed new brakes so I had that done too so I agreed to have it change out but then realized that they broke my parking brake in doing so. I had to bring it back to them multiple times because they were not able to order the right parts for my vehicle and I got so sick of it having to waste my time to bring it back and they can't do anything. In addition they didn't even have my contact information right so I have no clue where they're getting the information. read more

The first time I went to this Midas I had to wait at least 10 minutes for the guy in the office to notice customers were waiting. There was a man in front of me that was greeted nicely but when it came to me the guy was really rude and asked "what do you want". I had an appointment for an oil change and was told it would take 45 minutes. It ended up taking 1.5 hours even though they weren't that busy. A few days after my bad experience I got a call and did a survey about my experience. About a week after that I received a call from the manager apologizing for the bad service and he offered me a free oil change. When I went in for my free oil change the customer service was a little better until the very end. The manager was the guy that had been rude to me the first time but I decided I wasn't going to say anything to him since he was nice the second time. The manager wasn't the one to greet me and when I was leaving the manager asked me if my experience was better. I said Yes then the manager blamed the other guy for my bad service the first time even though I didn't tell him which one of them helped me the first time. The service was a lot faster but when I went to get an oil change from a different place they told me that the place I had gone before didn't close something. I can't remember what exactly because I wasn't paying attention but I wasnt' surprised that this Midas missed something. read more

They let me know if something 'should or could' be done, and in how long, but I've never once felt pressured into anything extra. If I could offer a 0 I would. Do not go to this business. The first oil change they over filled, oil all over my garage floor. They never offered to compensate me for the kitty litter to try and get the stain out, which it is now permanent. Went back in to fix, they took too much oil out. My car started running funny so I checked the oil, nothing registered. I bought oil (which they did not compensate me for) and went back in. This time they gave me they changed the oil again. The guy at the front desk is so incredibly rude and condescending. Treats women like they are complete dumbasses. They gave me a coupon for a free oil change. Went back during the mask mandate, not a single person in the shop in a mask. When asked about it the owner from the back started yelling saying they had medical reasons to not wear one. I have never been treated so poorly ever. This is the bottom of the barrel Midas, please go elsewhere. read more

My grandparents go here all the time and obviously get taken for a ride every time since it's so frequent. I have no money right now to spend on car repairs and my battery was dead yesterday so I got it jumped and drove over an hour to here because my grandparents were paying for a new battery and an oil change and to fix my heat that doesn't work on the fourth setting and on feet. Got it there by 2:30, they wanted to keep it but I had to work the next day and they couldn't keep it till Monday. We waited till 20 minutes to 5 to call and see if it was ready but they were still "looking" at the heat, had not done an oil change but had changed the battery out for a new one. We picked it up a little after 5 and made an appt for next month to get the heat fixed then and the oil change. They charged my grandparents $175 for a battery in a chevy blazer and a light bulb, way too much! So I drive it the hour home, and now the next day, I drive it 4miles to work and then go pick up my family to go to Minneapolis for dinner with my aunt. We get down there and go eat, leave and lo and behold my car won't even unlock or turn any dash lights on, it's that dead. We wait for AAA to come jumpstart me and when he gets there it won't start still, he had to hook the jump to the fuse box and alternator to start, we are headed out of the parking lot when it completely dies again. AAA rep says it's either a bad ground or the battery was installed improperly.my grandparents of course wanted it towed over to the Midas again so we'll see what else they can come up with they can charge them an arm and a leg for. I know exactly the problems I have with my car and after they "fix" what they improperly did or messed up, I will never go there again. I know my car and have had my personal mechanic look it and so I have a list of the problems so if anything else happens to come up after this, I will know who to blame. Never had a problem with private mechanics and I can watch them work so I know it's being done properly and nothing screwy going on. read more

This store not only charges you for repairs that that were not made but when you bring your car back to complain they will charge you for more repairs and find every loop hole possible in their warranty. I've been to this Midas 4-5 times in the past couple of years- always when I had an issue that HAD to be fixed. They always fit me in & seemed to realize I needed a timely fix. I may have had to wait, but was thankful they didn't turn me away. I live 20 miles away so it's not convenient to run back & forth. Anyway- they have always explained what was needed (& had to be done now), what should be done in the near future & what looked like I would have to fix in the future. They also told me what I didn't have to fix right now & how it wouldn't hurt the car to put it off or get me killed because of malfunction. They have always had the bottom line in mind by advising me what fixes could be done together that would save time/labor. They have never steered me wrong & one time the service person knew what I needed by watching me drive in the lot. They call when they say they will & explain everything. They answer my questions without making me feel like I don't know anything (which I don't know anything!) & haven't ever been rude about having to repeat the info (then I have to call my husband & they are patient while waiting). I've had many cars & gone to many dealerships, private repair shops & chains- and I know pretty quickly if I will go back. Just that I have been back 4-5 times (maybe more) is a record for me. Last time they even had a really big, well behaved & friendly dog in residence. (He wouldn't bother you if you don't like dogs.) I hope this review doesn't "jinx" my good luck :) read more
