Steve did an inspection for me last fall. Did an excellent job. Easy to work with, on time. Doing another inspection for me next week.

I sent Steve a request for an estimate for tenting for termites and he quickly responded, scheduled to walk the property, and provided a reasonable quote. We received quotes from a few different companies and ultimately chose to go with Steve because he was honest and upfront about the process and language used by pest control companies. He clearly answered all of our questions and gave helpful tips on how to prep the house and best complete repairs from the termite damage. We would not hesitate to use Steve's services again. He is honest and knowledgeable and doesn't try to up sell you on services you don't need. read more

Steve is a total professional. Very responsive to my call, and did an excellent job of explaining the options, and offering recommendations. Quick service once we selected an option. We opted for treating our termite problem locally, not tenting. Evidence of termites has disappeared since the treatment. I'm very satisfied with Steve's work and recommend him highly. read more

Steve Howell is excellent. As a realtor, I recommend the best. Steve is the best termite inspector around. It's really important to know the real story before buying a home. He is also able to handle section 1 and section 2 woodwork which makes life simple! read more

I am giving Mr. Howell 5 stars specifically for his level of honesty and integrity. I called him to see if he could do an rush inspection for me in King City, CA. The first thing he said was "I am not your best fit. Have you called [COMPETITOR]?" I said no, I called you first because you have a 5 star rating. He said "Call them first, they can probably do it faster and cheaper than me (due to proximity), however if you do not find someone, call me back and I will help you." Thanks, Mr. Howell -- I sincerely appreciate your honesty and integrity. Sergio read more

Steve was our third and final bid for treating both wood and subterranean termites. Can't beat his prices and service and attention to details. read more

Super honest and down to earth guy who really knows what he's talking about. The opposite of most slimy pest control guys.

Steve is great. He explained the process, timeline and costs in detail before we did the termite tenting. Everything went according to plan. Few months later I noticed some minimal termite droppings in one place so I called him again. He came right away and checked it out at no charge - turns out it was a false alarm. I felt very comfortable with the service and would recommend him to anyone with a termite problem. read more

Very experienced and skilled. He excels at spot treating known termite tunnnels with pesticide. We have not seen any recurrence of termites after several years. read more

Great service on a last-minute call. Steve was quick to respond to my email requesting an inspection and cost estimate for drywood termite eradication (see photos). We decided tenting was the appropriate action and scheduled a date for tenting. The following Monday, the house was tented and by Wednesday, the tent was gone. The home was safe for re-entry within several day (notices were posted on the entrance). No hesitation in recommending Steve and his services. Easy five stars... read more

Steve Howell Termite Control - Evidence of drywood termite infestation. Indications in more than one location. - Pest Control Near Me

I called Steve to help me determine if I had termites or flying ants. He offered to help me diagnose over phone with a picture of the bug... he's a genuinely nice human and easy going. Helped me determine I have some flying ants and suggested a solution. Thanks Steve! read more

These guys broke a bunch of tiles on the roof and didn't even bother to replace, offer to fix or even apologize.

Steve was able to squeeze us in last minute for a pest inspection for escrow in Marina. He was super thorough, really detailed, and obviously very knowledgeable about his work. He went through it all with us and answered any and all questions patiently. We were in a time crunch and he went above and beyond and got us our report that night (!). Highly recommend Steve! read more

I asked this company out to do a bid for some subterranean termites. Though I ultimately went with another company, Steve was professional and gave me several pointers for weighing all the bids we received. I would definitely recommend having him come out and bid on work for your property as he is honest and knowledgeable. read more

The most thorough inspection I have ever seen as a Realtor. On time, attention to detail-outstanding! I highly recommend Steve Howell!

I had an escrow in Pebble Beach with a very short timeline for inspection contingencies, and although Steve had an upcoming vacation planned, he went out of his way to perform the inspection for my clients on last minute notice. Although the home stated it was fully remodeled, Steve found some deficiencies. His inspection was very thorough. I will definitely be using him again. I highly recommend him. read more

Professional and reliable. A very thorough inspection. He seems like a busy guy but he got everything I needed to get done on time, which was important for me because I was moving and remodeling the house at the same time. Thanks Steve! read more

Steve is awesome and professional. After talking with a different local company (will never use them again: Ailing House got 3 strikes and they're out from us) my hubby and I contacted Steve. He responded promptly after every point of contact through the process of having our house fumigated for termites and answered all of our questions. He was upfront about costs and what to expect. We highly recommend him!!! read more

Steve is without question one of the most professional and competent contractors I have ever met, and certainly the best termite inspector I have ever hired. I contacted Steve after another Monterey Peninsula termite company issued a questionable and incomplete report. With Steve's help, we were able to identify and complete necessary repairs for VA refinancing at a high standard of quality with minimal cost. Moreover, the "other" termite company did not even find some of the more pressing issues that Steve found, such as dryrotting floorboards underneath bathroom linoleum, and insulation in the attic that had fallen away from the wall (not related to termites, but fixing it has already saved us $$$ on our energy bill). Steve is a rigorous termite inspector, and genuinely concerned with the interests of his clients. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

We used Steve for Termite control based on our realtor's recommendation. Glad we did. I found some old termite damage underneath a painted area on the bathroom window 8 months after we moved in. It was invisible, and easy to see how it was missed. The paint above it was smooth and even, and it wasn't until I happened to be putting some pressure on the sill that the paint cracked and exposed the damage underneath. It was definitely old damage, and not from returned termites. I expected to face about $1000 of work to replace the window frame, and was hoping that Steve might offer us a discount based on his relationship with the realtor. Steve came in the same day we called him, apologized for missing it (I can't imagine how anyone would have seen it, it was completely hidden) and performed the repairs a couple of weeks later FOR NO CHARGE. I would absolutely recommend Howell. He stands behind his work. read more
