We have been clients of Gavilan for about 5 1/5 years. When we purchased our home it had been left unattended for quite sometime. The scheduling coordinator was exceptional at understanding our need to get things back on track. She made every effort to get a service date ASAP. Our technician, Frank, was thorough & professional. He has continued to be our primary service technician for all these years. When he was unavailable to come, we received equally professional attention from the other technicians. Thank you Gavilan team for your attention to detail, excellent service & value! read more

Breaks my heart to give a poor review. I had Gavilan come out for the last 3 years every spring before my apple trees bloomed to spray for aphids. Never had a problem. This year not sure what happened. The pesticide was mixed incorrectly and almost killed my trees. They put out new growth in parts of the tree but not in others. One tree was so stressed there are no apples and the other has just a handful. We used to get buckets. The lawn below the trees died as well. We're trying to reseed but it's going slowly. My concern is that the apples themselves on the one tree may be toxic since the spray killed the lawn. My golden delicious is not happy and I am hoping it doesn't die. I was given a refund but if my trees die... I would make sure when they come to spray that they have correctly mixed the pesticide. read more

Friendly and responsive local company. Great value and customer service. I've been able to work in the yard without finding dozens of flea bites on my legs later. And this is the first year we haven't had any ant incursions in the house. Usually we have several large ones every year. Very happy with the results. read more

We have been using Gavilan Pest Control ever since we moved to Gilroy. It has been more than 10 years now that George has been taking care of us. He does a very good job. We get door to door salesman constantly, try to get us to switch to an out of town service. I keep telling them that I won't be switching. I love using local service companies. Gavilan Pest Control has given me no reason to change. Thank you George, and Gavilan Pest Control. read more

Invasion of ants, spiders and wasps were a never ending story at our home in the country where nature is 24/7. The eaves were always covered in webs and wasp nests. My wife cannot stand even a single ant in the house so we called Gavilan. We are on a once a month subscription and oh boy what a difference it has made in our lives. No webs, no spiders, no wasps and most importantly, NO ANTS! IMHO, if you live out in the boondocks, getting a handle on invasive pests is a must. The treatment usually involves spraying around perimeter of the house and out buildings. They sweep under the eaves also for any webs that are trying to gain a foothold. The staff is warm and friendly. We put our pets away while the treatment dries (about a 1/2 hour) Then everything is good to go. Highly recommended. https://www.gavilanpestcontrol.com/ read more

I called them out of a bit of desperation about a dead wild animal under the home. Although they couldn't help with that; they were kind and helped me figure out some options to call. Their recommendation to call a disaster cleanup company was perfect and California Premiere Restoration CPR was able to take care of it. Will definitely give them a call if I have a pest issue. read more

We have been customers of Gavilan Pest Control for over 20 years. The service has been exemplary for a variety of pest and nuisance issues from in the rafters of our home to trapping critters. The phone customer service is personable and prompt. We have had the same monthly service technician for most of these years. They are always responsive to our concerns no matter how big or small. When indoors needed to be treated, our technician was clean and professional. We would not consider anyone else!!!! read more

I've been a customer of Gavalin Pest Control for over 15 years. I started using them due to a flea infestation that would flair up annually with the hatching of the new eggs. They were always responsive, helpful and I've continued using them simply because I want to keep the bugs and spiders at bay. Frank has serviced my property for as long as I can remember and he truly is the nicest guy and does a GREAT job. read more

The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The service is great, with quality products used. Wes and Kevin are wonderful; they are always on time and very respective of our property. We couldn't be happier with this company and staff. We would gladly recommend the company to anyone in need of this type of service. I live in the country and have always had issues with spiders and ants. We had used a competitor prior to finding Gavilan Pest Control, but I think they were spraying with water as we never saw a decline in the insects. Since we have been using Gavilan Pest Control the insects are gone! read more

I established a contract with this company, the technician that is supposed to serve Soledad serviced us once and I've never seen him again. I've called, theyve apologized how busy they and promised the tech would call. Two weeks later still no call. I want to stay with the company but gosh, I'm not going to BEG to give them my business. read more

We had an ants infestation, and they took care of it swiftly and with care! Haven't seen an ant in over a month now. Highly recommendable!

I though we had bed bugs so I called terminex and they confirmed bed bugs and wanted to charge us $2,000 to spray. We called Gavilan for a second opinion because my aunt has been using their services for years and Jorge was able to come out the same day! When he came out he immediately took a look and gave us the amazing news that they were just carpet beetles! Thank you again Jorge! read more

I called multiple times over a course of 2 days. I wasn't open to calling competitors since the reviews were best here. However, regardless of the time I called, no one picked up. I left a message and my call was never returned. Luckily, another company came to my rescue. read more

Called at 7 am and answered right away! I have been getting bit by sometimes for weeks and caught a bug. After calling Chet suggested to drop by the office instead of paying for a home inspection right away! I went in and the office was very knowledgable, professional, and very friendly for being so early in the morning! They helped identify the bug and gave me suggestions to save money before having to use their services!!! Honest, local, and very helpful. Would recommend to anyone!! Thanks for the help guys!! Jorge is the amazing pest controller who came out to our apartment! Very great at communication and friendly tips! read more

I called Gavilán Pest control on a Thursday night & left a message stating I "thought" I had a rat issue at my house & if someone could get back to me I'd appreciate it. The next morning I got a phone call back. I can't remember the name of the woman, but she was very genuine. Apologised that because it was Friday no one could come out until Monday. Took notes of what I was hearing & seeing & told me she'd have one of their exterminators call me back. I told her it was not an emergency & I was ok waiting until Monday. About 30min later, one of their exterminators; Frank called me back & got details of what I was seeing & hearing. Told me he'd be out Monday between 9AM & 11AM. At 9:05 he calls me & says he's outside & is it ok if he comes in to assess the situation. His first statement after introducing himself was that he hoped it wasn't too bad of a weekend knowing we had a potential rat problem. He saw our dog that was very anxious to say hi to him. He gave her a treat & told me it was fine to let her loose if she was friendly. He let her follow him all around the house & outside. Stopped to pet her occasionally. He was thorough, friendly & told me his opinion & my options. I never felt pressured to join a program or sign a contract. I would never go with another company for any future problems. read more
