When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by the owners and classic Haitian music. Service was really good. I was pleased when speaking to the owners. Learning that they opened during a pandemic and have a pretty good following. I ordered chicken in sauce with rice and beans. It looked like the rice and beans were the left overs from the pot and many variations in color. The white rice I ordered on the side was really good. Believe it or not you can mess up white rice lol. My daughter didn't want to even try the rice and peas because it looked old. I was really hoping to get a Haitian restaurant with 5 stars and this place has 5 star service however the food just wasn't what I am accustomed to. I think it's important for restaurants to be consistent. No matter what time you come you should get the same quality. Im sure they probably didn't want to have to make new rice but if it's offered it should be good. This place has officially become a favorite for me. Let me start by saying that the greeting and treatment of customer service was great something you really don't get in south Florida and the decor of the restaurant is beautiful. Although it was freezing inside as well as outside it wasn't a huge downfall for me. Now the food was delicious from the perfection of the rice to the tostones, the Mac n cheese and the fried turkey everything was incredible. Amazing food! And awesome owners! My typical Haitian restaurant was closed, and hubby wanted Haitian food for dinner! I know all the Haitian spots. Nothing is my place. But I found this place and let me tell you!!! I'm impressed!!!! GREATTTT service!! And the food was great!!! I came in 10 min after calling in my order and was greeted by a nice gentleman who told me my food was being packed and took my payment and had great conversation. First impressions mean a lot to me, especially when I'm spending money and looking forward to a specific meal. I decided to give this place a chance and ordered the Griot complete meal through DoorDash. A couple of minutes later I get a notification that it's out of stock and being replaced with Haitian spaghetti along with a partial refund. When I attempted to cancel the order with DoorDash, I was informed that I wouldn't get my money back since they already started preparing the food. If a customer orders something and you don't have it, you have to ask them if they'd like something else or not. You don't just pick for them. Especially when it comes to food and possible food allergies. This was a poor and unprofessional decision. I will not be ordering from this place ever again. I warn you to call them in advance and confirm that they have what you want which defeats the purpose of ordering online to save time. read more

My girlfriend and I are always excited to find a new Haitian restaurant try, and we stumbled across this one the other day and w were not disappointed. We ordered the Griot complete; which is fried pork, macaroni, rice & beans, and plantains. Considering we've eaten at a lot of Haitian restaurants and have a lot of Haitian friends we compare all Haitian restaurants to our favorite restaurant. The griot is some of the best I've ever had, it's a complete flavor bomb. I've never had such big and concentrated flavor in fruit. The rice and beans was well cooked and flavorful, it was slightly richer than what I'm accustomed to traditionally; it had an almost buttery flavor and an additional undertone that I couldn't recognize. We both liked, but my girlfriend prefers her rice more traditional; either way it was edible and none went to waste. The macaroni split our house hold, it was good but far from the best I've ever had, but my girlfriend who's a bit of a macaroni snob absolutely loved it and said it was better than the mac at our favorite restaurant. The plantains were good but not special and the pikliz( almost like a condiment relish common to Haitian food) were just ok. The onions and peppers could have been cooked down a little more they had good flavor also. Overall it's was one a very good meal and just under our favorite restaurant. Well definitely be back to try more. The service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. The only thing concerning was that there were a few menu items they were out of at about 6pm. read more

From the entrance to the restaurant, customer service was at 10*, the owners are very polite, professional, friendly, and very engaging with their customers. That was foreign to me going to a Caribbean restaurant in South Florida. The restaurant was clean, quiet. The food was fresh, delicious, the lemonade was WOW. We will definitely come back in the afternoon next time. Food runs out quickly. It was worth the ride from Pembroke Pines. The soup, I love it. My friend is not from the island and she enjoyed the chicken stewed meal and the fry fish platter. We were stuffed and we were happy with our experiences.
