They go above and beyond--washing windows in addition to my oil change, extremely friendly, and followed all Covid safety precautions. However, most importantly, I wanted to note that when I recently went (11-21-2020), I saw such kindness from a staff member. Another customer was next to me getting an oil change and an employee went over and began talking to the elderly gentleman. While I could only hear bits and pieces, it was clear that the customer was struggling with Covid isolation and the staff member took the time to chat with him, make him laugh, and just have some good human interaction. This is why I will continue to only go to this location, as well as recommend it to everyone I know! Only complaint: staff cannot accept cash tips and I'd like to leave gratuity!

They also told me my trans pan had NEVER been dropped despite the fact that the same shop dropped it a year ago and I drop it myself prior to that. Unfortunately JR's has gone from my favorite and most trusted shop to a place that I can't trust their knowledge on vehicles.

Being a woman and going to get an oil change alone can be a difficult experience as there are places that totally assume you're clueless and try to upsell you and give you false information. This place did not do that at all! They were super helpful and gave me useful information and did not pressure me at all. I very much appreciated that! I arrived at 8:15 on a Saturday morning and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. That is awesome! The reason I did not give them five stars is two-fold: 1. One of the employees was smoking inside the garage when I arrived and the smoke got in my car. I found that offensive. Also, it seems unsafe to be smoking indoors where there are flammable fluids. 2. No one was wearing masks. It's 10/31 and covid-19 numbers are going up like crazy again in SE Michigan. The employees are in close contact with each other and with customers when showing oil level, etc. Even with those two negatives, I will definitely be back to get my radiator flushed and for future oil changes. I am glad to find a place super close to home. And I love supporting a local business!
