Kind of upset with sterling took my 2001 Dodge ram in put a new engine and remand 5.9 l and they had it for 3 days and they called me and said that they were bought out by a corporation and that they weren't able to work on my vehicle after 3 days so I don't know what corporation bought them out but Sterling is going to be one of those service centers mechanics excuse me technicians that will no longer be around. read more

I followed Al and team from a previous business due to very high quality of customer service. My tires were changed out a while back and all was great. With any tire on/off, I'm concerned about wheel damage as they are easily scuffed. Al always makes a point of saying they'll look after them. One of the tires recently had a slow leak. Took it in - found a small nail - fixed it - and was out in no time. What I've noticed at Sterling - EVERYONE brings a level of professionalism and genuine interest in helping the customer. You can hear it when they're on the phone giving updates on status - no effort to upsell or do service that's not required. Overheard a discussion about getting brake rotors turned vs. selling new ones - the goal being to save the customer some money. My car died. Asked Sterling if I could have it towed to them, even though it wouldn't arrive until after close of business on Friday. They said "of course!" Before I even had to ask on Monday, they already had someone checking it out to see what went wrong and what it might cost to fix it. A big a** bolt had broken, the car jumped time, broke all kinds of things ... it was dead. They gave me a great estimate of everything that would probably need to be replaced/fixed, and already had someone looking for a used engine to replace mine. After lots of discussion, my family decided it was better to fix up the car rather than buy a new(er) one, since Sterling just put new shocks (struts?) on the front and the tires were new this year. We already had in the maintenance plan for this car to have the rear shocks done, so we planned to just have it all done at one time by Sterling. We got a new(er) engine with only 61K miles on it (old one was over 150K), they replaced all the belts and bolts and whatnot, replaced the radiator, replaced the rear shocks and filled all the fluids. They were done with the car like 2 weeks before I anticipated because they said the mechanics had fun working on the car (side note: awesome that they love what they do!!). They drove it several times and watched for leaks for several days before even letting me know it was ready - they do not let a car leave the lot unless they KNOW it is safe. Even after I picked it up, they checked in with me to make sure everything is running right and I have no problems. Could not be happier with the quality of work performed by Sterling. They exemplify the best of local, small business - they treat you like family. read more

Went in for a bolt I broke off in my vehicle, and after all repairs were complete I recieved a thorough inspection report with pictures front to back of my vehicle. All I needed was an oil change. It was the first change since the Mazda service contract was completed. Once the service was done, my husband saw a huge dent and scrapes on my left bumper which werent there before. He was told that the damage was there before they took the car. That is completely untrue!! They said maybe we hit a curb.....we didn't. This damage was done at Sterling Auto Repair. They will not take responsibility for the damage. read more

Needed tires for our 2014 A-4. Always liked dealing with Al Ruiz and went to his new Martell Sterling Auto location. Gave me a good price and I was happy only to get happier a few months later last week after I hit a good-sized rock at night on Historic 49. I limped home, put on the spare the next morning and drove up to Al's for the prognosis on the flat. His son inflated and inspected and gave me the bad news - irreparable internal damage to the sidewall. He checked a supplier and said he could get a tire mid-afternoon. He added " Don't worry, we'll take care of you." My wife drove the car in later, the new tire was mounted, moved to the rear and the spare stored back in the trunk. The son test drove the car, handed the keys back to Leslie, smiled and wouldn't take a penny. read more

Love 'em. The one star reviews look like they're just from people who were upset that their cars required very expensive repairs which isn't Sterling's fault. We got stranded on the side of the road at 7pm on a Sunday and within 48 hours (with no appointment) Sterling had my truck up and running again and split the labor cost since they had recently fixed a slightly related issue. Oil changes come with complimentary tire rotation/balancing, thorough inspections and digital pictures of inspected parts as well as a very thorough and detailed write-up of what all was done. We have taken in 3 vehicles several times and so far they are still 100%. If they ever overcharge or anything shady like that I will update my review but the wife and I and our tenant have experienced nothing but honesty and great customer service so far. Brought my truck to Sterling auto for an alignment, they called me after checking it out saying that I needed to replace my steering rack because it was way too loose to align. When I told them that I would be able to do that job and that I could come and pick up the truck, they then decided to tell me that it was possible to just replace the steering rack bushings and that would get the job done and they might be able to get the parts and do it that day, As a person who can work on their own car I wanted to do the job myself so I picked up the truck, went and bought the parts, and then went to a good friends shop to do the job. When I got under the truck I noticed that there was no play in the rack to begin with, when I removed the bushings and replaced them they were in perfectly good shape. This place tried to swindle me into a very expensive job. Criminal. Don't trust them. I won't be back. I dealt who TJ a guy named Sean, Who charged me $50 to lie to my face and not align my truck. I only write this review in the hopes that other customers or locals like me Won't be taken advantage of. read more
