Sweet Plantain
Basma N.

This place popped up on seamless so we decided to order takeout. We ordered the steak combo with chicken and steak, a side of black beans and fries. And we also ordered sweet plantains, chicken soup for my baby (not pictured), and cookies and cream (not pictured). For one, our beans didn't end up coming, but the restaurant refunded us, with no issues. The sweet plantains were pretty good, they tasted like standard sweet plantains. The empanadas were probably the best part of the meal, the chicken empanada was delicious, the cheese one was decent. The grilled chicken was also good, but the steak was not. It was too chewy and had no flavor at all. And the only sauce that came was tabasco, which isn't the yummiest sauce and didn't add much flavor. My son's chicken soup was okay, the soup was too runny, it didn't have much chicken. For dessert, we tried the cookies and cream, it was like a Maria biscuit, with heavy whipping cream. It was okay, kind of plain and uninspired. The overall value for this place was not good, it was such little food for the price that was paid. I don't think we will be ordering from here again.

1/2 order of pork ribs w veggies and a med order of tostones

I kind of stick to the same few things here...ribs (mostly pork) or the chicken and I've never been disappointed. The prices are beyond fair, it's always clean, the staff is always friendly/courteous and the food is terrific.

Empanadas - skip these!!

We ordered in a few nights ago from Stephanie's and I was impressed. The chicken and rib combo was very good. The chicken was seasoned and cooked right. The rice and beans were absolutely delicious. Super authentic flare to them and also cooked perfectly. Fluffy rice and the beans were super tender. The only downside was the empanadas we ordered to go along with the meal. They were terrible. Skip these. They were just filled with potatoes. We got a chicken and a beef to try and both were just potato filling. They have a ton of good appetizers to choose from so stay clear of these. I also tried they garlic sauce which is to die for. So is their hot sauce. Great overall for bbq!

BBQ Combo for Four People

We finally made it here on a strong recommendation by a close friend. Very small establishment on the corner with little parking. So parking is rough but stay parking is around. We got our order to go being that it was a busy weekend and we don't live far and wanted to rest. Order was just ready as I got there. People inside were great. I parked on the street. No big deal. Transaction went very smooth. We got the BBQ combo (which was supposed to feed 4 people). Came with chicken, sausage, beef ribs and pork ribs. You pick 2 sides, so we went with rice and beans. I also ordered an extra side of hot sauce. Food was excellent. Very tasty and perfectly done. Only thing was, there's no way this is for four people. There was me and my wife, our 18 year old and our 10 year old. I can eat and pick up their slack, but for four adults, this wouldn't be enough. I just want to add that the hot sauce was very good. Not too hot and very tasty. Luckily...... our 10 year old is a big steak connoisseur. So he got the skirt steak, which him and our 18 year old shared. I stole a piece of that and it was solid. Very tasty and perfectly cooked. For their sides, they went with double fries. We also got bbq wings since we get wings from everywhere we go. The wings were the only thing that was average at best. Maybe skip these. They were ok, but I've definitely had better.

Steak bowl

Wasn't to bad. Had the steak bowl & vegetables. Ordered empanadas & ribs as well for co workers. Steak bowl was very good. Ribs were good but empanadas had issue with. Cheese empanadas were almost empty. However would definitely order from again...,

Large portions

We ordered take out, the half order 6 ribs was tender and delicious. Came with 2 sides I got boiled potatoes and steamed vegetables. Very fresh vegetables. Our second order was sausage with rice and vegetables. Full order was 6 sausages. Our Third order Salmon and shrimp with sides buttered rice and black beans. Every thing was delicious and the portions were large. Definitely will try again when visiting family.

Pretty good food. Wish they had a sauce that made the place jump out. Great price and friendly people though.

But the awesome Fish Delish offers a slight conundrum as the fish-and-chips is a great choice but they're also crafting some other offerings that can't be found anywhere else. The salmon dog is great for the palate and for the 'gram. Even as someone who controversially extends the boundaries of what counts as hand food, I had to use a fork for this epic sandwich. The fish is great, as are the bells and whistles. Wasabi mayo is enticing but my favorite component was the smoked mozzarella.

I tried the Clam Chowder, the Shrimp XL Truffle Sandwich, and Coleslaw. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. The Chowder was tasty, and really hit the spot on a cold and dreary day. I would say that it needs more briny clam flavor. Still a solid soup. The star was my sandwich. Five plump, perfectly cooked shrimp are on a soft bun along with cucumber, arugula, grana padano cheese, and truffle sauce. This sandwich was divine! Truffle that you can actually taste, really elevated the flavor. This sandwich makes me want to try all of them. The coleslaw- which was a huge portion- was a perfect crispy, creamy side. Prices were very reasonable for the portion size and the quality. I cannot wait to go back for the lobster roll. Highly recommend

We had high expectations for your restaurant, given its reputation, and the many times we frequent your establishment. However, unfortunately, several issues arose that significantly impacted our evening. We arrived for our reservation and began at the bar with a drink before moving to our table. (2-glasses of bar wine) We sat at the table and then ordered a second glass of wine, which took approximately 15 minutes to arrive--despite the restaurant appearing relatively quiet after 7 PM with only a four-tables occupied. When we inquired at the bar, we were told there were no glasses available, which should have been addressed proactively. Additionally, when reviewing the menu, we did not see a ribeye listed on the menu. We asked the server if there was one available. Our server explained that a ribeye was available for $85. We proceeded to order it (along with a salad, as no other green vegetable options like spinach was available). However, the server later clarified that the $85 price referred to a different steak, and the ribeye we received was priced at $199. This was at the time we received the final bill. This misunderstanding was not clearly communicated upfront, leading to confusion and total disappointment! To make matters worse, when the steak arrived, it appeared totally undercooked (essentially raw in the center), and by the time we addressed it and attempted to proceed, our accompanying mashed potatoes had gone cold. The meat never tastes correct when recooked after bring sliced!!!!!Overall, we felt the service and communication was unacceptable, leaving us confused and terribly dissatisfied. As the owner and chef, is well respected I wrote to him only to find no reply at all. No manager was available on-site to assist us at the time. It is clear the restaurant is failing as there were three tables on Saturday night at 7:00 pm.

If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.

I really wanted to give 4 or 5 stars, I think it has great potential to reach that. The home made…read moresalad dressings are phenomenal. the "Nonnas lasagna" was extremely burnt, so hard we could not cut it, it also lacked authentic flavor. The chicken tacos with rice and beans on the side were phenomenal! The Cesar salad was good but we did get served some browned romaine which i noticed half way through and couldn't finish eating it. I had the salmon and it has a fishy taste, it was also very small looked like 4-5oz. Although I asked for it well done, I did not expect it to be BURNT it was literally black like charred on the whole bottom and top. The wild rice/orzo chilled salad really lacked flavor and was quite the conundrum, I think this side should be improved or changed out completely. The roasted chicken with mashed potato's was excellent. Our server was very absent minded, although she circled and passed by she NEVER once stopped and checked in after serving the food to ask "how is everything?" so we didn't even get a chance to tell her about the burnt lasagna but fortunately the food runner and a different server did pass by us and checked on us ecause they saw us with our necks out looking for our server who had actually passed by us but didn't even look at us...I found it strange that for such a fine establishment the server had not been drained to check on the table 2-5 minutes after each course is served. We had a 3 course meal. A salad to start, followed by the chicken tacos and Nonna lasagna as a second appetizer, then our main dishes. Not once did she check on us after the food was served. I will return in a few months to see if there has been any improvement. The manager did take the lasagna off the bill after the busser brought the plate back. However the waitress never came or made any comments about it. She truly lacked hospitality, personality, and attention To details. I don't remember her name i don't think she Even provided it... the dessert menu also could be better being that there are other restaurants in the area with better dessert options. I think this place needs something good that makes it unique... maybe a story to tell by the server for first times guest or any suggestions etc.

First visit was a few summers back and we absolutely loved it…read more "I think we found our new favorite place to keep coming back to!" (But time can be slippery and it took a bit longer than expected for a follow-up visit.) I'm happy to report that first time was not a fluke and this place IS worthy of putting into steady rotation*. (* - if money's not an issue) I'm boring - both visits I went with the (homemade) pasta specials and they were incredible. The Mrs. is equally boring and got the branzino each time. (And loved it both times.) One kid tried the (gulp, $60) steak special and kept raving about it. (Well, he wasn't keen on the zucchini but what teen really digs that veg, right?) The other kid loves bolognese and was happy with their version. A lovely small and warm restaurant. Limited menu with a handful of specials. It's not cheap. (A wee bit over $50 a person and we didn't get appetizers or dessert and only had sparkling water.) BYOB. (Limited) street parking. The host/owner - you won't find a more inviting and personable figure who is clearly proud of what he's created. Is a part of me tempted to dock a few stars because the owner was happy to see one of my kids wearing an AC Milan jersey the day before they were set to clash with my team, AS Roma? Of course! (But that match ended in a 1-1 draw so I'll be nice... this time!)
