Came here with the family! Wanted to try a new place and saw the high reviews. Food is okay, not 4.5 stars worthy though. We got a little bit of everything to sample the menu. Service could have been better. Asked for recommendations and she could t speak to the menu (which is why we just ended getting a little bit of everything ) we constantly had to flag down our waitress as she was always talking to her co workers at the bar. I've really enjoyed when I've gone to 4th Street Garage. It's a creative type of place, with a garage/car theme and matching burger and meat classic menu. There are even some cars you can check out after eating. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful, and I felt like a valued customer. And the potato salad was 100. I think it might get hot or cold at certain times of year because as far as I could tell there isn't an indoor seating area, but just plan for that. read more

What a hidden gem! Been frequenting old town Temecula for close to 10 years and this has to be my favorite new addition to the repertoire. My wife and I happened upon this spot and it instantly became a favorite of ours. We only stopped in to get a drink but ended up digging the vibe and ordered some more drinks haha and appetizers to boot. Man! The pork tots are insanely good. The pork is smoked, ample, and tender as all get out. The fried pickles are probably the best I've had, and I am a lifelong fan of the dish (they do spears instead of chips so you actually get some pickle with your "fried"). You can tell these folks really care about the quality of what they serve, this ain't your run of the mill bar food. The staff were all super friendly, and the owner even came by the table to welcome us and ensure we were good. Lastly I'll say we were a little apprehensive about sitting outside on a hot July afternoon, however the overhead misters on the patio (along with our ice bucket of beers) kept us nice and cool. After reading Steinerhaus' great reviews, we decided to make a reservation and stop by after our high school softball game. We had 20 high school softball players and 6 coaches and they easily accommodated us. We were welcomed with warm smiles and had great conversation throughout our meal. Both owners popped over to us regularly to make sure everything was to our liking. To say that the service was great would be an understatement. The owners and staff went above and beyond to make sure our girls were fed and happy (after a tough loss, might I add). In addition, the food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I would recommend the pulled pork mac and cheese or the tri-tip beer cheese fries! If we have to make any more trips out to Temecula, we will be sure to stop by to have a meal with our new friends at Steinerhaus BBQ! read more

Made a reservation 'request' through their website for 4-5 hours from the time I made it. Never heard back from them that it would be accepted or denied. We drove to the area anyways, saw that the restaurant was completely empty so instead decided to go to a neighboring restaurant. By the time we left and walked back to our car we saw that this place had closed up for the night earlier than their advertised hours. The concept looked cool, I'm super into cars and the menu looked great, but getting no communication after attempting to make a reservation and patronize their business then closing early means they're leaving business on the table and probably aren't doing awesome. If you want to try this place out, don't bother with a reservation attempt and just try your luck to show up and see if they are open. Worst thing that can happen is you walk a few doors away and find some other food options. read more

Stopped in on a whim as we were passing through Temecula looking for an easy place to park and a yummy lunch. We are big BBQ and classic car people, and 4th Street hit all the right notes for us. The Rib Dip was our highlight - so unique and perfectly executed. (I'm just sad I offered to share it with my husband.) Their kids menu hit the spot and the beers were served cold and quickly. Our server Hope was awesome and Chef Cruz came out to hand deliver our meals and surprise our pup with some tri tip. Our toddler loved checking out the cars and the classic rock was on point. Unfortunately everyone in Temecula is off today and it was slim pickings as to where to eat. Every place had long wait times and/no tables. We were hungry and just decided to try this place. $80 later minus the tip and I regret it. I ordered two sides, tri tip and pulled pork. $12 each and the portion was comical. I will say they tried making things right and brought another small plate of tri tip and chicken to my family. The tri tip was sliced sooooo thinly, lacked any flavor and was overcooked! Family ordered sweet and spicy chicken sandwhich and pulled pork sandwhich. I think the sandwiches were basically bread. Chicken was dry and lacked flavor. Maybe I'm the crazy one. Maybe I cannot accept reality. I grew up in a time where you got a decent amount of food and it didn't cost $100 every time you and family ate out. I would highly recommend 4th Street Garage! I am so glad I found it while exploring Old Town Temecula. While other places in town had a long wait, I was welcomed right in here and enjoyed the beautiful weather on their patio. All of the staff and the owner were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Old Town needs a spot like this, it's half a block off the beaten path, but worth it for a chill relaxing time.
