Immediately they told us they could replace the baseboard. They provided us with several options. After choosing a baseboard, Santos Mechanical quickly ascertained the parts, removed the old unit, and replaced the new unit and parts. They worked efficiently, maintained a neat working environment, and completed the job with functionality and an excellent appearance. In addition to the replacement of the unit, our entire system had to be drained. After completing the replacement Santos Mechanical had to refill our entire system which has two different phases. They had to be in our entire house where they carefully moved furniture when necessary. They were very careful to cleanup as they went from room to room. They are very trustworthy and considerate of our home. The price was very reasonable and the estimate reflected the final costs of the entire repair.

Carlos and his team were professional, knowledgeable and relentless when dealing with this stubborn clog; which turned out to be 25 years of garbage build up. When the clog did not break-up with their electric snake; Carlos had no other option than to cut our PVC pipe, in order to remove all of this build-up. The clog was getting hung up in one of the elbow turns; so he replaced it with a T, so that if this ever happens again (hope not), the removal of anything should be a lot easier than what he originally experienced. And lastly, Carlos went out of his way in order to keep the price down for us; which we truly appreciated. We would highly recommend Carlos and his team to anyone; since they are now our "guys" if we ever need any of their services in the future.

They did and when I called this morning the tech arrived at 11am. He diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes and got us running. We had used a local company and they took five days and never resolved the issue. The furnace is 16 years old and needs to be replaced, which I will only trust UGI to take care of. I also made sure my maintenance plan was paid for the year. We had UGI natural gas in our old home for 19 years and had the maintenance plan for six years. Well worth the cost for complete piece of mind. Sales rep gave us a price for a new furnace on 1/6/2020 and they installed it today 1/8/2020. You can't ask for better service than that. Unfortunately we found that the condenser-coil is bad and since the a/c is just as old, they will come back in late March to replace them. Not what we wanted to hear but at least we know what we are in for.

They were able to determine that the other company only cleaned about half the vents- the rest were pretty much untouched. I do not recommend at all. I was not going to leave a review because I was refunded part of what I…read morepaid. However, I would not go with Berks Plumbing. It was overall terrible experience and as time goes on I realize it could have been catastrophic if I moved forward with them. I had a clogged drain and got an invoice from Essig on what it would cost to move forward with what was needed. Essig was at my home for several hours trying to clear my drain line. Did not try to upsell me on anything I needed. Jim was absolutely fantastic and straight forward and has proven to be a man of his word with Essig plumbing. I called berks plumbing for a second opinion and hydro blasting because it was recommended from a friend who is a plumber on the west coast after the traditional snake from Essig was unsuccessful before going into the foundation. Mike from berks plumbing quoted me at $2000 for hydro blasting and to clear the drain. However said if I bought a $4200 he would only charge me $1,100 for the hydro blasting. Beware single ladies, he is going to say run it by your significant other. I thought it was considerate at first, however, after sharing my experience with other members of the community, this is how he works even when he worked at other companies. Mike is a sales man, he cares about taking your money for the lowest quality work. He sold me on the water softener system, that I did not need and was not in my budget if I needed my pipes replaced at $8,000. He told me it would be beneficial to reduce further erosion on my old cast iron pipes. He assured me the hydro blasting and water softener would solve my issues. And I did not need my pipes dug up in the basement and replaced. I DO AND WHEN I SAW WHAT I SAW WHEN THEY RAN THAT CAMERA I KNOW BERKS PLUMBING SCAMMED ME!! They came out the first time, "ran a camera" (it never happened) and somehow what Essig couldn't get through, they chain snaked and claimed it was hair and lint and "successfully removed the blockage". When I asked Ardie, the plumber Mike sent for the job, to see what was removed from the pipe that was causing the drain issues he said he got rid of it already. Then I asked him what he saw on the camera and if there was a lot of erosion and he said "it was just dark". Ardie said he ran a small load of laundry and there was no issues and I was good to go. I ran a normal load of laundry in my washer and it backed up into the utility sink. Mike sent Ardie back out to correct the job. They came back out and I demanded to see what was going on inside the pipe. They used the same camera and as soon as they got in the pipe there were several holes in my drain line. Water was going under the foundation of my home and the pipes absolutely needed to be replaced. They didn't do their job properly the first time, I did not need it snaked or a water softener. I needed them replaced as Essig told me. Then when I informed Mike I was going with Essig he completely bad mouthed them. Said they do shotty work and will try to upsell me on everything. Coming from the guy who did just that. He lowered the price of the job and wanted to do it when I wasn't home. Red flags all around with him. Then he called me several times reducing the price of the job. I told him it wasn't about the money anymore that I was not confident in their ability to do the job. Mike was going to do it the next day. I live in west reading where you need a permit to do this type of work. He wasn't going to get the permit. He also told me the floor drain doesn't get replaced because they're obsolete which is also not true. I have text messages and I have a recording of the conversation between us. That's how unsure I was about this company. I would steer clear. The employees are unprofessional and their work is not of quality. They want your money. That's all, in my experience.

He listened to our description of our sewer line issue and was sure that it was likely just a blocked drain. He came out and was able to clear the drain and accurately diagnosed root cause. The blockage was out in the main line. The township sewer service came out and found roots clogging the line. If you are reading this Mike, I just want to say thank you.
