The low, low prices are the same. The employees and customer service make the difference. They seem to understand that, as moms, we don't have all day to hang around a strip mall! I sold them some of my kids' clothes, and since it took longer than they promised, they apologized profusely and gave me an extra stamp on my frequent shopper's card. I'm not asking for much-- just a little friendliness. See y'all at Once Upon a Child next week when my boys outgrow this week's clothing...

If they have "buying guidelines" said guidelines are inconsistent, WILDLY inconsistent…read more I mean, this happened a little over two months ago and I'm still not over it. See, to shore up funds for a pre-order, I tried to sell a few things for some pocket money (because we know how consignment stores work) and I didn't really get anywhere with it . Apparently, they won't buy dolls without clothes, which completely ignores that the kids will redress them anyways, while selling toys that are either missing pieces or beat to hell, matter-of-fact, one of the toys I've seen was practically broken, with one being a dollhouse that has a broken elevator being sold for $18. They passed one of the items that I attempted to sell but I wasn't given a reason why. All this isn't getting into how they lowball your items and the owner's response was especially unhelpful. If you have some baby items and toys that need a new home, I'd suggest donating them to charities. Need some extra funds? I suggest selling on Marketplace, Letgo, Depop, Poshmark, or eBay, NOT at Once Upon a Child. Fairly negative experience and I don't see myself selling here again.

Quite possibly the worst and most unprofessional staff. Not quite sure what my expectation was…read morethough considering that you have immature, unprofessional teenagers in charge. I'm willing to put up with shopping at a filthy, unorganized store such as this, in hopes of finding some bargains... BUT, when the bare minimum customer service doesn't exist, that's where I draw the line.... I walk in tonight and I'm 3rd in line. One cashier (a young man) is the only one checking people out, while the two girls standing behind him loudly bicker back and forth for about 10 min about who was charge based on their title. I stared at them unsure if they were fighting or what. Apparently they were just kidding with each other and perhaps thought it was funny to completely ignore the people in line while the poor new kid did all the work. It's almost my turn, and one girl finally says to the other "can you check her out" and I step up, I told them both that whatever that was, was very unprofessional. It's all that I said. Her response??? "Sorry but he's training".... I'M SORRY WHAT?!?! 1) What does training have to do with the fact that you are both yelling behind the cash wrap? 2) If you're waiting on my turn, given that I have a return to show the new hire how to process it, then communicate that to me! I don't mind waiting if someone is truly apologetic and takes a second to acknowledge that I'm standing there. If I were that new hire, I'd never come back. My issue wasn't having to wait in line, my issue was their inconsiderate behavior and lack of respect and acknowledgement, and it needs addressed. A simple "hi", "I'll be right with you", or "thank you for your patience" goes a longgggg way!!!
