Really liked this spot! It's in downtown Campbell near "The Spot" or closer to the famous Campbell water tower. My bff and I decided to check it out and did a tea sampling of different types of green teas (there is a list you can choose from by green/Black..etc) and it came with a paper/guide to write notes on which ones you tried/liked which was helpful. After learning about the teas we decided to order an iced tea to go! I had the watermelon oolong which was tasty without sweetener. My bff had the herbal one with the homemade lemonade and she loved hers too! This cute store has so many teas to choose from it can be overwhelming but the owner is nice and knowledgeable...she knows her stuff! Can't wait to come back ... read more

I spent a good 10 minutes walking around looking at the different varieties they offer. I am just beginning to understand the health benefits of tea and don't know the first thing, so I needed help. One of the owners was filling tea at the counter, and the other was organizing teas across the room. They never looked up, never greeted me. I approached the woman at the counter, and standing in front of her, she still didn't look up until I asked about the different types of tea that would have a bold flavor. She didn't seem to understand such a simple question. The other woman came over and interjected in a way that appeared that she was annoyed. She showed me an entire wall of teas before walking away, and never did indicate a tea with the taste I had asked about. The place is not inviting, contrary to other reviews, and it is most certainly not warm. Another customer commented to me that it was strangely and uncomfortably quiet. Some low-key music would help. It would be a place for someone who knows what they want. I was excited to find the place on a search because I'm only five minutes away. I'll never go back. read more

Was in just last night. I am a black tea lover and her flavor selections were fantastic. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, I love when that happens! She offers sample sizes so you can test out some teas before purchasing a large bag-- this makes me very happy as I have purchased many a tea that ended up being dollars wasted. I purchased 2 samplers, one mini bag and then a cup of Mocha Chai to go- fantastic! I will be back next week to purchase the full bag of Rockville Raspberry as it was delicious! Steepers is a must if you are a tea lover. As a small business owner I give it 5 stars as I know it can take months to work out kinks and get everything moving smoothly and from what I have seen so far she is definitely on the right track! This review is for the loose leaf tea products only. In a word: fabulous! Steepers has an enormous selection of all tea varieties -- black, white, green -- as well as rooibos, honeybush, herbals and other infusables. All loose leaf teas, including custom blends, are available in small glass sample jars, so you can see and smell every product before you buy. Masala Chai and Bourbon Street Vanilla were standout blends for me. Don't see an herbal blend that you like? Make your own at the blending table, where ingredients from anise seed to verbena are available for your choosing. I came in looking for an oolong and there were several good quality imports to select from. I was lucky enough to snag the last packet of Quangzhou Milk Oolong. I made a pot as soon as I got home and the soft notes of caramel and milk that scent the unbrewed leaves are present in the brewed tea as well, over a solid foundation of clean mountain greenery that makes oolong one of my favorite varieties. I usually take two sugars in tea, but this Milk Oolong is terrific "black", with its own natural sweetness. While not cheap by supermarket standards, I expected to pay twice as much as what I ended up paying for this kind of quality and selection. Plus the convenience of having samples to browse makes Steepers a better deal than ordering from the big online suppliers, like Art of Tea or Amazon. If you are looking for loose leaf tea or the perfect herbal blend in the South Bay, Steepers is the place to go. read more

I went in today to check this place out based on all the positive reviews. I'm new to loose teas and I felt the lady who works/owns the shop was extremely rude and condescending. Apparently you need to know exactly what you want when you go here. She offered no help in suggesting combinations or offering blends she already had made. I won't be returning, and that's a shame because I like to support small businesses especially those is Campbell. read more

If you've been in the South Bay over the last two weeks, you know it's been unusually cold. Now Im used to Truckee temperatures but still it's been pretty frosty. After a large breakfast and feeling the food coma coming on, I went in search of warm caffeine. Stumbled across this gigantic selection of tea products. The English owner of this shop one day decided she loved tea so much, she started doing hardcore research and opened her own place. The black and green tea selection is pretty large and I ended up with a Royal Ceylon Gunpowder, being an unusual blend of black teas. Also got a matcha from Kenya. Yes Kenya! didnt know they had that process there and I was told they're making it to Japanese standards. Ive not tried yet but will soon. You can also make you're own custom blends if you like but I think the selection of classic pure ones is enough to keep you going for a long while with no other combinatorics necessary. read more

Definitely a fan of tea so this was on my radar to visit. Now the tea quality here is actually pretty good but I would prefer to purchase from other tea companies I have sampled from. The drinks I ordered included a hot Genmaicha green tea and an iced peach nirvana tea. Both of these are not sweet but they have sweeteners on the side if you choose to add some. Now the people behind the counter are friendly and nice but they seem flustered so it gives me a wrongful impression that they may not be the right people for running the shop. It is not an issue as confidence comes with time and also as long as they do their job properly there is no complains from me. I do however do not prefer to come back only because I believe I can prepare a better drink with the tea I have at home and would prefer to purchase tea leaves from other high quality competitor tea providers. read more

I'm a big fan of Julie and Steepers! Don't let her accent fool you, she's very sweet, approachable and knowledgeable. We purchased a variety of teas including one of my favorites "Organic Kyoto Cherry Rose", and Julie was nice enough to let us try some sample teas and a very yummy lemonade. If your new to tea, her shop carries teas in jars to waft and you can always ask for a sample. I came here on the suggestion of a fellow tea-enthusiast and was glad I did. It's in the nice area of Downtown Campbell, very easy to find, with parking on the street and a few structures nearby. They have every kind of loose leaf tea imaginable and some you probably hadn't imagined before. I saw all the tins and mixings they had to make your own and was intrigued but the owner seemed to have a friend hanging with her at the counter and I felt too shy to intrude and ask for assistance, so I bought a couple of their packaged bags. She did ask if I wanted a sample of one of her Earl Grey's she had recently brewed and it was pretty tasty. I'm drinking the Lavender Butterfly tea (a green tea with lavender) and love it! Next time I go (and their will most definitely be a next time!) I hope that someone offers to help me with their teas or I have the sense to actually ask. read more

They have walls full of racks of jars you can open to smell each type of tea, an enormous selection, and they serve hot and cold tea so that you can buy a cup to enjoy it right in their charming shop. I stumbled upon this place while strolling around downtown Campbell. As an avid tea drinker who doesn't care for a lot of the mainstream stuff I was pleasantly surprised to find this cute shop that had just about any tea I could imagine. I spent quite a bit of time looking at all the teas, smelling the samples, and asking quite a few questions about the teas. With help from the owner, I ended up making a tea blend to give to a friend as a birthday gift. This is the only place I know of where I can create my own blend! I explained what my friend's favorite tea is and the owner helped me recreate it and gave advice on the ratio of ingredients to make it just right. I haven't heard yet if my tea measures up to my friend's favorite tea, but I'm glad I found this place! I'd definitely come back! read more
