When organizing the party I was looking for a place that could accommodate our big group and the tea party options were explained very clearly on the website so it was easy to book. We had the my lady's respite as our menu and we were able to pick 3 teas for our group to share. The menu included several sandwiches and scones plus some desserts at the end, although I am not sure if the desserts are always included or just were for tea parties. The portions were perfect to leave us feeling full but not stuffed. For the teas we wanted to make sure there was something everyone would like so we picked the English Breakfast, Blackberry Jasmine Oolong, and Chamomile Lemon. All three were great but the blackberry tea was the most popular. The service was amazing! Everyone who helped us was so kind and they included bells in case we needed anything. I recommend having a mixture of regular vs decaf tea, so you can enjoy as much tea as possible - unless you're not sensitive to caffeine. The mango and strawberry flavors are delightful. Their scones and petit fours are pretty good. The sandwiches and salads are meh. I wouldn't come super hungry if you're a big eater like me, unless you're ready to down like 150 grams of carbs in one sitting. This was a cute spot to celebrate a birthday. My niece wanted to have a tea party and we booked a Saturday afternoon slot. We didn't have a large party and didn't opt for the private area. Spots do fill up quickly for private room reservations. We had Karen as our server. She answered all our questions and came in to check on us throughout our time. She brought out a cute heart petite four with butterfly gummies and a candle for the birthday girl, it was a nice touch. The sandwiches and pastries are small, it's not filling unless you order multiple servings. The room is nicely decorated and the gift shop area is just as cute. The service was excellent and the tea selection was wonderful. Even the kids enjoyed the experience. Come for the beautiful British tea-room atmosphere and impeccable service -- just don't come expecting the food to be the highlight. The sandwiches and scones were fine but nothing particularly memorable, and the rainbow cake we tried was extremely sweet. For the price point, I expected the food quality to be better. I was also surprised that the food was not served on the classic tiered tray -- everything came out on separate plates instead. Another thing to note: they do not allow sharing plates. If adults share with kids they add about $15 per person, which can add up quickly. Typical pricing from the menu is approximately: Afternoon tea selections: about $28.95-$52.95 per person Children's tea: around $29.95 High Tea for Two: about $99.95 Tax and about 20% gratuity are added, so the total can climb quickly. Our bill for two adults and two kids came to about $215, and we ordered fairly conservatively. As a British customer, I was particularly excited to visit Lisa's Tea Treasures and was hoping for the warm, welcoming atmosphere and attentive hospitality typically associated with a traditional tea experience. Unfortunately, that was not what we received. We visited with a group of mums and young girls and, while the food itself was enjoyable, the entire experience was overshadowed by poor service. From the moment we sat down, our server did not introduce herself, explain how the menu worked, or make any effort to help first-time guests navigate the experience. Instead, we were immediately told that we only had two hours at the table and could only choose three teas. The focus seemed to be on rules and restrictions rather than hospitality. The server remained at the table waiting for us to order, creating an uncomfortable sense of pressure before we had even had a chance to settle in. When we asked questions about portions and what might be suitable for the children, we were met with responses such as, "I don't know your children," rather than helpful guidance or suggestions. A simple explanation of portion sizes or recommendations would have gone a long way. Throughout the visit, the server's manner felt impatient, judgmental, and unwelcoming. We never felt like valued guests. For a venue built around the experience of tea service, this was especially disappointing. When I raised these concerns, the response was not an apology or an effort to understand our experience. Instead, the server became defensive, attempted to justify her behaviour, and accused me of being rude. There appeared to be no willingness to accept constructive feedback. The interaction felt passive-aggressive and unprofessional. The situation worsened when I explained that I did not feel the service warranted gratuity. The owner responded by saying she would add back an additional charge that had previously been removed. There was also visible whispering and discussion in the kitchen following the complaint, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. What should have been a special afternoon for a group of mothers and daughters ended up being disappointing and uncomfortable. The food was nice, but hospitality is a fundamental part of a tea room experience, and unfortunately both the service and management response fell far below expectations. As someone who grew up with traditional tea rooms in the UK, I left feeling that the experience completely missed the warmth, guidance, and gracious service that make afternoon tea special. read more

I think it is crazy that I have not made a review for this place yet. I have been taking daughter here every year around December to enjoy the cmas decor and place settings. I love that there is a child's menu. The scones and sandwiches taste pretty good. I always finish it and never have leftovers! I've celebrated my 21st birthday here, and for a group of 15 girls the total came out to around $600, which I think is pretty reasonable considering we had our own private room, a gift table setup, a birthday tiara, and two staff members who were super attentive the entire time. I recently came back to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday with a party of five. We ordered three Lady Respite plates and two Duchess Delight plates, which came out to about $288 (including tip). The staff were friendly and attentive, but the only small hiccup was that our server didn't seem to know it was a birthday celebration even though I noted it in the reservation. Once I mentioned it, she kindly brought out my mother-in-law's dessert with a candle, which was really sweet. The food here is always consistent and delicious. Each tea set comes with a nice variety including finger sandwiches, a savory treat or quiche, seasonal scones with Devonshire cream and jam, and dessert, all paired with your own pot of tea. People sometimes think finger foods won't fill them up, but after a few cups of tea, great conversation, and enjoying every bite, everyone at our table was full and happy. Overall, Lisa's Tea is a South Bay gem and easily one of my favorite tea rooms. My Goddaughter chose Lisa's Tea Treasures to help me celebrate my birthday. The ambiance is a lovely Victorian tea setting complete with beautiful and elegant tea servings. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately to one of my favorite spaces, where we had the side where the couch was. The ambiance and the look of the room was great, super floral and really gives that Alice in wonderland tea party vibes. I went into Lisa's retail spot since I called earlier to ask about clotted cream... was making a traditional English tea time for my son's English class - the kids were going to talk about the time period and experience "tea time." Had never had clotted cream before, so was hoping I could try a tester from the restaurant before actually purchasing a jar. The restaurant makes it daily, and was out by the time I arrived. The lady who helped me gave me the recipe... they add cream to the clotted and whisk it, so it's fluffier. She suggested whipping cream, but I actually used mascarpone since it wouldn't need the sugar. I really liked it.... Super fluffy and went well with the jam! The service was excellent though, I found her super helpful. Even told her what I was planning on making and she provided insightful advice on a traditional English tea time. Parking can be hard due to limited spots in the parking lot but you can find more places to park along the streets. I'm always looking for excuses to have a high tea experience, and for that reason, I've been lucky enough to visit this location with friends twice this year. Note to those visiting for the first time, there's a fair amount of parking in the back and the location is easy to find in Campbell. Reservations can be constrained around holidays like Mother's Day, so be sure to plan ahead and reserve well in advance. You can come all decked out in your best English high tea floral dress or something a little more casual--the attire really does run the gamut. The decor is cute, fun, and everything you'd want and expect at a proper English tearoom. When you enter, you immediately step into their gift shop, which includes a fair number of tea sets in a variety of patterns and all the tea accessories and tchotchke you can imagine. During one visit, they were very accommodating of dietary restrictions, as my friends did not eat any pork products or gelatin. This was greatly appreciated. They were also wonderful with the kids, who had a fabulous time. The mini pizzas were a big hit with some very picky eaters. As alternatives to tea, the kids could choose from hot cocoa, milk, or lemonade, which were also served in teapots to their delight. The adult plate included a sundried tomato sandwich, a chicken salad croissant, cucumber mint sandwich, a ratatouille savory, a mushroom and cheese savory, and a scone with devonshire cream and jam, but the menu seems to change pretty routinely to keep things fresh and new. For dessert, I chose the black forest cake. All the food was tasty and plentiful, so be sure to come hungry. I noticed a number of tables had their desserts boxed up to take home, which I probably should have done in retrospect because the rest of the meal was so filling! Just went with my two good friends and we had a great time. The fact that they now have a gluten free menu made my heart so happy! I finally could enjoy tea sandwiches with my friends again! My only "complaints" are the crustless quiche could have used a bit more flavor/spice/something and the gluten free brownie was just ok. For our birthday party, we decided to try a high tea party and were recommended we try Lisa's. This place does not disappoint! When we arrived, everything was already beautifully set up and everything was very well thought out. To start, the petite savory we got was a little mushroom tartlet, and as someone that loves mushrooms I thought it was delicious. Next we had the scones which were served with cream and preserves. Some people in our party got a chocolate scone and others got a fruity one, but you didn't get to choose which one you got. I preferred the fruit one overall, and many others agreed which is was some of us wished they were able to choose their scone. The sandwiches were all super yummy! My favorite was the sun-dried tomato goat cheese sandwich, and the pesto nut sandwich. Everything paired really well with each other and was a perfect addition to the tea. I highly recommend the decaf French vanilla tea. And for the size of the plate, the lunch was surprisingly filling. Finally, the dessert was probably my favorite part. We had the option for a dessert trio or a mixed berry cake. I opted for the mixed berry cake and have no regrets. The cake was super moist and when paired with the cream was very light. Despite being slightly full from lunch, we were able to finish the cake slice. The fresh berries and whipped cream were a great way to end the meal. I also recommend a stop in the gift shop. You are able to purchase some teas and they have an amazing assortment of tea cups and tea sets that are really fun to look at. Overall, the party preparation was made very simple, and came out very elegant and beautiful. The presentation of the venue and food was amazing, and every bite of food was light and flavorful. The place settings were very pretty with fresh flowers and biscuits with lemon curd. We ordered the Moroccan Mint, Strawberry Peach, and Strawberry Herbal teas. We liked the fruit ones the best. It would have been nice if they included sugar cubes, honey, and/or cream for the tea but it may be available upon request. One of my favorite tea places to go to! My mom and I love this place so much! I recently found out about Lisa's Tea and haven't stopped coming since. I had a girl's day with my mom, my birthday, and my graduation here. I took one step into the tea house and fell in love. The smell made me feel like I was transported to Bridgerton (they have tea containers of them!!) There were so many varieties of tea cup sets and tea leaves, that you could buy after or before. (we bought 2 tea leaves) I didn't know what to expect as it was my first time in a tea house but it was so cozy. They had a variety of tea sets to choose from and each one paired so well with each tea we chose. Each set comes with scones, sandwiches, and desserts. My favorite would have to be the Summer Regatta Tea (Peach Strawberry). I love floral, fruity scents so this was perfect for me, but if you aren't into that, I suggest My Lady's Respite or Louie XIV's Favorite, it's not as floral and less sweet. The service was even better. They took the time to explain to my mom and me about the menu and even asked us if we needed any substitutes (if you do, like being lactose, they can subsitute it for you). They were so helpful and patient throughout the whole time. They came back constantly to check on us and ask if we wanted more hot water for the tea. The overall experience was kind of disappointing. We had looked at the menu before so we're not surprised about the prices. We were surprised about the amount of food. We ordered the 49.49 lunch. It came with a plate, not even the size of a regular dinner plate. It had three sandwiches two triangles and one heart shaped in total. I would say it probably barely equated out to just two pieces of bread for like the top in the bottom with the cucumber cream cheese sandwich, which I just usually love had very little cream cheese, and the cucumber didn't even cover the entire sandwich and then there was a scone. We did get a full pot of tea, each of us, and then dessert. The bread was not very fresh. I can't say that it was stale, but I always think of a piece of bread, especially a white piece of bread as something that would be soft, The service was very slow. It was not crowded at all. Most of the time they were only our table of four and another table. They put a bell on your table and you ring it when you're ready to order when you need something we found our self ringing the bell quite a bit. It's a two hour slot that you're allowed, but we didn't get out of there till closer to 4 o'clock because everything was so slow from getting our tea to the meal to the dessert and then even the bill. The Christmas decor the China, the tree they had and all the other decorations were very cute. I would not go back. Something different to do. I thought the tea was over steeped, would be nice to be able to remove it from the tea pot. I drink alot of tea so I'm just picky on this. The last glass or 2 were very strong. The bell ringing system was also confusing to the server I would ring the bell and they would end up at another table. I had to ring multiple times to have someone come to our table. I really enjoyed the cookies. I bought the biggest package and still this is one thing I had that was most memorable. read more

I haven't been to Lisa's since the pandemic and they moved out of the Pruneyard. I was excited to return. The hostess sat us quickly and introduced the server Lilliana. She never smiled the entire time we were there- it was like it was painful to serve us. We ordered the Lady's respite and the gluten free version for my mom. The food was good - although the chicken salad had too much tarragon. For dessert we had lemon tart and gluten free brownie. The brownie was moist and delicious, the lemon tarts crust was dry and overall the tart was not appetizing . The room we were in was also very loud. I've passed by Lisa's Tea Room so many times but never stopped in until I hosted my own tea party and wanted to get a feel for how it's done at a proper tea room. It's important to note the restaurant is closed on Mondays and reservations are highly recommended when they are open. My friend is also into high tea, so we made a reservation for an afternoon tea. We arrived and were immediately greeted and seated in one of the lovely tea rooms by the window. It really was like stepping back in time for a ladies high tea. We were so excited our server was just so lovely. From the tea selection I chose the Royal Wedding (Champagne Raspberry) just lovely. I chose "My Lady Respite" an excellent choice. Fresh scones with Devonshire cream & preserves Tea Sandwiches - Egg salad, chicken tarragon, Sundried tomato, pesto nut and cucumber mint. This was such a lovely dining experience. If you're looking to just have a relaxing fun tea and light sandwiches Lisa's Tea Treasure would be a great option. The gift shop is great and filled with lots of adorable tea treasures. I've purchased some items to add to my tea collection for my own tea parties. The Chicken Tarragon is my absolute favorite and often order these now for when I'm hosting tea parties at my home. Came with a friend for a 3pm afternoon checkin. Service is fine. Staff is friendlier. This is a decent place for high tea. Decor is victorian traditional. Overall the selection of teas is great. The freshly baked scones are delicious. But the orange marmalade sandwich was just allright. I hope they improve the quality of their sweet and a couple savory sandwiches.
