This is personally one of my favorite tea shops to be a regular at. She has a wide variety of teas, dried fruits and herbs, not lacking in quality. I first stopped in a year or so ago looking for lavender buds for a recipe. I had already made my rounds at Whole Foods and other health stores and it was ridiculously overpriced for the amount you got, not to mention they were dried so that they were brown and lacking in scent and flavor. Imagine my surprise when I walk in to this lovely shop and find a 2 oz bag of beautiful lavender buds for a very fair price. I quickly fell in love with this shop simply by exploring her tea blends (you even can blend your own teas!) and tea things. She even carries dried stevia leaves! She is very knowledgeable about high quality teas and readily answers all my questions. My favorite teas there have been the Lady Lavender Earl Grey, the Sweet Watermelon Oolong and her Matcha Green Tea Latte is to DIE for with a bit of nutmeg sprinkled on top. I find the teas are so delicious, there isn't much of a need to even sweeten! You will love this little shop! :) read more

All of the teas and herbals are available for a smell, in a fresh made cup while you wait, or in a vacuumed sealed bag to take home. Julie knows her tea, and makes great suggestions. I stumbled upon this place while strolling around downtown Campbell. As an avid tea drinker who doesn't care for a lot of the mainstream stuff I was pleasantly surprised to find this cute shop that had just about any tea I could imagine. I spent quite a bit of time looking at all the teas, smelling the samples, and asking quite a few questions about the teas. With help from the owner, I ended up making a tea blend to give to a friend as a birthday gift. This is the only place I know of where I can create my own blend! I explained what my friend's favorite tea is and the owner helped me recreate it and gave advice on the ratio of ingredients to make it just right. I haven't heard yet if my tea measures up to my friend's favorite tea, but I'm glad I found this place! I'd definitely come back! read more

What a treat to find rooibos tea in this gem of a store in downtown Campbell. I grew up drinking rooibos in South Africa so I was thrilled to find a local supplier to provide a taste of home. I drink a lot of green tea and getting pretty picky. The bagged tea you buy in stores just doesn't cut it for me anymore and so loose leaf is the only way to get better quality and variety. I have bought some online but nothing compares to the selection here. I like that they have all the teas in glass jars that I can smell before I buy them. The prices can be a little steep for some of them, but it is well worth it to me for a really good cup of green tea. read more

Decided to take a stroll through downtown Campbell to check out the great ambience I've heard so much about. There, nestled between a retro store and a jewelry store, I found a hidden treasure of a tea shop. This tea shop had a huge selection of teas, from traditional teas, to flavored teas, to rooibos, to herbals. They keep samples of all the teas in small jars readily available for customers to smell. I had a great time experiencing all the aromas. Talk about free aromatherapy. Toughest part was choosing just one. I'll definitely be back to try more teas, both hot and iced. read more

Love love love!! I come here a few times a week for iced/hot tea and the incredible almond milk matcha. The owner introduces me to new delicious teas constantly. A few of my favorites so far: matcha, furry peak green tea, and milk oolong. Anything you could possibly want, it's all here. Not only is the best part about this small business is the variety of teas but also the owner is a real gem and I always enjoy chatting with her. We have been looking for a tea shop where we could start rebuilding our tea collection since moving from Chicago (Adagio Tea and TeaGschwendner have our votes there!). My family and I were excited to learn about Steepers in downtown Campbell. We planned to visit this store but were pleasantly surprised to find it on the same street as the Campbell Farmers Market. After a morning of shopping for fresh fruits we found ourselves lucky to stumble across a tea shop, and surprise! It was the same one we had read about online. Extremely high hopes for us and we were completely let down. Great tea store with a big collection? Maybe. Courtesy and knowledgable staff - two big thumbs down. I believe my wife was served by the owner and her daughter (?). Most tea shops allow you to smell the tea before you buy some to get a better sense of the tea. Others will flat out brew you a cup. Now Steepers had some samples out to smell but one particular blend that my wife was interested in didn't have one so we asked to smell some. After some push back from the staff we finally did get to smell some. And when we asked to buy a small sample, more push back! Seriously? We are ASKING to give you some money for the product you sell. And what happens? She looks around the store and then makes a snippy comment - "OK, I guess I could make a sample for you". Wow. Seriously? If cold, impatient, and incredibly rude is part of the charm of this store - then great they succeeded. Otherwise, the customer service can be extremely moody and definitely not worth putting up with for tea. Unfortunately, we will be continuing our quest for a local tea shop with great tea and great customer service. If I could rate this lower than 1 star, I definitely would. I think they are OK. They have an overwhelming amount of tea. Which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. When I went awhile back some of their teas were scented. It depends on if you are into that. I'm a tea purest so not a fan of that. The owner seems nice. I just hope they focus in on their products so they survive in the long run. It might also be nice if they had more friendly seating in the middle of the store. I've had good tea there. I'd go back. read more

Just loved browsing around in this store! It has the perfect layout to really get acquainted with teas. By the time I checked out, I was blending my own! Left with some great blends but my favorite by far was the Rocky Horror Spice blend. A mix of savory and sweet tastes, it makes a perfect afternoon cup of tea. The dorian grey is fantastic and I will be picking some up next time I stop by. I really like that there's a large selection of unique flavored green teas! My friend and I stumbled upon Steeper's after a visit to the used bookstore across the street. We both love and collect teas, and were thrilled to find this new tea shop. The selection is huge, and everything can be made to order. The owner was very sweet, she even gave our little girls tangerines to eat while they waited for our tea to brew. What a unique tea shop! Julie Davey, proprietor, has put her heart, soul, and savings into making a world class tea shop that is stocked with over a hundred varieties of loose teas and herbs. She is very knowledgeable about the teas and their origins and all the various properties and benefits of the herbs and herb/tea mixes. She has developed many very interesting tea mixes of her own. Flavors and aroma and ingredients are so diverse that there's one, or two, or three combinations that will be favorites for every customer. We need more places like this; an absolutely fantastic place sit and have a cup of tea. Such a well-curated space in a town that needs it. Not only is the selection vast and thorough, but each tea is available to smell before you have a cup or buy a bag. Tea accessories are of course in abundance as well; surely no amount of tea is complete without the accoutrement, necessary or otherwise. And all of this run with unyielding care by an endlessly lovely woman who loves the product she sells; a trait too often undervalued. Naturally, she brews green, black, and herbal at the proper temperatures for the proper time, and as if that weren't cause enough to stay and enjoy the positively lovely space, there's seating inside as well.
