If I can give it a no start I would... worst customer service experience. For a drip coffee that I never got. They are not even busy 3 girls in the counter one eating and drinking coffee wile the other two just chatting away with no rush or care in the world. They're to busy to worry about the few customers they have. Asked for a drip coffee ask to wait no problem! but then they serve our coffee to someone else they proceed to make the customers after us, there coffee yet our drip coffee never came. Never would I ever come here again or recommend this place left the place with no coffee and no refund. The lack of respect to there customers is just unbelievably.I don't give bad review but this one I just could not. Make ur customers a priority just a little advice. Apologize is always a good trate to have. read more

A very nice and cozy place to hang out and relax with friends or by yourself! They have a great selection of teas and coffees. I ordered their Jasmine Pearl white hot tea -- excellent! Very flavorful and warmed me up in the cold temperatures. They have board games and very comfortable seating. Just a very inviting place to spend some quiet time. (It was about $5.40 for a hot tea including a $1 tip) read more

Great customer service!! I ordered the mint chai and it was too minty for me. The barista overhead my comment on it being too minty and offered to make me a completely new drink-- a dirty chai. It was delicious!!! Definitely my cup of tea and what I should've ordered initially. I also ordered a few baked goods and OMG they were to die for. Definitely recommend the almond croissant. I would definitely go back if I visited Flagstaff again! read more

Super cute tea cafe! Two of us ordered coffee (which was super delicious for a tea cafe), and one of us got a tea latte. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is super nice. They have countless tea in bags as well that were not overpriced. A great souvenir from Flagstaff! read more

Really enjoyed my time at Steep! I was travelling with a friend on a Southwest Girl's trip and this place caught my eye as soon as we got to Flagstaff. We wondered over after dinner, abstaining from the six pack we originally intended to bring back to our Airbnb in favor of something lighter. We were pretty stuffed after dinner so yes, we skipped alchohol for tea. I'm not sorry we did! Steep has a relaxing yet fun environment with a good variety of beverage options. They also had an enticing array of pastries at the register area which I unfortunately did not partake in due to the aforementioned fullness. There were a decent amount of people in the shop when we got in, but it was not overly crowded, so we decided it would be okay to take a seat on the couches. If a bigger group came we figured we could always move. We ended up keeping that seat for an hour and a half. It was great relaxing and talking with a warm teapot to fill my cup. The waitress also told me to let her know if I needed any more hot water when she delivered the the teapot and cup to our table. We tried: -Milk Oolong: Definitely recommend if you want something creamy but don't want a milk-based beverage. It is very light but still satisfying. I liked this enough to purchase a canister of loose leaf to take home. -Butterscotch latte: A little sweet for me, but not overly so. It was still tasty. This reminded me of Butterbeer in Harry Potter World at Universal! Just a heads up in case you're wondering where to leave used service items: I was looking for a dish bin to place our cups in but did not see one. When I asked an employee, she said we could just leave them on the table or place them on the bar. Wanted to pass this along because I'm always worried about leaving cups out if there is a designated place to put them, but at Steep it's fine to leave them where they are when you're done and they will grab them. Steep is worth a stop on your next jaunt through Flagstaff, or multiple stops if you live close by! read more

What a great place to pop into on a cold winters day in flagstaff Service is friendly and they have alternative milks like coconut and almond. I got the berry truffle latte with Coconut milk and it was very very tasty. The flavor was really unique They will even made extra foam for you if you'd like A special shoutout to Annie and Sophia for making our visit here welcoming and enjoyable! I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. I came here a few months ago with some friends all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico and absolutely fell in love. If I were a millennial, and I am, I would put those cute little heart eyed emojis to show my love. A few weeks ago my friends and I were planning a trip to Flagstaff, AZ and as soon as I remembered that that was the place with the tea shop, I begged and requested that this tea shop be where we start off our trip in Flagstaff. They quickly obliged, and here we are! The tea is fantastic, the staff is knowledgeable and chill and friendly, and the aroma is top notch. If sniffing tea tea were illegal, I'd be in jail. I could spend hours in here cuddling up in the couches and reading a book; so relaxing! It's also nicely priced! Heck, while I'm here, I'll write a lovely poem dedicated to this place. ----- Oh, thou Steep. How I love thee. My heart leaps, as I drink tea. It's here that I sit, not worried a bit. I look at the menu, oh how I'll miss you! With your smells so delightful, your drinks so impactful, I sit here and ponder, my mind how it wanders "If this tea be so good, and the staff be so hood, What more could I ask, than to buy a tea flask? I could sip it on Friday, and drink it on Monday, I could keep it in April, and steep it in May. All while I pondered, "This Steep place is bae!" And so as I leave, this wonderful place, I have to believe, I'll soon find a space, Where their tea is online, and I can call it all mine, I'll purchase it soon, and gaze at the moon With tea in my hand, I'm Batman read more

We visited Steep for drinks. I'll start with the good. The seating area is cute (if not uniformly comfortable). The menu has a great selection of teas. And our drinks (the Ceylon iced tea and rastamon lemonade) were solid, if nothing special. But we didn't appreciate the service. The server who took our order wasn't friendly and didn't tell us how to pick up the drinks. When we went back to ask, we were abruptly and rudely shooed away and told our drinks would be brought to our table. Not surprisingly, our drinks weren't brought to our table, and instead the server yelled out our order and, without making any effort to locate us, just set them down by the order station. When we went to pick them up again, we let them know they'd forgotten two of our items, which were then brought out with no explanation. Just a frustrating failure of customer service for a cafe with good product and otherwise great reviews. read more

We visited this friendly tea shop while vacationing in Flagstaff. We sat at the bar, chatting with our server and trying a variety of teas. She poured us a tasting of Hoji Cha which is now our favorite tea! It was a memorable experience and I now order their loose leaf teas online. Shipping is always prompt and they send cute notes with each order. I love continuing to support this small business. read more

Came here with some friends to have something to quench our thirst while walking around the downtown area and happened to find this place. When we came here, they were only doing to-gos and pick ups which is fine because of covid-19. The worker was very kind and had our drinks ready pretty quickly. I forgot the name but I got a black green tea with tropic flavors drink. It was very refreshing and smooth. The flavor was very mellow but it was nice to drink. The witches brew lemonade and the strawberry lemonades were good too. Witches brew had a strong floral flavor that had a bit of a bite and the strawberry lemonade had very subtle flavor but good overall. read more

Best tea I have ever got! I got the lavender mint tea because we were so cold walking around Flagstaff and I am so glad we decided to stop in here as we were passing by. First of all, when you walked in, they have adorable seating areas around the windows that allowed people to sit on an elevated floor. The tea had milk on top of it and added a nice creamy texture to the tea. Also, the tea was made right in front of us and the tea was so flavorful. We used to love this place and the general atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. We really enjoy supporting local businesses as well! However they began not listening to our orders, particularly when it was busy, but sometimes they didn't seem to care when it was slow either. There were a few different occasions where we'd be given entirely wrong things. Having type 1 diabetes since a very young age means I am always extra diligent in stressing that no sugar can be added and confirming when we eat or drink out, to ensure it's free of any added sugar. The last 3 times (yes, 3: we enjoyed this place so we continued to try and continued to be disappointed), every time the sugar amount added was staggering and would've made me so horribly ill if I had more than my one sip. So I'd ask if I had the right order and each time we'd get intense attitude, despite our efforts to understand what happened or correct it. They wouldn't always correct the order with what we wanted either so I'd just give mine to my husband. Anyhow the owner contacted me and offered to correct the multiple errors by mailing us a gift receipt for one tea which I thought was really nice. It's been more than 2 years now since that offer and still haven't received anything in the mail from them and the owner has not been nice or helpful since that initial contact. I miss their tea but there are now better places in town to go and they've lost 3 faithful customers because of the lack of customer service those last several times we'd gone and the lack of diligence in how they made each order. I haven't gotten sick so it's worth it to not visit this place anymore. And my husband hasn't had to pay for his wrong drinks either so overall not going has become a win for us. I'm a huge fan of tea and worked downtown so we used to come here often too... I give them 2 stars because they really used to be good and kind before when they first opened and had really wonderful workers who did their best, but getting sick from a big sip isn't acceptable, especially since we were extra diligent as customers to avoid medical issues. We have friends who have had similar experiences with order mistakes and frustrations so it's not just us or we may have given them an additional chance since it's been so long. We're happy with our decision to avoid this place and support other great local tea places. The tea here is great, whether or not you get the right order, but the service became very bad, from workers and the manager or owner. read more

I really like this cute little coffee shop. It's got a large open window to look out from the inside and just people watch in the middle of downtown Flagstaff. There's a lot of space inside, a bar top, a few tables, and some seating to play board games, study, or hangout with some friends. They have a wide variety of teas, coffees, and specialty drinks. The vibe is just-- hipster. They have freshly baked goodies that are locally baked and a bunch of cute mugs, cups, and teacups on display that you can purchase! It seems like they love what they do and put love into their drinks. Pomegranate green tea had a little sweetness to it and was very yummy! read more

Super cool spot, frequent of many studying college students. Don't know how well they study, even though it's a chill environment, it is pretty busy. A very large selection of great Teas and other hot drinks. Loose tea is also available along with a nice spread of steeping items to take home, tea pots and mugs. This place is the epitamy of chill!!! Coffee spots, Starbucks and local joints abound here, but all pale in comparison to Steep. This is a great place to spend an entire lazy Sunday or a late start weekday morning, especially when there's a nip in the air. The best thing about this place is that its unique, its not just a hot beverage and a pastry, it is the warm and cozy laid back atmosphere. Staff is super nice and friendly, menu is varied and outside the box, and the seating definitely invites you to forget about the bustle and hustle of life. You can sit at the window sipping a vanilla mint latte and just gaze out at the weather if its gloomy or spend a few hours people watching. This place is perfection, you really could ask for nothing better than the ambiance and drinks at Steep. Next time I visit Flagstaff this spot will certainly be on my list of places to hit up again. A cute and cozy cafe located in the middle of downtown. My friends and I wandered into this cafe upon the recommendation of a local friend. The little tables and cushions in the window area were super cute and I can imagine myself studying for hours tucked into one of the windows. It was a very chilly day and the place was deliciously warm with the sweet aroma of teas. I got the seasonal drink Cinnamon Matcha latte with whole milk, which was appealing for the matcha aspect as well as the high caffeine content. The matcha was very potent and thick. The cinnamon was a minor note but it was tasty. The drink was just too gritty for my preference and I only wished the matcha was strained from my drink for a smoother experience. My friend ordered a Butterscotch latte with almond milk and was not a fan at all. It was very fragrant but the actual taste was overly mild and almost bland. Although we were not fond of our drinks, the actual cafe was very charming and offered a wide variety of unique items for gifts and personal use. The tea pots were too cute. I would be interested in returning to try more of their menu. read more

Highly disappointed. On a snowy Sunday afternoon my husband and I were looking for a cozy little coffee shop to enjoy a hot drink and get some work done. We scrolled through Yelp looking for coffee shops, with Flagstaff having many local places we decided not to settle with just Starbucks and check out something new. Steep seemed to have great reviews so we headed that way. The place has a nice initial vibe when you first walk in, the smells of the tea immediately consume you in a great way. There is a nice bar area you can sit at to enjoy your tea and tables along the windows that are very inviting. The menu is pretty extensive when it comes to tea but the coffee selections are basically nonexistent. I ordered a masala chai and my husband got the citrus lavender matcha latte. These were both very subpar teas in my opinion, didn't have an exceptionally strong flavor and tasted almost watered down. After ordering we quickly realized the lack of seating. Half of the place is full of products you can buy from teas to teapots and mugs leaving minimal space for seating. Eventually a couple got up from a window table and we sat down there, kinda cozy but a little awkward and cold with it being right next to the window. We did stay for a few hours, though mostly because we had already spent 10 bucks on our two drinks and needed the wifi. To end on a positive note and why I did give two stars instead of one, the staff here was very nice and helpful they seem to enjoy their jobs and treated customers very kindly. Overall I would not suggest this place, there are many other options in Flagstaff that I would try first. read more

Such a cool place to sit a relax a day away while people waiting on the best corner in Downtown Flagstaff. This place is excellent for a few reasons. One, this is my go-to spot for presents when I am bored of getting the same old stuff. My mom and brother are avid tea drinkers and they love the gifts I bring home for them. Two, this is m favorite spots to grab a book and unwind with some tea after a crazy week of work. They have a huge selection and I have not been disappointed even when I step outside of my box and get something I otherwise would not have. So grab a book, get a window seat and sip away the day. read more

We vacationed through the southwest about 2 months ago, and I'm still thinking about the amazing tea latte I had at steep. To be clear: I am a coffee snob. When we arrived here for our morning caffeine injection, and I realized they didn't have coffee...a slight panic overcame me. I decided to buck up for my husband (this strange being who keeps trying to GIVE UP caffeine- ridiculous). I am so glad I didn't insist we abort right away, because my latte (which I'm so sad I can't remember what flavor now) was so enjoyable. What a good alternative to morning coffee & to still feel like you're having a treat. I wish there were more places like this available closer to home. read more
