I prefer to have them make me masala chai which has a little spice and pairs well with their scones. They offer baked goodies from my fave scones, muffins, and lemon bars to whatever your heart is content for a sugar rush. Artfully displayed throughout the store, they do a fantastic job showcasing their products of select teas and teapots you can purchase. Staff is just friendly and welcoming. Cute tea shop with really cozy seating. Lots of blends for sale as well as some cute teaware. Service wasn't unfriendly but wasn't particularly welcoming either. I ordered a London Fog (earl grey tea latte) which was tasty however gave me a tummy ache. I asked for oat milk but idk if they used real dairy by accident? I didn't eat anything alongside the drink and the stomachache was immediate. I had breakfast that day but a few hours earlier. It seems like the drink is the most likely culprit which is very odd. Also, I couldn't get the WiFi to work here. It said it was connected to the network but wasn't actually functioning. Verdict: cozy with a couple hiccups. read more

I've been to Steep the past two times I've been passing through flagstaff and if you're a tea drinker this is definitely the place for you! They have a wide selection of teas, both hot or iced to quench your thirst. I love that they have several iced tea options (unsweetened) since sometimes I like to shake up my regular boring iced tea with a little flavor or having white tea, etc. They also have various herbal teas and even tea lattes. This most recent trip I tried the coco latte out of pure curiosity. It's tea with some milk, cacao nibs, orange peel, and apple. It was an interesting mix of flavors and not bad if you want a more milky beverage. I'd probably stick to just iced tea on another trip but hey you have to try something new sometimes. This time two others I came in with both enjoyed their picks - something with matcha and another tea. I can't remember specifics but they were happy. Stop on in if you are craving tea! read more

For as many times as I've been to Steep over the last 6 years or so, I've always had a good experience and a good tea! I love the vast selection of beverages and tea ware and gifts--I almost always fall in love with a mug, at print or card. And I don't think I've EVER gotten a drink that I didn't enjoy the flavor of. Not too strong, not too subtle. Just right. It's good to have a reliable go-to place in Flagstaff, especially when everything changes here so quickly. Haven't been here in at least a year and I ordered something new (to me): Lavender Mint Latte with almond milk and I highly recommend it! $5.49 for a masala chai. Overpriced and watered down. The only upside is their cups are quite large so you get bang for your buck however when that bang is watered down drink it's disappointing. My niece raves about Steep so when we were in town this weekend this was one of our first stops. I loved that it was open so late. Seating was awesome and I really like the vibe with the cushioned seats in the windows etc. they also have tables seating as well as a couch towards the beck end of the shop. They offer tea for purchase as well as other tea and gift options. Service was wonderful and all of our questions were answered. They have a posted menu, but if asked for their is a list of all the teas you can order. Don't be fooled by yelps description; this is not a coffee shop. There is no espresso etc. strictly tea. They do have a form of a matcha type drink and lemonade. Prices are a little high, but you are in a very popular part of downtown and all its history. The shop was clean and we had our drinks quickly. I ordered a iced pumpkin chai, two witches brew lemonades, and a couple other teas. My niece of course loved hers and the lemonades were good and came sweeter well. Unfortunately my pumpkin chai lacked flavor. Not only the chai, but I could t really taste the pumpkin. I should've gotten it hot. My sons tea wasn't as sweet as he'd like, but they added some liquid sugar and he was fine. I can definitely see why this is such a like-able spot. We have been to Flagstaff so many times but have never had the right opportunity to visit this place. It was just another chilly day and we wanted some nice warm drinks. I was initially waiting outside with the pup while my girlfriend picked us up some drinks. The barista told us we were allowed to have our dog inside! I had the chai and she got a London Fog. Best hot drinks I've had in a very long time! The space is so cozy. And the artwork for sale is very attractive. We had a great time, enjoying our drinks, with our favorite pup. Cool atmosphere and love all the varieties of tea....would definitely pick up a loose leaf here! This time we tried the: Chai latte - nice light flavor, if you're used to Starbucks or Black Rock ....this is definitely more like a tea, not as sweet and a lighter flavor Marsala chai - very fragrant, a bit spicy Hot cocoa - more of a dark chocolate than a milk chocolate so a bit more chalky but still good. I ended up mixing the chai and the hot cocoa ....cuz my daughter didn't finish it....and it was enjoyable lol I'd definitely go here again! read more

This is a lovely little tea shop in downtown Flagstaff which offers a varied selection of loose leaf tea to take home and to drink iced or hot. I called ahead to make sure that it was OK to bring our pups with us. If you have one or two well behaved doggos they don't mind, although I'd still call ahead to confirm since there is indoor seating only. I was impressed by the varieties they had for sale. Some teas I remember they had were Assam black, Gyokuro, and dragonwell green tea. I asked the friendly cashier what iced green and black tea drink she would recommend. She suggested the lavender mint green tea and the paradise blend black tea. Both were made in a few minutes brought right to our table. Both teas were delightful and very refreshing. It was a perfect way to cool down on this hot day. The paradise tea was infused with lychee flavor which was perfectly balanced with the rest of the tea and the lavender mint was made as a latte. It was delicate yet invigorating, lightly sweetened with a creaminess from the milk added (I opted for almond milk). For me I could taste more mint flavor than lavender. The tea cups and pots they sell are very unique and so adorable. I wanted to take home everything in the shop! A nice cozy tea cafe in downtown Flagstaff! I'm a totally tea person and this place is perfect for me. They have a variety of tea selections, not just they have a lot of options, but also taste good. :) I had a blueberry muffin and a cup of Milk Oolong, goodness, the tea was really milky (there was no milk in it), flavorful, and rich. Muffin was yummy too! And what I really like about this place is that the sitting area is really nice and unique. They have a floor sitting area by the window, which is really nice and cozy. I asked for a drop of heavy whipping cream, got half and half instead, and the breakfast sandwich was insanely dry. Sorry, but get some Splenda. Sitting in the window, watching the clouds roll by above and the people walk by through town, sipping a hot lavender mint green tea... the dream. Steep has to be one of my favorite places to walk to in Flagstaff, I consider it self care. Their burritos are probably a 6.5/10 just because they're premade and a little dry but adding salsa bumps it up a little. Steep Leaf Lounge located across the street from the Weatherford Hotel is such a brilliant blend of olde world Flagstaff and Namaste magic. I ordered their Vanilla Mint Chai, dirty. Mmmmmmm so good. We kicked back on the floor-pillowed window seats to enjoy the fragrant flavor and take a mo'. This is a place to visit leisurely, breathe and "get your Bhagwan vibe-on". I have been here twice and loved my experience both times. Due to COVID, orders must be placed at the storefront and taken to go. There are a couple tables set up outside which my boyfriend and I gladly sat at to enjoy our drinks. The first time I order the Autumn Plum seasonal tea and I have been thinking about it since! The flavor was amazing, not overly sweet, but definitely a fruity taste. My boyfriend ordered Pu-erh, and while the smell was not pleasant, the flavor was enjoyable. Our second visit to Steep was on a cold, windy day and we decided to stop by as we walked around downtown. I ordered a chai latte and my boyfriend ordered a london fog. Both of us opted for oat milk, which we were thrilled to see they offered. Our drinks were great and such an excellent relief from the cold! Dropped by this place on a Sunday morning to grab some tea and was super glad that I did! There was a bit of a line, but nothing too drastic. There is a fair amount of seating inside which is good since it does seem to get busy! The earl grey francais latte aka the earl grey vanilla latte caught my eye so I decided to go with that and seriously best decision ever! The drink was super good and honestly one of the best tea lattes that I have ever had. Great, robust earl grey flavor with a touch of vanilla and lavender to support it rather than drown it. Stopped in here for hot tea on a chilly day! Really nice masala chai latte. On the spicy side of course, with a gentle swirl of honey. They have whole, almond & oatmilk (no soy). My husband got a black iced cold brew which he said was very smooth and not bitter at all. We sat by the window on the little pillows. The whole place has a dusty charm, perfect for a first date, study session, or a quick catch-up. this is Not the place to get your to go, customized cup of coffee. Yay for tea houses! I know they're not as common as coffee houses, and that's so great because they are more unique! Especially this one. They have a large bar for you to sit or tables and chairs or even some window booths where you sit on pillows and cross your legs (my favorite). I really enjoyed the atmosphere within here, it's relaxing and friendly. They even have a ton of games for you to borrow if you so please. They have a mighty big tea list which changed frequently, so ask them if you're looking for something in particular, look at the list, or head over to the wall where they have a bunch of samples you can look at and smell. They also have a large array of items to purchase that are both from local artists as well as from established companies. There are a few snacks and baked items that you can munch on if you wish and some burritos (I think they might be breakfast?) that look like they are made somewhere else and sold here. Loved it! If I can give it a no start I would... worst customer service experience. For a drip coffee that I never got. They are not even busy 3 girls in the counter one eating and drinking coffee wile the other two just chatting away with no rush or care in the world. They're to busy to worry about the few customers they have. Asked for a drip coffee ask to wait no problem! but then they serve our coffee to someone else they proceed to make the customers after us, there coffee yet our drip coffee never came. Never would I ever come here again or recommend this place left the place with no coffee and no refund. The lack of respect to there customers is just unbelievably.I don't give bad review but this one I just could not. Make ur customers a priority just a little advice.
