We needed to get our carpets cleaned in anticipation of our new baby in April. We have two cats and a dog and haven't had the carpets done in the 5 years we lived here. We have our own Bissel cleaner that helps alleviate problems, but never got the job done completely. We called Alex at SteamPlus for an estimate and he came out to Cottage Grove within two days and gave us an estimate after a 5 minute walk through. About a month later I called to set up an appointment. He was flexible and accommodated the early times we needed. The price for the cleaning was definitely reasonable based on local comparisons I did and the results didn't disappoint. We could see the line in the carpet where he had cleaned and where he had yet to get. The carpets are now much lighter, we can't see the Resolve stain remover bleach spots that resulted from us cleaning up cat puke and the dark grease spot I tried hard to get out is now gone. I would highly recommend Alex. Also, the smell from the cleaning was almost non-existent and our cats/dog didn't notice anything other than some damp paws for a few hours. read more

We had several worrisome stains on both our carpeting and upholstery. Alex and Charles came within just a few days of my call, and were able to get out all of the stains, and the rest of my carpeting looks brand new. They were very thorough, and took the time to advise me on an issue with an area rug, as well as stain treating and pet hair removal techniques. He also alerted me to a potentially dangerous wasp situation going on on my patio door that I hadn't been aware of, and gave advice as to how to best deal with it. After checking out the reviews on Yelp, I decided to give Alex a try. I was dealing with a condo that the tenant totally trashed before moving out. I needed to put the condo on the market and so called Alex for help. He not only cleaned the carpeting, which was stained with who knows what, he recommended Pablo to clean the rest of the place. How refreshing to find a small business that actually cares about their customers! After reading the other positive yelp reviews for this company; I sent a request for quote through their website and was shocked to wake up at 7am to a response from Alex - he responded asking if he could stop by to provide an in-person quote. That same day he came by our house, gave us a very reasonable quote to clean 10 dining room chairs and asked when we would like the service done. (Even offering to do it that same day). Alex was very thorough in explaining what he recommended be done for the cleaning, giving us different options and was very knowledgable about the products and processes he uses for effective cleaning. After scheduling him to come back the following day, he showed up on time, was very professional, and did a FANTASTIC job getting our chairs to look like new again. On top of all this, he also left me with a bottle of stain remover (and explained how to use it, what it works well on, what not to use it on etc...).
