There was no other customers in the drive-thru when I placed my order. 1 sandwich with no peppers or mushrooms and a small sweet tea. 10 minutes later -with three cars behind me- I'm still waiting. Once the girl asked me "What?". I replied, "I ordered a sandwich with no peppers or mushrooms and a sweet tea ". She told me it was coming. She fixed herself a drink and another employee was on his phone but no one was apologizing or explaining anything to me. Over 15 minutes later I got my sandwich. Still no drink. Finally had to ask for it again. When I opened my sandwich I was furious. Cold, hard, WITH peppers and very little else. I have never gone in a restaurant before to complain, but I did. I went to this location while out doing some Christmas shopping. There were 3 cars waiting in front of me. I ordered the thrills cheesesteak with light mayo. The sandwich was prepared to perfection!! The onions, green bell peppers and everything was really good. Total wait time was about 15 minutes. Staff were nice and courtesy. It was only about 3 people working in there. I'm a fan of the Grand Gobbler (with everything on it), and have been for years! My issues (and removal of two stars) come from the following; 1. The price for my one meal was $18 dollars. Now, I usually don't have an issue with price...as long as I am getting a bang for my buck! On this day, I got the 12 inch sandwich, but only 9 inches worth of meat and toppings. I seriously had a whole area with nothing but bread and mayo! 2. My fries were not hot, neither were they filled to the top....which goes back to #1. After he had already handed me my drink I ask why the difference and he said that was for the meal. Ordered delivery through waitr. Restaurant made order incorrectly. I drove to restaurant, showed manager photos of my order and what was received, and she agreed sandwiches were made incorrectly. She advised me to complain to waitr and she would remake when they call the order in. It seems like this is a scam to defraud waitr app of money. She could have just remade the sandwiches while I was sitting there. Waitr customer service didn't respond so the experience ended up a waste of a trip and an hour of time with no resolution. Seems like I am swimming against the stream here with a positive review of this joint but I have loved this location for years. The food is good, I feel you could put a little more meat in you sandwiches but it's altogether a good product. The fries are excellent with the cheddar cheese sauce AND the have malt vinegar. Love vinegar fries. Also, if you don't want your sandwich the way it is on the board they are very willing to please. I don't think I have ever had a request denied. The manager is very attentive and helpful. The staff always has a smile and if you actually engage them in conversation they are really good folks. The sugar cookies are nice as well. Drive thru filled a huge order and made the other cars in the "fast food drive thru" wait 10 min to fill their order. When I asked if the inside was closed the guy at the window was rude and disrespectful. After leaving flustered, I decided to go back and speak to him about how I as a customer resented the way he handled the situation. Turns out the guy was the OWNER. He continued to interrupt me, get loud with me, and told me to get the hell out of his restaurant cause I was trying to explain to him how he could have handled the situation differently. He took a picture of me and my tag then he told me to never come back, but he doesn't have to worry about that. I'll never step foot there again and I don't advise anyone else to. read more

This time I ordered just small sandwich with just one car in the drive through before me. After waiting in line for over 20 minutes finally pull up for my order. Another 5 minutes of waiting (you would think my order would be ready by the time I got up there) As I look in the window there is food all over floor. Employees cooking and fixing with no gloves. Normally we love this place but today was a different story. The music was extremely loud, you could barely talk to the person at the table with you. Most of the tables needed to be wiped off and when I found a half-way clean one it was sticky. The drink and condiment station was filthy and the way it's set-up you have to lean over all the mess to get a lid to your drink. The food, thankfully, was still good. I had the large grandest chicken meal with a sweet tea and it was probably the best I've ever had from Steak Escape! The bread and veggies were fresh.
