We had hired this company to install a gallery wall at our office a while back. We had considered going with a more art-specialist business but since what we were hanging weren't particularly precious or fragile, they just needed to be straight and hung in the grouping/arrangement we had planned out, we thought this company was a solid choice. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed my the quality of service and also the demeanor of the technicians. I've seen artwork installed for exhibitions and in my experience, professionals wear gloves to protect the frames and use laser measuring tools to get everything level. Sadly, the technicians didn't really have any professional equipment or take proper steps to make sure to keep the frames and walls as smudge free as possible. On top of it all, there was a moment when one of the technicians became very patronizing and almost argumentative in tone to me and my coworker as we were trying to explain the way a frame needed to be hung. We were in an open office environment and even other coworkers noticed and made comments later about how unprofessional that was. Ultimately the pieces were all hung and have stayed up I now realize we could have probably simply spared the same amount of time and did it all ourselves. read more

He initially thought there would be an issue attaching the chandelier ceiling fans to the previous ceiling fan fixture but he worked it out. He took down two fans and installed two more in about 3 - 3 1/2 hours. There was an issue with the square not being set up to read the credit card, which ended up being a little time consuming but he eventually worked out the issue so I could pay. The company also provides a military discount to active duty military and disabled veterans which is a plus for me. We called this company to install a tv mount and hang the tv over a fireplace because of the height and the weight of the tv. We could probably have done it ourselves, but we opted for safety and convenience, and thought that it would likely get done faster and more efficiently than we could do it. We called several highly-rated companies and were impressed with the professionalism and politeness of this company; their quote was also excellent. Marvin was extremely nice and was also punctual for his appointment. We discovered that the studs in the wall we were hanging the mount on were 20" apart, and our mount was less wide than 20", meaning that both sides of the mount would not be bolted into a stud. Discussing our options, my husband asked Marvin to attach the side of the mount that the tv would pivot on (thus bearing most of the weight) into the stud, leaving the other side in drywall. He would not do that; he felt like he knew how to do it without a problem, so we let him do his job. After two or three experiments, we ended up purchasing a larger mount (from them) that would enable the attachment to be in a stud on both sides. This process of trying several ways to install our mount resulted in a few (4 or 5 maybe?) extra holes in our wall that were likely unnecessary. Yes, the tv is solidly mounted to the wall. Yes, the tv covers all the holes and anchors in the wall. However, when you call a professional to do an install, you expect them to have the expertise to make a proper assessment and do the job correctly the first time and not create extra holes in the wall! read more

My wife asked for a quote from this company and received a response from a Mr. Marvin Priester. He left messages to schedule an appointment through the Yelp app that my wife hadn't had a chance to respond to. He subsequently showed up at our front door step on a Saturday morning. I let him in and he offered to mount our 65 inch LCD TV for $150 (65 for the mount and 85 for installation). My wife and I agreed and he proceeded with installation, seemingly without issue. He did ask me to help him lift one side of the TV at one point, which I happily did. In hindsite, I shouldn't have allowed him to perform a task he couldn't handle on his own or without his own staff for help. I payed Mr. Priester $150 via check and he left. My wife and I didn't use the TV until the following day because we were running errands, but when we did we noticed an image distortion coming from the side of the screen Mr. Priester was holding. There is a clear ripple effect that looks like dropping a stone in water (see photos). We messaged Mr. Priester to let him know of this issue, and he messaged us back asking us why we waited to tell him until the following day. He also insisted that he couldn't have caused the issue because there was no obvious crack on the screen. A quick Google search clearly showed that this "ripple" effect can happen when too much pressure is applied to an LCD TV screen. We asked about repayment for the value of the 3 year old TV or at least refund of the mounting charge, but Mr. Priester said he had cashed the check and had no intention of paying any amount for the TV unless there was proof that he had broken the TV. He said he could send someone from a place called "Ben's Electronics" to assess the TV and determine if he was at fault for the TV damage. If he was at fault, he would pay for the TV expert's assessment as well as the the cost of used version of the same TV. If the assessment didn't definitely prove that his hand pressure caused the damage to the TV, he expected us to pay for the assessment. We didn't feel comfortable with having someone he chose assess the TV. We offered to pick someone neutral found from a website. Mr. Priester was initially agreeable to this, but insisted he would offer no money back unless someone clearly stated in writing that the damage was his fault. In speaking with someone with a TV repair company, they are not a legal entity and do not have the power to assess "fault" for TV damage. They can only diagnose and fix TV issues. From what we heard, this LCD ripple issue is generally permanent and can't be fixed; it is due to pressure being applied to the screen. It became clear to my wife and I that Mr. Priester was essentially doing anything possible to deflect responsibility for this and was never going to admit that this damage was caused by pressure he applied to the screen. We informed him that we are looking into addressing this issue through small claims court as clearly we were getting nowhere in our conversations with him. I've read some positive reviews about Mr. Priester, so it's a shame we had nowhere near the same experience. If you decide to have your TV mounted by Mr. Priester, I'm sure he more likely than not will perform a satisfactory job. Just be aware that if he damages your TV, he will have no intention of accepting responsibility for it. There appear to be plenty of other options on Yelp for TV mounting; we wish we had gone with one of those. read more

This is my first Yelp review. I'm writing this review to hopefully save someone else from this company's lack of professionalism. Let me start at the beginning, Steady Flow Hanging and Mounting arrived at my house late. I met the owner Marvin and we discussed where I would like the pictures. When we were discussing the pictures, he moved a picture I had hanging on the wall and scraped the wall. I asked if he was going to fix it and he said it just needs some paint and proceeded to argue why he didn't think it was his fault. In addition to arguing about the root cause he also wanted to argue about the paint color on the walls. (This is a new house and my husband I picked out everything in this house, including the paint on the wall.) I felt uncomfortable around Marvin. He was very argumentative and had a confrontational tone. He also didn't want to take responsibly for the damage he caused. I'm not sure he would have approach the matter in this way if my husband was present. I was so uncomfortable I only had him hang one picture. I am very disappointed I used Steady Flow Hanging and Mounting. Now I need to find someone to repair the wall they damaged and hang my remaining pictures. Save yourself and find another company to take care of your picture and wall mounting needs. read more

Ripped us off! Gave my husband a quote via text message to hang a large chandelier and said he would also install a button to lower the chandelier to make it easy on changing lights. My husband was at work during installation and Marvin told me that he could not install the button due to the electrical box. He did not deduct this from his original quote and then handed me receipts for all the additional equipment he used to include a ladder rental which was added to the quote after he finished. Of course he was gone by the time my husband got home with an additional 200 dollars.
