I had a truly great experience today at Enchanted Lighting. Numerous family members, including myself, have worked on that lamp to no avail. I googled Lamp Repair and found Enchanted Lighting. When I arrived, they took lamp (very heavy) from trunk of my car. I expected to leave it, but was told he thought he could fix it while I waited. It took him about 10 minutes and the charge was $16.00. Unbelievable!! I decided the best way to thank him for such quick, kind service would be to give this store a good review. The employees have never been the friendliest nor have the best personality. And today was no different. Especially from the short heavy-set guy that could not crack a smile if he had to. My mother has always said, "kill them with kindness." And "I know" I'm a gentleman and very polite! Unfortunately it does not work in this store. I tried to put a lamp back together that our dog had knocked over and broken, with no success. I went into E.L. with all pieces, in hand. The elderly man acted as though I had asked him to go outside and wash and wax my vehicle. He stomped to the back and was berating someone for selling me some shorter rods for the center of the lamp that I had purchased a month ago. I did not hear the full berating but I gathered that they did not need my busy. With this said I will not put a shadow on their front door! again! read more

Great customer service! I had a lamp that had a broken piece on it. I had been to Home Depot and to Lowe's and there was no piece to be found that would fit the part that was broken. I had searched online for a replacement part. I had to buy a whole new socket. It was at that time I decided that the repair was beyond my personal ability and so I went to this lighting store to see if they could replace the socket. Ironically, there was some random pieces on the counter from a previous customer who no longer needed those pieces for his lamp. Tim was the sales person that helped me. He assumed that they went with my lamp and he picked them up fixed my lamp while I was standing there. When I explained those were not my pieces and I wanted to pay him for his time and the pieces, he insisted that there was no charge for it. What fabulous customer service!! I had spent a few months researching this problem and he solved it in minutes. I would recommend Enchanted Lighting again and will certainly go back if I ever need help with a lamp again. They also have a beautiful selection of lamps to purchase and this will be my first stop when I need to buy a new lamp! read more

Based on this stores Google reviews, I decided to take my floor lamp to them for repair. My lamp had 2 sockets and both were 2 way. One socket stopped working but the other was fine. When I took it in for repair, I explained the problem the but man at the desk didn't write anything down other than it would be ready later that day. Since he didn't give me a cost estimate, I thought it wouldn't be too expensive and then if it was the work would be done well based on the Google reviews. I picked up the lamp later in the afternoon and when I got it home, I realized both sockets had been replaced and with just a one way socket. I called the store and explained my issue and at first the man sounded surprised that I questioned their "repair" work then was a bit dismissive. He said that he wouldn't know how to order such a socket. I asked that since he replaced both, why didn't he use a 3 Way socket and he didn't have an answer. He did say that if I wanted to use a 3 Way socket I could bring it back but there would be another repair charge. Since they charged me $95 to replace 2 sockets and used a different light socket type without calling me first, the answer is NO. Even though they do provide quick service, I would not recommend this lighting store for repairs. If you do go, make sure and ask for a repair estimate and also that someone call you if they don't have the parts to repair your lamps(s). read more
