He works out of his home. He repaired a beloved 30 year old lamp I have used at my piano since I was around age 30, and then he also fixed back up a late 1950s lamp I bought at an estate sale that needed some updating and minor fixing. Both work great! I brought them back home and sent him photos with the shades on them so he could see how they looked in my house. He charged $45 for the one and $65 for the other and I think that was a very fair price. He does the work well and meticulously so don't expect it back in minutes. Quality and expert repairs are not something that are common today, and I'm willing to pay a good price for someone who knows what he is doing. And clearly loves what he does. He will invite you to sit and chat for awhile if you have the time. Take him your business, you won't be sorry!

The second was in a utility closet which didn't have an outlet close enough. I contacted ABR and scheduled the one outlet install. The quote they provided over the phone was a lot lower than I expected. I was given a window for the install with the name of the technician doing the install. The tech, Ron, called me and let me know his arrival time. This is probably the first contractor I have ever used that showed up exactly the time he scheduled me in...maybe a few minutes early. He installed the outlet and asked if there was anything else he could do while he was here. I showed him the utility closet and my wife's thoughts on an outlet to charge the Dyson. He said....not a problem. The charge of the second outlet was a no brainer since I already paid for the service call for him to come out. Ron was professional, answered a few questions about the new house electrical setup, and did a great job cleaning up after himself. I couldn't be happier with the entire process. I can guarantee they will be the first call I make for all future work.
